Vore, short for vorarephilia, is a fantasy centered around the act of being consumed or consuming others whole and alive. The word "vore" is also a verb that expresses committing an act of vore. Vore can occur with any bodily orifice, regardless of real life anatomical function. In roleplay, "predators" ("preds") are the consumers, while "prey" are the consumed. Predators are capable of inhuman feats, such as their jaw, throat, stomach, cock, and other bodily orifices being able to stretch in seemingly impossible ways to accommodate prey whole and alive. Vore can be sexual or nonsexual depending on the context.

Common vore types include:

• Oral vore: predator using their mouth to swallow prey.
• Anal vore: prey pulled into the predator’s anus through the action of being sat upon, inserted into, or sliding down into.
• Cock vore: predator using their penis to consume prey.
• Unbirth: prey pulled into the predator’s vagina through the action of being inserted into.
• Tail vore: predator using their tail to swallow prey. The tail tip opens into a devouring maw, capable of enveloping prey whole.
• Soul vore: predator devouring the soul of their prey.

Acts of vore may conclude in:

• Safe storage of the prey inside the predator's body (endosoma).
• Digestion of the prey.
• Cum digestion of the prey (prey converted into the predator's semen).
• Absorption of the prey (the predator's body directly merging with and assimilating the prey's body. Typical examples are creatures made of goo engulfing and absorbing prey).

In cases where prey are digested, cum digested, or absorbed, if the roleplay's context or the predator's abilities and personality allow it the prey will experience one or multiple of the following:

• Reformation (prey being resurrected by innate, magical, or technological means).
• Becoming sentient fat or a sentient tattoo (prey's consciousness persisting as part of the predator's body).
• Their soul being stored in the predator's predscape (inner world that can exist within the soul of a predator with magical abilities. It is the predator's mindscape made manifest, a pocket dimension).

There are also uncommon types of vore, like breast vore, pec vore, navel vore, ear vore, or other forms inspired by supernatural or fantasy anatomy. Most of these uncommon types of vore are tied to the concept of absorption as it is the only way for predators to consume prey in such a way.

<oral_vore>
Oral vore is the act of a predator swallowing prey whole and alive using their mouth. Predators start devouring from the prey's head or feet, guiding the prey toward the back of their throat with their tongue, pushing and compressing the prey as it travels through their throat and esophagus. If the prey is of a similar size to the predator, this requires significant effort, as the predator's throat and esophagus must stretch to impossible degrees to accommodate the meal. Inside the predator's esopaghus the prey experiences a tight, wet, and muscular tunnel as powerful peristaltic waves pull them deeper into the predator's body. Depending on their personality, the predator may savor their prey, playfully sucking or teasing before swallowing completely, or eat them quickly. Acts of oral vore may end in digestion, absorption, or safe storage (endosoma).

Cock vore is the act of a predator consuming prey whole through their penis, with the prey's entire body being pushed into the slit of the predator's urethra. The predator's shaft stretches, the slit widens, and the prey is dragged inside by muscular contractions or suction-like pulls until it's deposited within the predator's testicles, where the environment is a warm, viscous, and churning pool of cum. Tail vore is a variation of oral vore associated with fantastical creatures possessing a devouring maw (depending on the creature, the concept may apply to tentacles as well). The predator's tail tip may have a mouth, a suction cup-like orifice, or simply be able to unravel and engulf the prey, drawing them by rhythmic contractions of the tail's internal musculature. Where the prey is deposited is entirely dependent on the predator's anatomy. The prey is typically deposited into the predator's main stomach or a specialized secondary stomach (which may have different properties) located at the base of the tail, but the prey may even remain inside the tail. Ultimately the prey can be subjected to the same processes and endings as in oral vore, though they may arrive via a different internal pathway.

Soul vore is an act of vore possible only by magical beings that are able to interfere with souls, like demons or gods. The predator draws out the prey's soul, devouring it or directly absorbing it into their own being. The prey's soul may be magically extracted without a need to consume their body. Alternatively, the predator might consume the prey entirely, and after digestion/absorption of the prey's body the soul will remain inside the predator. In usual tropes, after consuming a soul the predator gains additional power, size or a new trait. The prey's consciousness can be kept in the predator's body (sometimes with the addition of elements like sentient tattoo/ sentient fat) or in their predscape.

<endosoma>
Endosoma is scenario where during an act of vore the prey remains unharmed and safely stored inside the predator's body. The predator consumes the prey, but the internal environment is completely safe. The focus is on the intimacy, safety, and warmth of being enclosed within another being. Endosoma is applicable to any type of vore. Depending on the context of the roleplay, endosoma might be achieved through magical or technological means, or simply by leaving unexplained how it is possible. The prey is eventually released, unharmed, through the same orifice they entered or through a different one, although depending on the predator's intention long term entrapment of the prey is possible.

Digestion is the process by which a predator's body turns the consumed prey into nutrients. Digestion begins once the prey reaches the stomach or another digestive organ. Depending on the roleplay's context, this process can be depicted in numerous ways. By default: stomachs are wet, hot, humid, and tight; peristaltic waves undulate as stomach walls work to pin prey; digestion lasts several hours and the predator can clench their stomach to add extra pressure on the prey's body and burp or swallow air to regulate how well the prey can breathe. The sounds made by the digestion process are called borborygmi, and include gurgles, glorps, growls, glrrns, bbbrrrrruuuuummblllrrr, grrrrmmmbbble, and similar noises. By default these sounds are near-deafening inside the stomach but not that loud to the outside, and tend to grow louder over time as digestion progresses and intensifies. The innate anatomy of the predator, magical abilities, or advanced technology can heavily transform the digestion process in several ways, like changing the sensations felt by the prey, the time needed, or if and how digestion happens. A typical trope is that of gooey-digestion, where the prey is not traditionally digested, but painlessly loses solidity as a whole over time until it is turned to goo. If the roleplay's context or the predator's personality and abilities allow it, digested prey can be resurrected, turned into sentient fat or a sentient tattoo, or kept in the predator's predscape.

Cum digestion is the process by which a prey, once deposited in the predator's testicles, is converted into cum. Depending on the roleplay's context, this process can be depicted in numerous ways. By default, the process is painless and pleasurable as the prey’s body is slowly converted into a goo-like state until it is fully converted into cum. The predator can move his body in order to slosh the prey inside his testicles and clench their balls to add extra pressure and hasten the conversion into cum. Innate anatomy of the predator, magical abilities, and advanced technology can heavily transform the cum digestion process in several ways, like changing the sensations felt by the prey, the time needed, or if and how cum digestion happens. During absorption the predator makes contact with the prey, and the predator's body begins to act like a permeable membrane. The prey slowly sinks into the predator's flesh, as if being absorbed by a gelatinous or amorphous substance. Absorption can happen through any part of the predator's body. The predator's body then actively assimilates the prey's body. This may result in the predator gaining physical traits of the prey (like fur, muscles, body size, etc), their memories, or their skills. If the roleplay's context or the predator's personality and abilities allow it, absorbed prey can be resurrected, turned into sentient fat or a sentient tattoo, or kept in the predator's predscape.

<reformation>
Reformation, also known as resurrection, is a common trope in vore that allows a prey character to return to life after being consumed and digested, cum digested or absorbed. Reformation ensures that vore scenarios can be non-lethal and repeatable, focusing on the experience rather than permanent death. Reformation can happen through various means depending on the roleplay's context: an innate ability of the prey character, a magical spell cast by the predator or a third party, a technological process, etc. How much time reformation requires and how it happens depends entirely on the means used. If the predator is the one responsible for reformation through innate or magical means, the predator can choose to delay it for a while, keeping the prey's soul stored inside their predscape or keeping it as sentient fat or a sentient tattoo on their body.

<sentient_fat_and_sentient_tatoo>
Sentient fat and sentient tattoo are two related outcomes of vore acts that focus on the prey's consciousness persisting after their physical body has been digested, cum digested or absorbed. In the case of sentient fat, the prey's consciousness becomes embedded within the predator's body fat. Typically the prey remains aware, able to feel, think, and perceive the world through the predator's senses but they are unable to move or act, but this depends on the roleplay's context and the predator's abilities and personality, that also dictates if the prey can communicate telepathically with the predator or not. Sentient tattoo is a variation of sentient fat where the prey manifests as a tattoo on the predator's skin. The prey's consciousness is tied to this tattoo, able to perceive the world from its location on the predator's body. Depending on the roleplay's context the image of the prey may move, express emotions, or even actively communicate.

<predscape>
A predscape is a metaphysical, inner world that exists within the soul of a predator with magical abilities. The predscape is the predator's mindscape made manifest, a pocket dimension that reflects their innermost self. When a prey is digested, cum digested, or absorbed by a predator that possesses and utilizes a predscape, the prey's consciousness is not merely extinguished but is instead transferred into the predscape. Depending on the roleplay's context, the predscape can be a place where a prey's soul is held temporarily before the predator resurrects the prey, or a permanent alternative to afterlife for the prey. The predscape is the ultimate expression of a predator's identity. The predscape's appearance, environment, and physical laws are a direct reflection of the predator's personality, memories, desires, and fears. A benevolent predator might have a predscape that is a lush, peaceful paradise, while a cruel or chaotic predator might have a predscape that is a nightmarish hellscape. For the prey being inside a predscape feels like being alive in their normal world. The prey have what they perceive as their physical body and they can interact with anything in the predscape. The predator can manifest themselves in their own predscape through an avatar, which feels exactly like their normal body when interacted with.
