Privacy Policy for Xelent
Last Updated: July 11, 2026
This privacy policy explains what data Xelent collects, why we collect it, and how it is used. We believe in keeping things simple: we only track what is absolutely necessary to keep the bot running and provide you with game deals.
1. Data We Collect
When you use Xelent to search for a game, we collect the following temporary data to execute your request:
- Command Inputs: The specific game title you search for and your selected region/launcher preferences.
- Global Usage Statistics: We track the total number of
/dealcommands run globally per day, the number of failed searches, and total server join counts. This data is strictly numerical and aggregated to monitor the bot's server health and uptime.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Xelent does not collect or permanently store any personally identifiable information. Specifically, we do not store:
- Your Discord User ID or Username.
- Your Discord messages or server channel data.
- Billing, payment, or financial information.
Note: To prevent command spam, your Discord User ID is held temporarily in the bot's active memory for exactly 10 seconds (cooldown period). After 10 seconds, it is permanently wiped from memory. It is never written to a file or database.
3. Third-Party Services
Xelent fetches game pricing and imagery from external sources (such as the Steam API and AllKeyShop). We pass your search queries (the game name) to these services to find deals, but we do not share any of your Discord account data with them.
4. Data Retention
Our system cache stores the titles, cover images, and lowest prices of frequently searched games to speed up future searches. This cache contains no user data and is overwritten continuously.
5. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or wish to report a security concern, please contact the developer via the Discord support server or send a direct message to the bot owner.
