APRIL SOURCE SYSTEM

A system to communicate how connected to your source you are! Intended for systems but can 100% be used by fictionkins and whoever else!
This system does not follow canon, if you have traumatic memories of your source that are not canon within the story you can still relate with L! if you have romantic memories involving a ship that isn't canon you can still relate with R! This applies to every letter!

A - APPEARANCE

• Do you feel a connection to the appearance of this character/feel like you should look like them? (for fictives: do you look like them in headspace or take any aspects of their appearance?)

P - PERSONALITY

• Do you relate to their personality? Do you feel you act similarly to how they would act? (or how you percieve they would)? Do you talk like them or copy their mannerisms at all (intentionally or otherwise)

R - RELATIONSHIPS

• Do you have memories of other people from your source? Do you feel romantic/platonic/familial/etc connections with anyone from your source?

I - IDENTITY

• Do you personally identify with / as this character? Do you feel that they are an integral part of your identity or that you (perhaps literally) are them to a degree? Are you heavily attached to them or feel that they are you / you are them?

L - LIFE

• Do you have any memories of their everyday life or childhood? Any memories of any trauma they've experienced? Do you remember living in their enviroment or experiencing their story?

HOW TO WRITE

Method A

• Rate each letter on a scale of of 1-5, and then write them in order. (optionally, put the letter of each in front of the number! This may make it look a bit cluttered, though.)

EXAMPLE: 52301
EXAMPLE W/ LETTERS: A5P2R3I061

Method B

Similar to the SLOAN system, things you relate to the most get capitalized while things you relate to the least are lowercase. If you don't relate at all, you can put an X. You can also add lines (|x|) around the letter you relate to the most and dashes (/x/) around second most.

EXAMPLE: ApRiL
EXAMPLE W/ LINES: |A|pRi/L/
