Yes, I did a search so don't even try it. I found tons of links/videos on how to remove a battery out of an E90 but if you own a E93 you know it is different. You have to remove tons of plugs and screws in order to get to the battery and I don't want to break anything. Anyone have a pic or simple steps on the RIGHT way to remove the battery? I can do it, just don't want to break anything in the process.
Thanks in advance.

Hey.. I'm sorry if this sounds a bit cryptic.. I don't have pic's right now, so I'm describing this from memory.
- There is a black plastic cover over some of the convertible components on both sides of the trunk - near the front. It covers up some tubular steel. You'll want to remove the right hand side one (on the battery side). Do this by turning a small lock knob on the lower right hand bottom of it. Next, from the top middle push it out towards the back seat of your car. It has a locking clip towards the top that needs to release. Once this is done, it should come off.
- Along the right hand side fender, pop all of those plastic connectors out that are holding everything in place. There is a soft grey rubber piece towards the top corner behind the tail light that will come off. Once you pop the plastic connector, swing it out from that side (it's got hinges that go behind the liner on its right hand side). Once it's pulled away on the plastic connector side, you should be able to pull it out. You need to pull it towards you since it has hinges on the other side.
- Open up the small storage compartment on the right hand side and give a half turn to all of those screw connectors to release them. That will release the storage tray from the trunk side liner. If memory serves, you should now be able to remove that whole liner cover. Doing so will leave you with the black storage tray. Just lift up the storage tray and you'll see the battery.
I can snap some pictures of what I'm talking about later tonight if you need more detail.
Looking at the trunk at first it seems like an awful lot of work, but in reality, it's not that bad.

Haha, you're welcome.. Glad you got it apart successfully. It's difficult to explain without pictures.

Hi Scott, I came to the same problem. But I am slow, I got lost at step 1, "Next, from the top middle push it out towards the back seat of your car. It has a locking clip towards the top that needs to release. Once this is done, it should come off." Can you please take some pics if you don't mind? Thank you very much in advance.

I am pretty sure you don't need to remove the plastic piece in step 1 - I never have had to , to get to the battery. The trim piece that it is in the way of will bend easily enough to go around it. Wish I had some pics for you - first time I did it, it probably took me an hour or more, second time, more like 10 minutes!
