Chapter 6: Silent Play
Lecturer: Alright, lets move onto our next program. We are going to put on a silent play.
Lecturer: When you are on stage playing a role, it's not just about the lines you speak, its also about the expression, your body language, and posture.
Lecturer: I would like for everyone to convey a story without speaking. I think this will be a challenging task for some, but relax and give it a shot.
Shizuka: A silent play huh. I don't really do them, but they are quite interesting.
Chisa: Leave it to me. Playing Charades is my specialty.
Kathrina. That's not what this is about...
Lecturer: The theme will be "Hope and Despair of Loneliness". This silent play, will of course be a solo performance.
Lecturer: The theme may be a bit abstract but I want you to perform your own interpretation of the play from start to end.
Shizuka: "Hope and Despair of Loneliness..."
Lecturer: The way you express yourself doesn't have to be a realistic situation. You can of course choose to mime, dance or do ballet as you wish.
Chisa: Nice. This will be fun.
Kathrina: Dance huh... That does certainly fit with the theme.
Lecturer: I'll give you a bit longer to think this through. Don't be embarassed, feel free to express yourself from the bottom of your heart.
Shizuka: ...
Shizuka: From the bottom of my heart. huh.
Kathrina: Usually there's some sort of role to be played, but not this time.
Shizuka: Yeah... We haven't had much experience with that, so it's quite troubling.
Shizuka: It's also different to acting to Kokona's ideal...
Kathrina: Ahh... You are usually the one that tell Kokona how to perform as well.
Shizuka: Yeah. But this might a chance for me to grow. I'll do whatever I can.
Lecturer: IS everyone ready? WIthout further ado, Could the following people please come on stage.
Lecturer: Sasuga-san, GOod work on your performance. I haven't even taught much, yet your pantomime abilities are quite high.
Chisa: Hehe, Thank you very much.
Kathrina: What a fast learner...
Lecturer: However, I was unable to see your inner expression. Next time, please express the emotions of the theme in your performance.
Chisa: OK...
Lecturer: Next up, Kathrina-san.
Kathrina: Here.
Kathrina: (I haven't really done any silent plays before, but I have played a mermaid who has lost their voice.)
Chisa: Kathrina... She's sitting down on stage curling around her knees.
Shizuka: What is she going for? Like, the inside of an egg...?
Kathrina: (This story doesn't have a happy ending. She wasn;t able to be together with the prince, and in her final moments she wants to be by herself in her bubble.)
Kathrina: (The mermaid feels her loneliness because of her lack of freedom. To not be able to express her feelings, it was truly painful. I know how that feels...)
Kathrina: (But... even in despair, she understand what it feels to love someone, and the joy that brings.)
Kathrina: (I am the same as this mermaid. I didn't know what the outer world was like. I stayed within my shell... frightened... and hurt those that were around me.)
Kathrina: (But, everyone at Sirius had lent theeir shoulder to me.)
Kathrina: (And so, I was able to spread my wings to the outside world. And I was able to be reborn in the world of acting)
Chisa: A performance about a chick...?
Chisa: It's not like when she was in an egg, she's much more cheerful now.
Shizuka: Beautiful. Looks like she's found some friends.
Young Shizuka: You really like acting, don't you.
Young Kokona: Eh...?
Young Shizuka: Me too! I love acting!
Young Kokona: Then, lets act together!
Kokona: Why... Why don't I have one.
Kokona: Without a Sense, becoming a Daistar...
Shizuka: Kokona...
Shizuka: Kokona! Listen! It's me! Shizuka!
Shizuka: You do have one! YOu really do have one. I'm...!
SHizuka: I'm definitely your Sense.
SHizuka: ...
