Generate Image
Options
Guidance
Description
A short description of what you want the tool to generate.
Negative description
A description of what should not be in the image. This option is only visible when advanced options is checked.
Use view and direction
When enabled tries to control the view and direction of the output.
The view weakly controls the height of the camera. The following options are available:
- none: Don't try to guide towards any specific view.
- low top-down: Looking down at approximately a 30-45 degree angle.
- high top-down: Looking down at approximately a 45-60 degree angle.
- side: Sidescroller view.
The direction weakly controls the direction of the character. The following options are available:
- none: Don't try to guide towards any specific direction.
- north: Facing away from the camera.
- east: Facing right.
- south: Facing the camera.
- west: Facing left.
Tip: The view and direction controls are quite weak in this tool and you can often get better results if you also use an init image. You can also try adding an extra keyword to the description. For example when trying to generate a woman with glasses facing right, adding an extra descriptor to your prompt like woman with glasses in profile
might provide better results.
Tip: In many cases the west and east cases are redundant since the generated image can be flipped in Aseprite.
Guidance weight
Controls how much the model will try to follow the instruction. If it is overdone then the image can get artifacts like over-saturation. This option is only visible when advanced options is checked.
Color
Limit colors used
Weakly controls the color palette of the generated image. The options are:
- No: don't force any particular palette.
- Color palette: limit the colors to the current palette in Aseprite.
- Current image: limit the colors to the selected image's palette.
Init image
Instead of starting from scratch an init image can be provided for the model. This can often yeild a better result and can often be an effective way to guide the model in terms of colors used, perspective etc.
When using an init image the slider for init image strength will appear. This controls how much noise is added before the generation starts. Here are some general guidelines.
- 0-300: Useful for extremely rough color guidance
- 300-400: Rough guidance of shapes and colors. Useful if you want to sketch rough colors blobs of approximately where you want things to be.
- 400-600: Medium guidance of shapes and colors. Useful if you want to create variations on an existing image.
- 600-900: Detailed guidance of shapes and colors. Useful when adding details or slightly modifying a nearly finished piece.
General
Remove background
When using, the model will generate images with transparent backgrounds.
Seed
The seed of the model's random number generator. Reusing the same seed will, if no other options are changed, provide very similar output. To have a random seed, use the value 0. This option is only visible when advanced options is checked.
Advanced options
When selected the following options are visible in the tool:
- [[Generate image documentation#Negative description|Negative description]]
- [[Generate image documentation#Guidance weight|Guidance weight]]
- [[Generate image documentation#Seed|Seed]]
