01. .. i loved everything about this manhwa (except from their iffy first time). although i had seen plots like this before in other media, Iago did so well at adding their own specialties! johnny's trickster plot twists, and the continuous action scenes throughout were one of the many reasons that kept me engaged. i really did love watching how the MCs would grow together within the plot. as for the speed, i'd say it was well paced! especially with the tricks johnny was pulling on calahan, and the ten day limit. however, i will always be a slowburn lover at heart, so i do wish we got to see more bonding moments between them. especially after such a sweet epilogue with johnny's letter. i did find it a bit shocking at first that bill's reasoning to kill calahan was because of his daughter. but now that i see it from his pov, i can understand it. a grudge blooming open again because your daughter admires the man you hate? i can see it, just never thought it be that. amazing plot twist!!
02. .. i love the red string trope, and the plot was good in the beginning!! i liked the characters and thought the way they approached the trope was cool!! however, i felt that the plot was being lost once they continuously did the same thing every chapter. i did see people say that them doing it was essential for the story, but ehh.. maybe in the beginning because some info would be given to further the plot, but after the fifth or sixth time it felt lost to me. i do read for the plot so this just wasnt my cup of tea. if i did hypothetically pick it up again, it'd just be to see what happened with kihoon's injury. probably not though.
03. .. honestly, i think i've seen a glmm with this plot. which i thought was interesting (..◜ᴗ◝..)!! i always love a slowburn, but it felt a bit too slowburny for me. although, i did read this one late into the night, so i was probably just itching to finish the chapter and go to bed. i do love the plot so far and i cant wait to see how it ends!! i also heard its a poly? if it is im super excited for that!
04. .. i love this one so much!! it honestly has my whole heart with how obsessed i am. there's probably not one thing that i dont like about it. the plot is so good and the action is amazing!! i love the development between the taeman and dahyeok. it goes at such a well pace that i dont feel the burn in slowburn but not so fast that it feels rushed. they're such a sweet couple and im honestly glad there was none of those scenes. it felt like it allowed the story to focus on the feelings of their relationship rather than something physical. i also love the artstyle and the characters within the story. i do wish i saw more of the "family dynamic" the boss talked about. i think it wouldve been fun to see!
05. .. once i heard that jongwu was a vampire, i was immediately hooked! i love the concept and i would love to read more!! jongwu just has me going crazy over him trying to be a housewife (╥﹏╥ ; ).
06. .. actually there is something i hate about this story; the dad. i dont know what he did before getting into politics, but hes no good (obviously). i wasnt shocked but i was like "what the fuck..??" when he brought his son's stalker to him. like what?? it's absurd and insane?? dad needed to go. also, in the beginning i got hooked so quick. when i tell you it had me gasping, laughing in disbelief, and throwing my phone down cause parts were insane. i cant fully remember what scenes but brooo. it was good like hearing the craziest drama from your friend. i was locked in on this story. i also love the artstyle so much omg <33 im also kinda nervous about what will happen next because im getting dark romance flashbacks.. i dont want it to end up as dark romance. i dont know where andrew got those feelings from, but i hope they can be resolved (๑-﹏-๑).
07. .. in the beginning, i was so confused due to all the sudden new information we, as readers got while the characters fully understood (i love when they do this, or the other way around). up until ch. 4, i did have suspicions that he wasnt just locked up in some random basement while the world was normal. and just the way jihun spoke about the outside world helped me come to the early theory that it was an apocalypse (i didnt look at genre/tags so i was very proud that i got it right, okay?). the whole vibe just gave off apocalypse, anyways. whatever (¬_¬"). ever since the we found out about jinhun's situation, i was on hoping so badly for the arc where gitae figures it out (cause he clocks him so hard sometimes, like damn!) and we did successfully get it with him growing and maturing. not that his sillyness was bad; just glad to see him finally have a guide other than the instructions his dead parents left for him. as for gitae, im was so fucking glad when revenge was redeemed from his abusers. gitae deserved every single bit of satisfaction and more. they're both strong characters, but gitae's willingness to keep moving forward within life no matter what is admirable. a lot of people question why people in fictional apocolypse desire to live so long instead of just dying, and he's a perfect example. that stubborn-determination to not give up even when things go to shit. i love that so much about him, and i also love that despite their differences, they reshaped their morals around eachother (especially gitae). also, the little camera bit- i loved that so much too. it was so sentimental despite it being their present (the nostalgia part). the files will just sit there forever until another species finds it and is able to see those photos, or ultimately die with the last specks of humanity once jihun and gitae are gone (if the camera gets destroyed). i think the vacation chapter should've come before "lobo" ch. 6 because, once again, i personally saw it as the perfect ending. but the vacation chapter does that perfectly as well. i dont know, i just think the camera scene did it better due to the metaphor of humanity completely dying and ending with them. the artificial intelligence's dialogue just did so well with it. but their "last" happy moment was amazing too. the vulnerability that happens between them is so special and that they accepted the fact that they're probably the only ones left, and still wouldnt have it any other way is so bittersweet as well. i'm so happy they got their happy ending. i would recommend this to anyone and everyone.
