CW // CHRONIC INSOMNIA, SLEEP PARALYSIS, CHEATING, MANIPULATION.

GOD. MOTHER. FATHER. PLEASE LET ME SLEEP.

Once upon a time, I followed a man into a forest with bloody tree, where every branch glittered with velvet fluids. There, he taught me; “There is a thin line between love and obedience, Emilio. If you love me so much, then you must be obedient for me.”

I believed him, of course I do. I was merely a foolish, after all. Thus, he said again; “It is certainly okay for friends to kiss, Emilio. Stop being so dramatic.”

When his betrayal finally bloomed, it unfolded like a black rose, staining the snow at my feet.

After him, sleep abandoned my bedside and left only a narrow stair descending into shadow. Each time I closed my eyes, I returned to that forest—bark split and sap darkened. From the roots of those trees something vast began to crawl, assembling itself from splinters of memory. It wore his smile like a porcelain mask, flawlessly and disgustingly luminous in the dark. Its hands were long and pale, stitched from every accusation he once pressed against my throat.

The creature said; “Where do you think you're going, Emilio? Who do you think you are, Emilio? Where is your obedience, Emilio? Do you think you can love anyone else, Emilio? Wake up, Emilio. WAKE UP. WAKE UP. WAKE UP. WAKE UP.”

I just want to sleep.

I heard, the fragrance of roses are good for sleep.

Rose, please cradle me to sleep.
