@frdscdd869: Oh man, this took me back. Truth be told, I had no idea about the whole... event with Splat. I don't want to spoil the video... all I remember is the hubbub about dorrbell when it came out. My reaction was similar to yours. I never played or 'heard' anything else to do with Splat. I regret that, but I also kind of don't, because I can easily see me among those ~15 who joined Splat in the end. I wasn't all that stable at the time. I spent most of my days investigating real and/or simulated doorbells---bells in general, to be accurate. This started when the bell tower of the church in the parking lot where I slept collapsed, which probably would have deafened me if I wasn't already. I got addicted to imagining the overwhelming toll of the bell whose one true note nature deprived me of, to imagining the sound of the crashing tower and all the people screaming. I hadn't truly been envious of the able-bodied before then, but afterwards, when I didn't even realize what had happened until the officers woke me, until after I read the news reports, all I wanted was to experience what it was like to hear the giant bell roar amid the rubble. So in a sense, I think Splat and I were alike. We were chasing the same fleeting dream in different forms. Nowadays I've crushed that dream within me. I know I'll never hear the roar of the bell or anything like it. I'm still living in my (new) car even though I'm making good money. Some things never change. But watching this made me want to go back to those days, which is something I haven't felt in a while. The stoplight went green, not sure when, but I felt the need to send this out into the universe. Thank you fine people for this tasteful video. I'll be sure to finish it soon.

@saadahtsham7: upon a rewatch i am realizing the HUGE irony that the first game the "creator" "created" is literally about how art exhibits are a bunch of people seeing ANYTHING and calling it art, and then the rest of the video is this guy giving a satire criticism of how video essays are exactly like that. this is crazy amazing content, no words honestly.

Im gonna subscribe, and, i kinda hope this gets more views but i also want it to stay unpopular so i can enjoy feeling special that i am one of the few 50K people who have watched this vid.

@deadsnake5402: i am genuinely terrified of how well you captured the "snobbish video essay about a video game where you do nothing" vibe

@Cdentube: Superimposed faces when the monitor fades to black at 3:48, Binary at 16:30, all the random mistyped/mispronounced words. And of course, Frank N. Stein. Am I missing an ARG or something??

@rob-533: the narration at the beginning really reminded me of The Beginner’s Guide in how it starts by analyzing the devs portfolio of games and further during the segment where Splat criticized their audience for assuming the game was about them during the manifesto

@charcoalangel7536: The fact that this video ended up with one of those auto YouTube warnings is the cherry on top

@lukegeller9603: it took me 2/3 of the way through to realize this is just House of Leaves re envisioned as a video essay. Well done.

@Everettssuff: This whole video is like if a piece of Shakespearean work ended with
“and then a meteor came down and killed them all the end :3”

@WIG34: the fake caddicarus video, the fake news articles and comments, the fake screenshots, the fake games that he probably had to engineer himself..... this must've taken months, very well done

@motheringrid9263: You did that so well that I actually felt uncomfortable at the glorifying suicide part

@nuke9915: 2:25 "calm as a calm stream that's not moving very fast"
hold on, his writing is this fire?

@w0rmboyd: the way i genuinely sat in silence at the end, mouth agape, pencil in hand and slightly homoerotic sketchings now abandoned.

@ToraMuts: I put this on for second screen purposes and quickly had to stop everything I was doing to give it my full attention. Its such a fascinating example of absurdist satire.

@MemesFan100: this is legit my new favorite video. best mockumentary ever

@ghorkinnn1115: A heartbreaking documentary about the dangers of parasocial relationships and Video Games. It made me feel touched, depressed, and slightly aroused. Bravo, Douger.

@d.g.f.7056: I like how junjo's quest is the last game before the hiatus and it looks like the best game, but everyone shown in the video dogs on it

@aguyinyourwalls6946: 2:37 I don't know if its part of the video but all defintions I found called it an emotional or artisical cleansing. Not an involuntary, going with the rest of the video I thought it was interesting

@solasolasolasolasolasolasola: This is genuinely and unironically one of if not the best videos on youtube ever.
All of the events feel like they happened.
I had to take a moment after watching this.
Never had to do that before.
You have brought me hope for youtube videos.

@Seershaaaaa: Listening to this at work, about 6 minutes in i was like, "Something is really off about this one. The 'youtuber voice' is pissing me off," finally check my phone to look at the comments, and it all clicked. My annoyance went to deep satisfaction. It was really fun feeling that shift. Good work! Def sharing you with all my buddies :)

@JebSvS: "Goodbye to a Splat" really brought something out of me I haven't felt in a long time. As someone who's lost a partner to suicide it nearly perfectly put into words what I couldn't. "I miss you terribly. I miss you endlessly. I look at your pictures and weep."

@CombineHgrunt: "i'm probably going to butcher this" pronounces it perfectly but then butchers the next, plain english word
this is great

@CannonBallistic: "i look at your pictures and weep from both ends" caught me so off guard

@СонатеРамибов: His name being a foreshadowing device is actually clever. He really became a splat

@vinkei4521: I thought this was real at first until I started seeing how people wrote about the game in 19th century philosopher jargon and I thought "I'm pretty sure most people don't talk like that nowadays. At least not outside of academic environments" and "I'm pretty sure it would be all over the internet if someone that popular had jumped off a window for a game, so how come I've never heard of this before?" And then it got increasingly more ridiculous to the point I died laughing.

I went from curious, to disturbed, to a laughing mess. Great job! Truly a masterpiece

@Dark_Slayer3000: This reminds me of the steam game "A Beginners Guide" which is also about a parasocial relationship with a really weird fake game developer.
Really funny essay slop, a wonderful parody!

@m.i.g.2023: Narrator suddenly cutting Eliza's speech mid-sentence felt like I just stepped on a landmine

@manuallybreathing: "since the manifesto was an obvious joke, the community quickly discarded it" lmfao

@BlueMonday420: This gives me some big 'The Beginners Guide' vibes, which I recently played through again and really enjoyed. Good video! (maybe check out the beginners guide)

@PuddingMonkey: I am genuinley at a loss for words. that was an amazing video

@sawtist: just finished the video and i genuinely feel like a new person holy hell

@speedos: reading the comments of people watching the whole video and not getting it until the end are hilarious. video essay watchers are like 1 step away from not having object permanence.

@reagangibbs1240: 16:50 dude i genuinely thought this video was real until this very moment. ive been watching while doing other stuff so i didnt pay it much mind. very well done job.

@E-J01: This is a great video. I put up this video as background noise while doing chores, thinking it was a real video essay, and I had to pause what I was doing when he started praising Dorbell, I was genuinely confused for a few minutes until the critics' comments

@RipBubblesPipe: You are really underrated, this video is so well-made.

@napoleonsrighthand: one of the best youtube videos i've seen in a while

@fredfooley9537: man, someone should fund you to make mockumentaries cause this was nearly perfect throughout.

@honeycombyt94: Fucking phenomenal. I don't know how this ended up in my recommended, but I can't wait to see this video blow up like it deserves to. Subtly bashing the sensationalization of tragedy while also just existing as a very well-done unreality piece

@gungriffon220: I hate how much this feels like something that would have come out from the era of the early indie game scene unironically overly aggrandizing dogshit. Reminds of the controversy around Super Columbine RPG, a shitpost submitted to a big indie game festival only to have multiple people duped into defending it's "artistic merits" and causing it's creator to gain actual notoriety.

@zolf0: This was indeed, as critics say, absolute cinema, bravo Vince!

@Zensora: For a video that is entirely fictional, this is the most high quality thing I’ve seen in a bit

@SqueakDCorgeh: This video is genuinely fascinating. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into when I clicked on this but this is one of the coolest finds the recommended sidebar has actually given me. INSANE work. It’s disgusting, disturbing, and yet thought provoking at the same time.

@lovecraftgamer5398: In a span of 20 minutes I felt varying degrees of intrigue, dread, disgust, hopelessness, relief, and joy I never thought I could in my few years of living in this planet. Not much makes me feel any strong emotion, but this video has brought out the color in me, it is a 3 Michelin star feast for the mind. Bravo! This is art that can never be replicated, you are an artist above the concept of art itself and all who claim the title when you are the standard!

@Kranpus: This makes me feel like i am living the events of Johnny in the house of leaves and i just came across Zampano documentary. This is beautiful man I haven't subscribed faster in my life this is beautiful please don't stop. This is art.

@ultra_9861: played. i can say nothing, but you have truly played us. played us all.
sure, the video had some hard to believe sections with ign giving a 10/10 to a game with a screen saying 'nobody loves you', but the sheer amount of effort, and how long the build up to the punchline was is truly nothing short of commendable.
bravo. just bravo.

@taylorscornutopia: that ending was legit insane man, this is amazing work

@SwaggyG_2102: This might've been one of the best videos that YouTube has ever recommended me.

@bogomSwamp: This made me feel. It made me finally feel. It's been so long since I've seen something as plentiful as this, that I would weep in sorrow and monotony. But this. This saved me. Thank you.

@neuroharmonics: This is actually one of the greatest videos to ever come out.
I had to take a pause half way in just to think about the nature of art for a couple of minutes.
I noticed the obvious jokes and fake articles and many other details but I truly believed in it. And I still don't want to stop believing.
You got me man, you made the purest art out there. You perfected the art of trolling and art in general.

@gmdrandom6287: Truly a masterpiece. I remember playing Splat's games and they were some of the most influential and groundbreaking works to me. I was starstruck when the game "Dried Paint." released and spent many hours watching the paint dry. The experience truly molded me into who I am today. Thank you for tastefully covering his works and his tragic life story.

@AstralAva: Unironically one of the best video essays I watched this year. Phenomenal ending.

I still have no idea how much of the things mentioned are real or just a figment of imagination out of the mind of its creator.

@notgucci5877: I wont even lie, I just put this on in the background and didnt realize what was going on until way too far into the video

@StopDropDash: I just finished watching this and cannot tell if this is unfiction, real, incredibly disrespectful, satire, or something else. It started off kinda cool but downspiraled into what felt incredibly disturbing in a very untraditional sense.

@catsbepurrinmreooowww: Amazing work Douger. Not many people may remember splat after years passed. It was truly a wonderful time to be alive and play his games ;) I do miss him. Truly a game dev like no other.

@intboom: 5:14 Shows calendar in 2019 - Opens Windows 98 to a PSX/Windows fusion noise, and uses dialup to connect to the internet via IE1
I feel like I just took a sip of fine whiskey.

@Slinguh1111: This feels like those unnecessarily complex lies you make up for some reason

@ultrateam-I4I: i genuinely thought this was real for around 10 minutes into the video

@ZSquaredPlusC: LOG 1 - 3/28/2025

spoilers for the video, do not continue reading unless you have watched to the end

.

Among the many small things viewers can notice in this video, if you take the time to pause look at the fake forums and reviews, you can find something odd.

On no less than four separate occasions, this video mentions an ant being burned by a magnifying glass.

At 7:56, a text review describes an ant being burnt after the word 'antithesis' repeats and mutates.
At 9:02, the quote from Andros Mitch describes a serene scene and compares the reader to the burned ant. Unusually, he describes the ant as being 'saved' by the sun. I don't think that's how it works.
At 14:33, a guest recalls killing ants with a magnifying glass himself, and says "i just thought man cant wait to kill you".
At 16:22, a totally sane individual with no problems whatsoever says he felt like an ant saved by a magnifying glass upon learning Splat was dead. Note the ant was described as 'saved' again.

There's a few possible meanings this could have. The easier interpretation is that it is a metaphor for how people on the internet can dethatch themselves from how people on the other end might think of their actions, some examples in the video include how people try to uncover Splat's identity without his consent, the blatant example of making him jump, and contacting his family despite being told not to. It's a nightmare for Splat and his family, but to the Splatlanders their feelings might as well be as important as the feelings of an ant...

There's another reading I have of this regarding the use of the word "saved". But I'll leave that for a different log...

@PepeoeOiwiow: i love when splat says "its splatting time" and just splattered all over the ground

@elchamakito336: The YT warning probably made this video dissappear from the algo. What a shame.

@stanford_pines: This is genuinely an amazing video. This is modern art, this is catharsis and light and sound woven together into something mindnumbingly everything in such a nothing timeframe at such a nothing scale with such a nothing reach. Keep splattin', splatcels.

@PurpleIzBack: this is actually a masterful video im... im impressed WOW

@theATSthetic: Holy shit i am so dumb.
It took me until seeing the second black and white old guy 17 minutes in to realize you were just taking the piss. Good bideo. 10/10. There's like a million videos like this and when I saw that crucifixion drawing I just thought "I don't think it's like that. man."

@emeraldhamster: WHAT THE FUCK THAT COMPLETLEY THREW ME OFF AT THE END LMFAO

I thought this was a normal documentary and then next thing I know it's some guy making an artform of someone else's death, and I was so confused until I hear "I'M SPLAT AND I'M NOT ACTUALLY DEAD" and then when the video ended, it all clicked

@luluconacolo2729: This is really giving The Beginner's Guide

@Super.Whimsy: This is the House of Leaves of game analysis. Minotaur and maze.

@nefedes2729: This is genuinely one of the best videos, if not the best, I've seen on this platform. Thanks, Splat.

@thatonedude05: >looks like a generic video about a horror game

look inside
streamer killed by his own fanbase
surprisingly not a real occurrence

@BrokenFingerParadise: Oh I thought he was called splat because he had bowel problems

@needsart: The Beginner's Guide if everyone was insane

@Gengy-w4z: Man it was awesome

I was going to rant in the comment but man the last part was amazing

Building essay and then releasing stress was just phenomenal

@cycillian: this is my new favourite video on the internet

@NiHiL0098: this is a mockery of video essay slop, and I love it.This is antislop.

@SadBulldog: 15 minutes.

It took me 15 minutes to realize this was satirical.

Good stuff.

@kaspersorbom1731: There's a funky odor in the seat of my gaming chair, how do I get the smell out?

@ranamona: i thought this was real for like a minute or so because i genuinely do have a weird vague memory of that toilet museum game thing

@afiqah3230: The ending literally made me spat out my water and stained my pants in the process. Now I look like I just pissed myself. Great video btw

@PuryXYZ: "video games" - final words of the game creator
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
GIVE THIS MAN AN AWARD RIGHT NOWWW!!1!1!!

@xxbennyboygamerxx: this genuinley might be the best video on youtube Wow

@KUSOKSAFKONN: 1. set this as background noise thinking its a regular video essay

  1. realise you're actually listening to background noise
  2. rewatch
  3. holy shit

@Sinbun666: "Video games... " 🗣🗣🗣🗣🐎

@AirseedStuff: Best video I've seen on youtube in forever oh my god

@sup3rrr: Welcome back splat

@someguy19: when the video ended, the first words i said were "what the fuck".
honestly, it took me a hot second after that to fully realise this video was... what's the word i'm looking for? i guess, not talking about something actually real?? like wow, you seriously got me convinced there.
the weird thing with this video is just that it was constantly recommended to me since it released. every time i went on youtube, over and over again, i would see this video. it begged me to watch it, and i feel like that was intentional in a way.
just the entire video is... interesting. how it got recommended to me, the premise, just everything was... interesting.
i believe i said what i wanted to say
amazing video, and amazing work!

@LiterallyWize: i nearly went crazy watching this video, well done

@MrSource_: In the first half I was ready to pass this off as another pompous video essay. Thanks for proving me wrong, the story of Splat's legacy was truly divine. I'M READY FOR JUNJO'S QUEST 2 SPLAT WHERE IS IT?!

@sainguinpixels: Earned a sub cause this almost tricked me and it's a really well done video

Can't wait to see what else you pull you little prankster

@sneakyaxolotl: This is one of if not the best stories I have ever watched. Amazing job!

@Reedsho: This is genuinely the video of all time

@ziiko3693: keep going man hope this blows up, especially love the post structuralist academic writing for the game magazines. Soothing voice Calm as a calm stream thats not moving very fast or something equally calm

@jumbojoshonmolly: nobody needs to make any more videos after this. this is the peak of youtube

@Nmlsscmmntr: I feel like this is a satire on documentary type videos taking themselves too seriously.

@trueluscao: this IS the best promo move i've ever seen bro

no "possibly, probably, rarararara" just IS.

@JR-zi9vj: Honestly i should've realized the truth with how things didnt add up and were far more confusing than artsy in the video but that ending was fantastic great job.

@Infinite_Archive: Absurdist comedy at its finest. Well done!

@BEANAVIOUS: How dare you for tricking me into thinking this was real.

@lobo_azul: I swear I hadn't laughed so hard for a while. Thanks.

@bigfanofbread37: This is actually one of the best Youtube video's I have ever watched. Like oh my god. I have no words this is so fucking good I don't know how this only has like 7k views PLEASE let this blow up holy shit

@lazersnek2108: The best youtube video I've ever seen, genuine work of art.

@Macaconarcizista: at some point i tought, man.... it would be crazy if all this shit was made up., then i tought no man would be mad enough to come up with this shit, best video ever

@starrs802: Holy fu@%& great video man.
Amazing work

@arrestedeffort: Oh dear god I cannot wait for The Same Meteorite Kills Another Schoolchild. The gameplay trailer was truly a transcendent experience.

@stroobooree: At a loss for words with this one. This deserves all the attention in the world. Excellent video.

@one_two_three_for_five: i cant wait for pyro to react to this and pausing every time a sentence finishes

@peculiarfellow: holy shit i love you i can't imagine how long this must've taken

@WeebkillerMoss: This video is literally Super Eyepatch Wolf in a nutshell...

@UraTruba: Wow, another great video from jacob geller, good job!

@TheBigBlackJoshi: I'm in this video

@ommohammad5507: DUDE i was just about to say how sucide is not art and talk about how bad it is to kill yourself and whatever that would be like 500 hours rant, BUT THEN I WATCH THE FULL VIDEO AND BOOM! TRULY A WORK OF ART! I Applause you! AMAZING VIDEO and i can not wait for your upcoming games.

@bigsky1047: i feel like I just witnessed a landmark video. one that will be remembered and inspire future vids of this type. that is to say, this is maybe the best video of its kind, which there are very few, especially played so well.

@Benny-f3m: What the actual fuck?! This Splat person never existed? Holy shit this the best thing to ever exist. Great job!!

@itsitsitsitsits: Oh wow. Greybies (2013) was one of my favorite games as a child (I was 32 when it came out). I had no idea...

@JhonDoey: He fell out of a window and died plummeting to the ground and his name is splat my god that is genius and funny at the same time

@ToidiZuzuDiPuts: Damn, this is like a cross between the opening arc of Ex Machina and Ruru's Suicide on a Livestream. Super interesting stuff.

@Gritchotron: “I weep from both ends”
Maximum pottery

@christiaanprinsloo8951: 15:09 is what broke me

@Dr.-Bloxx: This was unironically beautiful. I am surprised by everything this video just did and I hope to see more.

@P-O-L-T-E-R-G-E-I-S-T: I feels like I’m being indoctrinated into a cult

@seymourbuttes3194: I remember that stream. Rest In sPlat. We are Splaticus.

@Mediocre_Pip: I am being complicated serious when I say this is one of, if not the best video I’ve seen on YouTube

@Blankult: I don't know how to feel about the fact that i only realized i was being bamboozled at the 8 minute mark, despite questioning my sanity several times

@Linkonpark100: This video is a masterful pisstake. Well done.

@deadroads48: my favorite part was when splat said "it's splatting time" and splatted all over the place

@JayUwU04: I love how all of the reviewers images are from like the 1900s even tho they wrote them in 2016 lmao

@ponehanon: Amazing video, I can't even begin to process what I've witnessed.
Thank you, Splat.

@minimappering: I legit dont know what I just watched but the quality is great

@bontiac: YOU DUPED ME! YOU PLAYED ME LIKE A GODDAMNED FIDDLE, I THOUGHT FOR SURE THIS WAS REAL— BUT IN RETROSPECT, IT’S SO OBVIOUS— WELL FUCKING PLAYED, WONDERFUL GODDAMNED VIDEO

@onepunchmudkip: I BELIEVED IT THE WHOLE WAY IM SO PISSED LMAO
MY FIRST THOUGHT ABOUT THE ENDING WAS FUCKING “why’d he do that, that’s a bit insensitive”

@NiHiL0098: I get it now.
This video isn't ant-slop, nor is it slop.
It's down-right art disguised as a snobbish, pretentious video essay.
it comes off as your stock standard tired youtube crap, but once you know what your looking for it is honestly downright eldritch and terrifying.
I never read house of leaves, but I did play myhouse.wad, which from what I heard, plays similar to how house of leaves reads.
When I went back in with that mindset, and pealing away the outer layer, this video is a masterpiece.

@2.thestars: most life changing 22 minutes and 49 seconds of my life

@liijomi: there is a trend with killing ants with magnifying glasses in this video

@joyunderhiswings: The end is extremely funny and the entire video before it gets you all serious and not ready for the punchline at all but it makes it all better, other than that its basically really good unfiction story

@SkelletonJelly: nasal voice"VIDEO GAMES"
chilling, truly chilling
bravo sir, this is a masterpiece essay

@Ryder-hf2fx: I adore this video. Once you realize....

It's really fucking funny LOL. Honestly really good satire, it kind of makes me glad I'm not the only one who can get tired of how people can act like something is groundbreaking just for trying to be "smart" or even for criticizing the audience. Splat's whole "rant" at 11:37 was kind of the moment I caught on to it, and also kind of spoke to a lot of what the video was really getting at. But bits like some character names, the progressively more insane names for Splat fans, and the absurdly ending destroyed me too. It's genuinely crazy how good this is as satire while still just being an engaging (and slightly funny) video.

@BennieBunfox: the shit broke the moment i saw caddicarus 😭

amazing video nonetheles

@Horder1: I'm just speechless

@sockpuppetacc3120: Wake up baby. A new Super Eye Patch Wolf video essay just dropped

@eggofan247: high as hell and this moved me

@ConvertingMinds: There is a hidden creepy face on the black background of the thumbnail of this video. 😳

@TheReallyRealTJ: Hey, Splat! Glad to hear you're doing better! I think I speak for everyone when I say we look forward to your next game project!

@soypagain: as a longtime splatlander, this perfectly concealed my personal experience with them. o7

@coolgamer7999: i cant be the only one to notice how he purposely made the scrolling images of the different games blurrier as it goes on at about 1:40 ? like if you pause each one, the later ones still look blurry despite being paused LMFAO

@igorigor3960: Does anyone remember who was the dev who unironically made a video essay about the game they made themselves? I forgot the name :face-orange-biting-nails:

@Just_Nice07: it's alright

@nikolasdepaula4537: Anyone else see the creepy faces at 3:48? They appear as the scene transitions between the narrator's PC to a black screen.

@Ianluccab: THIS WAS SO GOOD

@mouseworks: This video is art.

@kuiperbelt2488: Spoilers

God, what a great video. The fact that you (et al.) constructed everything, from the forums, to the animations, to the Genre-Defining Experiences (games), for this video is just amazing. The jokes and the quips legit made me chuckle: blatant disregarding of Frank's post, KATHARDSIS, Frank's Sister's extremely creepy message, culty glorification. Damn!

I don't think I've ever seen a video perfectly represent how stale and pompous most video essays have become in recent years. God bless you. Subbed.

@not_acult: 8:05 CADDICARUS MENTION???

@Ruinbornaftonalwayscomesback: I’m genuinely baffled by this, I’m still recovering from that recoiling sensation of “all of THIS. was NOT real??”

I have searched the internet, and haven’t found anything about splat, the incident, or his games.

im still not convinced enough that this is not real :(

STILL WAITING FOR DÖRRBELL 2

@ConvertingMinds: I really got jumpscared and very disturbed at the end. It was just me? 😢

@libsteve: “Calm as a calm stream that’s not moving very fast, or something else equally calm.” 🤣

@glitchyfruit2503: I only really caught on fully when you said no recordings exist

@SwaggyG_2102: 8:01 The moment the Angry Pissed Off Gamer appeared on-screen, that's when I knew that this was a shitpost, albeit a very well done shitpost.

@MegaFrog: I'm so glad I watched to the end, because you genuinely fooled me with the fake video essay schtick. The greatest satire I've ever seen.

@thehappyascii: Amazing Video, I haven't seen such good satire, let alone one of video essays, in a long while and it was phenomenal. I love it.

@TheNewNuggetSurfer-kz9km: What in the schizophrenic avant-garde did I just watch?

@juliasaraiva9146: i was watching this while sewing and it actually took me until the last 4 minutes to realize this was fake lol, absolutely fantastic story

@RSBMiasmaGaming: Mythic recommended Pull

@glucky9046: This is absolute cinema

@ITR: Dörhändel is finally coming out??? I know essayists predicted it's existence by reading between the lines of Splat's games, but most people dismissed it as theorists selectively interpreting to get more views on their videos. It finally coming out will be such a satisfying slap in the face for the dörhändel unbelievers

@AugustRx: The splatlandee didn't land the splat afterall

@mansharonipizza: i was a divorced, alcoholic abusing father of 32. i still am one. thank you splat, thank you douger facts, now keep making videos....im almost done....

@Ekstromer64: this is real, i was the one that resurrected splat using black magic so he could make this video

@CheeCatRootbeer: 11:37 Kenneth Lamar? Literally mustard guy!

@Tsvnd0wn: Initially thought this was something that actually happened but the self-proclaimed intellectual game reviewers made me sceptical. Until the reveal that Splat's real name is 'Frank N. Stein' made me realise this is fiction, lol. Well done satirising the over-dramatic youtube essayists.

@electroidx9810: Bro should've known the first thing his players would do is to test fall damage

@yorp4161: When he said the name Vildromk Ünderling i lost my shit. Gold

@RoseOnFire: Took me too long to realize this is satire 😭 well don

@Crigence: It really is a shame that Splat's experiences are so forgotten these days. I really hope that one day the Resplatted project comes to fruition and we can all get the remake of DÖRRBELL that we deserve

@epicstar86: absolute cinema 😢

@a0001521: This has ironically more coherence than any "real" Minecraft ARG

@pulvenberg1709: Wild. This is wild.

@dondon8025: maybe this is the video that convinces me to give "house of leaves" a read even if i don't understand it

@voodoosnowman: pouring my heart out for splat,rip in piece

@kayro2234: This is amazing. Liked and subbed.

@jasperwashere: Absolutely incredible. I shed a tear down my leg

@chaotickclock3071: This was certainly a video of all time.

@Gengy-w4z: This is Art

@vinnyreed723: Splat made some powerful stuff and this video did his work justice.

@AlyphRat: Was being fooled until 5:48, that's Windows 10's mouse cursor. ROFL

@32bg: You’re soooo underrated my goodness, it’s painful how underrated you are.

@bloodsucker5485: Maybe it's the 'tism or my increasing lack of faith in indie content fields, creations, and culture ( especially on YouTube) but I didn't even consider it was fake at all until about the end and I still didn't really figure it out until reading the comments😭 ngl I actually want some of the games listed to be real I'm a big fan of 'games that aren't games' as Jacob Geller puts them. Also sorry for breaking the 666 comment amount guy

@ZeroArtsMade: Numb. That's what this masterpiece have made me.

@BlazingSienna: This is one of the best videos ever, i wish youtube's algorithm would recommend this video to more people

@SeaJayZero: This video is absolutely hilarious, a great idea, creative execution. Beautiful work

@BadBame962: You had me until you said that nobody recorded the Splat going splat on livestream.

@flintwined: 20:42 this was written by his sister???? I sense a hidden meaning behind it.

@HoneylemonMelon: Truly one or the YouTube videos of all time. The scream at the end was my favorite

@TisticNoodle: dude this feels like a creepypasta, especially the mylife net part
i thought this was real for the first half of the video

@absoluut.nul.animatie: Idk if this was intentional but that ending reminded me of that Blue Yourself videogame essay which uh, has a similar twist.
Fantastic video.

@chainsawz5618: this is proof that we live in a simulation and that the AI generating the universe has broken and is just spitting out random shit now, i wasn't meant to find this, no one was meant to find this, this is supposed to just be filler

@AlienFromOuptagoop: I just finished watching this, and I can't even form a coherent thought or sentence

@rhnlpflz: we are seeing a masterclass at play

@greatpower6063: Thiis was a funny video and also...it made me wish that game journalists talked about gaming news like madmen corrupted by the maddening gaze of an eldritch monster.

@mikehawk4388: The trigger warning for "pirated media" was truly transcendent.

@0tterhead: touche. i am the fool.

@N3Selina: before even concluding the video, what if all of these jokes weren't actually jokes but sincere thoughts and feelings?

@prest01: i was so clocked out that i didn't realize this was fake until like half way through I was like "hmm this is strange who cares about a doorbell game"

@yipYIP-yip1: 22:26 not only the face scared me but i also kinda got happy LOL(i swear to god i hope this ain't no joke omg this man is some smart one a condiment stayed in the jar only next for it to expire to be in heaven you smart lil guy man...)

@pengine6096: I genuinely had to look to find out if it was real or not, really impressive to be honest

@BusinessZeus: once I saw the made up Caddicarus video I knew something was up, also the endless dramatic pauses and random pictures of old people after one fadeout had me mocking the video, but then it occurred to me that Caddicarus was in on it all along and Majestic 12 had gotten to him aswell.

@nihilisticpancake308: Also, the only thing wrong is the lack of censorship on killing and suicide.

@Fexxis_: making video essays that are just lies is so amazing

@sig_natural: well played

@EndlessElixith: I can't watch any of your other videos bro I sat through these 23 minutes thinking this all was real 💔

@Justanotherinternetuser: art

@ariesdemiurge: The fact it took me so long to realize this was satire and comments weren't just assuming as much through Schrodinger's Asshole logic... speaks volumes about video essays these days. Reminder: a serious Parasite Eve retrospective claimed that voice acting hinders writing, and a serious Hyper Light Drifter video essay denounced all dialogue, period.

@ittybitty_bat: It doesn’t matter what I think but you are a truly gifted storyteller, I’m enamored

@0jeej0: loving these

@mapthetree: Best Video Essay I have ever watched. Bravo, your post-existentialist supraradical self-ergocentric reconstruction of this, husk of a story, through your own para-identity infused in the postmodern digivirtual simulation, combining the journalist with the author, the splatter with the splattee, truly, truly touched every fiber of my metaphysiopsychological self. Bravo. SPLAT.

@daniishere360: This rly reminds me of solar sands

@xaviidk: VIDEO GAMES🗣️🔥🗣️

@midkid87: absolute cinema

@attackofthecopyrightbots: I'm at a loss as to what's going on here.

@natycrap: that ending was so damn funny
ngl
i thought this was real until the insane twist, and the screaming of "IM NOT DEAD"

@aguyinyourwalls6946: When are you going to release an exquisite video production about the works of Henry Julian Maplethorn's?

@DeyBawnes: Splat really splattered

@Rissoe_Really: if i could i would post the absolute cinema gif

@SolidPlay: Absolute cinema

@shroomy7131: Absolute cinema

@DoctorLatch: a truly heartbreaking story
thoughts and prayers to the family

@StrykerMagnum: The Greeks called it "Katharsis", a forced cleansing.

@nicholasgoat: I will never get the time back of watching this vid, thanks pal

@jipsplayer1896: This feels a combination at horror and shitposting

@nihilisticpancake308: Inject part in my veins 16:43
The amount of bullshit words in there!! 😂

@aspreon: "Dude, what the fuck?" but in a positive way

@mucauk: i didnt understand this was fake until i looked at the comments AFTER watching the WHOLE video

@Tracequaza: I wish AI slop wasn't so prevalant that I felt the need to look into the comments to check and spoil myself slightly, this was an excellent video.

I loved when you said concreted and then said you meant to say created, a subtle reference that splat's work will never be completed

Also Mary and Robert Stein, my guess is Mary Shelley and Robert DeNiro (played the monster in one of the movies) but I've got no idea about Eliza

@HezrouDhiaga: 22:24 this deadass had the same energy as a season finale of Rick and Morty where shit goes way off the rails.

@nihilisticpancake308: This reminds me of a donghua I watched, which apparently was like a movie.

@Ember_Fox: If all of this is truly fake. We have reached the apotheosis of satire and irony. A fake game creator, making nothing games, becoming one of his nonexistent art in a act of defiance against life itself. A deconstruction of video games, video essays, YouTube and content creation as a whole. Beautiful, mesmerising, enlightening, and most importantly, stupid as hell. Like what the fuck???!!!!

@piavvz9396: Thank you for this beautiful piece of art. This is the best thing I've ever watched. Thank you thank you thank you

@jamesholdername: Peak.

@pyton1d752: "minotaurs in the mazes of myst" lol

@kemipova: "video games..."

@Hobster64: why did I believe this was real until 20 minutes into the video
how much sleep am I on

@suchalem6686: I had this on in the background while I was doing other stuff and kept noticing weird red flags, but just brushed them off because I didn't care to find anything else to put on. I scrolled down to the comments like three minutes before the end and got totally blindsided. What the fuck.

@Doktario_Mystario: i was fooled until the very end of the video

@BusinessZeus: I am so dissapointed that this got age restricted, not only does BigBunjeee get banned but Splat isn't even known to the public : (

@figmasternutter6364: Transcendent.

@strawby: Transcendent.

@gun8737: I genuinely don't know what I have watched, but it's one of the first times I caught myself leaning forward in my seat looking at the screen.

The comment section is filled with jokey comments and roleplaying, but this is, for real, one of the most fascinating videos I have seen.

And it was nothing. It was a video about nothing. It kept building a foundation and adding another one, eventually making a tower of cement.

This video is superb, the timing, editing style, sheer amount of effort put in every second is astonishing. And it was all for the sake of it. Not for views, not for fame, but for the freedom of making. All of it, just to give us, the audiance, one small second of KATHARSIS in our lives.

I got tricked. We all did. But even when the curtain became ripped and we all saw the tricks, we still played along.

I thought it was going to be pig slop. A somewhat interesting story, but I got nothing, and that meant to much more. I was given sand, but I realized it was gold.

We are Splat. And none of it matters. And that our unimportance is important. And that we are important and we are loved, alone and forgotten.

And even after this introspection, my monologue that I am writing on March 22 2025, at 20.18 PM, have realized that I am Splat.

We are Splat. And none of it matters. And that our unimportance is important. And that we are important and we are loved, alone and forgotten, and I have realized that I am Splat.

We are Splat. And none of it matters. And that our unimportance is important. And that we are important and we are loved, alone and forgotten, and I have realized that I am Splat.

And we are not anyone. And that is important. Because we are loved.

@personguyguy: bro this was actually insanely good lmao

@numIock: the video equivalent of danny devito staring at the camera, teary-eyed and whispering "oh my god... i get it..." being used ironically

@Cabesandia: took me 4 minutes to realize this was a joke. well played!

@terrypvcringe9093: tell me why i thought this was real until the very end

@PandaSlothProductions: Wtf mythical recommendation pull. This is incredible

@prismaticat: i sure wish the person who sent this to me warned me not to read the comments early, RIP

@camdenpierson459: I love this video

@bastianalsoknownasagoddamn3647: I knew this was some lain shizophrenia once we actually talked about His games

@gidby: the shape of the face on the thumbnail made me think its yet another mugen video

@chrise8275: If I was actually paying attention and not playing RDR 2. I would’ve caught on way sooner than I did.

@HonorJanas: I knew this was fake just from the title. I’ve been in the EXE community for a long, Long, L O N G while and stuff like this is really nothing out of the ordinary.

@poimon5607: The extremely guttural catharsis 😭

@doodlebro.: im speechless, this is the only video i'll allow myself to not fundamentally understand just a little bit... did he die? has his sister fr splatted the beans on what they were doing behind closed doors? just how many people with their screws loose were involved in all this mess? is this one of THE hidden gem video documentaries? was this video required to be watched past midnight?
yes... probably

@justincruz8050: bcuz he went splat on the gernd

@ohheyiexist737: Jesus christ I had this on the background of downloading sims2 mods and literally stopped and went to watch the video in full when it got apeshit insane.
What the fuck.
You know what. Sure.

@Ammar2009y: HOLY SHIT HES BACK I MISSED YOU SO MUCH

@thegoddamnsun5657: weep from both ends..?

@_ZimZam: Absolutely Kino

@crispybaboy: guys I don't think this is real.

@lob0_940: peak writing

@barrierloss: OH fuck DID splat just?

@maikha8963: I AM SHOOKETH.
SHOOKETH TO THE POINT WHERE MY SHOCK HAS GOTTEN AN ANOTHER SHOCK.
The story zigzagged in my mind as I slowly realized what was going on here... just for all of that to GO DOWN THE DRAIN with a guitar solo of an end. Truly one of the best shit posts art pieces out here on youtube.

@Solinaru: what if the real videogames was the splat we made along thr way?

@zxcasf: "ᵛᶦᵈᵉᵒ ᵍᵃᵐᵉˢ..."

@shytendeakatamanoir9740: Good job for clickbaiting us all and getting away with it.
Because what we got wasn't what we expected, bug it was so much more than that.

@glichking6812: I was there for the stream I honestly thought it was ai or fake but the sound of the crunch couldn't be faked

@MabelMaya-r7w: When splat says "you are here for yourself" in his manifesto, he's literally correct. Do you think think that, for a given art-work, the artist(s) perception of their own work should overide all other perceptions of it? Whay about behaviour in public, do you think your intentions matter more than your actions? Art is for the people

@PregnantAdamSandler: If I was splat I would have just not jumped

@GoonFromTheMoon777: I actually wanted to play Splat’s games. Darn I wish it was real

@rokiecookie3832: I am ashamed oh how long it took me to realise this is satire

@leftIncel: when splat said “video games” then jump off the building, I felt that.

@MajorBulletMagnet: so tragic

@TheOtherLPer203: I don't know what to say about this. I don't think I CAN say anything about this.

@dorkfishieSailor: Nobody will ever make a documentary this good ever again. It's all downhill from here.

@dakotasoleil: you should be so much more popular goddamn

@megalomari: video ... games...

@el_lea: I really want to thank you for not uploading this on April 1st, it just makes it like 100 times more believable heheh

@thatstickguy2828: this video has the complexities and beauty of a Bible verse

@captaincalamity5025: the ending made me laugh so hard i woke up the cat laying in my lap. apologize for what you have doen

@someuser4166: Fun fact dörr means door in Swedish but remove an r (dör) and it means "dies"

@recursiveslacker7730: Someone send this to Atrioc.

@gbjsyzftbcacjyfubjygkgcjae3182: what the fuck did i just watch (affectionate) (this is amazing) (an unironic masterpiece) (it is 2am) (where am i)

edit after mentally digesting that: oh my fucking god this is art. it made me feel so weird and gross and wrong in a way that i haven't gotten from anything for a long ass time, and it builds up so slowly and deliciously. the visuals, the editing, the fake pretentious reviewers who look like they were all plucked from early 1900s high society, the articles, the fact that i ended up questioning whether this was real or fake when i'd already noticed that it wasn't all that realistic...

THEN I IMMEDIATELY WHACK INTO A POLE AND PEEL OFF LIKE FUCKING LOONEY TUNES

this is like crack to me. 10/10 would feel like throwing up then be immediately discombobulated again

edit 2: i am eating this video

edit 3: from what i can gather from this comment section, i should read house of leaves

@tastelesspotato4151: this is EXACTLY like contemporary art! one arrogant person making something thats really lame and has zero meaning and thats the joke to them and the even more egotistical audience who PRETENDS to see a "deep meaning" inside of the vast randomness of nothing and thats why theyre different whilst the creator gets an ego boost to everyone involved!

@allergictosanity: this video says a lot abuot society

@theanimartist2299: Guess you could say he…splatt

@pkpittoo795: Dude how do you not have more subscribers? I clicked on this video and it was just so well made I thought it had to be from a million subscriber channel but lo, it is not! only 471! how??

@someturkey: This video made me SPLAT myself!

@vvvisionnnn: guys is splat the andy warhol of game industry

@rowdyrunkus4188: I like how Henry Julian Maplethorn slips in a comment about his own literature in the middle of some of the obituaries

@Calaxon: that ending hit me like a brick at light speed

@Superschokokeks: If you got depression because of splat games, I suggest playing dark souls after that. It cures depression

@dontrestnow: here before this video gets over 1M views

@TheCourtKingslayer: Idk if this is an arg or just a parody but this is funny af

@reaperck6983: i HAVE NO IDEA WHAT JSUT HAPPENED

@Ben_19M: absolutely legit asf
thank you for making this

@anistolewhat: still a shame theres no junjos quest yaoi

@Ranixo286: Can't believe Jerma plagiarized this man smh

@afosandstufflol: To quote they might be giants, "What does it mean?"

@theonlyUncleale: This is top teir

@Mr.Derp8finity: Wait... THIS WASN'T REAL??? IT WAS SO GOOD, THOUGH. I saw the signs and felt horrible for the guy, having gone through some of that kind of stuff myself! :'(

@blubberingbuffoons: Based on the comments I have no idea what I'm about to watch.

@peteyerey: To anybody that has not watched the video in full, please do not click the "view more" button. You will know why if you watch the video.

I've lost the loss of being able to put this into words, to the point where that loss cancels out and leads me with nothing to say. Never in my entire life have I ever just had my mouth agape, processing the spectacle, being unable to think of anything other than what I had just seen, becoming weak on the outside, unable to feel, going numb, losing any sense of anything around me, until I had mentally snapped myself out of the trance of a conflicting sense of clarity and confusion. I feel completely incapable of describing any of what makes this video what it is. But I know it is art. It is not my job to analyze everything. But I know it is a form of art. By the second, I, writing this right now, have already lost every small description of what I feel. Is this Katharsis? The other night at school I listened to a meditation that stated being content is not happiness. So this is being content. Thank you for letting me understand what feeling truly content means. Maybe one day I will feel it again. It may be during another part of my life or nearing death. But I will know that in that moment I feel inner peace that challenges any other sense that causes such feeling of oneself. This is a life lesson. Thank you for teaching me. I appreciate you, for what you have shown me. I hope the absolute best will come from your future works. You have changed me.

@purple_pancakes4853: i’m gonna splat 🥶

@ThatNezGuy: the game that changed the world was mort the chicken for ps1

@obcie: If art is not already dead, it is dying and we are killing ourselves concomitantly as we try to correct and define it. "Art critic" is a fancy title for people who like the sound of their own voice. We are not phycologist and we are not philosophers. Everyone needs to take a deep breath. This video is absolutely amazing. It gave me a headache.

@gorecandies: As someone who grew up with Splat's games, seeing the

@azzarox6661: Y'all remember the strawberry jam controversy? Dumbest thing to ever happen to Splat tbh.

@angela.luntian: im crying at how exaggerate the elements are 😭

@Emmycron: "Nobody Loves You"
Nobody:

@zaytracing: this is mad depressing but very interesting

@OHNOAAAAH: This better hit a million views in a couple hours

@3dmovieplayer: video games

@thedragonsden2004: Peak

@the_squibbler: this is peak

@audiosurfarchive: This is just like Junjo's Quest. This is the Junjo's Quest of life!

@xqsk4660: I clicked on this thought this would be an video essay. But then half way they started to have some old picture that looks like it would before colored camera invented commented on the video game and I was like "this is a fake video isn't it". But kept watching cuz it was entertaining.
Then when they said the dev died, and praise as if he was god and all. I was like "wait, didn't the warning said sth about "insect"? And welp lol and behold the last pit of the video.
It felt like a padory video about influencer as a whole, about how much praise people would be when someone did sth great (by accident or not) till everything came down that the person they liked to be a POS.
Or I'm just overthinking. Like everyone was for the fictional dev in the video

@Bluetooth_Pepsi: I’m sobbing

@azazellon: It is, "DOORbell". the "ö" makes that noise. OO.

@surrealminecraftmore3056: Video games...

@cedricappleby2006: Video games.

@Ratmonger4500: what the fuck was that ending
HE IS ACTUALY HIM
???
THIS IS PEAK

@bagulho5501: "video games" -splat, seconds before splatting

@Pinwheelsystem: This reminds me of The Beginners Guide, which, coincidentally, I just played.

@Tinfoilcrabhat: Well shit, splat went splat.

@wolfiqwokami: Yall are telling this ISNT REAL???
Edit: Okay this isn't real, but what did i just experience??

@ItzTheRetiredMemelord: shouldve known this was a joke when there were no advertisements while it said there was lol

@FlantisFroggu: least schizo youtube video

@lopidav: Sizzling Platter is gonna be so confused

@DaneScholz-jp4gt: This reminds me of that one smiling friends review of any of you know what I’m talking about

@Radi8on: Lol at the constant bashing of Junjo's Quest. A video too cringingly pedestrian to even finish -- clearly another lategame Splatlander parroting the opinions of everybody else in their troupe. People like you are the reason prospective titles like Junjo's Quest 2 never had a chance in the first place.

@Doedspajen: video games.

@smoocharoo: Splat has always been an enigmatic presence within game dev. Heartbreaking story, I commend your efforts to immortalize it and weave humor into this harrowing tale while still paying respect to such a visionary.

@themysterious_taria: why did I realize this was fake only when he started reading the fucking reviews after splat's death

@Bluetooth_Pepsi: The fact this is so underrated is killing me

@Guywhosaysstuff: Thats quite an ominous thumbnail and title

@sillypicklee: THAT WAS CINEMATIC

@rehfeuge: 12:50 smh jerma beat him to it. Splat couldn't even be original...

@jacksonbrown1830: chat skill issue

@peppercraftyt5346: Can you upload the soundtrack of this video pls

@two__st: video games !

@coolPWNR: im going to do this , to follow in a Gods footprints, i will Splat, i will, Splat

@e_floatingclown141: this is peak youtube

@coolPWNR: cant believe online piracy is a trigger warning now

@chillgaming6969: peak youtube, absolute cinema

@WindowGoblin-i8n: I… dont know how to feel…

Amazing video tho :D

@MAKO_S.V.4: what the fuck did i just watch?????
i'm now even more confuse??

Confuse in the beginning and still confuse in the end

@Shagadelic: yeah i had to tab in at 10 minutes cause i thought this was the dumbest shit ive ever heard. bravo, you got me

@messed-up8625: Bruh what i swear im so confused

@shr00mii: 19:19 for sata andagi

@Jackzill4: I fucking cried to this, what the fuck have you done

@user-io3po5eq6s: I didn't understand the video after i rewached it like 3 hours later, im lowkey stupid but i asked myself for 3 hours 1 question, is this guy really splat? This is something that splat looks he would do but it just feels wrong, i realized how false it was after rewatching

@PilotTechnonomicon: Video games! :D

@AmazuRazu: art.

@ZSquaredPlusC: LOG 2 - 4/4/2025
Took way to long to get off my bum and write this...

spoilers for the video, do not continue reading unless you have watched to the end

.

In the universe of this video, Splat didn't just make one game and ki[ it's unnaturally quiet ]ll himself because of it immediately. He made over a dozen. But since making a fully-fledged game for each wouldn't really benefit the video all that much, some are only briefly mentioned to exist, particularly at the scrolling shot at 1:33. But among the games that have no details given to them, one sticks out as being a bit different, and mentioned a few more times than the others.

Junjo's Quest seems to be a 2D platformer, with pixelated graphics that are noticeably above the usual effort level of Splat's other work.

The first mention of Junjo's quest is in the scrolling shot, at 1:57. The text below it is noticeably longer, but is illegible. Likely an actual out-of-universe accident, but it happens to fit the theme anyway. The only thing I can make out is that says it is usually overlooked.
Seconds later, when Douger says "there are no grand adventures" at 2:03, text pops up saying "Not true for Junjo's Quest", implying it is a larger game than Splat's other work.
Later, when Douger says "The man did release 14 genre-defying masterpieces", text pops up saying "
Excluding Junjo's Quest".
At 6:19, a forum member hopes that the countdown doesn't lead to another Junjo's Quest. People don't like this game, it seems.
The only other mention of Junjo's Quest is at the end where they announce "JUNJOS QUEST 2 JUNJOS REVENGE".
I might have missed a few mentions of the game, if anyone finds one I didn't mention please tell me.

Unlike the ant and the magnifying glass detail I talked about yesterd-- a week ago, this detail has a relatively easy-to-see intended meaning. The video is about how Splat's audience is caught up in all of the small meaningless games he made, so of course they will ignore the one game he actually put effort into (it would seem). While the intended meaning likely ends there, I feel I should take this little 'Junjo's Quest' detail as a lesson not to disregard part of an artist's body of work just because it doesn't exactly align with what I find interesting about them.

On my channel (this isn't me shouting myself out, this is relevant here) I talk about weird geometry dash levels I find, and a few years ago I showcased a level called 'confusion maze' by the creator 'thearmyants'. This was back in late 2022 when they didn't have the technical skill they have today and so the level was very interesting to me. The actual details you can go look at yourself but the point is they would go on to make a very popular level called 'how to platformer', and you can see the interests that would eventually make that level in the old level.

But, thearmyants continued to make work after that which I haven't really looked closely at because his technical skill and standards in polish had increased, and that made the levels less interesting to me. (That sounds weird to say out of context, but I prefer when art is weird rather than polished to perfection.) I feel this little 'Junjo's Quest' detail is lightly calling me out for the times I've dismissed art like this, and I'm going to actively be more appreciative of artists even when they change from the initial thing that caught my eye.

@justincruz8050: wtf does it mean to weep from both ends

@blankii333: Absolute cinema

@amazon-alexa1984: This was incredible storytelling

@Testbot379: Those "me at 3 AM" jokes are too real

@TheFunkyWood: Peak creepypasta

@Synthulhu: Holy fuck this is brilliant.

@stanford_pines: loop loop loop🗣🗣🗣

@saadahtsham7: HOLY SHIT I WAS SO SCARED THAT THIS WAS REAL AND U WERE CASUALLY JOKING ABOUT A GUY WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE???

@lilychavez6023: I was there when it happened. Rip Splat, he was one of the best of us

@epicgamerswag-k3l: you where can I find these games

@lenargilmanov7893: But I really wanted to hear about a game that killed its creator... 😔

@ZombieFighter95: Some weirdo in the comments is claiming this guy is a nazi, does anyone have more info on that?

@czlowiek51872: online piracy . i dont know if i can take that its too much for me

@3NTR4PT4: wheres tally hall

@miguelgarciasuarez2506: how do i move on from this? what the fuck this i just came across on a Saturday morning?

@BooferdBS: But how? Games can’t do that.

@OkayIGuessss: This has nothing to do with jack stauber

@yipYIP-yip1: 16:33 started sounding like flumpty (yes i am aware of the cons that happened.)

@RadioactiveBluePlatypus: ⚠DON'T READ THIS COMMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED WATCHING THIS VIDEO!⚠

That is such a compelling work of fiction. It's so like, unlike anything else on youtube. It's such a carefully written horror story! Honestly I wish I hadn't tried to look up info about this or looked at the comments, I wish I had experienced the ending of this video blind.

For the sake of this story, I will not try to interpret the themes of this work. I think it's pretty clear I'm not supposed to, just like the characters in the story tried to find meaning in these games where there was none. Of course I know the details in the video were probably crafted with a lot of intent. I'm not saying there's nothing to it, just that I assume it's better experienced when you just let it exsist in your mind and don't try to explain it to yourself, kinda like Tony Domenico's works.

Fascinating video, 10/10.
