"Then, all phenomena that confront her will seem meaningless and disconnected, and her own Ego will break apart into a series of impressions that are unrelated to each other or to anything else"
<Conduction Form>
"Yes, there is peace. There is no tendency of any kind, much less any observation, feeling, or impression. There is only a faint awareness, like the fragrance of jasmine." <Conduit Connection>
"The body of the Seer lies in a waking sleep that is deeper than sleep, and her mind is still; he resembles a well in the desert, shaded by windless palms."
<Radiant Wave Conduction>
"And it is night; because the night encompasses the entire expanse of space, not just the limited night of Earth, there is no thought of dawn. For the light of the Sun creates an illusion, blinding man's eyes to the glory of the stars."
<Reified Champion>
"Unless he is in the shadow of the Earth, he cannot see the stars. Similarly, unless he is shielded from the light of life, he cannot behold Nuit. Here, then, I remain in unchanging midnight, completely at peace."
<Medium Sublimation>
"I’ve forgotten where I am and who I am. I am suspended in nothingness.
Now the veil opens of itself"
<Encompassing World Avatar>
The woman stood now, her bodys surface churning unnaturally with excessive energy stored within as the labryinths of her aura passages filled and expanded into the air around her from every cell, every pore and every molecule of her being. Steam escaped with each breath and she dropped her hands which had been performing complex sigils at she spoke the litany of her own creation. Not happy with simply evoking the tried and true methods - It had to be her own. She smoothed her noble finery with gloved hands, particularly dusting off the knees of her trousers. It wouldn't do to continue a hunt without looking her best. The intense glow of her eyes penetrated even the ocular coverings she wore while on the job.
In the distance her prey abruptly looked up and in her direction. The aura around her called to it on a primordial level. A hunger that threatened to consume its meager intelligence arose at the purity of it, the delicious potency, the sheer volume... Strands of slobber dangled from its mouth as it broke into an abrupt run which flung them in every direction.
And yet the Distored Mirage simply stood and waited patiently, the only movement being to carefully remove her weighted gloves and place them in a equally high quality satchel at her side which was specifically enchanted to negate their weight. "It is not your actions that I condemn you for, but those of your creator who instilled this hunger within you to ensure you would fight." She spoke knowing full well it couldn't comprehend anymore if it could to begin with. Something in her aura sent the chimera into a frenzy without fail, perhaps it was alike to whatever foe their masters had originally designed them to counter.
The Raptor - Large as a Jade Lion pounced forward with its claws extended and a screech escaping its throat. Each talon could be considered a sword. It did not use techniques but that didn't mean one should underestimate it. It simply meant that all the aura it created and absorbed from unlucky travelers was put into reinforcing its already formidible figure.
She wasn't a bookish type though, she was considered quite the talent in both Core Refining Techniques and the esoteric Phase Perception leading to time slowing to a crawl as she simply took two steps to the side. As the beast passed her she lashed out with a fist...And it went right through the beasts flesh and struck at the very core of its being. Her aura struck its meager pool and shore a piece cleanly off with sheer force. Not the same result against human practitioners who were much more in control of their Aura and held it more tightly.
A tail whipped out with suprising speed, but it fell short compared to her meticulous preparation. Her body moved independent of thought and skipped the miniscule moment of time between React and Action causing it to hit only air as the beast turned around. She raised a hand with a sigh that forced steam through the mask covering her face "I overestimated you, may your soul find peace if you have one." she said before a concentrated beam of aura launched forward slicing clean through its body and its Aura alike, putting the beast to a mercifully quick death. She refused to play around with something this weak and torture it further.
She carefully put her gloves back on and returned to the guild - hoping for a more substantial hunt. The rumors of a strange tamer showed some promise atleast...Atleast this had been enough of a workout to awaken her combat flow. She no longer moved stiffly like a noble but with the gaint of a predator hunting prey. It wouldn't do to look anything but her most powerful infront of the other hunters. She was a founding member afterall.
She tugged down her mask and placed a handkerchief to her mouth before coughing wetly into it, carefully folding its now crimson stained side into the center and returning it to a pocket.
