Dungeon Renovation ch4-2
p1
We'll go with the Slippery Smooth Strategy!
Slippery smooth?
I thought of a bunch of things, but this should get the job done the quickest.
Ecology and Breeding of Reptiles
Van der Waals forces, brought about by tiny hairs on their feet.
That's the reason geckos can climb all over walls... apparently.
Ah~
If there's a chance that thing's using the same principle...
p2
it should slip and fall if we cover it in oil.
I don't really get it, but
we just need to throw this stuff at it, right?
Wrong answer, musclehead!
We don't wanna agitate it by accident, so we'll save that as a last resort.
We need to be a little more stealthy.
So we'll be using these!
p3
And these are?
PVC pipes. We'll connect them together and pour the oil through them.
Hmm.
They're so light...
Urk. That's a weak reaction...
Yeah, it's pretty boring, I know! I did have other ideas, y'know?
Like building a tower out of high voltage washing machines!
But it'd be bad if the sound gave us away~
Why does she look so frustrated?
Grr...
But you really are amazing, Maho.
p4
Even with all these different tools,
you know everything about what to use and how to go about using it.
You're really reliable.
Ehehe~ You think so? Well, I wouldn't say I know everything.
Maybe about 90%?
Ah, she's back to normal.
Okay, let's put this plan into action!
Yeah!
p5
First, the prep work.
We connect the pipes until they're long enough
and wrap them in sponge to silence them.
Next.
We'll put the oil in here and scoop it out with pumps.
How much should we carry?
About five of the 200L ones, I guess? ...It's gonna be a pain, though.
That's what I thought, but the acclimatization made it a piece of cake.
I'm really growing!
p6
We put the oil in the drum cans and set up the pumps.
Then push out the pipes above the gecko like support beams.
Just to be safe, we'll tie them to some weights with rope.
This'll prevent them from moving around or falling down.
And for the finishing touch, we'll use Fiona's plan too!
A bunch of water balloons that've been filled with oil using a syringe.
Our ultimate weapon just in case.
p7
Okay. That should do it.
I panicked a little when you almost sneezed though, Maho.
Ah...
Ah-bmmph
I can't do anything physiological phenomenons, okay?
Despite that, it's showing no signs of movement.
I'm guessing it's not expecting an attack to come from where the exit is.
...
Well then, shall we?
Yeah... No problem.
Switch on!
p8
...
...It's not moving.
I thought it'd fall out of disgust,
but I guess it won't move unless its prey comes or it's attacked directly?
Let's wait a little longer.
p9
We're all out... Should I switch to the reserve supply?
Hmm~...
...No!
It's already soaked in oil.
We've come this far, so let's attack it directly!
Time for our ultimate weapon!
Let's get throwing!
Roger!
p10
...
?
p11
It moved!
It's super effective! Keep throwing!
Take...
Reseve
Eh?
THIS!
p12
...Ah.
It's looking this way...
HYAAAAAAAAH!
Oh crap...
p13
Tokeiiiiiii
p14
W-We're saved...?
Wait a second and we'll see...
Oh!
There it is! My body's all hot like it's on fire...!
Ah, I see! The acclimatization is proof that it's been defeated!
...Which means...
p15
We did it! It worked!
I was worried for a moment, but it worked like a charm!
Hahahahaha!
Eh!?
p16
...Seriously?
Ah, over there!
There's a door on the far end!
I've never heard of this before...
Maybe that thing was a boss we had to beat to get the door to open.
But with this,
the room of darkness has been cleared!
Onto the next floor!
What awaits them on the next floor...?
