Catholic Colleges in Minnesota With Graduate Programs in Sociology

There are a number of good Catholic colleges in Minnesota, despite the historically Protestant demographics of the state. Although none of these colleges offer a graduate program in pure sociology, several have do my writing programs in adjacent areas that may be of interest to sociology students. This article lists a few of the best Catholic colleges in Minnesota with graduate programs related to sociology.

St. Catherine University
St. Catherine University is located in St. Paul, with another campus in Minneapolis. The undergraduate branch of the college is a women's college, the largest in the United States; however, the graduate programs enroll both sexes. St. Catherine's sociological graduate degree is a M.S.W. in Social Work, for which students with a sociological background could be strong candidates.

The College of St. Scholastica
The College of St. Scholastica is a top liberal arts college in the Midwest with a Catholic heritage. The main campus, in Duluth, offers a M.S.W. in Social Work. This program can be finished in as little as a year, and it features blended online and in-person learning.

University of St. Thomas

Its programs that might be of interest to a sociology student include a M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services and a M.A. in Health and Human Services Administration. Saint Mary's is well-known for its academic rigor as well as its affordability, making both these degrees a great option.

Although the state of Minnesota does not provide many options for students considering a graduate degree in pure or academic sociology from a Catholic college, many great related programs are available. If the latter, then any of the colleges listed above are great options.
