A Buono! ~From the Carnival to a Dining Table~ Event Side Story
An Exciting World Tour
Yae: Wow…!
Yae: Fufu.
Yae: Huh?!
Chisa: …Oh.
Chisa: (World Encyclopedia…?)
Yae: Uh-huh…
Yae: Wow, how did they do it…?!
Yae: Ah…
Yae: But what do I do? Every country seems so fascinating…
Chisa: Welcome back. Traveling around the world is fun even when you do it via a book, right?
Yae: Kya?! S-Sasuga-san…? When did you come in?
Chisa: Around the Spanish Tomato Festival, I think.
Yae: You’ve been here this long?
Chisa: It was fun to watch the faces you made. Panda probably would have taken plenty of photos.
Yae: My emotions were showing that much? Now it’s a bit embarrassing.
Chisa: It was cute. Seems like you’ve been enjoying this book a lot.
Yae: Yes! The librarian recommended it to me, so I borrowed it, and it really turned out to be very interesting!
Chisa: World Encyclopedia, a nice book indeed.
Yae: Sasuga-san, did you read it too?
Chisa: I was glad to see that somen noodles were listed under Japanese specialties. The editor has a good taste.
Yae: Fufufu, Sasuga-san, that’s something you would say.
Chisa: But why this book exactly? Are you planning a trip abroad?
Yae: A trip would be awesome. But in truth I need it for my school assignment.
Chisa: Ah, that’s nice. When I was in elementary school, we also worked on a similar assignment with Panda.
Chisa: Have you chosen a country already?
Yae: Actually… The more I read, the more interesting every country seems, so it’s been hard to choose…
Yae: Um… If you don’t mind, could I ask you for advice?
Chisa: No sweat. So, what countries have you picked out so far?
Yae: First of all, America. Its Broadway shows are the first thing that comes to mind, so I thought it would be nice to do some research on that.
Yae: The second one is France. It also seems to have a rich theatrical tradition. There are opera houses, and it’s famous for various fine arts.
Yae: Then there’s Egypt with its pyramids, but the Spanish Tomato Festival also seems interesting…
Chisa: I get what you mean. At a closer look, every country has its charm.
Chisa: But… Fufufu, seems like I came right on time.
Yae: ?
Chisa: My fellow explorer, take a look at this flyer!
Yae: Explorer…? Italian… Fair, huh?
Chisa: Yup. My Legendary World Expedition Team was about to go on a journey to discover the wonders of Italy.
Chisa: Why don’t you take part in it too? Let’s step into the unknown together.
Yae: Wow, that sounds fun.
Yae: I wonder what we can find there.
Chisa: It’s Italy, so surely tomatoes and olive oil. And plenty of delicious pasta and pizza tastings you can eat to your heart’s content.
Yae: I don’t think we should eat too many of them…
Yae: But it’d be nice to be able to try authentic food!
Chisa: And it looks like the works of art exhibited there are on par with those of other countries.
Chisa: Of course, nothing’s wrong with choosing a country based on what you’ve read in a book, but don’t you think it would be good to choose after engaging with the real thing?
Yae: You’re right… It’s better to make the decision after seeing things with your own eyes.
Yae: Please, let me join!
Chisa: Sure. Then, let’s depart on our Italian expedition right away!
Chisa: Are you ready, my fellow explorer?
Yae: Please, wait a moment, I’ll let mom know!
