UL Students Notes (Part 2)

POST: Self enquiry method?

There is no self inquiry method in the materials. In fact, no method or technique is promoted or encouraged...these are lesser truths that are what and you don't need to entertain them...WHO you are takes care of all hand waving. This "method" was mentioned in the Neville sub where ppl favor what over WHO...not sure you'll get much insight on it here...WHO is discussed over what so the answers will seem obtuse if you're seeking a process.

Understanding non-change fact is the point of discussion.

Self-inquiry seems pretty straightforward though...ask yourself the question and give yourself the answer...remember WHO is asking and WHO is answering...that's literally all there is. No need to be frustrated with the answers seeming others give you...skip the what and go to WHO instead...ask yourself. :)

John_paolucci: Not making anything formal out of what the words self inquiry method mean, I only presented one: All alone, no one else in the universe besides me, all my private dream, what am I doing?
All alone, no one else in the universe besides me, all my private dream, what am I doing asking myself about self-inquiry methods?

7Kek7: You are FL, IMO just stop convincing yourself that you’re not. I don’t think it needs to be much more difficult than that.

Here's another act smart answer which doesnt answer the question

7Kek7: Well the question you asked boils down to “how do I convince myself that I am who I am ASAP....” Seems sort of like a dog chasing it’s tail.
You could always try just commanding your universe as FL and seeing if you get what you want, or what result you do get. That’s been the most convincing for me.
I don’t think this needs to be about years of study and self reflection, though if you’re stubborn enough you could certainly make it that

The question says what are the self enquiry method people use... you ignored that and replied with something that doesn't address the question...If you don't have the answer, you can not reply

7Kek7: There are already hours of JPs materials covering seemingly everything that could be covered. I’m not sure a “self inquiry method” would add anything, is necessary, or is part of his teachings at all. I think JPs main point is this isn’t about methods at all.
You really just have to do what JP has so kindly laid out for us, which is actually nothing.
It’s a sweet deal.

The last I heard reddit is a discussion forum no? Discussions are encouraged no? What's the point of having this channel if everyone replies like you?

John_paolucci: If you walk into a candy store and ask about coffee, don't be supersized if you get a coffee-candy answer. This is a Who store not a what store.

The answer to all questions--

This is a Who store not a what store!!!

I love it so much! Thank you, it's so brilliant! :)

POST: Does reality/past collapse or follows a natural progression?

I'd suggest becoming more familiar with WHO you are...knowing this non-change fact puts all of these questions to rest. You're off the hook to do anything else. :)

John_paolucci: And here is an image [missing] to help nail SillyLadyPickle's point. The bag represents grappling with any issue in time-space. CED stands for any demands required of you to solve the issue. You can sit on your Royal Throne and act like a pauper, but I don't recommend it.

omegaaces: Both can happen.
let's assume that she's been in a stable relationship for 5 years but you are not aware of it
Who does this event come from?
When you command from UL.. how would the outcome follow?
Who is asking? Perhaps you're looking at commanding as UL as "me using this thing" rather than something personal.

mossyeyes: If course you might say time is an illusion and only UL matters... but in the real realm, you gotta deal with time
That sure seems like an arbitrary limit to place on yourself as All-Pervasive All-Thing and Creator of All That Is, Was and Ever Will Be.

*omegaaces: I guess I was thinking practically... cause it's between trying for someone new or waiting for the one you like
Does practical thinking in this sense mean acting as if you aren't the sole commander? "Practicality" "How to behave" "How others relate to me" "Common sense" are all rules from you. Those are some clever CED's. When commanding your universe, why look to anything besides the base fact of Who you are? When you said "waiting for the one you like" what are you looking to that says "I need to wait"?

  • FL: Decide not to go that what place inside yourself. Take responsibility for everything starting inside yourself first, because Who you are is Me right this instant. Instead, acting on Me in Principle always this very instant will determine a return of desirable ways and conditions.
  • FL: Try asking: “But Who about?”
When you say "it's between x and y" your One voice is speaking.
Alt Tag You have the option of choosing to encounter someone new who fulfills you more than who you currently want beyond your wildest expectations if the prospect of "that person is in a relationship" is too much at the moment.
no point waiting for someone if its gonna take a long-time right?
There's only one person that decides this. Whatever happens or doesn't happen all comes down to you.
but in the real realm, you gotta deal with time
I don't want to seem like I'm trying to give non-answers, but there is really only one Who this comes from. "Have to deal with time" is also something coming from you. With that, "the real realm" and any seriousness or rules applied to it comes from you as well. By your nature, you are above time and space. How far you're willing to take this is up to you. People tend to find virtue in beating their chest by their performance in "the real world" or through their barely surviving in the midst of it. Knowing the grand scheme, however, what is the real world, really? What seriousness or urgency should you apply to your world?*

7Kek7: I’ve had instant or near instant manifestation when my intent was for it to be instant. You don’t have to acknowledge anything other than what you want.

mossyeyes: +1 - Can confirm.
Linear time is a sham. Your reality conforms to your expectations, so if you think you can't manifest instantly, you're almost certainly right.

beloveis: +2 - Defo Confirm!
In my experience with JP's material, it's so beautiful realizing we simply do No-thing and only keep our eye on FL to materialize our command/intention (seemingly big or small, since there is zero difference) instantly!

omegaaces: we have to acknowledge that at the current level of human consciousness, we are unable to do that.
The same voice is always speaking, no matter where that person's seeming-consciousness is at. Indivisible always means indivisible. With that in place, I'll put this quote again:
FL: Decide not to go that what place inside yourself. Take responsibility for everything starting inside yourself first, because Who you are is Me right this instant. Instead, acting on Me in Principle always this very instant will determine a return of desirable ways and conditions.
In some older UL material from John (2013 or so) there's the idea of a magic hand which reaches directly to you through all seeming-systemics. I think that concept fits well in this situation. Regardless of what systemics are going on within or around you, you can still act on UL material and build (or rebuild, depending on how you look at it) your universe.
we have to acknowledge
Now again, Who is saying this? All alone, why would I acknowledge this? Does my current human consciousness mean I am not the sole commander of the universe?
Because I am sole commander, why would I acknowledge a rule I made, in a game I mastermind? This is what the hide and seek game presents, any situation that will have you say "I'm not that". Because one-thing is indivisible, however, I always-already am that.

jotawins: This real realm is dreamlike...

POST: Love issues - how do you uncreate?

There are things you can do to speed it up but after reading the texts you should see you're everyone and not just you. You want everything to be both harmonious and a little bit chaotic. If you were in the father line position, the seat of the soul, would it be any fun just letting yourself have that cookie, that piece of candy? No! Deep down you want to have fun in this experience.... What could you be trying to teach yourself from that final eternal point? That you shouldnt be trying to be possessive? Or are you teaching yourself to pick up all the skills required to manipulate and coerce people into liking your physical vessel? That is up to you since ultimately You're the one in this body.

Actually, yes, just letting yourself have the cookie, candy and person is exactly what FL does...there is no deeper meaning or truth found in suffering or denial...the only thing you find there is a limited perceptions conclusion. There's nothing deep down that wants, or needs to suffer first, nothing is hidden...all these ideas are what not WHO...skip the what and go directly to WHO.

Also, there's no manipulation involved in wanting something/someone, no coercion, there's nothing to speed up or do...I recommend reexamining the materials to find out why...it's a truly sweet deal! ;)

John_paolucci: Due to my fears,
Due to you're unfamiliarity with Who you are – that's all.
Check out the UL materials for that and you'll know how to handle anything. Otherwise there will be almost no end to your questions. All the talk on this reddit comes down to everything being as simple as ONE thing.
where I'm stuck is decreating something which has already been created
Find out from the UL materials why that conclusion (above quote) is a command of your universe which is creating your reality right now. It's always right now. And you don't change that command by trying to get rid of it. It inherently changes itself as the result of understanding Who you are. You see how silly it would be to use Yourself that way and instead go to a place within yourself of positive refinement – irrespective of any "the way things are." Who you are is above "the way things are." Then everything is as simple as changing Your mind.
The capitalized You and Who refers to you as the sole commander of the universe.

...

Somehow this post made me feel sad... makes me feel that it will take a long time for them to end their stuff and that I have no control over it

John_paolucci: Yes, if I were in your shoes, I'd feel depressed after reading just_another_vessel's response. Not everyone in this reddit is well-versed in the UL knowledge. That's because this is a place of learning. What you were advised came from the standard info of Law Of Attraction or New Thought Movement. They will advise all kinds of hoops to jump through, most of which will be difficult to control. Soon all of this will be considered "old world" knowledge where people considered themselves to be just another vessel containing part something bigger than themselves. just_another_vessel gets to learn from posts like mine which is why we're here. All is working as it should.

7Kek7: Once you understand who you are you will understand why none of that matters

omegaaces: we have to acknowledge that at the current level of human consciousness, we are unable to do that.
The same voice is always speaking, no matter where that person's seeming-consciousness is at. Indivisible always means indivisible. With that in place, I'll put this quote again:

POST: You are the Dreamer of Your Private Dream

*omegaaces:
I’ve tried doing nothing
Perhaps while you tried you experienced an onslaught of doubt and fear, which you bought into, acting on the knowledge that those things would be a detriment to your manifestation.
I'd like to say a couple things about some comments in this thread:
I’m not sure what I need or am supposed to do to manifest things
While I understand difficulties with reading or comprehending certain subject material, the hand-sea analogy explains in no uncertain terms why you're not "missing" anything, only the acknowledgement of WHO you are. The newest text does a great job of explaining why doing nothing is a valid action.
Here's the flow of facts explaining why knowing you are One-thing is useful:
Why everything has one thing in common Why everything is that one thing I am one thing (of which there are significant implications to this, so it would help to carefully consider what this means). Knowing why you are one-thing and thus one all-person is crucial:

  • Don’t let anything unresolved go unanswered about why you’re ONE thing and ONE all-person. The info following that is only superficial compared to these first two points, and you’ll only get caught up and lost in superficiality unless you get those two nailed firmly.*

ganapatya: You can manifest anything. That includes knowledge of what to do. Decide that you will receive an understanding, then see what happens. Just know that whatever happens or doesn't happen, it's a result of your own power. A bit more complicated or advanced version: everything that happens in your life, happens because you manifested it. "Manifestation" isn't some special aspect of life -- it is life. It's the basic way life works, and what we think of as "cause and effect" is actually part of that bigger law. Really think about what that means. For one thing, it means that these materials showed up in your life in a form that's hard for you to understand not because of any outside force, but because you manifested it that way. So decide to manifest it a different way. Don't worry about how it will happen, don't worry about when. Just intend to learn the knowledge that will help you materialize whatever you want. If you want any reassurance or help in the meantime, this forum is always here. But remember: you don't need anything -- not even the understanding or knowledge that I'm currently advising you to manifest. You already use the power of manifesting to create your whole world. Just intend to see how that works -- and see what happens.

Asking yourself why something is or isn't possible might be helpful. You won't know what you know unless you ask yourself first.

It's all about WHO and why that's important. It's not faith or belief...those are conditions you've placed on yourself...why?

The voice you hear inside your head is the voice of WHO...why?

The dark, blank void you see when you close your eyes is WHO...why?

Some clarity directly from FL-

"My final structural reality is that I’m all-pervasive fullness and the authorship of all variations.

If your return is not forthcoming, guess what is the only thing you need to do?

Acknowledgement of Me."

My suggestion is-- give up trying to manifest and instead think about what manifesting means...and why it's possible to begin with.

Also, think about what it means to be

all-pervasive fullness and the authorship of all variations.

(Look up the definitions of all the words and see if maybe doing that might help.)

Ultimately everything works...it's up to you...why?

Jumping all over the place however, will only make you dizzy.

...

That's exactly what I'm suggesting you think about. If it's not those things...what is it?...or better yet...WHO is it?

...

Perhaps my other suggestion??...do nothing... and let things work themselves out.

From r/JohnPaolucciTeachings

Point break? ;)

I meant it as a joke...Point Break- the movie...all about that big wave!

This experience is all wave, if you're bored, play! Make some waves! Splash around! :)

...

Honestly, I'm not sure?

This realm-being perspective might be the ultimate playground, and hide and seek the ultimate game...yet waves, the lesser games, the most fun because their only purpose is experience of something other than Self and totality? Otherwise, there would've been no reason to wave in the first place?

You know WHO, so play with what? Perhaps somehow that leads to a greater understanding or purpose...although, I think this realm-being perspective is the point.

Doing only what you love to do, how can anything get old...unless you're not actually doing what you love??

If you were doing what you loved the answer would be simple...continue doing just that, right?

If you weren't really doing what you loved than you'd demand something of yourself...CED to bring you back to WHO so you could get back to doing only what you love. FL only does what he loves to do...if he didn't, there wouldn't be this experience to play with. Point break- ride the big one...the waves are fun once you know WHO you are! ;)

The Pearl of Great Price...a few essential points from this Neville lecture. (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

"If you think for one moment you can hold on to one little thing in the event this doesn’t work, you can’t buy the pearl. And so when I buy the pearl, I go all out and live by it. And there is no other being in this world, just this pearl, and I live by it. This pearl is your own wonderful human Imagination.” – Neville Goddard

"Everyone in the world is using this only power, but they don’t know it. So he’s trying to bring us to the knowledge of this power and the wise use of it. It’s called -as we first quoted it-“The Pearl of Great Price.”

So great is this pearl, so valuable, it takes everything that you own to buy it. Now you don’t go and liquidate your stocks and bonds… you don’t sell your homes; you don’t sell anything in the world of Caesar. But it takes everything that you now believe in other than it to pay for it.

You believe in astrology? You’ve got to sell it.

You believe in numerology, in teacup leaves, in all these things? No matter what you believe in as power to control you, you’ve got to sell it.

It takes the belief -all these beliefs- and you’ve got to sell them. No one will buy them from you! But you give them up as value-less! Therefore, there’s no price attached, no value whatsoever. But you can’t hold on to one thing you now believe in as a power that controls your life and still hope to buy the pearl of great price.

Everything you now believe in...you've got to sell it.

There is no way to God but Christ. I AM the way. There is no other way.

To summarize this lecture-

Nothing outside of yourself/I AM has the power to give life to anything. (In other words, nothing else has the power to manifest your desires). To buy the pearl means to completely give up any, and all, belief in a power outside of yourself/I AM. To believe that anything else, other than I AM, has power to give life (manifest a desire) isn't fully buying the pearl.

Why does this matter? Because believing in a power outside yourself/I AM is why ppl struggle to manifest their desires consistently, or at all. Without a foundation you can't expect to have a stable house. If you're just going through the motions of doing techniques and methods w/o wondering why you're doing them, or why they work in the first place, than how could you possibly understand why something did or didn't happen...you have no foundation to look to for answers. If a house starts to tilt, one looks for cracks in the foundation before they can figure out how to put it back in place. :)

An important reminder from ch 1 of Freedom for All- (Neville...obviously.) :) (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

THE ONENESS OF GOD

HEAR, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord. Hear, O Israel: Hear, O man made of the very substance of God:

You and God are one and undivided!

Man, the world and all within it are conditioned states of the unconditioned one, God. You are this one; you are God conditioned as man. All that you believe God to be, you are; but you will never know this to be true until you stop claiming it of another, and recognize this seeming other to be yourself. God and man, spirit and matter, the formless and the formed, the creator and the creation, the cause and the effect, your Father and you are one. This one, in whom all conditioned states live and move and have their being, is your I AM, your unconditioned consciousness.

Unconditioned consciousness is God, the one and only reality. By unconditioned consciousness is meant a sense of awareness; a sense of knowing that I AM apart from knowing who I AM; the consciousness of being, divorced from that which I am conscious of being.

I AM aware of being man, but I need not be man to be aware of being. Before I became aware of being someone, I, unconditioned awareness, was aware of being, and this awareness does not depend upon being someone. I AM self-existent, unconditioned consciousness; I became aware of being someone; and I shall become aware of being someone other than this that I am now aware of being; but I AM eternally aware of being whether I am unconditioned formlessness or I am conditioned form. As the conditioned state, I (man), might forget who I am, or where I am, but I cannot forget that I AM. This knowing that I AM, this awareness of being, is the only reality.

This unconditioned consciousness, the I AM, is that knowing reality in whom all conditioned states – conceptions of myself – begin and end, but which ever remains the unknown knowing being when all the known ceases to be. All that I have ever believed myself to be, all that I now believe myself to be, and all that I shall ever believe myself to be, are but attempts to know myself – the unknown, undefined reality. This unknown knowing one, or unconditioned consciousness, is my true being, the one and only reality. I AM the unconditioned reality conditioned as that which I believe myself to be. I AM the believer limited by my beliefs, the knower defined by the known.

A few highlights from- The Law and The Promise ch 1. :) (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

"Men pay too little attention to this priceless gift — The Human Imagination — and a gift is practically nonexistent unless there is a conscious possession of it and a readiness to use it. All men possess the power to create reality, but this power sleeps as though dead, when not consciously exercised. Men live in the very heart of creation — The Human Imagination — yet are no wiser for what takes place therein. Do not bow before the dictate of facts and accept life on the basis of the world without. Assert the supremacy of your Imaginal acts over facts and put all things in subjection to them. Hold fast to your ideal in your imagination. Nothing can take it from you but your failure to persist in imagining the ideal realized. Imagine only such states that are of value or promise well.

To attempt to change circumstances before you change your imaginal activity, is to struggle against the very nature of things. There can be no outer change until there is first an imaginal change. Everything you do, unaccompanied by an imaginal change, is but futile readjustment of surfaces. Imagining the wish fulfilled brings about a union with that state, and during that union you behave in keeping with your imaginal change. This shows you that an imaginal change will result in a change of behavior.

However, your ordinary imaginal alterations as you pass from one state to another are not transformations because each of them is so rapidly succeeded by another in the reverse direction. But whenever one state grows so stable as to become your constant mood, your habitual attitude, then that habitual state defines your character and is a true transformation. How do you do it? Self-abandonment! That is the secret. You must abandon yourself mentally to your wish fulfilled in your love for that state, and in so doing, live in the new state and no more in the old state.

You can't commit yourself to what you do not love, so the secret of self-commission is faith — plus love.

Faith is believing what is unbelievable. Commit yourself to the feeling of the wish fulfilled, in faith that this act of self-commission will become a reality. And it must become a reality because imagining creates reality. Imagination is both conservative and transformative. It is conservative when it builds its world from images supplied by memory and the evidence of the senses. It is creatively transformative when it imagines things as they ought to be, building its world out of the generous dreams of fancy."

POST: I'm falling into the same pitfalls as some others on here are: Nothing ever works out

Yup, that's right if you use space to mean the most fundamental thing, not limited to the four dimensions of space-time, but the thing from which space-time and all else "emerges." Like I think you've alluded to, every bit of the volume of the sun and moon is hosted by the fundamental reference field - it's not just the space in between them that comprises the field, rather the sun, moon, space-time, and everything else, at every scale. We could say that the sun and moon both have in common, and are themselves the reference field, since the field pervades every bit of the sun, moon, and all else. If something is all-pervasive, and boundless (as the ultimate reference field would have to be, since it hosts all boundaries), it has to be one thing. Everything, then, is one-thing, despite our common experience.

Sometimes I think of the universe as a boundless x-dimensional screen of infinite resolution. It could play a "movie" of anything, at any scale. Since the resolution is infinite, the screen is not composed of "pixels" with separations between them, rather the screen itself fully becomes the image (you could then say that the screen fully pervades the image), making the screen and image one.

Taking this further, who's watching the reality-movie? Since the screen itself is boundless and all-pervasive, it is the only thing available to do the watching. But who is transmitting the movie that is being played on the screen? Well, there's no transmission, since the screen, being all-pervasive and boundless, doesn't leave room for any transmitter separate from itself. So here's an all-pervasive, ubiquitous screen that is playing something of and for itself (i.e., what it "plays" is that which it becomes). The screen itself decides what's "on": what dimensionality it takes place in, how long it is, the scenery, who the characters are, and everything else down to every infinitesimal detail. The screen itself is then the very intelligence behind every facet of the entire production.

So who is this singular intelligence, this all-encompassing screen/writer/producer/director/movie that you find yourself a character in? You know that the screen is singular and all-pervasive. You know that you, being an element of this movie and being fully comprised of the screen, are actually the screen as well. You know that the screen is beyond dimensionality, which is just an illusory facet of the movie it is playing, so there really is no physical "you" that is merely a "part" of the screen. The screen is indivisible, it has no boundaries, nor is it hosted by a larger "super screen" (or else that would be the ultimate, all-encompassing screen) capable of presenting a division between you and it. So then, since you are apparently part of the screen, you are actually the entire screen, despite your experience.

But remember, the screen is also the writer, producer, director, and movie, full of various characters. It might not seem like you write anyone else's lines, but you certainly write the ones for your own character. And if you are a writer, you must be the writer - there's no room for two! So, despite what you conclude from your character's point of view, you are always writing everyone's parts, including your own. This is actually something you experience on an apparently smaller scale when you dream at night. You are the dreamer, the person in the dream walking around doing things, the dream scenery, and all the dream characters. Sometimes you know you are dreaming and you take control. Therein lies the most significant difference between waking life and dreams- you know that dreams just happen in your head, but you don't yet know that "waking life" is also essentially a dream. This is something that u/SillyLadyPickle brought to my attention a while back - we can take control of our dreams because we know that they are "just dreams." We may use lucid dreaming techniques to try to make this happen consistently, but it's the fundamental knowledge that basically says "I can control my dream reality" with no understanding of how, only knowledge of why, "because I am the dreamer."

BTW, I don't mean u/Sizzlindi01 when I say "you know xyz." I'm just talking generally to get the idea across.

Hey sizzlindi,

The idea behind the UL info is that all you have to do is know that you are One-Thing and One All-Person. That basically means that you read the material and think about it. Ask yourself questions - the questions John includes at the end of AFG#2 are good and there for this purpose. They are the types of questions that might arise as you consider the base facts. As John mentions, you want to get to the point where any nagging questions as to why you are One-Thing and One All-Person are satisfied. "Lightly agreeing," as John puts it, is reading the material and saying to yourself that it all makes sense, while still having unanswered questions that leave gaps in your foundation. If you only lightly agree, those holes in your understanding will make it difficult to gain any resolve in knowing that you are One-Thing/OAP.

An analogy to identifying with less than who you really are might be understanding the principles of swimming, thinking "I want to swim and the mechanics of swimming all make perfect sense.." and then thinking "...but I've always been so weak in my upper body; it will take so long for me to get to the point of being able to swim" - basically, continuing to identify with your limitations and weaknesses, rather than acting on the knowledge that you have everything you need to be able to start swimming.

The questions that might crop up while considering the base facts of One-Thing should be tackled so that you don't have any reasonable doubts about those facts. A reasonable doubt might be "I get that everything is one thing, but I don't see how that makes me a One All-Person who is the sole commander of my private dream." If that arises, you might want to re-read the material, ask questions here or on discord. Once you are resolved in that knowledge, you are completely off the hook to respond to any doubts that arise from the perspective of your perceptions' conclusions. For example, "If I'm sole commander and I want $10K in front of me, why isn't it here in front of me? This must be bogus" is what John calls a CED and is putting the "what" (any thing or experience) before the "who" (the knowledge that you arrived at, through careful consideration of the material, that says that you are One-Thing and One All-Person). The idea is to know that you are OAP/UL and to re-establish your identity as THAT over and above the knowledge that you are u/Sizzlindi01.

In the swimming analogy, if you keep questioning your ability to swim and continue to identify with your perceived shortcomings, you are not identifying with "a human being who is capable of, and well equipped to swim."

It's also important to know (and this knowledge is something John says outright, though it is also one of the things that you have to prove to yourself through consideration of the facts) that no perception/experience/event has any bearing on WHO you are. That means that you could command for your $10K and not see it in front of you, and that perceived absence of $10K in $100 bills on your coffee table does not disprove or negate the reality of who you are as One All-Person. The more you do command sessions or the other remedial activities John talks about in AFG#2, the further you go toward re-establishing your identity as Totality. The return of your commands will be proportional to your knowledge of who you really are, so stick with that knowledge and don't worry about whether or not your commands seem to work. Thinking about that is only going to trap you in the proof loop of being an incapable swimmer. That's why John says to treat it all like a dream. Have fun with it. Yes, do what you think you must to deal with the day-to-day, command if you would like, but treat the command like imaginary play. It's not the commanding itself that will get you what you want, rather it's the underlying knowledge of who you are.

In a dream, what ultimately allows you to control the scenario is your underlying knowledge that you are the dreamer. You just know during your waking life that there are these things called dreams that are 100% you, despite your limited perspective in the dream. You identify with the dreamer, lying in bed. You've probably known it your whole life.

In the case of UL, considering the non-change facts will give you the resolve to sit in a 10m session and "act" as the commander of your private dream. During that time all thoughts like "but I don't feel like I'm that tree over there" cannot add or take away anything. Just like in a dream, when you know it is a dream, no conflict or random event can ever ruffle your feathers. There in the lucid dream, the worse that could happen if you entertain any event is that you slip back into the dream scenario as a willing participant (i.e. you re-identify with the dream character). No matter what you do, however, you will always be the dreamer.

Similarly, in your 10m session, no matter what you do, you will always be UL, however, since the goal is to re-establish your identity with UL, you simply don't intentionally adhere to any CEDs, which tell you otherwise. What makes it a "Sweet Deal" as opposed to a "Sweaty Ordeal" is that you don't have to do anything in response to the CEDs to not adhere to them. Once you decided to sit down and do a session, which in itself is an acknowledgement that you are UL, it doesn't matter what happens.

Cool, glad it makes sense! For sure, the experience can make you more confident in your ability to have lucid dreams, but it didn't help you to become lucid the first time :)

Clanless_x: Try doing nothing, just look to FL and be FL. Let FL be you. I was "doing" the same as you. Had the same systematic trap of doing, but not seeing FL in every aspect of conclusion. You will see the game you're playing on yourself. The game of " we always end up failing "

John_paolucci: A UL accomplishment is based on understanding principles in a step by step manner: one leads to another until the understanding is sufficiently practical to act on. It’s self-validating because unless you have a broken link, you can retrace any point of the information back to a simple base fact. “The usual way” as you say, is based on your understanding, not blindly following a procedure. You say you don’t understand, so it’s unlike that any way you're thinking of is going to help. Therefore, my first question to assist you is if you're okay with the principle – a non-change fact – that any two or more things have a common reference field.

Yes I'm aware and fully believe the base Principle. It lingers on the back of my mind however and I can't say I'm always consciously thinking about being UL every waking second. Even if I try my best to integrate UL into the mundane things I do it rarely happens because I get absorbed into the actions I do and thus I forget.

John_paolucci: That's what your sessions are for. UL gets infused into the nature of your mind. A session is the most conducive time for that to happen for the reasons you just mentioned. When you come out of your session, you take more of that with you. There's no need to try to integrate while you're engaged in action. If it happens naturally, fine. Reviewing the materials also integrates because new demands of your world cause you to draw on the meaning of the materials in a different way and thus you see the info in a new light.

POST: Further clarity on how to face the world after a session?

*John_paolucci: Neither. That's LOA wishful thinking behavioral talk.
UL materials are about knowing non-change facts and acting on those during your command session by what you do.
How to face the world? From A Closer Look At Your First Two Essentials:
There are three smart things to do in a 1-2-3 sequential alternating way:

  1. First, command your universe – either with a standalone command content into Me like $10K, or by simply being Me for the $10K as I just described above.
  2. Take your return as if comes and enjoy it. If necessary, respond with practical adjustments within your resources of accurate information or definite supply.** Take care of whatever needs to be done during your day.
  3. After that, return to Me commanding your universe – at least twice a day, morning and evening.
Example: Adjust your windshield wiper if necessary. Make sure you have accurate info from your car manual. If it needs a new wiper, have the definite supply you need from the auto store. The wiper metaphor represents anything you find your realm-being faculties interacting with. This applies to UL materials as well.*

Thanks John.. a further question.. I don't have any issues with not doing anything after the sessions... cause sometimes there's nothing you can do physically to change things
The difficulty is when the issue remains in your mind cause you know thoughts arise on their own... let's say if your dog had gone missing and you do the sessions and take no further action... but your mind will constantly worry throughout the day on how your dog is, is it alive, will you be seeing it soon etc

John_paolucci: After you've done your best to take reasonable action, balancing that with all your other priorities throughout your day, the only thing I would add to address the worry is to ask yourself:
"All alone, no one in the universe besides me, all my private dream, what am I doing?"
Hearing this factual statement is also helpful: “If you could see just a small fraction of the reasons why your dog went missing, and how it fits into every detail of the Universal Plan's infinite correlation, you'd fall to your knees and weep over the unspeakable glory. If you could see all the details, you’d have a resolved smile like you see in the portrait of Father Line.”

Thanks... in that case... if me not getting back my dog is part of the universe plan and me commanding as FL to get the dog back... isn't it called overwriting the universe perfect plan?

John_paolucci: No. Whatever pops in your mind is the Plan even if you feel like a rogue elephant because the Plan is all-pervasive. I'm not going Churchy-submissive-smooshy on you. :) The Plan might be for you to raise one hell of a stink to get your dog back because that's what others' need as a return, and what's best for your evolution. Watch and see.
I might tell a Police Officer that his Plan was to shoot and kill with every last bullet he had left because within his situation, it was his sworn duty to do so.
What about Hitler's henchmen who's sworn duty it was to eradicate Jews? To me the biggest WW2 secret is that in the cause-al realms, Jew's collectively made a contractual agreement with Hitler to deliver their bargained expansion opportunity (see the end of The Hierarchy of Beings text for the concept). The same goes for every single one of the millions who were killed during the war. If the allies had known that fact, they would not have hated Hitler but would have just done a job which needed to be done to eradicate a tyrant.

Complete Authorship Integrity never stops being that. Why? Because one total thing never stops being one total thing (1st law of Universal Line). Whatever decision you choose to make is that Complete Authorship Integrity.

Complete Authorship Integrity = perfect choice (because total completeness is always that, in the grand scheme, every choice you make is the right one) and sufficient supply (direct implication of UL being the fountainhead of all variations). As far as whether "getting my dog back" fits into the "plan of the universe" or not, see Who is asking.

So he can either get his dog back and that benefits certain people (including him) or he can lose his dog and that too would benefit certain people (including him) but in a different way?

John_paolucci: Father Line: Everything too good to be true, is true because that's Who I am and there is only Me. You get the opportunity to conclude otherwise via Me doing partial view of Me. You'll find out how partial view is too good to be true, yet true also. Sorry but there's no other place to go besides Me. :) Who would have thought, huh?

In localized experience, anything could happen. It could benefit some people, it could benefit everyone, it could leave everyone worse off (localized). Where Complete Authorship Integrity fits in is that regardless of what happens it is total perfection. Everyone benefits in the end no matter what happens in localized perception.

POST: How instant can instant manifestations really be?

Instant means instant. There's no semantic battles to be played there.

"In the real world"

Start with why two or more things have one thing in common, that goes for "the real world" too. When you go inside yourself and say "in the real world" "or "there needs to be a sequence of events" those are both direct commands happening inside of yourself. I won't post an image of FL saying "Well in the real world..." or "These things need to happen first before..." :)

Especially for big items?

And Who is the source of those "big items"? If you look at them as big items having an existence of their own and not being you, it's a given that you'd be intimidated with the idea of manifesting it. Putting what before Who is putting the cart before the horse.

POST: "I don't understand the material, help!"

From John's materials in 2013 (that's as far back as I could find when I first encountered John's materials), to APP in 2016, to ADL in 2018, the material has gotten much simpler, and it continues to progress. The 3 step protocol in the 10 minute remedial procedure is being retconned, for lack of a better word, by the simplicity of looking to FL (due to the attribute of infinite intelligence, why do the 3 step protocol, when principle covers that base as well?). From 2013 to today, the base concept of UL has always been the same, it's just become much more refined in acting on it. I say this because what was standard even a few months ago as far as the materials is being refined to something much simpler. The core principle of UL remains the same, acting on it is changing.

The fundamental truth, according to the material, is that you always-already are, and the only difference between you and FL is perception. If this is the case, looking to and taking seriously "I'm not there yet" is acting out of line with the protocol of looking to FL. Seeing as infinite intelligence and indivisibility means you always-already are that, entertaining "I'm not there yet" or "I didn't study the info enough" is missing the implications of "indivisible". I'm still getting used to the new FL spin on things, so I'll see if anyone has better input on that part. However, from what I've gathered so far, it's gone from "No results = unfamiliarity with material" to "No results = Father Line's CED".

POST: Is an absence of return a true lack of understanding of WHO or a fault in the premise of UL?

John_paolucci: If you have to question the premise of UL, then you didn't get your own private conviction from the explanation of why – starting with why two or more things have one thing in common.
Go take care of that by paying closer attention, and everything else will follow. If you're not taking care of that, then you're just setting yourself up for frustration and contradictions. As I said in the text, "You'll fall flat on your face." Yours is a perfect description of that.
If you've done your best to pay closer attention, and you still question the premise, then if I were in your shoes, I'd just forget about the whole silly mess and go elsewhere. There's probably something more enjoyable for you elsewhere. This universe has something for everyone.

mossyeyes: Here's a personal story for you:
I was about 70% of the way there without John's materials. I had embraced WHO I was (I came to my conclusion experientially, rather than via any of the very fine logic based approaches employed by John or some of the other users on this subreddit) and things were honestly pretty great. But I was accepting Covert Expansion Demands left and right. I 'needed' to boil down more of who I was, needed to strip more of my u/mossyeyes self away, needed to try this approach and that approach, so forth and so on. These things 'worked', and I actually had a lot of fun doing them sometimes, but it was a lot of effort. I was spending a lot of time on these things.
John's materials discussed two things that had been plaguing me: The Proof Loop and Covert Expansion Demands. It took several rounds of repetition before I really started to understand what they meant. Though I'd finished bludgeoning my own Proof Loop problems to a pulp with another CED or two while I was percolating on it, the realization that I didn't need to accept any CEDs was revolutionary. It makes total sense in hindsight -- like in a 'slap your forehead until it turns red' sense -- but it was a real game changer. I miss 'tinkering' and 'working at it' sometimes... Sometimes I still find myself on a CED, and I don't really mind, 'cause sometimes they're fun. But knowing that I never have to accept one? That the only 'way things are' is the way I want them to be?
Things aren't just great now. They're awesome -- and I don't mean that in a Street Sharks kind-of way, but an Old Testament Biblical kind of way....
And just to second John's comment but maybe from a slightly different angle: You should absolutely question the premise of UL. How else will you understand it if you can't prove it to yourself? Nobody else can prove it to you (see AFGTUL Part 2 - Page 8 or one of the several posts on Proof Loops for some discussion about why this is the case). There are a lot of ways to do this, not just John's logic based proof by contradiction. If what he says doesn't make sense to you, you can try and make sense of it another way. You can even deny all sense and just 'try it out' for a while and see if you like it. Just do everything as if you think it's true and make a game out of it. You might surprise yourself with something fun.
You said you do sometimes still get them. Do you just assure yourself you don't have to listen to them?
I've gotten relatively skilled at just ignoring whatever disagrees with my world view. It always eventually comes around to my perspective, so there's not too much point in paying attention to it. When it's persistent or especially strong, the best thing you can do is to just ignore it. You can cut yourself off a lot of the time with a simple, 'No, I don't need that. I AM already everything I need to be.' Don't get passionate about it, just dismiss the thought or feeling that's in your way. It's not any worse than rain on a windshield. Just turn on your wipers. Ignoring CEDs becomes easier when as you start to understand the structural nature of the universe in which you live, but it's kind of hard to describe in words. It'd be easier to explain kinesthetically, probably.
Having said that, I'm probably spending a lot of time on this subreddit as a direct response to a CED (the person I seem to be has a belief that teaching others helps deepen its own understanding), so I couldn't honestly say I never buy into them. Sometimes they're kind of fun, so... You know.
Unfortunately I don't quite these references, but I'm assuming everything is running smooth as opposed to a crazy fun fever dream? :)
Street Sharks was a terrible mid-90's cartoon that featured juvenile delinquents that became vigilante anthropomorphic sharks. Think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, only with more sharks. Their catch phrase was 'JAWESOME' (you know, 'cause they're sharks).
It's not super relevant, aside from sharks popping up a lot in my sphere right now, so it seemed pertinent at the time. In the Old Testament, every time the word 'awesome' is used, it's meant in the sense of 'Awe Inspiring'. So yeah, Anthropomorphic Sharks < All of Creation.
... Probably. I mean, I don't know if you can make a real concrete value judgement on anthropomorphic sharks.
EDIT Ooh and I realize I'm totally buying into the Proof Loop but you mentioned
It seems to be a pretty common result of growing up in this particular world. You're in good company!
What experiences led you to this logic without the materials of UL? That's an amazing leap!
I don't want to introduce any 'alternate' or 'competing' paths towards the destination or any unnecessary complications. It's not that I don't love sharing my experience (I think it's a pretty rad story), but this is definitely not the place for it.
Suffice it to say... If you understand the Proof Loop, then you know that if you ignore whatever 'the world' has to say and just remain focused on your command, that your new conclusion stance will be taken as fact and your world will prove it back to you.
That's what happened. No logic necessarily required. Simply a decision to acknowledge WHO I was and some commitment in the face of so-called facts. Preemptive buy-in to a materialism destroying/weakening CED and a longstanding philosophical alignment with solipsism may have helped.

John_paolucci: This link below was meant to provide you with answers to the questions you're asking: [http://www.johnpaolucci.com/Q&A.html]
The beginning of Q&A #1 speaks of what led me to develop the material.
The #9 text link to your right on the sidebar of this webpage explains: "This is the fundamental reason why I exist as a single highest being. I am your placement."
Defensiveness is not often easy to determine with the written word. A different tone of voice cold make a completely different message. Consider Mr. Rogers saying what I said to an 8 year old and the message becomes gentle.
The sweet thing is that when both people know they're ONE All-person, no apologies are necessary because they both know Who acted and with the Cosmic Why.
We all have to prejudge to some degree to act with economy. You construed the forum standard. You did the right thing, only sometimes there are unpredictable exceptions.
"Consider Mr. Rogers saying what I said to an 8 year old and the message becomes gentle."; That's still a bit condescending.
Could be. Try, “Jesus speaking to God on a good day.” I see you had to descend into con-cealing your username. Whatever you do, don’t justify anything less than having a good time doing it. :)

...

I've made my response over here [POST: "I don't understand the material, help!"].

Also:

/u/john_paolucci Since you reference Vedic info here and there in the materials, is it appropriate to say Brahman is the same concept as UL?

Stargazer3301: FL: Yes, I am Brahman.

John_paolucci: No. Brahman is the relative ONE all-person: the highest vibration. Father Line is the absolute non-vibration ONE all-person. FL's/ UL's embodiment moving int the worlds is Lord Krishna. The go-between of both is Lord Narayana who is almost non-vibration. Almost because things get harder to pin down when you get into the highest abstractions. Stargazer3301's comment is also true because FL is everything – including Brahman. (hour later) CORRECTION. Now I'm losing track of the names! :) I meant Brahma not Brahman. Yes, Brahman is UL/FL.

...

I'm a bit confused, I'll try to answer sufficiently.

Is it that actually more of a reference to the discussion we've been having in the LOA sub where you said that personal experiences mesh with the UL principle

Particularly, it's the wording here throws me off. Whether someone chooses to take mundane action (applying to jobs and optimizing their resume) or metaphysical action (intention, possible action depending on what school of thought they adhere to), their return is going to be a result of their self-identity.

so an absence of a result for you would mean that there is a CED that has been unaddressed?

Is also a CED. Even "There's a CED I have to take care of or be concerned about" is a CED. If one-thing is a thing, and that one-thing is indivisible, that would mean me going to a place within myself to address a CED is a CED itself, because it is me acting as if I am not.

would need to test it out and explore in order to decide whether an absence of a result is due to CEDs or if that is enough to question the premise and "defect" from UL. Right?

You could say that. That's what's standard in LOA circles; If a return isn't forthcoming, there's an issue with the technique/the universe "knowing the better plan"/misaligned chakras/bad vibrations and so on. With all standard LOA models, there's a lot of faith to be taken. Most confidence in any given model is generated from success stories. Due to the property of all-possibility, their success could validate or invalidate your own performance for any reason. Either way, you can't see vibrations, so you're going to be taking someone's word, or experience for it.

It gets more confusing when there are "success stories" on /r/lawofattraction that is actually the person attempting to "put that vibration out" while, in localized perception, not having actually accomplished it :) I've even heard of people who have been following a certain LOA guru for over a decade with nothing to show for it. It's easy to operate on shaky foundation until some sort of "proof" presents itself, yet there's always a risk because there is no absolute stability in the foundation of the standard LOA models.

With the UL model, you can independantly, without any "special psychic abilities" or anything that would be necessary to verify standard LOA models, look at how everything is one-thing and consider the implications from there. Heck, even physical matter has the common denominator of atoms, subatomic particles, and so on from there. Perhaps jumping to acting on it without a cursory understanding of what the implications are would be risking a potential "fall" for lack of a better word.

Cured my skin condition I had my whole life (r/lawofattraction)

I'm usually not one to make success stories in posts because I don't believe in gauging what is and isn't possible to manifest from looking at what others have done. However, inspiration is always nice to have, especially with beginners or people who are in the midst of trying situations.

Anyways, I cured my skin condition. It was a particularly persistent and aggressive form of what it was. I had it as long as I can remember, no conventional treatment I tried worked. I tried various things over the course of decades, and the best it did was soften up my skin but the condition was still plainly there. It led to me wearing long-sleeve shirts and things like that.

Through intention alone I got rid of it within a couple of weeks. It slowly faded, there was one particularly stubborn spot that wouldn't go, but it went away soon after. I only intended for it a few times. The initial time, about halfway through, and again at the final stretch when there was the nagging spot of skin that didn't heal.

I didn't do a particular method besides expressing the desire and allowing it to happen. The crucial component to this is having the proper knowledge. It isn't about the technique one chooses, it's the WHO that is doing the technique. A technique only works as well as the WHO that is doing it. A phrase I love to use is "knowledge has organizing power". Simply knowing better is enough to attract better situations without effort. The more you know and understand certain things the better your manifestations are and life in general. A good gauge for how much you know about spirituality, LOA, or any related topics in general is to see what experiences you go through in daily life. Due to the nature of reality, you will generally experience what you truly know. Being positive is nice, but if your beliefs about how the universe works involve you being a victim then similar results will continue to happen.

I rarely visualize, I rarely meditate (when I do, it isn't conventional meditation and it's usually never for longer than 5 or 7 minutes). I don't write things down. I don't "feel like I have it", whenever I do experience feelings towards manifestations they are genuine emotions that come with the intention, not ones I have to generate. I just recognize there is nothing blocking me and that it will happen. If that counts as "feel it" then maybe I do "feel it" :)

Most of my manifestations are from intention and knowing only. While various methods and techniques can be helpful, they are not necessary at all.

Hopefully this served as some sort of inspiration to someone.

Tip: Progressively Integrating Consistent Awareness Of Your Ability To Manifest (r/lawofattraction)

Something I've begun to emphasize in my own life recently is posing myself a question to put things back into perspective. It's easy to slip back into conventional thought in the same way it's too easy to say "One more video". On top of dedicated study, it's important to integrate more complete awareness in your daily life. One of which is thinking a question. One I like to think is:

"What am I playing at here?"

Especially for those moments something unchoiceful happens. A simple perspective shift can be very powerful.

What Does It Mean For LOA To Exist? (r/lawofattraction)

I enjoy implications and thinking about them. I think they are especially important for a topic that has such a wide impact as LOA does. LOA says, more or less "you create your reality". There is a lot of implications that come with this. When you define yourself as having to do x, y, and z to manifest, who is speaking? When you define any number of steps are necessary to manifest, who is speaking?

There's a statement we can use here, though. "Even though LOA is real, why would you be able to effect things like that?". Let's consider "Source", for instance. There's a common notion in spiritual communities of this thing called "Source". Many like to say "We are all one because we are all source". Since source never stops being source even when it becomes many individual things, what does that make you?

Many view source and the universe as a "what". This "fabric" that all of existence comes from. When it's looked at as a what, then it doesn't really have any personal implications. If we look at it as a WHO, then things shift. If we look at it as a WHO, and that thing never stops being WHO, then you are the embodiment of that. However, only displaying a limited aspect of that. This has practical application to LOA, as well. What limiting beliefs do you put up with for the virtue of calling yourself limited? What beliefs do you hold that are invalidated when a more expansive self-identity is in place?

Maybe it's time to consider something more expansive.

POST: Possible to go back in time and relive life from that point? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

Discussions such as this is where you'll see who really takes "indivisible, all-pervasive God" serious, as well as those who may see the value in Neville's materials being a technique or a method, and not where all results from any and all procedures sources itself from.

that there are physical laws of the universe

There aren't two "I AM"'s. Therefore, any and all laws source itself from one place. Because that "I AM" is indivisible, that source is ultimately you. Perhaps not "you", but being indivisible, it is yours regardless.

A common response to this is that "I might be God, but I'm not there yet". This response is marked by an unfamiliarity with "indivisible". Indivisible means, in this case, "I AM" never stops being the primordial spark "I AM", even if it takes form of a seemingly bound human.

"If I am, where is my ability to perceive and know all things?". This is answered by looking inside yourself. Your self-identification at the moment tells all. Developing the ability to know more things than your standard senses will provide you is certainly possible. In fact, it's a natural expansion everyone will take, sooner or later. Because there is only one "I AM", the response "I'm not there yet" takes an entirely different connotation when you apply the knowledge that there is only one "I AM" speaking :)

You completely cross a line when you tell people can physically wake up tomorrow and be in the past or be 10 years old again.

This is fair. Making promises about when is erroneous, considering the localized experience of the user that advice is given to, and more importantly, the experience of the user who is giving the advice. Of course, however, nothing is impossible, and knowing this is an automatic implication of accepting that there is an infinite "I AM" and that it is you because it is indivisible. You can't get around it if you've considered it deeply enough. If you haven't, you'll have weak spots in your knowledge, and if the existence of a foundational structure that is indivisible, all-pervasive, infinite and total completeness eludes you, then it will seem completely out there. Wedding yourself to the world of perception will make making sense of this much harder, to the point where you may associate "common sense" as anything that could be above indivisible truth. While common sense is helpful, it should be apparent this sort of material requires stepping outside the bounds of common knowledge. Normally, internet debates quickly turn to semantics and are based on things that may not be independently verifiable. Luckily, an infinite, indivisible and all-pervasive "I AM" isn't something that requires confirmation from anyone else. Careful consideration of how it could be, and who you are to even be contemplating such a question is enough to get it.

Being infinite, and being indivisible, that means you are it, all of it, regardless of what you perceive, what rules you currently (seem to be) bound by, and anything else that happens internally or externally. You're using all the power you'll ever have to continuously prove "I'm not that". That's why it's such a convincing hide and seek game.

because they won’t.

Why not? Because they aren't the indivisible "I AM"? Because that "I AM" isn't completeness? Infinite means infinite, there are no lukewarm notions about it. One of the scariest things in one's journey is truly taking the jump to a new paradigm of knowledge, and not simply lightly agreeing with it (which, truthfully, is par for the course in any manifestation community).

I don’t know what happened to this subreddit where so many people want to argue that everything is possible and completely throw common sense out the window.

It's really not an argument. "I AM" is non-change; the stable foundation to all existence. Anywhere else you could look to for validation of what-you-know or what-is-possible is shaky foundation, even common sense (as most of us know it). If getting a decent foundation in "I AM" was the first thing new students were advised to do, I think all debates here would be much more productive :) It's less "technique this" "this is how manifesting works" moreso looking to the "I AM" intention that makes all of this happen anyways. On the other hand, going from "limited human" to "seemingly-limited human progressively remembering "I AM"" is a massive jump.

On a short note concerning that, it is possible to do nothing to manifest. Everyone chooses to abide by different rules that fulfill their personality in different ways. Some feel that extra responsibility (strenuous sessions and lots of action) fulfill themselves more. Others (guilty! :)) enjoy doing absolutely nothing to manifest.

Now I know from experience that I am Jesus Christ and that there is no other God, no other savior.

If there is no other God, who else would there be to perceive "physical laws of the universe", and who else is there to choose to change them?

This isn't to say it is OK to agree with whatever Neville says because it's Neville, but it's clear that Neville got the implications. Even if he didn't get the implications and didn't give much justice to "I AM", he provided enough information such that the individual can comprehend the weight of the "I AM". Whoever is reading this may wish to observe their self-talk with the understanding that there is only one, indivisible "I AM". Refreshing this perspective throughout the day may be helpful as well. All the questions people have about a specific person, is answered instantly by comprehending "I AM". All the questions about any limits are instantly answered by comprehending "I AM". All the questions "which method is the best?" or "which is the most powerful?" is instantly answered by comprehending "I AM", specifically in the form of the individual asking that, with their conditioning, beliefs, as well as any pre-life arrangements. There are a lot of questions generated when coming into this new concept. Understand that you don't need to answer them. You can if you wish, but it is simply one decision out of many made by the sole commander "I AM".

all you need do is believe you are what you want to be and then let the world (which is nothing more than yourself pushed out) go to work to make your assumption possible.

There is a lot of debate in LoA communities, as well as a bit in Neville communities about whether you need to take action or not. "How will things change if I don't move myself?" Assuming the end-user's form isn't a form from their infinite "I AM" state. Also assuming the external world is alien. This question is immediately answered by understanding what the implications of "I AM" means. Neville states often that the world is you pushed out. This also signals whether or not it is possible. While slightly off-topic, I mention this to show how the foundational structure of "I AM" can be applied to one of the most common questions in these communities. It is an instant answer, and completely clear provided the end-users sufficient comprehension. While I started off addressing your responses to the state of the subreddit (which in my opinion is getting better than ever. The shift of focus from the methods to why methods in the first place is beautiful), I moved past that, providing some information on the implications of "I AM", and a few examples included in that. This is so that regardless of how this discussion turns out, something valuable is produced. While it may not be for you, someone will be happy about what they find in this entire thread.

POST: Redundant LOA stuff to unlearn when getting familiar with Neville. (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

Your house has wires that direct electric currents into your sockets and appliances to make them come alive. The wires are not the house, but they are part of larger system powering all of the houses in the neighborhood together. The wires are separate and part of the greater system, but your house is part of that system, a splinter of that system. Much like how the house is not electricity, you are not god. Your fingernails aren’t god. Your eye lashes aren’t god. Your farts are not got. But the awareness that gives life to your desires, and gives light to the experiences around you, and draws everything out of the spectrum of probability and into your reality in physical form - that is the work of god, and it works through you via awareness. Your body is the vessel god shines through. That is my understanding of Neville’s take.

"Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only one I AM and you are that I AM."

"I AM cannot be divided."

"I AM is the self-definition of the absolute, the foundation on which everything rests. I AM is the first cause-substance. I AM is the self-definition of God."

The house analogy doesn't cover an indivisible, all-pervasive substance because what is all-pervasive is essentially invisible. Because God is indivisible, that means only one thing.

POST: Neville Simplified (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

The Law of Attraction community, and the world at large, is based all around doing something and the depth of results coming from how fervently they do. It's completely backwards in the current climate of the world that you can do the minimal amount, or even do nothing to manifest. Yet, by starting from the base fact of existence and seeing how you are that, it's seen that even doing nothing is possible to manifest.

"It's completely backwards in the current climate of the world that you can do the minimal amount, or even do nothing to manifest."; What do you mean by this?

The way things are now, doing something, sometimes to great extent (the grind) is deemed as the only valid way to get things done. On the contrary, doing nothing (with the right knowledge in place) is entirely possible and the reason for why it is possible is found in carefully considering the information available on "I AM" and the implications of it.

Do you ever get stuck despite knowing this?

Yes

How do you free yourself if/when that happens?

Use the same "I AM" to your advantage. By virtue of being infinite intelligence, all you have to do is acknowledge that and let the mess be cleaned up on it's own. If it's still present and you can't seem to shake it, I prefer to let it be there and still proceed however I am at the time. Being indivisible, you don't have to worry about being blocked from the desires if doubt/fear comes up, the intention of being blocked is what causes the blockage.

How does one retain faith in their influence on reality when skeptics start interfering? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

In The Power of Awareness:

I AM is the self-definition of the absolute, the foundation on which everything rests. I AM is the first cause-substance. I AM is the self-definition of God.
there is only one I AM and you are that I AM.

A first cause-substance means all things are coming from it. You being that means all events, situations, etc are exclusively your very own. From this perspective, see the words of the skeptics. The fundamental truth behind them is that they're your own power and responsibility as the sole first cause-substance (the only cause, really) being manifested as an event of "I'm not that". Knowing this, the situation of your faith, what you've read is possible vs what others say is possible and how you view yourself in the face of the rest of existence all comes together to form an opportunity, a chance, for you to decide whether or not you're satisfied with what your world has shown you. Being the first cause-substance, it's up to you what you decide what is or isn't enough.

When it comes to actually acting on this:

I know that the doubts I perceive could be a reflection of my own faith, since I let them affect me.

Despite what anything in perception/experience could show you, would you say you are always "I AM" no matter what? Then, the conclusion that your faith is lacking, or that doubts are blocking you, is an intention of that indivisible "I AM". Because you always are that, and one of the fundamental attributes of you-as-that is infinite intelligence, your choices in how you handle seeming doubt or lack of faith are expanded.

I thought I could also read something to establish my faith. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

The Power of Awareness, or any other info Neville may have on "I AM" and the fundamental truth of who you are is the most important. Everything else, especially techniques/methods, are secondary. The info on "I AM" is the most overlooked part of his teachings. The stuff he has on "I AM" is enough to reach self-sufficiency in knowledge, including answers your own questions and always having an idea of what to do in any situation of doubt/lack of faith.

All in all, if you're not at the point that outside appearances don't matter to you, I would recommend you don't make things harder for yourself. If you have issues in the face of skeptics, restrict your interaction (including just viewing) with them are much as you are able to at the moment.

POST: If Neville thought he is god then why did he said this (q/a #22) (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

[POST]

Here is what he said: 22. Question: What is your technique of prayer?
Answer: It starts with desire, for desire is the mainspring of action. You must know and define your objective, then condense it into a sensation which implies fulfillment. When your desire is clearly defined, immobilize your physical body and experience, in your imagination, the action which implies its fulfillment. Repeat this act over and over again until it has the vividness and feeling of reality.
Or, condense your desire into a single phrase that implies fulfillment such as, "Thank you Father," "Isn't it
wonderful," or "It is finished." Repeat that condensed phrase, or action in your imagination over and over again. Then either awaken from that state, or slip off into the deep. It does not matter, for the act is done when you completely accept it as being finished in that sleepy, drowsy state.

Why is he saying thanks to the Father and not to himself. I know somebody will say: by saying thank you to him you are also saying thank you to self. But I think we can all agree the feeling of saying thank you to myself is different than saying thank you to the person outside of myself. For example if someone give me something I feel gratitude towards himself and not gratitude towards myself. The same is if I am thanking God for something.

[END OF POST]

The Father and you are the same. If someone gave you something then yes it's someone else BUT it is you pushed out. So even though you thank them... you are ultimately thanking yourself. Neville knew it would be easier for people to symbolically thank someone else like the Father rather than themselves in order to Feel it's done. Because that's what we have learnt for years and it takes a while to re learn that YOU are the Father and YOU are the son.

But by thanking someone else you are giving powet to them...

The world is you pushed out. This includes other people, humans or otherwise.

POST: Has anyone assumed the feeling of being Educated? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

Yes. I like to improve my knowledge on various things, including the most important one of all, realization of "I AM". The medium of study is nice, but I also like to improve comprehension and sometimes go for just knowing the information.

and a little help

As a note, choosing to use a technique/intention vs studying like everyone else is complete utilization of you being "I AM". Whatever success (or lack of, which is success itself) you get, whether it be through metaphysical or purely physical means is a return from what you know about yourself as "I AM". You could even suppose your asking a question as a indicator of your current status in the realization of "I AM". This is nitpicking on my part, but I thought it might be nice to add in as the "I AM" is the foundation to Neville's information. It's more than feasible to accomplish growth of knowledge by intention alone. How these things happens depends on your solidified self-image of who you are in the universe. It can range anywhere from finding the exact book you're looking for, to finding new tools/methods of learning, or even instantly knowing things without any prior prompt. The opposite also applies, when acting on limited perception.

It's kind of hard to assume I'm educated in programming when I actually know I'm not.

The most common way people "assume the feeling" is through the desire itself, linked by an emotion or mental thought. There's nothing wrong with this. However, if you happen to struggle with assuming the feeling for anything, another option you can employ is recognizing what an indivisible, all-pervasive "I AM" means (It is everything, everywhere, always, and everything is it, including you. By the inherit attribute of it being indivisible, that means you are the complete totality of that, including all knowledge, when you encounter anything in your world, it's all really a part of you (not necessarily you-as/u/polyjuice_potion, but you in your totality state), including all unfamiliar things).

You can simply acknowledge your desire, know that it is feasible (through knowing the implications of "I AM"), then rest in that elegant simplicity as you let infinite intelligence take care of everything. This is especially effective for those things that you may have developed resistance to throughout your life(s), whether it be money, relationships, or anything else. Even if you are in the midst of crushing resistance, you can remain still and do nothing to fix it.

Because the first-cause of everything in existence is "I AM", going to the only place it could come from makes sense.

POST: Everything is always adjusting to you (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

Yes. The implication of this is often overlooked in favor of techniques, when really the WHO you identify yourself to be is the backing of any result you get from anything you do to get results, whether that be performing a technique for money, or applying to jobs to eventually earn money. The first chapter of The Power of Awareness is my most favorite thing I've read from Neville.

THE "LIGHT" is consciousness. Consciousness is one, manifesting in legions of forms or levels of consciousness.
There is no one that is not all that is, for consciousness, though expressed in an infinite series of levels, is not divisional. There is no real separation or gap in consciousness. I AM cannot be divided. I may conceive myself to be a rich man, a poor man, a beggar man or a thief, but the center of my being remains the same, regardless of the concept I hold of myself. At the center of manifestation, there is only one I AM manifesting in legions of forms or concepts of itself and "I am that I am".

When you go outside and speak to your neighbor, you may conclude that they are another person. While a relative truth, it isn't the whole truth. The whole truth is that there is no room for duality at the base level of the universe. An all-pervasive, indivisible "I AM" means exactly what it says on the tin. You can format your universe according to how comfortable you are with taking this. You could experience your world as you truly being the only one. You could also choose to heighten your awareness while still keeping the "other-ness" aspect to it.

Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only one I AM and you are that I AM.

This means this is your universe; your private dream. All of it. Everything that has happened, is happening or will happen is all you. Anything outside of you is all you. Anything inside is all you. Even Neville and every teaching from him. This is what "Everyone/thing is you pushed out" alludes to. Looking to perception to try and confirm this will likely result in the observer falling flat on their face, as the feedback their world gives them will be what they've known there whole life: "I'm only an ant in the scheme of things". Changing your world is an inside job first and foremost. We already know this from Neville's teachings. The same goes for attempting to confirm "I AM" in the experience of your world while still holding the "I'm an ant" identity.

Even your past changes and conforms to make it relate-able to your present desire.

I've had this happen a few times. I personally thought it was too confusing for me and stopped it. On a similar note, identifying yourself as that sole commander "I AM" has the implication of aligning yourself with infinite intelligence, instead of the many variations of what could happen during your performance of any technique, or the potentially innumerable variations of "other people" "energy" "chakras" "planetary alignments" "spirits" "dietys" and so on. Remember whose behind all of those things. It's all you! You can keep those aspects of your universe going or you can neutralize them, all to create your own personalized experience.

Techniques are fun, however, I prefer to go straight to the source. It makes for a simple and effortless intention as well. No matter what happens or doesn't happen, you "look to" infinite intelligence to resolve everything. Because you always-already are that "I AM", aligning yourself with that identity takes care of any and all problems. None other than your own consciousness created any problem or solution, so you can tap into infinite intelligence for the solution. No more "is my energy system correct?" No more "But Mars is in retrograde.. Maybe I shouldn't apply for that job" No more "My chakras aren't aligned, something might go wrong." And so on.

However, it also applies the opposite way. If you like those aspects of your universe, you can keep them, you can also intensify or diminish those aspects as much as you like. Really, there's no rules. Rules are in place to eventually guide you to the realization that not only are all rules made by you, but also that they are open to change. In other words, it's a crucial discovery, and I love to see posts mentioning it :)

Does anyone else realise how amazing this is?

It is without a doubt a game-changer.

There's a series of moral and ethical issues that arise the more one integrates their identity in this teaching. I'd say that's one thing to watch out for. A solid comprehension of non-change fact serves as the foundation to keep one grounded through this, however. Of course, this is another rule that I'm presenting, not one that you have to put yourself through. I think this quote from your post summarizes what I've said perfectly:

The entire universe is your personal energy. Yours and yours only.

I've been thinking about the moral and ethical aspects too. Not because I am or feel that I am doing something wrong - on the contrary, I feel I've become infinitely more patient, understanding and gentle since consciously taking the reigns. But I'd be tremendously grateful if you could elaborate on the sentence I've quoted above. Thank you!

Let me know if my answer if sufficient or not.

The realm of perception (including physical senses and more abstract, subtle ones) can show and have you experiencing anything. Anything could be true. (As a note, these scenarios listed are here to demonstrate how solely relying on the field of perception can mislead you from the non-change fact that "I AM" is indivisible and all-pervasive, making you the sole commander)

The information of greater self-realization and manifestation could be led by dark energies, with malevolent intentions. It could be a test from God, in which if you fail would jeopardize any hopes of a positive afterlife. If one desires to manifest money, it could be a "sinful" endeavor. After all, the conventional perception of the Bible lead millions to believe "the good things in life" are sinful, why would it be different for little ol' me, who is simply an ant? Attempting to manifest a SO could be violation of free will, which could have energetic consequences following one for many lives. There could be plans by higher deity's who can see how things connect in the universe in ways you can't. Attempting to modify this, success or not, could have consequences reaching far beyond your perception. So on and so forth.

All of these scenarios you can see others professing, and it's possible to experience these. Regardless of what is experienced, however, non-change fact always remains. Every experience available that could disprove non-change fact in the field of perception is the complete integrity of "I AM", Brahman, One-Thing, Universal Line, or any other term that fits the bill. Knowing this, you can remain poised in acting as what you already-always are, the non-change fact behind every possibility. Even in your identity as /u/thats_so_green, you are that, as it is indivisible. By having a sufficient comprehension of that, whatever situation you are in, you can remain poised and command with ease, as you don't need to do anything to be that, as you can never not be that. Even the experience of not being that is that.

POST: One desire at a time or multiple? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

I used to have the same question and found this answer

"There is currently a myth going around in the LOA circles that it is possible to focus on more than 1 thing at a time to manifest your desired outcome. This couldn’t be further from the truth. It takes single minded focus for the manifestation of a desired reality. If your thoughts are scattered and unfocused, the energy required for the manifestation of your desired reality is also dispersed and hence ineffective. If you want to truly become a Master Manifester and get extreme results, you must focus on that ONE thing long enough to manifest it. There are many Zen sayings about this and now even scientific evidence shows that multi-tasking is difficult and damaging to your brain.

Here are some quotes that support One Pointed Focus:

“If you shoot into a flock of ducks, you will not hit ANY”
“Always remember, your focus determines your reality.”
“Jack of all trades, master of none.”
“If you chase two rabbits, you will catch neither”

So how can we improve our Manifestation ability ?

Tomorrow morning as soon as you wake up, I want you to ask yourself the question: “What is the ONE Thing I can manifest and that by doing it everything else will become easier for me?” Write down what comes, set the alarm on your cell phone for 20 minutes and turn everything off that could take away your focus from your desired manifestation. Focus on this ONE manifestation for 20 minutes straight until the alarm goes off. Continue doing this manifestation diligently every day, until you manifest your outcome. Keep asking yourself the question of the ONE thing once you have manifested the FIRST one thing. It will take some time for you to be able to focus on ONE thing at a time but just like acquiring a new skill, you will soon be unconsciously competent in being able to focus your mind."

When dealing with standard understanding, sure. The understanding that focusing on multiple things dilute concentration and the quality of your output is helpful in some cases, but when we discuss the fundamental thing that all of reality exists because it, it's seen that there's a way to focus on even millions of intentions while only thinking of one thing.

If we keep in mind the indivisible first-cause-substance, which is infinite, you can effortlessly focus on the idea of your multiple intentions and all of them will be taken care of. No extra effort besides the thought-reference to your numerous intentions is necessary. Throwing away your first-cause-substance "I AM" state because lesser laws present themselves and seem convincing is missing the most important fact of who you are. The real myth is that you are someone who can't do something like this. Because you are the first-cause-substance, your idea that multiple intentions dilute your manifestation is an idea you are behind, not a fundamental construct you are forever out of reach of.

If focusing on these numerous efforts isn't effortless, then you have a blind-spot in your understanding of manifestation material. The WHO is the most important thing when it comes to manifesting.

Your idea that it will take longer is what makes it does (among other factors such as what knowledge you act on). You're ultimately not below any laws or rules that seem to be unchangeable. The same infinite intelligence that set in place every law is you.

As far as putting yourself into other shoes, it comes down to what you prefer. For me, I prefer looking at it that every variation all sources from Source/I AM/Brahman/UL. Then the guesswork of anything complicated is immediately taken care of by your natural state of being that infinite intelligence.

POST: How to manifest present moment living? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

For me, the more I comprehend metaphysical information, the more favored I am to looking towards the present. It becomes known the first-cause substance is here, now, as fully as it will ever be. I can want x, y, and z, but objects can change. What doesn't change is the fact of "I AM". When I look to the past or present, I'm usually looking to things that change. "I AM" doesn't change, it's the solid foundation to everything. Furthermore, to add integrity to change-based things, it should be noted that even the things that change is your "I AM" state completely, because it is indivisible. The grand treasure is here and now. The truth is right in your midst, so close to you that you miss it, not knowing it's always here.

However, for as hard as I try I just can't seem to stay present.

If you working with this information to stay aware is hard, there's a blind spot in your information. Ideally, it should all be effortless, because who you truly are in full does everything in effortlessness.

How can I use Neville's teachings to make this work?

I would recommend focusing your attention on the "I AM" parts of his works. Since that is the basis, being more and more familiar with the basis being you will progressively bring you to the present.

POST: what did I do wrong??? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

If nothing else, see it as a gauge of what you truly know - Your reaction and how you act in the heat of the moment.

like i didn't manifest anything

Because you are the first-cause substance, this event now is a manifestation. Included in that is the idea that you are further away. The one who can answer "what happened" accurately is you. Otherwise, the most productive thing is to look at it as a event to gauge what you know.

POST: Limits (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

Nothing but yourself.

POST: limits? (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

It all comes down to what level of truth you entertain; Who you really are. There are no limits. Why? Because the same indivisible thing that makes up everything else is you. Whether or not that proves practical for you depends on how well you know this.

"Thus it is abundantly clear that there is only 1 I AM and you are that I AM."

The only way there could be hard, impassible limits is if you aren't that. Because you are that, any limits are self-imposed, none that can't be overcome by way of being set by some "more powerful" being. Even if that is the case, whatever being is blocking you is you, because it is indivisible.

can you do almost anything or can you actually do anything?

Well, you are everything, whether or not perception confirms it, it doesn't change. You can do actually everything. This, again, depends on your WHO identity.

It's all intent. You can always confirm where you are at concerning self-mastery (how well you know WHO you are, what rules you intended upon your universe ("how the universe works is I need to do x, y, z before I can manifest" for example), and what knowledge you choose to act on) by your results.

From experience (what I found I prefer) and what personally appeals to me, acts of intention should ideally be enjoyable and effortless. Besides simply intending there's nothing else to be done, unless you put a rule in your universe: "I need to take action for my manifestations to work" or "I need to use this method to manifest", "X thing is preventing my manifestation".

Creation is finished. Pure, total, intelligence underlies every structure and possibility, so any "what do I do after I intend" isn't necessary. That's a big point Neville makes that is often glossed over. The implications of pure, indivisible intelligence underlying everything in existence is huge as well as practical.

Whether or not "I intend for x" and it shows up spontaneously happens to be your experience comes down to what limits you entertain, as well as what knowledge you act on.

All you have to do is intend. In this case, the answer is so close to you that you miss it. Every event that happens is a result of your past intention. It's happening now, right in your midst. If simply intending doesn't bring results, you can accommodate your experience through any number of methods available from several manifestation teachers, including the most popular method on this subreddit.

The WHO aspect of manifesting is important. It's crucial to everything you could ever do in your life, especially so with manifestation:

"I AM is that reality to which, whatever happens, we must turn for an explanation of the phenomena of life. It is I AM's concept of itself that determines the form and scenery of its existence."

The trend of methods is favored over this, yet all methods are dependent on the person doing it. It's the most important piece. Your who identity is so important to the point where if you understand yourself as "I AM", Source, Brahman, One All-Person and so on, the "how" takes care of itself, because you sufficiently know that pure intelligence underlies everything and you are that. The answer is available, all you have to do is enjoy being immersed in that awareness and everything else will take care of itself.

When it comes to changing the past, physically changing your appearance or anything else you desire, your conception of the universe and who you are in relation to it matters. A good procedure that assists you with anything you could do in manifestation, as well as life overall, is carefully considering what indivisible, pure intelligence means, and what that means for you. Because your world is a reflection of who you are and what knowledge you act on, your growth in this will change your experience, and change what is possible for you.

It all comes down to one's awareness of who they are. This way of measuring "where you are" is effective because it's easy to tell what you know or don't know based on your results. As the first cause-substance, anything and everything that happens is deeply personal because it is all indivisible. This includes acting on blocks as subconscious blocks, past traumatic blocks rather than results of past intentions (whether deliberately done in your present awareness or not) by your self-identity. A lot of emphasis is placed on the subconscious here, which is fine, yet what isn't emphasized is that the "I AM" is why the subconscious and any associated structures exist.

As a side note, really knowing the fact that everyone boils down to ONE thing, which is all-pervasive and indivisible, and you are that, is entirely relevant to the question of limitations in manifesting. The source of all things being indivisible means nothing is impossible for you, because you are everything, regardless of what perception tells you. To throw in a John Paolucci quote:

==- Question: How do you determine where Universal Line is? Is that something you figure out for yourself? I feel like I know what it does, I just need to figure out where it is.

  • Answer: Universal line is all-pervasive. Only after it bends as wave is there time/space. There is no place to go in order to find it because it’s equally the looker, the finder, and whatever is found, wherever it’s found, all rolled together in one indivisible attribute-less state. It’s THIS IS IT-ness. This is the message I prepped you with at the beginning of Part 1. If you don’t get this solidly, everything else after that is going to fall flat on its face or just be a fanciful story.==

And a Neville quote:

"If you are expeirencing ill health, knowing the truth about cause, you cannot attribute the illness to anything other than to the particular arrangement of the basic cause-substance, an arrangement with [was produced by your reactions to life, and] is defined by your concept "I am unwell."

This can be very sneaky, though. A lowered awareness of self hides the subtle intention of "I am not x, y, z", making it such that we don't see that our own intentions is what is shaping our experience, including the lack of results. One way to get feedback on your current awareness is to close your eyes, have your intention, and see what internal feedback you receive. To condense this practically: The first chapter of The Power of Awareness is criminally understudied. Everything starts with the WHO, methods tag onto that WHO self-image. By understanding that pure intelligence underlies everything in the universe, and it is indivisible, you can intend to have the answers which redefine your WHO and lead to results such as changing past events or getting a new job. Pure intelligence is all-pervasive, so you can simply be as your intention to fix everything.

POST: Neville Goddard vs John Paolucci (/r/NevilleGoddard/)

It's not really vs. You may find they are more alike than you first thought.

I'll try to give my best of ~2 years studying John's materials and ~4+ years (on and off, admittedly) Neville's. I notice there's some tension between some users of /r/NevilleGoddard, who think John's answers may be insufficient or frustrating. John just takes completely seriously that everything you experience (your manifestations, really) all come from Self. If your knowledge of Self is insufficient, results will be insufficient.

I hope to elucidate how Neville and John are more similiar than different, and perhaps this will be helpful to Neville students, because I feel like the "I AM" aspect of Neville's teachings are greatly under emphasized :)

The base of both their teachings is Brahman/UL/FL/"I AM"/God. They both make clear that everything goes back to a first cause-substance, and you are that. John completely makes this the basis of his teachings, Neville has a more beginner friendly start with techniques and his teachings of "You are I AM, and the implications of that will change you forever" aren't as emphasized. The focus of the techniques part of his teachings makes it easy for those new to manifestation or any sort of self-knowledge material as a whole to get into it.

The manifestation community as a whole has been having a technique trend for some time now (See the 55x5 technique becoming popular over at /r/lawofattraction), ignoring what is really behind any result or lack of result (Even no manifestation is a manifestation). The most popular teacher people know of who touches on that first cause-substance and you being it is Neville. John is lesser-known, yet also does this. There is material even older, but at this point easily finding anything of substance is far and few between. If you're interested in seeing info of "I AM" and "One-thing" existed in old, see the Essence of the Ribhu Gita.

It's said that Neville's techniques are about impressing your subconscious

One thing I feel students of Neville would do well to emphasize and point to when explaining his teachings is "I AM". I honestly feel that not taking "I AM", The Promise, and some of Neville's later teachings (which took a big turn from simply just techniques to the basis of all techniques and everything and you being that, which is the same thing John teaches) is missing a big piece (or rather, the only "piece"; the whole) of life itself.

To take "I AM" seriously is to recognize that the subconscious is, really, just an illusion. To be fair, something being an illusion doesn't discard it from being worth to take a look at, but it comes down to what level you are of self-realization and what you really know whether you'll work with the subconscious or not. There's a point where you might want to just go straight to the top, rather than going through any secretaries. After all, you are the One at the top, pretending that you're not.

To take "I AM" seriously is recognizing the possibility of you doing nothing and letting your "I AM" state do everything for you. Why? Because of infinite intelligence. Why is infinite intelligence a thing? Because "I AM", being the foundation of reality, is total completeness with nothing missing. A first cause-substance that isn't complete would not be the first cause-substance. You cannot reference everything back to something that isn't complete properly. Thus, infinite intelligence is a natural attribute of "I AM". The implications for this in manifestation are great and it pays to carefully consider why this is

To take "I AM" seriously is to realize that is it all-pervasive and indivisible, so that you are everything and thus can command it. Neville says "Everyone is you pushed out". John says this.

This is what Neville teaches, although it's overshadowed in favor of techniques. This is also exactly what John teaches. My comment here takes a look at, just a little, some of the implications of you being "I AM" and the responsibility involved.

Neville's has lots of results both small n big... John's not so much...

Firstly, anything can get results at any level. From a Neville perspective, "I Am is the first cause-substance" "I AM is the self-definition of the absolute" so in other words, that means infinite. Infinite means nothing missing, so that every possibility is possible to be realized.

I've spoken to several people who study John's materials, yet tend to be lurkers. People do get results, they tend to be more reserved about it. Perhaps it's a personal integrity thing.

Aside from that, there's no reason John's material would not get results. The only reason why is simple:

"I have to say that if your knowledge of His playpen is lacking, He will do the same partial return. There is no escaping self-knowledge for organizing power when who you are is Self"

If results don't happen on the outside, that means "no results" is going on inside of you. If you've browsed /r/NevilleGoddard for some time, you'll see the quote "You don't manifest what you want, you manifest Who you are". This applies here.

I saw someone on this sub say "(John is) all theory, yet no results". Well, if no results are happening, no results are happening inside of you. John's 'theory' is not new, Brahman and Krishna have been written about and studied for millennia. There is simply no getting around "no self knowledge" on the inside. If you get no results, no matter who you go to, there is only one person you can look to for why that is :)

I've done my best above to compare their teachings and how they are alike. If there is any more debate of "Neville vs John" that I see, I'll link this comment. Debate is fine, but bad-mouthing each other's communities (Not that you are, but I have seen it and spoken to people who do that here) won't get us anywhere. Hopefully this comment elucidates what John is about and some of the similarities between Neville, John, and how John's teaching/theory isn't anything new (See above with what I said about Krishna and Brahman).

Tl;Dr: If you're interested in this topic, read the whole thing. You can also skip around paragraphs if you like.

7Kek7: I’ve read JPs info and actually find it the most useful in practice. I’ve had a large number of results, I just don’t post them. That sub isn’t about “someone else had results with X technique”. It’s about why anyone would ever have results and why you’re always getting results. Calling it cultish or downplaying JP seems a bit like sour grapes especially when considering Neville in the context of more traditional views. I agree the phrasing of things is different for JP and takes some getting used to, but it is well worth the effort to gain the understanding. For reference it was Neville that got me to JP anyway, so I’m well versed in both.

No one is bad mouthing JP

Maybe bad-mouthing is the wrong term. Perhaps it's closer to not understanding the material and the implications of it (The same info of which is found in studying and carefully considering the "I AM" Neville teaches). Yet when I see a "All theory, no results" comment, it's an interesting suggestion, considering you can find the same material in 4000+ year old Vedic material, as well as in Neville's I" AM".

everyone's role-playing

I only have seen 2, maybe 3 people on /r/UniversalLine speak as FL. Given the seriousness of staying true to the final Who, it's not inaccurate. It comes down to where you are in self-identity. People will take the information as far as it fulfills them, and so far only a few from what I see "role-play".

the same ppl with no results

/r/UniversalLine's users lack of results comes from it simply being new, as well as it being a beginner subreddit. If users see no results, there's only one answer as to why. First cause always remains first cause. Any second cause reason is only cloaking itself as First cause, which is: Whatever is going on on the outside is a result of what is going on in the inside. The same people with no results are the same people who don't change on the inside. This will never change, because You being "I AM" will never change.

lack of results is spun to users fault or people with results choosing not to share

"Victim blaming" for lack of a better term isn't quite what's happening. When ALL is Self, and all you have to look to for any result is Self (because Everything is you pushed out), then what use is there to come up wit hany other explanation which misses what's really happening?

If more users on this subreddit took seriously "I AM" and the implications of it, you'd see the same exact answers here; It all comes down to unfamiliarity with Self-as the first cause-substance. Anything else is not completely accurate because everything else comes from this first cause-substance in the first place.

This quote is appropriate here:

There is no escaping self-knowledge for organizing power when who you are is Self. That makes this reddit predominantly about who you are as Self. If that's not your priority, you'll not find much comfort here.

or people with results choosing not to share

This is always a personal decision. I personally stopped (or slowed down, rather) sharing my results because I feel Neville's info on "I AM" and John's info on UL/FL is clear enough to show that anything happening on the outside is a result of Self.

I don't see that happening at Neville community

I agree on the 'role-playing' bit, but there are a few regulars here who you see, as the months pass by, they come back here with no results. It happens in any community.

You already are "I AM". You're expressing "I AM" 100% now, because it is indivisible and you are that. All you have to do is acknowledge that.

So you think of I AM [insert wht you want] is it like that?

You don't need any affirmations, although you can use them if you want. It's simply being aware that the first cause-substance is indivisible and all-pervasive, meaning you are that. There's some popularity here to the "I AM" meditation where you sit and contemplate/acknowledge you being "I AM" and wait for a certain state of consciousness to happen. It could be fun, but it's absolutely not necessary. Here you are now as "I AM", no fancy states of consciousness are necessary to trigger it. For using that state to manifest, you have many different approaches. I recommend acknowledging that you are that "I AM", and then, knowing the attribute of infinite intelligence, let your "I AM" state take care of it. That's all you need to do. No fancy methods or techniques. You already are that, you just acknowledge it and act on it.

Whatever happens or doesn't happen will let you know where you are when it comes to self-knowledge as that final Who. Because "I AM" is indivisible, your voice, thoughts, movements, are all an expression of that. It brings about a bigger level of responsibility. If you speak lack, the first cause-substance, "I AM" is right there, speaking lack.

Whuch vedanta books or hindu books do you recommend on the topic? Thanks!

The Essence of the Ribhu Gita is what I found sufficient for me, so I haven't looked far beyond that. I haven't looked into the full Ribhu Gita translation.

Why is God pretending? What's the point?

I feel like we've had a discussion about this or something similar :)

There's no overarching point to anything besides self-expression. More specifically, expression of Who you are. This is the reason why students of manifestation tend to manifest Who they are, not what they want. Due to the attribute of all-possibility, however, that's not a solid rule. Being the indivisible first cause-substance of all things, having no beginning or end (first cause-substance is the cause of time and space, not the other way around), and being everything as a result, reducing perception to being a seemingly isolated being, while still retaining being that complete "I AM", and expanding back to that is a grand expression of Who.

That's my opinion thus far of what I've arrived at.

So, shouldn't we be expressing our true divine nature, rather than this fake human thing?

Indivisible means you already are. A second authorship would suggest a "I need to get out of this" situation, yet everything is the same thing. That doesn't mean this experience is something anyone would want to stay in, though.

This is the most popular theory. Maybe it's true, but I just can't buy into it.

The real head spinner is that anything could be true. The question that has puzzled me when it comes to this is, at the "top", knowing everything, doing everything, being everything, where would you go to experience something different?

If I am already God, what do I need the "becoming God" experience for?

You don't need anything. There's nowhere/nothing to "get to" for this experience to be necessary.

And, to make matters worse, if the God-self finds this "expanding back" experience so enjoyable, doesn't it mean that the human-self is doomed to endlessly repeat the Game?

Good question, I don't have anything I'd say is a sufficient answer.

No need to ask neville... I'll tell you why.. neville was practical enough to know that results gives confidence to people rather den blindly believing him

If you or anyone else is at the point where success stories serve as validation of someone's teachings, you'll do well to stick with them. If you aren't in a place to verify information on your own then other material may not be for you yet. John's material isn't about blindly believing, that's why the first 7-8 pages of both AFG and ADL deal with why everything is one thing, with the implication that you are that. The point is that you gain complete conviction in yourself as the arbiter of experience, and not anyone else.

In fact, the teaching of how you are one-thing is completely antithetical to producing blind followers, as it directly teaches you that you are the One behind the curtain running it all. The power is given directly to the student to realize that they are the master pretending to be the student. Neville gets to the same point with "I AM", although that isn't given enough weight here. I've heard "The quicker you forget about me (I.e, realize Who you are), the better" from John enough times to get the hint that he may not want blind followers.

Some final detail on proof: From Neville's words, "I AM" is indivisible, so it is you. First cause-substance always remains first cause-substance, such that any result in your outer world originally came from you. If you sufficiently comprehend this that means any mistake in intention for manifestation only comes from one place, and there is only one place to go to for dealing with this. John gave that answer in the sub and it upset a few people, yet "I AM", the fundamental basis of reality, gives the same answer, and even LOA will say "If you think lack, you get lack back". You can always tell who is where when it comes to self-knowledge by how they handle these situations.

So really, to look at this whole discussion from the perspective of Neville's teachings, you created this situation, including Neville sharing success stories, John not, and you deciding for yourself who you'd rather listen to. So good job on increasing your personal integrity :) The best option here is to take more seriously Who you are, begin acting on that knowledge, and you'll do just fine.

do you, at this point, ever doubt the UL or One-thing system or even the manifesting-as-real view of the world?

Yes, but not manifesting-as-real.

I mean, has any lack of a result or other experience since going through the year of grappling with existential questions, made you doubt what you concluded to be true?

Yes. At this point though, the outside being an effect of the inside (the cause) is sufficient feedback for me. It's been a consistent enough basis for self-work that I'm comfortable with it. Like I said previously, if it were not to be true, it's consistent and 'solid' enough that I'd opt for that for the sake of my personal integrity.

Essentially, has a result (or lack there-of) or an experience made you pause after settling on the UL system/manifestation view of the universe?

Yes. What happens not long after experiencing these moments is I discover a new piece of information (often times internally, a sudden realization or thought) that clears everything up. It brings my baseline of knowing higher.

POST: There is no "law of attraction" (/r/lawofattraction/)

Instead of concluding that you just didn't have "enough faith", or it just wasn't "meant for you", or you "didn't want it enough", perhaps you should start considering that the things you believe in may not be the absolut truth.

Well, I always tell people, there is no "meant for you" because the universe is you. If results don't happen in line with your intention, then it's the total responsibility of the user, not them as a victim to "the universe". It's important to consider that there is no difference between using LOA to manifest a job and, say, just plain sending a job application. They are both using your intentions of "how the world works".

If the concepts and techniques you are fed were true, you would already be successful.

Not necessarily. Everyone knows they should eat healthy and exercise. How many actually do it? How many really know what they're doing when they eat healthy and exercise? How many are at a level with those things where they change their life with them and how many just go to the gym to hit machines that teach them impractical movements and only focuses one muscle? Just as there are levels to any skill, there is the same to manifesting. Along with that, the LOA as a concept has a lot of..... Limitations, such as "like attracts like" I have manifested things while being negative, and while in complete doubt.

I am a firm believer in the metaphysical aswell

And the physical only exists due to the metaphysical

You see, people like Rhonda Byrne have no incentive to help you, they just want to make money like you, and they have no moral problems with telling you potentially destructive lies.

I agree that the vast majority of LOA teachers and "gurus" are only out to make money and most of them have no clue what they're really talking about. If the entire basis of their teachings is "raise your vibrations" and "the universe" talk, then they probably aren't a good choice. If they can't, won't or doesn't know how to get you to the point of becoming your own teacher for life, then they aren't a good teacher.

I only recommend Neville Goddard and John Paolucci :) Neville can't profit from it, and everything John has is free.

POST: What to manifest... (/r/lawofattraction/)

Manifesting animals that you rarely see is nice. I would rarely see owls. Then at the peak I would see up to 10 a day without trying to look for them. You can try specific things.

any trial and errors

I think the most important trial and error is finding the system that works for you, because all of them do work, although your results from dabbling in systems aren't as big as sticking to one and really building yourself inside of it.

POST: [deleted by user] (/r/lawofattraction/)

The meaning you give to bad dreams and your reaction towards them does that.

I find it a little exhausting to try to control them.

I recommend placing less seriousness on any thoughts that "just come up", including dreams, and using effortless techniques to accommodate that stance.

Last night I had a bad dream about something I’m trying to manifest and now I’m worried it’s in the universe and that’s what’s going to happen.

The idea promotes a belief that you are a victim where things just happen to you and you are out of control in it. Acting on that belief will promote that experience. The way out of that hide and seek game is to know it is your reaction (which is an intention) to any event that really matters.

I feel like we’re all human right?

For long term progression (years/decades) in LOA and self-msatery, I recommend eventually ditching the common yet comforting thought that "we're all human so I'm automatically subject to x, y, and z experiences". The idea that because you are x, you'll experience y is using LOA to prove that it's true.

Can’t think happy thoughts all the time. Am I still able to manifest my desires with the errant bad thought?

Yes. It's your intention on what bad thoughts mean that matters. How you act on them being present is the important part, not them existing in the first place.

POST: How does this really work? What are the exact steps to achieve your desires/dreams? (/r/lawofattraction/)

A massive misconception is that LOA is something external that has to be figured out to work. Really, LOA is 365/24/7. It's always working. It's an internal art, so the only thing to figure out is yourself. All methods are just different ways of formatting intention. When it comes down to it, the current definition for what LOA is that I'm running with is two statements:

  • Knowledge has organizing power
  • Everyone acts on what they know

Simply knowing better is enough to make things change. If no results happen, no knowledge is what's going on inside of you.

Personally I haven’t really tried as I am quite skeptical.

That's particularly interesting. There's really nothing to lose here, besides time. If you do it, regardless of what happens or doesn't happen, you'll grow from it. Even if you come to the conclusion "this is just made up" that's still you growing in personality. To answer the specific questions:

Do you write it down daily? Once?

It's truly up to you. There's many arguments for why any number is valid, from once ever to 1-3 times daily.

How long did it take for the results to happen?

It all depends on what you truly know, not just what you've lightly agreed upon. Anywhere from decades to seconds.

Can you really manifest anything?

I think existence as a whole is more expansive than most (including most in LOA communities) like to think.

Does this include body changes, relationship stuff, etc?

Yes. I cured my skin condition through this, actually. In private practice, I don't like to refer reality-manipulation as LOA, because that term carries a lot of preconceptions.

Can you manifest someone’s personality (trying to change them)?

Yes. Existence isn't linear to the point where there exists only one variation of each person. The common reply in LOA that it's manipulation of free will. I tend to disagree, that view enforces a linear perspective in an otherwise boundary-removing concept.

Can you manifest someone to quit habits (a cheater, lying, etc)?

Yes.

Supposed is that two people are against each other in a sport and we both know that they are going to win the match. Who would win would neither or would it end in a tie?

In practice, both results would be your own. I think that way because I see reality as having infinite variations, and everyone is the captain of their own experience of those infinite variations. It's flexible as it allows me to do things that some users on here says shouldn't be possible, as there is less limitations involved. Aside from that, you can look at it in the manner that whoever has a higher degree of self-mastery would win. Then, it's skill-based, whoever can "lift more weight" will win, just as in weightlifting. The more skilled individual in self-mastery (which includes LOA) would have their outcome realized. Every view on LOA is true, some just happen to be more complete truths. Each one has it's pros and cons. All variations exist to prove or disprove any question, so it's really up to the belief-system of how it works that you pick. You can test this by existing completely in one paradigm of thoughts on "How LOA works" for 6 months-1 year at a time and see results shift based on how you change your mind.

How would this Paradox be explained?

Whatever happens or doesn't happen originates from you. All variations exist; The rock that is so heavy that God can't lift it, as well as the variation where God can lift the rock. Whichever happens is one variation among innumerable others.

It's almost as if anything is possible with LOA.

:)

Although a decade is a bit too much if a wish is a small one.

True. It all comes down to the WHO that is manifesting, not any outside factor.

Can you also manifest having a talent or to change something you were born with?

Yes. Both are possible, although talent isn't focused on much in manifesting communities, it is available.

Ah. I see. But how is the who that is manifesting? I understand but what if they don’t really know what they’re doing? What if they’re doing the steps and wait but nothing is working?

It is still the who, because the who is the reason for why anything is or isn't happening. Even if they don't know what they're doing, the experience of that is something they are behind. If someone is doing any "steps" involved with manifesting and nothing happens, the lack of a result is still a result, showing them what knowledge they're really acting on, being the state that replicates the same old same old happenings. Manifesting is a wide open modular art. Because manifesting is 365/24/7, the same goes for life. If nothing is working, they are (even if they don't consciously know, just as the instances where those who go their whole life living a certain way don't realize that's how they've been living their life up until then) hanging onto boundaries or the idea of "I need to do x things before I can manifest" or "x things block me".

Can you also manifest more than one thing at a time?

Yes.

Can you manifest someone into being your soul mate?

Yes.

POST: [deleted by user] (/r/lawofattraction/)

Is there any work to be done? Or is it all visualization?

This depends on who you ask. There is no wrong answer, just different ones depending on who you are. I prefer to keep most things to a minimum of effort.

Obviously I’m not gonna get that dream car if I just lay around me not work for it?

Why not? Whether or not anything happens in your life, whether through mundane efforts or through LOA, your results always show what you truly know, same goes for obtaining things with no effort, especially in a worldly climate where we're told work is the only way to achieve things.

Or is this really a something for nothing deal?

Why can't it be? Who says? Is any seeming-law really permanent or is it something that can be bent?

It’s just weird for me to see this something for nothing attitude.

It's generally not welcomed with open arms in LOA communities, either. A lot of people carry over that mindset, even among some who have been doing it for many years. I'm somewhat vehement about experiencing that manifesting exists, and I'm ambitious about pushing it to it's (if any) limits, which is where my mindset on it mostly comes from.

Do you have any examples of how it’s worked for you in the past.

A notable recent one is eliminating my skin condition. I do money from time to time. Upgrading my knowledge and awareness, to make it easier for me to learn new things and retain information. Jobs. About 2 years ago, I had an intention to recieve pizza, which had me getting free pizza once, twice, or even 3 times a week for over a year. Fun at first, but not good for the weight (although I eventually changed my view on how that works as well), which I manifested away too. Physical strength, which is an ongoing process, but I'm making gains in strength without really doing much. My biggest enemy so far is laziness. It keeps coming back. Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm particularly passionate about this stuff.

Don’t worry about rambling, I love it. What is this nature of reality you talked about in your post about the skin condition? How do I achieve such knowledge? Bc I really want my desire. Like it burns inside of me. And it’s not unhealthy, I feel. Like I don’t want it for the wrong reasons. I just want it. Badly. So any way to further my power into having it will greatly help

This is where I get out there. A lot of what I tend to say is considered outlandish, even to seasoned LOA practitioners. I do think a lot of the information is incredibly useful, however.

I'm not into the common idea of "giving thanks to the universe" and such things. I see the universe as me. More greater, the source of all things (most popularly referred to as Brahman), including the universe, is indivisible, and all-pervasive. That means I own all of it. One implication is that all rules of LOA are effacable by me. No method is necessary.

The nature of reality is like this gif [https://imgur.com/i-wanna-say-around-michigan-EcF4yLI]. Generally, new agers have the idea of "we are all one". I used to detest it for years, but I see it makes sense. I think the real power is in the phrase "One is All. All is One", however. Indivisible means I am that source. This image is relevant as well.

Alt Tag

A powerful statement to wrap this up is: "One total thing never stops being One total thing, even when it becomes individual variations". The information isn't new, but there isn't a lot of people who get into it. Neville touches on it. The Ribhu Gita gets into it more, but the language is ancient and the general flavor that was encouraged in schools of thought at the time (devout practice, other highly demanding sacrifices), and misses the implications of One-Thing. Basically, it's very helpful for my personal integrity, and studying and carefully considering the information for the past 2 years has changed how I see everything. I thought it as downright delusional for the first several months, but results eventually became undeniable.

So far, the only person I've found who gets into it, is up to date, explains the implications, why someone would want to operate on that knowledge, detailed instructions and has a viewer/reader Q&A that is over 100 pages at the moment is John Paolucci. All of his stuff is free, including email coaching, so there's nothing for me to sell. I just link it because it's changed my life, although the first time around I neglected it and didn't treat it very seriously.

The material is abstract and complicated, so pacing helps a lot. Standard LOA literature uses a lot of flashy words such as "vibrations" "feeling" and "universe" where a leap of faith is required to get into it. In my opinion, John's materials is different, due to the information being mechanical (Why everything has a common denominator, why everything is one thing, I am one thing), it's easily self-verifiable, and doesn't require any abstract skills, such as what LOA literature tends to imply you need to verify it.

For instance if I want a car a job might present itself w the sufficient salary to obtain said car. You feel me.

This is certainly valid.

It’s still certain that I get the car, the SP, whatever etc. it’s just through ways that aren’t short of miracles.

Absolutely, that's the standard way-things-happen. May I say, something for nothing or the living of a life where you can receive things with little to no work often comes from individuals who spent years actively refining themselves. In that sense, it's not nothing. Otherwise everyone would be instantly materializing whatever they wanted.

Anyways many thanks to you for furthering my knowledge on this field and allowing me to add more power into my arsenal.

Sure. Everyone walks away having learned something, even if the conclusion isn't necessarily agreement, growth is inevitable.

POST: Changing other people’s lives? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Has anyone tried this?

I've changed several lives doing this.

And how did you go about it?

I always say the method doesn't matter, it's the WHO that does the method. If the WHO is sufficient, anything can be done and called a method. I could go out to eat as a method, for example. You can too.

Can you also do them harm if you think negatively?

Why not? LOA teachers try to keep a nice veil of new agey gentleness, but truth is the fact that you can attack someone physically means you can attack them mentally through manifestation.

Will my thinking that way of them affect them?

Do you think it will? Aside from that, whatever happens or doesn't happen will always confirm what you truly know as far as your knowledge.

I mean if it works positively it could theoretically also work negatively?

Yes. You can walk up to them and hit them, so why would it not be possible to do it through LOA without touching them?

That isn't to encourage negative behavior, but because it's a tip-toed subject in LOA. Truth is often omitted in favor of sounding nice.

I didn’t mean to deliberately cause harm to someone I meant inadvertently by always seeing them as someone who bad things happen to.

You know, that's something I caught myself in on multiple occasions throughout my life. It's easy to get caught up in "this person is x and it's annoying" but things such as LOA give us the opportunity to see that, just maybe, the way we experience them begins internally.

But I suppose whether I believe I am contributing to that or not, what I believe proves to be true?

Yes. Everyone proves they cant effect their world daily. They always say "that's how life works" and use their reality-bending ability to give themselves a reality that can't bend, or if it can, it requires a ton of effort/work/learning/doing.

POST: How much have affirmations helped you? (/r/lawofattraction/)

I don't like the standard style of manifestation, because it feels like I'm lying to myself. I'm particularly ego-focused so I prefer things that exalt my personal integrity.

I’m really wondering if they will push my manifesting to the next level.

Give it a shot. If it isn't for you, you'll only learn more about yourself.

What do you mean by things that exalt your personal integrity?

I'm not one for the "give thanks to the universe/source" or anything like that. I don't prefer subservience or anything that indicates an air of something over me. I recognize that because the universe/source is one indivisible thing that I am that, so my thoughts and statements are personalized, and not anything that focuses on outside of me, because the indivisible and all-pervasive properties of source means I am that. All of it.

POST: How to use LOA when you want multiple things? (/r/lawofattraction/)

In overt mental space, we find it takes a lot of effort to focus on many things. But through awareness and usage of understanding of abstract mechanics (such as LOA), it can be known that there is a way to focus on hundreds or even thousands of different desires as one without any problem. See the end of page 50 to the middle of page 51 of this Q&A document.

POST: Is it possible to make somebody like me using law of attraction? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Yes. The common response you'll get is that you can't mess with free will. I disagree. Why would reality be so closed-off and linear that there exists only one variation of reality and only one variation of each person in that reality? Seeing people flip on a dime based on my intention let me know it's really not about the romanticized good-feely model of "There's other people and their souls are sacred". There's infinite variations to exist. That includes a variation where you encounter the variations you would like.

And if yes, then how?

It all starts with knowledge and intention. Knowledge has organizing power, and everyone acts on what they know. Change what you know, and things change. This is more important than me saying "do x method" because your knowledge determines how you manifest and if you do at all.

POST: What if 2 people want to manifest the same thing? (/r/lawofattraction/)

I tend to think reality is too big for there to only be one variation of reality, one variation of every person, and only one variation of every outcome. For all intents and purposes, and for my own practical utility, I (and everyone else) owns their own private dream.

The understanding I took from the research was, only my thoughts matter, because I can create whatever I want, nobody else can influence that.

Some would say that, yes. It depends on how you view the universe/existence in general. Why would existence as a whole be so small?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me, this says that essentially, I am the only person in the universe.

You could always look at it like, there are infinite universes (although I prefer a term more like infinite variations of reality, because uni-verse is one thing), which is a common idea, and then say you own your own private dream. It always struck odd to me that people would have all these great promises about LOA and spirituality, but then enforce a constricted view by implying that there is only one potential variation of existence.

Is this accurate?

I think it is, after studying, experimenting and then experiencing that information for almost 2 years.

POST: Will intrusive images manifest? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Your reaction to the thought and the meaning you assign it. A negative thought doesn't have to be negative, for example. It's possible to change the meaning of it.

...

That's assuming the image would manifest as itself, and not be converted to something else. Operating off the model that you have to figure out how to manifest positively puts you onto a potentially long journey of "figuring things out". Thanks to the expansive and modular nature of reality, you don't have to accurately conclude how it could be positive or not, just intend for it to be. By saying "this is a good thing" while still looking at it with fear, will make it manifest, and negatively at that. The neutralization factor is knowledge that puts oneself over any seeming-negative events.

Some people tend to have problems with intrusive images, for instance. It's not having the intrusive images that's the problem, it's acting on the knowledge that they are a potential threat. At it's base, it comes from having a small self-image, like viewing oneself as an ant in the scheme of things.

For negative thoughts and feelings to be an issue, one would have to forget that the uni-verse is indivisible and all-pervasive, so they are that. It's also forgetting that because even the source of the universe is indivisible, all-pervasive and is the source of all variations (the universe being a variation), that everyone is that. Since everyone acts on what they know, and their life is the sum of what they truly know, the way they view so-called limiting or negative thoughts and the way they react to them, and how they manifest gradually advances as the user grows in self-mastery.

A comment chain I have on intrusive thoughts/images relating to LOA can be found here [POST: How OCD person can attract thing ?].

Q: [missing]

I used to (still do to a very minor degree) have intrusive thoughts day in and day out, as the comments I linked here say [POST: How OCD person can attract thing ?]. It's not the intrusive thoughts, it's the meaning given to them and how you act on them.

Getting rid of the thoughts could be a very long journey, just like how people say you need to meditate and be very good at it to manifest properly, which can take months or years. It's not necessary however. Prioritizing foundational information is more important, as the link covers a small bit of, and links to a free book that is very good at that. Therefore, the images will leave as your self-image and knowledge grows. Fighting them could make things worse, and will eventually make your manifestation sessions sour.

Knowledge has organizing power, and that statement applies to all areas of life, including the abstract mental ones, such as thoughts. The book I recommend, part 1 can be found here [Universal Line]. It's not a light read, one, two, three or even 4 readings of it isn't enough to scratch the surface. It is one of the greatest manifestation (while dealing with life as a whole) books I've ever read. Included in increasing your knowledge leads to dealing with your intrusive thoughts, and shows you how to deal with them effortlessly.

I have no problems with self love or other things.

There is a blind spot you aren't aware of. Your self-love may be fine (by the way, when I say self-image, I don't mean self-love or how you view yourself as /u/DogeFan93, I mean your understanding of non-change fact that you identify with), but you may still be harboring beliefs of victim-hood or a belief of life that leads it to be "unpredictable" or "hostile", hence the thoughts.

Then i want these images never appear in my mind.

Whenever you make an intention, whether it be in daily life or when dealing with manifesting, you can always know how much you truly know based on the results of your intention. Additionally, if you meditate on your intention and see what you're looking to to fulfill that intention, you'll gain a better understanding of where you're looking to for results.

I just want my intrusive images NOT manifest with my actual intention.

And part 2 of the book I linked details a method for effortlessly handling things such as intrusive thoughts and images. Since results in anything you do in life depend on your depth of knowledge of who you are (from a non-change fact perspective), your long-term priority shouldn't be to look to methods to fix anything, but to look to who you are using the methods. The WHO (your self-identity in respect to non-change aspects) is always more important than the WHAT (all methods and all intentions).

Because i think universe will get them as my intention too, if they they appear during visualisation.

And the only separation between you and the universe is perception. You don't perceive that you are the universe, but through examining mechanical information it can be seen you are that. Since you are that and hold the organizing power of the universe (it's indivisible, so you fully are that, you're always using 100% of the organizing power, but you're using it against yourself to show that you don't have that power), you hold the final authorship on what anything you do or you come in contact to actually means. And again, the results from perceiving and acting on that information always lets you know how much you truly know.

LOA is all about not taking things at face value, this should be extended to your perception of intrusive thoughts for you to empower yourself over them. The moment you see yourself as a victim to them (it being above you), then you're fighting a losing battle. Effortlessness is a good gauge of how much you truly know, as well. If manifesting and dealing with intrusive thoughts isn't effortless or close, then it's a good indication you could know more. This makes LOA and self-mastery very simple (although not easy, but the right information can make the amount of effort you need to put in very minimal) because you only have one-thing to look to for your results, the answer to your problems, you gaining more knowledge and so on. Also, about the links I've been putting in my past comments, I do recommend reading them and carefully considering them, particularly the book. There is only so much information that can be put into a Reddit comment. The book, for instance, I've been reading that author's works for the past 2 years. I still learn new things everyday from reading his books.

There is a lot in those books, enough to keep you busy for a long time, and enough to become your own teacher and guru in LOA and self-mastery. While I personally still ask questions a couple times a month, I answer more than 96% of my own questions. If an LOA teacher/guru can't, won't, or doesn't know how to make you your own teacher, then they aren't the best choice.

When you act on lesser knowledge, you can expect lesser results. When you act on fears, you can expect that. When you act on the knowledge that you are a recipient (victim) of variation (anything the universe throws at you), then you will experience that.

The experience of the user in that post is probably true, which is fine, but it should be noted that everyone experiences life differently. Almost everyone experiences that life is a endless struggle, but does that mean that's how life is? No. It simply means that's how those particular people experience it.

Knowledge has organizing power. The knowledge of you, who is below fear and has to be afraid of it organizes circumstances that prove that to you. Same thing happened to the user in the post you linked. Would you like to continue to experience yourself as someone who has to be on the lookout and constantly in fear of their own thoughts, or would you like to advance your comprehension of who you are to a point where it overrides absolutely any internal struggle you could face, to the point where you can effortlessly deal with all of it?

As long as you depend on perception to dictate what is or isn't possible, you'll be missing the biggest fact of who you are. No ill will meant towards you, but generally when people send me links of other's peoples experiences to "prove" their point, it's clear those people are still at a stage where they rely on perception and other's experiences to dictate how they should act. Their information and how they act is based off constantly changing things, and not non-change fact. I'll leave you with a final question that I recommend pondering on for a week, minimum. Then, if you want, you can look at the book I have recommended, which deals with the topic matter that this final question is directed towards, and the practicality of that information can be applied to anything.

The question:

What is better: Looking to change-based fact for how you act (and thus never having a truly stable view with how to operate in life, including intrusive thoughts) or looking to the only thing that doesn't change in existence (which you are), and letting that be the solution to absolutely any problem you could have (because every problem, answer, and anything else comes from that, what better thing is there to look to for an answer)?

To wrap this conversation up, a final anecdote that is relevant to the original question:

As I grow in self-mastery, I'm starting to be able to stop all thoughts instantly, and sit in quietness. I haven't meditated in months, and I've never consistently enjoyed meditation. This simply came along from just growing in self-mastery, nothing I specifically targeted to work on for more than an hour. A benefit along with that is that my amount of negative thoughts have decreased drastically, and when they do come up, they tend to not stay for long, because greater knowledge overrides them. I don't say this as a ego boost or "holier than thou", I say this because you seem to be at a point where you look to anecdotes as indication for you to act on information in line with what someone says. Truth is you can do everything any success story on /r/lawofattraction says and you have the potential to do things 100x greater than all of that.

...

You seem familiar, I think I've spoken to you before. Maybe on an alt account?

Abe's 17 seconds technique is right.

Every technique is right. I don't see your point. The problem with most users is that their self-image is insufficient, so their results don't fall in line with that.

I wouldn't recommend Abraham Hicks as someone to watch/look to for more than 3 months max. All teachings (I've seen) from her are based on change-based-fact. You'll never have a truly solid base to work with. You'll be limited by whether you can "vibrate high" or not. Not the fact that you are above all vibrations and you secretly own all of them. Not the fact that your knowledge of that allows you to function in any vibration, even the most nasty ones, and reverse them in your favor, effortlessly.

You'll be limited by whether or not you can "feel as if". Me, I generally don't experience heightened emotions. Only with a few things. Emotion is almost never a factor in my manifestations. I didn't "feel as if" I didn't have a skin condition I lived my whole life with. I just operated on the principle that I am the source of all variations. I didn't "feel as if" I stopped having negative thoughts. I just looked to non-change fact and aligning with that instantly changes my outlook on things. You'll be limited by any number of things that come from looking to change-based-fact.

LOA gives anything you think for 17 seconds and feel as if you have it already

This isn't true. It's what you act on that matters. "LOA gives anything you think for 17 seconds" doesn't apply to skeptics. Most skeptics never get results with LOA :) Actually, they do. Their results is no results. Feel-as-if as a primary metric for whether a manifestation works or not is poor because it's not about what you feel or believe, it's the knowledge you act on. If you have a manifestation philosophy that you need to believe or feel as if to manifest, that's a limitation you've placed on yourself. It adds effort. As I said, effortlessness is a good indication for how integrated you are in non-change information. If it (or anything in life) is hard, your knowledge is insufficient. That could go on forever, so why not gain knowledge on the thing that creates all things, then look to that instead? See how simple things can be when you act on non-change fact? :)

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to manifest things that you don't believe you can do, but act on the knowledge that you are the source, so that you can "reach through" your doubts and fears and manifest it anyways? :)

Disclaimer: I am not denouncing any method or school of thought. I'm merely saying, in my opinion, there are better ways with which to look at things. All ways go up the mountain, as the rules say :)

This person had no intention.

Yes they did.

The only thing he did was 68 seconds of pure thought.

That's the intention.

When you choose to feel as if, that's an intention. When you choose to visualize, that's an intention. When you choose to sit and do nothing, that's an intention. When you go to a thoughtless space, that's an intention. More relevant to the post, their intention was their reaction to the information of their friend having the car accident. A reaction is an intention because it's a decision. At any moment during the reaction, you can catch yourself perpetuating that suffering by actively participating in it. The active participation is an intention. People do this with fear and negativity because most are addicted to that. Just because the user in the post doesn't detail their reaction in text doesn't mean they didn't have one. Even if their reaction wasn't an overt fear, the conclusion stance of "that was so terrible that it happened to my friend" faint-sense that they possibly experienced was also a reaction. Not to accuse you, but if you are who I think you are, I did discuss faint-sense-conclusion-stance in PM's before.

Now that I re-read the post, I see this:

Now mind you, it didn't escape my thoughts that this was rather odd, since my friend has his accident......I had an odd feeling when he was telling me the story and less than 5 hours later......mine was a repeat of his.

This is the intention :) "I had an odd feeling when he was telling me the story". That's the faint-sense-conclusion-stance that I mentioned earlier. It's a faint-sense they carried around with them. The faint-sense being present is a result of past intentions in their life, whether it be weeks, months, years, or even decades ago. The faint-sense is built from beliefs and the intentions one has about how life works.

This is how LOA works.

If you say so... Literally!

If you act on the knowledge that they will, that is usually what will happen. I say usually because variance in results often come from the faith mechanism of looking to the universe for positive results or positivity just happens, as positive expansion is built into life. Whatever results you do get or don't get let you know what, if anything, you need to change about your approach.

When I get intrusive images, I take a neutral stance towards them. Proof loops work based on your reaction. A neutral reaction neutralizes that proof loop. Since you're not looking to negativity for your intention, it, ideally, shouldn't be a concern whether it's there or not. You just continue to concern yourself with your intention. As you grow in realization of principles that support perfect integrity and positivity, negativity won't have as much of a place, and it will gradually leave. The negativity is there to accommodate a certain view of how life works. When that view is changed, the negativity has no reason to exist in you.

Short-term, this will resolve you when dealing with any potential boundaries. Long-term, your reaction to negative events in general will change, the way you view them and how you act on them will alter. They won't affect you, because your knowledge of greater truths override lesser truths. It's a good attribute for dealing with life in general, not just manifesting.

POST: How OCD person can attract thing ? (/r/lawofattraction/)

It isn't the thought itself that's the problem. I have intrusive thoughts every now and then, rarely to the point where it's so gripping that I can't seem to get away from it. At the peak, I would have them day in and day out, sometimes to the point of physical pain. They're actually a great opportunity to exercise your ability, understanding of "how things work" and exalt your own personal integrity in manifesting. LOA information is very useful here because fundamental aspects of existence are the authorship of less fundamental aspects. Just as "take aspirin" is an appropriate action towards pain, another is to cultivate realization in metaphysical attributes to the point where you're able to stop the pain through thought alone. Disclaimer: I don't recommend that as a course of action to replace conventional methods until you're at that point :) Just as there are many levels to handling conventional situations, there are many levels to handling those same situations through metaphysical means.

The common response to having obsessive thoughts is to meditate and so on. It's not a bad suggestion. For me, though, I didn't enjoy it. In the right awareness, I can enjoy meditation, but standard meditation personally isn't my thing. There's more ways to accommodate experience. When a thought comes up, how you react (based on your understanding of how life works) is what matters, not the thought itself. Same goes for physical circumstances. It isn't "money's low" that determines what you can or can't do, it's the intent you place on your perception of the event "money's low". With enough conviction in universally-consistent principles (one being LOA), you won't feel bothered by intrusive or obsessive thoughts. Simply realizing this (not just lightly agreeing on it) does a lot for mental clarity, speaking from experience.

You can also go for manifesting clarity of mind if you like, that's something I'm doing. Meditation isn't the only way to accomplish mental clarity. I personally don't recommend fighting thoughts. Short-term you may get it away, but long-term you'll look to yoga, meditation and manifesting sessions with disdain "I know I'm doing to have intrusive/obsessive thoughts". What I do is accommodate thoughts. If we assume every thought and intention is taken into account for manifestation "sucked up by a vacuum nozzle" because LOA is a 24/7/365 real-time aspect of existence, there's 1 conclusion I enjoy.

Since it's the intent placed on the thought, you can effectively reverse engineer any thought or present circumstance, because the final authorship is what you intend for it to mean.

With the ideal understanding of this, you can turn intrusive/obsessive thoughts on their back, and break proof loops1

During any session, when a obsessive thought comes up, particularly one about the desire, what you can do is view it as a return of your understanding of how life works ("it so happens that I experience intrusive thoughts, and these intrusive thoughts restrict my ability"), and see if this new perspective gives you more working space, or if it automatically does anything. You let the thought ride by your side because it's not where your return comes from. In the link above, I explain a bit of how you can "reverse engineer" intrusive thoughts in your favor. When you're out and about in daily life, if any thought comes up relating to a manifestation and you're not sure if it messed with it or not, you can see it's your mental "spinning" of the situation that is "causing problems", and not the intrusive thought itself.

Because knowledge has organizing power (Knowledge A: "Life is a struggle" Knowledge B: "Life itself works in my favor"), a perspective shift alone may help. See if it does.

1 A proof loop is a "loop" of circumstances that prove "this is how life/the universe works" based on what you understand about life. For example, think of those people who always seem to never get anything right and "Bad things always happens to me". Their intention "Life is such that bad things happen to me" further generates experiences that prove "Life is this way".

On the other hand, people with "good luck" experience the opposite, and proof loop circumstances of good luck and providence.

In context to the thread, without proper knowledge, your view as you who is someone that is powerless in the face of obsessive thoughts is a proof loop. Seeing that you can change the meaning of those obsessive thoughts through neutral realization in universally-consistent-principles can reverse that proof loop.

So i can create my new brief system that even though I have obsessive thought, I always attract good thing into my life?

Yes. For example, if you supposed "my obsessive thoughts lead to good things/me refining my own personal characteristics how I like" that intention would change what those obsessive thoughts mean. If results don't happen in line with the intention, it's a result of what you truly understand, a blind spot in results is a blind spot in understanding or realization.

Even my obsessive thought it self is not positive?

The intent placed on the thought is the final authorship, not the thought itself. Words are a carrier of intent, words may carry certain meanings within them but the final authorship is always the end-user's conclusion. Regardless of any seeming-circumstances, fundamentally, no condition, thought, doubt, fear, or any impulse of experience need limit your manifesting ability. Acting on the idea that limiting thoughts are, and more importantly, a lack of understanding and realization in universally-consistent-principles is what makes makes it seems like they are, and that more fundamental aspects of existence can't "reach through" the doubts, that eliminating them are somehow necessary before manifesting. Dealing with them eventually is gonna happen, but imo figuring it out first is out of order.

I change my brief system that even though I am like this, I still attract good thing.

Results in your world (including internal) will show whether or not you truly know and are integrated in your new belief system. Generally, for me, as I attain higher levels of realization in non-change principles, my results and the way they happen change. A good introduction to non-change, universally-consistent principles is Advanced Financial Gain Through Universal Line, which you can find pt 1 of here. It's important to understand the WHO before the why. WHO has to do with absolutely everything, which is why I think it's the most important component of LOA and self-mastery in general.

What I try to do is using oponopono for this thought and I also find good thing about my self. But often this though take over,

Command Active Inclusion in AFG can help you approach this. Also my link earlier about reverse engineering. They're both pretty much the same.

Still Little taking time for me to fully understand since English is not fat first language. So simply everytime I realized my thought is taking over, what I need to do..?

For example, someone who is experiencing low money may say "this means I can't pay my bills or buy the thing I've always wanted" and then their experience unfolds in that way because they enforced their intention to mean limitation for them. Rather than recognizing them and LOA as the bigger WHO, they gave money that power. They can, instead of putting limitation on themselves due to having less money, they could say "this is only a good sign for me" and let the negative feelings be there.

What you act on matters more than what's going on.

When I experience doubts, fears and so on, I let them stay there. There's a common perception that you need to get rid of resistance to manifest. I don't think it's necessary. I think getting out of your own way and letting everything be as it is, including doubts. If I'm on the highway getting somewhere, I don't worry about the loud trucks or any number of distractions that could happen, because my destination has nothing to do with them. You can also incorporate the obsessive thoughts to work for you, which the "reverse engineering" comment I linked to somewhere earlier can be used for.

So it’s like I don’t have to give negative meaning everytime I feel them.

Yes.

I can just accept the fact that I’m having it, I don’t have to force to change it to positive thought or feeling.

Yes.

Cuz those thought has nothing to do with what I attract.

Yes. They only have power when you give them power. Here's an illustration from John Paolucci.

It uses some complicated and specialized language and terms so if it's too difficult just disregard it, this is just to elucidate why negative thoughts don't have to limit you.

Lets say you were to intend financial gain. You have a reaction, a reason why gaining money for you isn't possible. That's the bank robber. If you were to buy into those reactions, the intention of "I can't manifest money after all" would go to be processed, which would manifest as thoughts or circumstance that show you "I can't manifest money" because you conditioned your intention with doubts and fears. Instead, you remain indifferent to it, knowing that your neutral stance takes the power of the thoughts away. The neutral stance invalidates them.

A related quote:

"Just don't go there (buying into the doubts, fears, and so on). Then they have no power over you. That breaks the proof-loop."

When you "don't go there" you'll want to make sure it's not with a avoidance or neglecting intent, but with a neutral perspective of knowing that you don't need to entertain it nor depend on it as a serious factor of your manifestation. Ignoring with a negative intention on the other hand is no good.

POST: What do you do when you notice yourself producing negative vibes? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Reverse engineer them. Convert them to something else. It's effortless, and at a high enough skill level with it, it's instant, and the implications of it are very great. It doesn't require any special knowledge or capabilities, either. All you need is awareness and intent. Then, instead of being a victim, you are making seemingly restrictive events work for you.

Thank you! I think it'll take a while for me to be able to do that though, I don't want to "fake" the happiness because then I'd only really be making the negativity stronger. But thank you for your response, I'll keep that in mind :)

I don't mean fabricating emotions in response to the un-choiceful situation. Maybe the word "convert" gave off the wrong impression. Apologies. In my opinion, overriding with emotion is one of the worst, long-term, procedures to do. I tend to oppose the "feel it" methods vehemently. Instead of emotions, words, visualization, or anything else, I mean the aspect which all those methods rely on at the root, which would be awareness and intent. Proceeding with knowing to transform the negative impulse into something else.

No emotion is involved, only the knowing that is is converted, and that's it. Here's a image that may help illustrate it.

Alt Tag

You only have to be aware of the unchoiceful event and give it the "OK" for it to be used as material to manifest x, y, and z. No thoughts, visualization, or fabricating emotions is involved, only awareness and intent itself.

Let me know if this is more clear.

Could you please explain whats going on in the pic? I can't really tell. Thanks.

The magnifying glass symbolizes whatever is going on in your daily life. It's you being aware of whatever is going on in your world, then giving it the "thumbs up" to manifest whatever you choose. The vacuum symbolizes that you are "inputting" material for future circumstances 24/7.

Could you clarify how to go about doing so?

Observance of any spontaneous thought, emotion, visualization or "vague sense" is enough. Just observe it and "decide/conclude" (it's sort of hard to explain this part in words. Liken it to how you "decide" to pick up something and without any real effort the object is picked up near-automatically) that the purpose of those spontaneous events are now x. You can also just decide that the mere observance itself is all you need, and take out the conclusion part that comes after a bit of observing.

On a fundamental level, this works because everything is everything, equally. From a physical perspective, a blanket is as a table as they are anything else physical, despite the blanket not having the same properties as a table. Both composed of atoms and sub-atomic particles, just different configurations and interactions. Almost everyone is very well-versed in the "transform x event into y meaning", they just often don't utilize it too effectively. Money is low for Joe, for example, and he concludes "this means I can't buy that thing I wanted". And so future circumstances further show his conclusion back to him. Instead of choosing to manifest the thing itself or the money required, he takes "real life" events as declaration of what he can and can't do.

To give another example, someone sits to meditate, and tries out a technique they aren't accustomed to. They get an intrusive thought. Instead of fighting it or shooing it, they integrate it. They observe it, and "decide" that that thought is "fuel" for their increased self-mastery (anything can be substituted). If the thought sticks around, they do nothing but observe, knowing that the process is automatic. To put it in words I've heard somewhere but can't recall where from:

Do nothing to accomplish everything.

POST: Free will? (/r/lawofattraction/)

I think it doesn't matter, because entertaining it as real has a observable change in my experience. When I act as if I'm boss of everything, results follow (albeit to a much lesser degree than it could be) that assumption as well. From changing people's outlooks on life to having them move out of the country, assuming there is no will outside of me has been clearly relevant to some things.

will the universe's magic mojo change my perception towards them?

It wouldn't be inaccurate to say any power the universe has is the same exact things you possess, since the universe is indivisible and all-pervasive. It's not truly "out there". It's right here, now, within you.

POST: I need some advice about things I want to manifest (/r/lawofattraction/)

What are some good ways to stay focused to ensure they come into my life.

Me, personally, I tend to "let go of the wheel" so to speak and let things happen so that I obtain things. I don't particularly like the flavor of manifesting (or life in general) where hyper-focus is required to achieve. That's just what I do, it's not any more valid than anything else. At least, at the moment. I change gears often.

Right now I have a magical creation box with pictures in it, but I kind of want to make a vision board. I feel seeing the board everyday with the pictures would be a constant reminder.

Do what you feel will work for you. LOA is a very wide art, not a strict practice.

POST: Stuttering and your own thoughts... (/r/lawofattraction/)

simply visualizing that we speak fluently and believing in it for real... will it make it possible to recover from stuttering... in a miraculous way?

Yes. Of course, since LOA is such a personal and close-to-you activity, anything that happens or doesn't happen lets you know what you truly know, and not what you've just lightly agreed upon.

I imagine that the fact of blocking when speaking, produces negative thoughts and a real fear of speaking. And that fear what it does is attract more of the same that you are afraid. I'm wrong?

That sounds about right. The idea that you are someone who has to deal with those things in the first place has a way of perpetuating and introducing new negative traits.

So, it is what is always said: is the mind our only enemy?

It's like what some boxers say, there's only one real enemy and it's yourself. Although I wouldn't say enemy, it adds seriousness that doesn't need to be there.

However there are studies that claim that stuttering has to do with our brain and many other things...

Depending on how serious you take LOA and how much you consider the implications of it's mere existence, you'll realize that anything physical is a result of mental action. The physical world isn't a plane of existence without a bigger cause to it, it only exists beause of mental observance and influence. That includes any studies that seem to indicate something. They are merely things that change, and thus not reliable. Anything physical is open to change, no matter what it is. That includes seemingly concrete studies and workings of the world. From the perspective of LOA, any seeming boundary for how or why stuttering exists is irrelevant, because it's a reflection of a first-mental cause.

What is your opinion? Will there be any way to attract fluency in speech?

Yes. It's not something that particularly stretches the idea of what is possible through realization of principles like LOA.

POST: Is it possible to manifest something without taking any action? (/r/lawofattraction/)

The idea that you need to take action to manifest comes from an idea that even though LOA exists, the world is still something physical that the LOA doesn't completely permeate. I.e, there is some other forces at work that you have to figure out/master. However, LOA (which is one description of the interface you have to mold your reality) is all-pervasive. It permeates throughout everything, including all solid seemingly unchangeable things in this world.

Thus, it is 100% to not take action at all to manifest. It all comes down to what you know and what knowledge you act on. If you act on limited knowledge, your results will be limited. If you move to more complete knowledge, your results will progressively open up. There is a lot of potential details to this subject because of the many different perceptions one can hold that has an affect on their experience.

POST: Want to visualise and hold on to my desire but also want to let go? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Visualizing doesn't have to mean holding on. Your intention for continuing to visualize is what matters.

every time I would try to manifest

I'm getting the slight inflection that you have the idea that you need to do a method to manifest, or that for some reason you see yourself as insufficient such that you need to do a method. Is that so?

I would stress about not getting results, then I would crash and burn and realise how ugly I am.

If dealing with doubts, fears, and so on is difficult and not effortless or at least easy, you may want to go back to the drawing board as far as acquiring information on manifesting.

I want to try letting go because that way I wont crash and burn

The absence of doing something may not have that effect on you, it differs for everyone.

I also want to hold onto my desire, because visualising feels so good and pretending I'm beautiful feels amazing.

Partaking in methods isn't the absence of letting go.

What method could I use that could in cooperate both of these aspects into it?

If there isn't one available, then make your own.

Soo basically you can visualise and also let go?

Yes. If you keep doing methods based on an intention of lack "I have to keep doing it for x, y, z reason", that matters more than actually repeating the method. It's all about the intention, that goes for life in general.

POST: Do intrusive thoughts and images manifest? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Acting on the idea that they can manifest and you should be on guard is more dangerous than any thoughts that could pop up.

or do you think the universe knows that I’m not purposely doing it?

The universe acts on your reaction, not the original event.

POST: So does it really work? If so, how? (/r/lawofattraction/)

So how does one put it into practice?

Step one is realizing it's never turned off. Only your perspective on it changes such that experiences happen that make it look like the lights turned on. Most will give you answers for or against specific methods, but all methods are just there to assist. Not method is truly necessary. How it works can vary a vast range as such.

POST: LoA is confusing me (/r/lawofattraction/)

Now I am confused I don't know what works and what doesn't about LoA...

Everything can work. The idea that you need to do a certain method is just one idea about how it works. All methods are really just there for people to use if they find that they can't just intend and something happens. Methods are true, but they aren't the complete truth.

Believing unconditionally isn't necessary either, and I would say that it's a potential red herring because the idea that you have to feel, in a very vibrant manner that you believe something is a potential boundary/limitation. I personally don't think "good vibrations" is a major component of LOA, I think it comes down more to your beliefs/what you truly know about how life works. The idea that you need to be vibrating high to manifest something is an idea. A true idea, but not a complete truth idea. Just like if you ask the average person what life is and they tell you "It's an endless struggle". It's true, but it's certainly not the only truth out, nor is it a complete truth.

POST: Can the law of attraction be used to obtain knowledge? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Yes. Because the source of all existence is pure intelligence, and with it being pure integrity and total completeness, that means all answers are available. That includes answers for developing groundbreaking technology.

POST: How does this really work? What are the exact steps to achieve your desires/dreams? (/r/lawofattraction/)

POST: I created a SO list with over 90 qualities. Is that too much? (/r/lawofattraction/)

“is the reason why I can’t find anyone because it’s like I’m looking for someone perfect?”

Why would this mean you can't manifest that? It would mean there isn't sufficient supply in existence to provide that. Let it be a notice to expand your understanding on why anything is possible. Even 1000 qualities is valid. It comes down to the WHO that is manifesting whether things happen or not.

I need help then! Like, I KNOW that someone out there is like that but it’s the belief that I’ll get someone like that that’s the issue. Help?

Instead of operating on the idea that you need to establish a belief in every little thing for it to work, I recommend building a solid foundational that you can use to go "This is true because x is absolutely true". Such as when people pray to God, or when people in LOA look to the universe to answer their questions. The flavor I recommend, which is self-verifiable if one carefully considers it, is John's metaphors and analogies. It provides a solid, one-size-fits-all foundation for any desire you could have. Instead of looking to what, you look to WHO, and WHO answers every question, including the "I don't know how to get someone like that".

POST: Do stereotypes become true because of loa? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Reality accommodates your beliefs about how things work, yes.

So if I believe the sky is green...it’ll start to turn green? If I believe all clouds are squares...clouds will start to turn square?

Whatever happens or doesn't happen confirms what you truly know, not what you've lightly agreed upon or imagined you 100% know. Aside from that, assuming that level of self-mastery, yes, those things would happen.

Huh....so right now my truly known belief is that clouds are not square Well if I somehow could change that belief which is probably super deep down, to the square clouds, would other people see square clouds too or just me?

Other people would see. There's also the variation where it's only you. Both outcomes are up to you.

POST: Is LoA all placebo? If you don’t believe it, does it still work? Or do you have to believe? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Do you have to believe that like attracts like, we can attract external things with our mind magically somehow

No. However, for most, the experience that their mind's workings lead to their external circumstances are hidden to them. Not because they haven't looked, but because their external building of how the world works is a belief that they aren't the cause. So they experience that they are not, and they get all the living proof they could want that they are not.

is LoA really a law like physics that can be tested?

In the common explanations of LOA where it's very airy-fairy "vibrations and feelings", not really. In some explanations, such as this, where it's something you can mechanically track, yes.

Or is it just a kind of vague theory?

It's been established as a thing for thousands of years, showing up in numerous different flavors, such as the many seen in /r/occult , /r/DimensionalJumping, /r/Oneirosophy, and so on.

POST: Are my visualizations supposed to be believable (/r/lawofattraction/)

If you'd like to function off the subconscious-model, you can make them believable. I personally didn't like the subconscious model, it was too limiting to me. Your more in control of how you experience reality and LOA than you think. That includes to the point where the subconscious model is just one variation of how LOA works, and isn't a end all be all.

I've also heard the point of visulizing is just for the feeling and it's not necessary.

Absolutely no method is necessary. All methods should ideally build one's conviction to the point where their internal workings replace the need for a method. Methods just accommodate the lack of solid internal integrity.

POST: What are your tips for getting over limiting beliefs? (/r/lawofattraction/)

I go for a low-effort, low-resistance cycle. I feel I work hard enough studying and learning about this stuff, so I prefer my actual practice to be as effortless as possible, I'm aiming to the point where I don't have to exert any effort at all for anything manifesting related. For me, a combination of a neutral stance (through knowledge) towards those thoughts and reading information that expands my understanding of existence helps a lot.

Manifesting is deviating from the status quo so its temporary

The status quo itself is a manifestation :) It exists because manifestation exists.

POST: If you think and want something bad enough you’ll eventually get it, correct? (/r/lawofattraction/)

If you think and want something bad enough you’ll eventually get it, correct?

Not necessarily. Take into consideration what knowledge you act on. People spend months/years trying to be flawlessly happy to "match frequencies" with their desire, but still never get it. Why? They still, unknowingly or knowingly, act on knowledge that somehow limits them. Take for example the idea that "bad things happen to good people" "good people are always behind" and such. Another limiting idea is the idea of free will, or the idea that there is only one variation of people, while there is the idea usually held by people in communities like this that "the universe is infinite", they don't extend that to people as well.

If the law of attraction is true

If you aren't familiar with abstract metaphysical concepts, it may seem strange, but it's important to keep in mind that manifesting is a very wide open field. Every teacher says something different and people disagree all the time, but you can find people from any school of thought (r/lawofattraction, r/NevilleGoddard, r/occult, r/DimensionalJumping and so on) who have had success. There's no one answer, because all of them can work. It's not any external law that goes "you shall pass", it's the individual, even if through the idea of an external law or being.

POST: John paolucci (/r/lawofattraction/)

As said in our pm's, what the very source of all existence is (beyond vibrations, gratitude, meditation, feeling, having to put yourself below any aspect of the universe and so on), why you are that, why this is true, why perception can't be relied on to confirm what is really true, and how to use that very source of all existence for your benefit.

POST: I feel like the LOA is a punishing game (/r/lawofattraction/)

The most important thing is to make manifesting work for you. If you aren't one of those "high vibe be happy 24/7" people, then don't do it. I don't. Emotion is rarely a factor in my practice, and to focus on it like it is if you aren't that type of person is just a limiting factor. One thing not well known or spoken of much is that you can use frustration and negative emotions in your favor.

How do you escape this vicious circle?

Just opt out. The idea that you need to "match vibrational frequencies" by trying to stay happy is one view of how manifesting works. It's true, but it's also not true. You don't need to follow that idea to manifest at all. It all comes down to the individual whether something works or not. The idea that you don't have to fight rampant thoughts and impulses is completely contradictory to what the majority of the world says, but that option is completely available. You can simply remain neutral to them. If someone is worried that them freaking out about having negative thoughts will make them manifest, then a neutral stance, well, neutralizes them. If anything manifests at all, the inception point is always the individual, and that's always where to start with diagnosis. One of the long-term objectives with LOA, rarely emphasized, is that you gradually gain unshakable personal integrity, a fully justified confidence in depending on yourself for anything, and the composure to actually act on that. It's a lifelong journey, but there are major implications.

How do you allow yourself to feel bad when you need to without actually delaying your desire?

By not buying into the idea that feeling bad delays your desire. By really diving deep into every aspect of how you think manifesting works and throwing away what isn't effective. There are a lot of things we do and knowledge we act on that we don't even know that we don't know. If you recognize and act on the knowledge that you can remain however you are to complete your manifestation, then you can do that.

It has to do with belief to an extent. Because everyone acts on what they know, whether they are aware of what they truly know or not, acting on any knowledge would be making that your operating structure in reaction to any event. To keep with the idea that negative events don't have to mean negativity, if you experience a negative event and freak out, feel anxious or otherwise, that's acting on the knowledge of you being a powerless recipient to those events. Another reaction would be to remain neutral to the event, and use whatever command procedure (method/technique) you like to reverse it. It's not black or white either, you can experience anxiety while still having the conviction to act on more expansive knowledge and vice versa.

"Act on" also extends to what things manifest and how they manifest in your life. Your identity of who you are is also knowledge you act on by believing it, whether it be you being a ant to the rest of the world or you being the center of the world. Both experiences are available, and a simple benchmark for what you know, not just lightly agree upon, is to see what and how things happen in your life.

"By not buying into the idea that feeling bad delays your desire."; That makes sense but it's also strange because everywhere I read it says that feeling bad will definitely delay the stuff.

Which is a responsible reaction, especially given the prestige a lot of teachers seem to have on here. Understanding why everything is one thing and thus why anything can be transformed to mean anything will be really useful here. Most LOA teachers do well to explain "hey, this stuff is possible and here's how". Yet most neglect (in my opinion, at least) what is more important, the individual and preparing them long-term to being their own teacher, one way being explaining how every thing in existence has a common denominator, and the final common denominator is eternal, indivisible (so you are *that * same thing that all of existence is, because there is no separation) and all-pervasive, so that every thing that is is essentially the same thing. To be biased for a second, in my opinion, if any teacher can't, won't or doesn't know how to lead you to self-sufficiency, they aren't the optimal choice.

One implication of that final common denominator is that you can take even the worst-feeling emotions and use them for your benefit, because everything is the same in the first place. This becomes confusing when relying on perception, however, as perception tends to be illusory. Acting on them as being different things and one having a negative effect is what causes things to behave that way. As for mid-term (years) to long-term (decades and beyond), I recommend prioritizing information that targets fundamentals. Everything is built on top of one-thing (also known as Universal Line, Source, Brahman, first-cause-substance and so on), so understanding that well is big, something that is almost never mentioned or given importance to on this subreddit.

Unfortunately, the pool of resources for this information is scarce. Vedic information is the most well known source, yet isn't the most useful, you'll find yourself wading through vague words and schools of thought that insinuate needing to be subservient to a teacher or a diety. The closest mainstream LOA teacher to speak on that thing is Neville, but even he doesn't go into it a whole lot besides a couple chapters here and there. I recommend John Paolucci for that. The mechanical nature of the information makes it independently verifiable, and the implications are life-changing. John's objective is for you to become your own master, and all the materials, including consulting, are free.

That could have been shorter, apologies. Hopefully it helped in some way, though.

POST: Hi everyone, I’m reading about law of attraction recently and how it relates to meditation. But I’m wondering whether I should practice gratitude meditation or just pure meditation? Which one is more effective? Thanks a lot!! (/r/lawofattraction/)

The most effective is always what works for you. Your own personal experience with something could be more valuable to you than what millions say. Me, I don't do gratitude as a deliberate thing at all, same for meditation. If gratitude is an important piece to your practice, then you should do it. Same for standard meditation.

POST: How do vision boards work? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Behind the scenes, the intention that vision boards somehow (through any explanation available) do something that causes them to work is what matters. It's the intention, not the vision board itself. In this way, you could go bowling as your LOA practice, for instance.

Though how do you use it when implementing loa?

The idea of LOA is that our intention somehow effects reality. You just use that same intention with your vision board. In the end, the most important piece is your own awareness.

Does anyone have success with vision boards?

Anyone can have success with any method.

POST: What made you believe in LOA? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Close examination of my life made it clear that it's essentially a matrix where my identity-sense is realized. The experiences help, but I put more importance on my knowing of non-change mechanics.

POST: 2 cup method??? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Depends on what you think would work better. Although multiple intentions are generally shunned in the LOA community, it's important to know that the base reality is total completeness (nothing missing) and pure intelligence. The relevant implication here is that doing even a million intentions at once, ideally, shouldn't be problematic, because the bottleneck isn't your human ability to try to focus on millions of things at once, but your knowing that the indivisible pure intelligence behind all of existence is you (and everything in existence), and how well you truly know this scales your manifestations, as well as providing more flexibility with how you manifest.

You don't have to write down each individual goal, unless you'd like a good reason to raise your water intake :)

As far as writing everything down, it's important to note that your intention and your identity-sense behind that writing down is what's important. The writing is an extension of your intention, the same goes for any method. In this way, all methods are just different ways of utilizing your intention and identity-sense. I can be long-winded, so what I'm trying to say is, the main constant that remains through any method and school of thought is your identity-sense, who you view yourself relative to the rest of existence.

POST: Can the law of attraction be used to obtain knowledge? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Yes. Because the source of all existence is pure intelligence, and with it being pure integrity and total completeness, that means all answers are available. That includes answers for developing groundbreaking technology.

POST: Is it possible to use the LOA too much? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Not really, because everything going on is a manifestation, whether done on purpose (deliberate action) or not (automatic feedback based on who you are).

That being said, your conditioned knowledge on how LOA works and what is required to do it resulted in this situation. If you feel like a break is in order, that's fine too, I recently did. Break or not, manifestation never stops because it's 24/7/365.

Edit: While manifestation is 24/7/365 and the backbone of this reality, specific practices to deliberately manifest could get stale. If all the different methods you're doing don't scratch an itch or you get the "sense" that doing the methods is how you'll manifest and you become dependent on it, I recommend switching up what you do.

POST: How something works (/r/lawofattraction/)

My question is does this seem like my efforts with loa might be working or is it just that she wanted to watch soccer?

Regardless of how you interpret it, future circumstances will pan out based on your WHO identity and what you know about life. Because how you interpret things have a big part in how thing play out, you should make your own decision on it. Aside from that, whatever happens or doesn't happens always lets you know where you are at in mastery of yourself, which includes manifestation.

POST: Can the law of attraction be used to change your sexuality? (/r/lawofattraction/)

It is possible. More importantly, though, whether something is possible to manifest or not all depends on you. The WHO identity of the individual is the most important component to manifestation.

POST: New to LoA (/r/lawofattraction/)

First things first: Because manifestation as a whole deals with abstract subject matter, where once you get deep enough every possibility is valid, including every manifestation school of thought and technique, you won't find a conclusive "this person's thoughts on LOA are the truth and their techniques are the only ones that work". Also, due to manifestation being the backbone of this reality (whereas most tend to only experience very "light" levels of it due to conditioning about how life works), any case of evidence and proof you find is manifested, not something that is pre-existing. Even evidence/proof against LOA is manifested.

Most LOA teachers do a lot of abstract talk of "vibrations" and "feeling" and "the universe", which will probably turn you off, which it did the same for me. I recommend John Paolucci, the mechanical nature of his texts make it something you don't have to take for someone's words "if you can't "see" vibrations", it's independently verifiable. Why two or more things have something in common How that "something in common" traces back to you Why you can manifest.

Essentially, it's about finding what school of thought you like, because none of them are the one truth, everyone has gotten results from everything.

POST: How do we know if the law of attraction is real, or that life is predetermined and we are just getting 'glimpses of the future'? (/r/lawofattraction/)

I'm not "getting" glimpses of the future, I'm deciding them. If that's predetermined, then my false free will is manufactured in such a way where it makes no personal difference. Aside from that, the same thing that makes all of existence is me because it's indivisible, so there is nothing higher than me to "predetermine" my life.

POST: Do you think subliminals work? (/r/lawofattraction/)

Anything could work. You could go bowling to "reprogram your subconscious" if you really wanted to. All techniques and methods are just different ways of utilizing intention. The most important thing is not the technique, but the person using the technique. The person behind it determines everything.

POST: I tried but it didn’t work (/r/lawofattraction/)

Any results from LOA are all from you. Techniques and methods are alternative ways of utilizing your view of who you are in the relation to the rest of existence. Any "not working" is feedback from one's internal knowledge of what they truly know (not just lightly agreed upon). The upside is diagnosing is easy, then.

Although a controversial stance, it's worth considering that free will ("he didn't want you") is irrelevant here. There isn't one variation of each person. There's an innumerable amount, and reality is more than expansive enough to accommodate everyone's experience. There isn't one variation of the world to experience.

POST: How do i start?(/r/lawofattraction/)

A shift in mindset is important, because knowledge has organizing power. What you truly know (and what you enforce as true) is how your life will pan out. Seeing that manifestation is 24/7 is a good first step. You already are doing it. You've, in effect, started before you knew what manifesting was.

Is it all faith?

It doesn't have to be. It can be as practical as tightening a screw instead of "wishing" the screw to be tightened.

What exactly do i do?

Something that isn't well known is that it's all about the meaning you place on what happens. You could go bowling as your method to manifest. In that way, it's all about your awareness and intention, not some "special" method.

Any suggestions? Like books, documentaries or something?

I prefer John Paolucci. His stuff is free, and he has an email you can contact him through. He isn't like most other teachers of LOA. He wants you to become self-sufficient, to become your own teacher and master. The material, however, is often considered confusing, but it's the most complete manifesting information I've found. There is over 100 pages of Q&A from readers as well to assist with comprehension.
