MY FAV PRODUCEEERS gosh I can't even like list them in a top 10 fashion or whatever because I could never choose one over the other.
First I suppose is Maretu! I think I've been following his works for the longest time, maybe since around 2017? The heavy guitar, powerful lyrics and chiptune melodies always get me (fun fact, I think I might be the biggest fan of his instrumental album "Fried Eye", I don't think a lot of his fans even know it exists xD. I just saw it release on spotify one day and became obsessed! I still listen to it rather often :3 ) Other than that, some of my favorite songs are Girl Eraser (TOP 10 FAVS OF ALL TIME I think), Pink (recent-ish), The Taste of Cockroach (pretty catchy!) or Sanjou.
OH I'VE ALSO REALLY LIKED MASA WORKS DESIGN FOR A LONG TIME. Maybe around the same time/a little later than Maretu? His onibi series and other darker works are what first captivated me as an edgy little teen and I found myself really enjoying his hyperpop music as well, and I think that miiight be the reason I still like hyperpop to this day (or it's ADHD and the love of really fast energetic music). His songs can get kinda raunchy at times but I still love the bumpin music as well as the more sinister, sort of traditional stories he weaves. And of course love his use of traditional japanese instruments mixed with more modern, synthesized sounds in some of his music. I think my favorites would have to be Fox's Wedding, Outburn Kamikaze, London Haze Casablanca (recently obsessed, when the video came out), annd perhaps Ban Nen? But I think I like the old version better than the remaster o.o
OKAY I also really like Kikuo, I love the way he's not afraid to experiment with the sounds of his music and it's led to some really beautiful stuff in my opinion. I think out of all these producers I mentioned he has to be my absolute favorite as of the past few years. His music covers a lot of bases, from soft and dreamlike to heavy and oppressive, he creates such a unique atmosphere in every song and it's very hard not to get sucked into each one of them. I think every kikuo miku album is such a unique and surreal experience because of this. It's so hard to recommend any one song because of this, however, I suppose I do have my favorites, like Corpse March, Mawaru, Cat's Dining Table, and Hoshikuzu no Soujifu (such a beautiful song that's like a lullaby to me)
AND I THINK THOSE ARE MY BIGGEST 3 Otherwise I really like (in no particular order,) Hachi's work as a producer, Kairiki Bear, PinocchioP, Utsu-P, Wowaka, Nilfruits and cosMo-P (I think I've spoken so much on the topic I shan't dare bring up my favorite albums or songs from each)
