"Why am I...alone...?"
"Wait, that's right! The rest of the council is away on vacation, yeah!"
"Umm...where was it they were...vacationing to again...?"
"Well, I'm sure it doesn't matter, as long as they're having fun."
"Maybe I should call one of them!"
"One of...them..."
"W-What were their names again...?"
"There's...three of us, right? No, four. Right?"
"The one with red hair...and the one with..."
"W-What color is my hair...? I have the same as my mother, I think?"
"My...mother..."
"What does she...look like..."
"I...I-I...I can't remember..."
"What do...I...look l-like?"
"........."
"Why am I...alone...?"

She sat huddled in a stranger's room, littered with a stranger's belongings. She had woken up out of someone's bed only hours prior but knew not where she was.
"Mumei...Mumei...Mumei..."
Rocking herself, knees to her chest, she repeated the name like a mantra.
Photographs of people adorned the shelves and night stand of the room; a group of strangers, smiling, laughing, mocking.
She was scared, terrified. Scared of forgetting it all, though even that she could not recall. She was alone, paralyzed, shivering in perpetual fear of something she could not remember.
"Mumei...Mumei...Mumei..."
The fear was next to all she had left.
"Mumei...Mumei...Mumei..."
She clung to the solitary name as though it was her very breath. She had to. She couldn't forget it.
"Mumei...Mumei..."
She grasped at the word. She had to. She couldn't forget it.
"Mumei..."
She grasped at the word. She had to.
"Who..."
She grasped at something.
"Who's...Mumei...?"
