"Ahhh... so, the Church requires this old fool's services once again, do they? Very well. Let's make this quick."
Born 700 years ago as Pietro Rainalducci, Lanzo is fundamentally a fool who lost. Rebelling against the Holy Church by becoming a Dead Apostle with aid from Louis the Bavarian, he attempted to create a 'more just Church' and dueled against Cardinal Orsini time and time again, in his goal to assassinate the Pope and replace him.
Despite his support, he eventually fell in battle, and his allies were eradicated.
Kept as an assest for the Holy Church and having his name changed to prevent people from asking questions, Lanzo de Luna is closely monitored and deployed in only the most dire circumstances.
His Idea Blood "Antipope" functions as a copy technique; any 'Noble Phantasm-esque' ability can be copied by him in his Reality Marble, but he can only have one ability copied at a time. Furthermore, the ability becomes the reverse of whatever the opponent had; someone with a fire ability would see their technique used as cold against them, for instance.
A Holy Seal is bound upon his heart that will detonate if he acts out, immediately killing him.
Deeply competitive, he seeks to prove himself the best among any Dead Apostle or Priest, and has been 'paired' with Maniac, an Animal Spirit. He hates him, and wishes to prove himself superior- he'll fight him if he goes haywire just so he has an excuse.
