Off-Topic / OT
Off-Topic Pippins was created when someone who really liked a certain webcomic called "Stuck at Home" made a board game based on it and created him. Kris and Noelle bought the game one day out of boredom, and now he lives with Kris under their bed.
He’s nerdy and into programming, computers, comedy, and bad movies—hey wait, hasn’t this been done already?
In TV WORLD, his role is being an assistant. Though he’s rarely needed, since no one really wants to talk to him. Plus he has that weirdo autistic energy.
If he were to interact with the other Pippins, they probably wouldn’t think much of him besides “oh hey, it’s that one guy.”
Overall, he’s fine.
RADIATION-Pippins
RADIATION-Pippins originally came from another random board game lying around in Kris’s bedroom. There’s not a very interesting story here—he’s just a putrid shade of green dice in the Light World. For some reason, there’s a sunglasses sticker barely hanging onto him.
He likes cool things: skating, stunts (obviously), junk food, bad music, and edgy stuff.
His role in TV WORLD is a stuntman. He does all the stunts and cool stuff there.
He gets along well with the other Pippins. He has a certain charm and charisma that makes him easy to be around.
He gets along REALLY well with OT Pippins. So well that they’re practically dating...
Overall, he’s FUCKING COOL.
Cracked Pippins / Amputee Pips
Cracked Pippins was originally part of a full dice set used by teachers to demonstrate statistics, probability, and math games.
Because of the Lightners that used him for educational purposes, he became very smart—loving to solve problems, puzzles, and things of that sort. He has a knack for numbers and math, which is why in TV WORLD he does paperwork, calculations, and other similar tasks. It’s the role he likes most because it challenges him the most.
Eventually, they stopped using the dice. They gathered up the rest of the set but left him behind in the classroom, while the others were put away in storage. Some monster found him lying on the teacher’s desk, took him, and brought him home.
This monster, being a kid, would naturally roughhouse with him. They’d throw him around, toss him, and abuse him until one day they put him in their mouth and chewed on him. With one strong chomp, the dice cracked—chipping pieces off and causing him to become an amputee in the Dark World.
One day, the monster brought the cracked dice to school and ended up dropping him on the floor, leaving him there for hours. When school ended, Kris found the dice and decided to bring him home. Cracked Pips was deathly afraid of Kris at first, but when Kris cleaned him off after seeing how dirty he was, then placed him with the other dice and toys, he started to feel safer. Whenever Kris and Noelle would play, they’d sometimes use the cracked die, which made Cracked Pippins realize that not all Lightners are bad—some are just stupid. (Why chew on dice anyway?)
Cracked Pips now struggles with intense self-loathing because he feels like a burden, always needing help for things he can’t do. But despite losing his legs, feeling like a burden, and being cracked, he tries to make the best of his situation no matter what.
While crunching numbers and being a bookworm is his specialty, he also tries being a comedian. He fails horribly at it—Fuzzy is the only one who laughs at his bad jokes.
I originally wrote that the other Pippins in TV WORLD didn’t like him because he got special treatment for being an amputee, but I changed that since it felt too mean. Most of the Pippins actually like him; it’s just a small minority who don’t.
He uses a wheelchair most of the time, but sometimes he’ll crawl or hop around instead.
He’s always tired, which led to a caffeine addiction. He LOVES coffee and tea.
He has two daughters and two wives (HOW DID THIS MAN DO IT???)
Overall, he’s an incredibly kind and caring individual. Even though his circumstances are messed up, he’s happy and content with what he has.
Tuft
Tuft is the daughter of Cracked Pippins (father) and Fuzzy Dice Pippins (mother). Her Light World counterpart is a DIY dice ornament made by Noelle. In the Light World, Tuft has bits of loose yellow fur glued onto her, small cracks from the crafting process, string so she can hang, and a googly eye for some reason.
Tuft, just like her father, is incredibly smart and curious. She loves learning new things, drawing, doing crafts, and sharing weird or interesting facts she’s discovered. She’s a creative and intelligent kid. She usually doesn’t talk much and prefers to stay quiet. While she has friends, she tends to enjoy being alone most of the time. She’s very bird-coded—both in looks and behavior.
She gets along well with the other Pippin kids. She’s the oldest of them by two years and also the tallest, thanks to Fuzzy’s genes.
She has a half-sister, Celeste, who is the child of Cracked Pips (father) and Alien Dice Pips (mother). Tuft tries to get along with Celeste as best she can, but it’s difficult since they don’t really like each other that much.
In the Dark World, her googly eye becomes her lazy eye. Her vision is poor, so she sometimes has to wear glasses that make her look like a nerd. She doesn’t like them much and prefers using contacts or something similar.
She has a good relationship with both her parents. She loves them equally but is a bit of a daddy’s girl and prefers to spend time with her dad.
Overall, she’s a nice kid. Also, obligatory “Fuzzy Dice Pips getting cucked” joke here.
