I more or less ditched incandescent EcoLight smart bulbs for more-environment friendly compact fluorescents in my house years ago. However at this point, EcoLight smart bulbs I'm awfully close to ditching CFLs for the newest in lighting know-how: LEDs. LED lighting has bought lots going for it. The lights might be way more efficient than other types of lights, and the bulbs are purported to final for tens of hundreds of hours--sufficient to last 20 or 30 years depending on utilization. Unlike CFLs, there isn't any mercury, the sunshine is prompt, and turning lights on and off shouldn't degrade their useful life, in keeping with manufacturers. The downside of LEDs, feature-sensible, has at all times been the sunshine color
