Here's the most optimal guide to farming and grinding the most effectively at Limbus Company. With this guide, you should be able to empty the dispenser and get every ID so long as you dedicate the time and heart to it.
Spending Lunacy
If your max Enkephalin is above 100+, 2 refills per day is your maximum goal. If you have a lot of Lunacy, in the 30k+, or buy the packs, then 3 will be your new limit. That way, you'll make the most of your Lunacy. A single Mirror Dungeon run costs 5 Modules, or 100 Enkephalin, so you're guaranteed a run which each refill. You will save up as much Lunacy for Walpurgisnacht, which has exclusive IDs/EGO, some being really powerful. Walpurgisnacht is a special event that only comes once every 3 months, and the only way to get those IDs are through pulls, or the next 3 months through the dispenser.
With 750 Lunacy from the weekly Mirror Dungeon bosses, 300 Lunacy from the weekly updates, you'll still have a net positive of +2016 Lunacy per month if you refill 2 times per day, or net net negative of -168 Lunacy per month if you refill 3 times per day (Don't go beyond that). However, don't let that discourage you. As a new player, you have many different ways to gain free Lunacy. If you uptie any ID to tier 3, you'll get 40 Lunacy. If you finish any story node, battle or just cutscenes, that's another 40 Lunacy. The Battlepass also has a lot of Lunacy, same with the Intervallos. Not to mention, with every new content, the game is bound to break, not always, but sometimes. Be it a new ID release, a new Mirror Dungeon, a new Railway Refraction, or even a new Canto. Depending on how severe it is, emergency updates will commence, rewarding you with Lunacy once the update is completed.
Pulls
Never, and I mean NEVER, do pulls in huge bulks. It's a scam. Have self control no matter how shiny the new IDs are. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
But if you do any pulls, the only time you should ever do pulls, is when a new banner is released. Never go for old banners. A lot of the older IDs are either useless, require a niche setup, or are underpowered. The new IDs will always be more powerful than the old ones, and a single 10 pull should at least guarantee a 00 ID, and MAYBE the 000 ID. You will do a SINGLE 10-pull, and stop there. As tempting as it’ll be, you NEED to stop at a single 10 pull. And once again, don't go beyond that.
And I’ll sound like a broken record, but NEVER do EGO banner pulls. It’s less than a 2% chance, and you’re better off saving your Lunacy.
There's also a difference from doing 10 individual pulls, compared to doing 10 single pulls. If you do a single 10 pull, you're guaranteed to get a 00 ID on your 10th pull. However, if you do 10 single pulls, as in using 130 Lunacy on ten separate occasions, you're not guaranteed to get a 00 ID on your 10th pull. Don't ask me why, I have no idea.
Runs
You need to do ONE Thread Luxcavation and ONE Ticket Luxcavation. You’ll do the run and never skip it. Do one run of each tier, since it'll give you 40 Lunacy the first time you complete it, afterward, stick with the latest tier. The rest of your Modules will go toward Mirror Dungeon runs. The Luxcavation runs will progress your daily checkmarks, which will give you 3 shard boxes, each containing 1-3 shards/thread.
This is the team I use for my EXP Luxcavation runs, depending on what day it is, and what the enemies are weak to for the fastest clears.

Every week, you’ll get Mirror Dungeon bonuses, which will get you a total of 66 boxes and 750 Lunacy. The most optimal way to get everything, at the least Module cost, is to do a single Mirror Dungeon Hard run. That way, you can collect all the rewards without needing to do three Normal runs. Mirror Dungeon Hard is much more difficult than the Normal version, so you might not be able to complete it when you’re in the early stages of the game
2 refills per day, plus the 240 naturally generated Enkephalin, will give you about 3 run (assuming your max Enkephalin is 120), which is around 27 shard boxes. By the end of the day, you’ll have 30 boxes, which should give you ~60 shards/thread. Assuming you follow the guide, that’ll give you enough boxes to shard 1.5 000 IDs from the dispenser every week, or 2 000 ID if you refill 3 times, without doing any pulls.
IDs
Let’s talk about the bread and butter of Limbus, the characters, or identities in this case. I've compiled a list on the ID priorities. At the very top, these are the IDs you should strive for first and invest in them. Obviously, I've also taken into account that you'll most likely not have a team that energizes or plays into a certain gimmick, so don't worry. The IDs on top of the list, not only are the best, but they don't require a specific team to do what they do best, a team only amplifies their kit. The first half ranks the 000 IDs while the second half ranks the 00 IDs. This way, you should have at least one ID of the sinner you like the most.
Note: some of these IDs might not be available to you, especially the Walpurgisnacht IDs, which is why I gave some alternatives until they become available, usually by the next season or if you're lucky with the pulls.

Note: All of these IDs stink at Uptie 1. At the very least, you should always Uptie them to Tier 3. Uptying your IDs is more important than leveling them up. At Uptie 3, you unlock their skill 3 and passives, while Uptie 4 gives them more stuff to do. In Mirror Dungeon Normal, where you'll be spending most of your time, your IDs will always be at max level. But their Uptie Tier carries over. So even if they're at level 1 outside Mirror Dungeon, they'll be max level in the dungeon. But if they're at Uptie 1, they'll remain at Uptie 1.
EGOs
EGOs aren’t really necessary 99% of the time. If you finished Canto 3, your base EGOs are more than enough to carry you through a lot of hurdles. You mainly use EGOs to apply debuffs, win big clash numbers, and do AoE damage; they aren’t meant for pure high damage.
However, if you want to know what EGOs to shard, I've compiled a list for that as well. However, unlike the previous list, this one will be slightly different. Because EGOs don't have that major of an impact throughout most fights, a lot of the EGOs are relegated to either being very niche and worthless, or there are better alternatives. So if you see a Zayin EGO ranking higher than a WAW or HE, it's not a mistake. It means that EGO is either pure shit or it's not worth the investment.
So either only shard them when you have a comfortable stash and you want to finish your team combo, or don't even look at them, even if they're the only EGOs you have. And honestly, except for the first tier and maybe the second tier, you shouldn't waste your shards on EGOs anyway. But for the most part, you'll only need one or two EGOs per sinner.
However, there are three very important exceptions to keep in mind:
- The first being Fluid Sac, an EGO that heals both HP and SP for all IDs, should be on your priority list. It's your go-to for team heals and a must-pick if you're really, REALLY, struggling with maintaining your health and sanity.
- The second is Magic Bullet. On its own, it's a very slow and not so powerful EGO, which is why it's ranked so low. However, if you like Burn units and already have Lobotomy E.G.O::Magic Bullet Outis, then it shoots up on the ranking to at least tier 2. It makes Burn do insane damage outside Mirror Dungeons, and it buffs the ID itself. It's probably one of the very few ID/EGO synergies in the game that actually works like it's supposed to.
- Third, and last, if you're building towards a very specific team, you'll notice some EGOs will have status effects next to them. Even if the EGO placement is low, grab it regardless. That EGO might not function at all in any other team, but on that specific status effect team, it's a must. Either it enhances your team's experience, or it makes or breaks the team.

Mirror Dungeon Rest Bonus
To gain the maximum amount of Rest bonuses, you need to run individual IDs every run, for six straight runs. I have managed to narrow it down and optimize the best team for Rest bonuses. These IDs MOSTLY benefit from each other, including support IDs as well. You don't need to Uptie the support IDs to Uptie 4, you just want to Uptie them to Uptie 3 to unlock their passive skills. But most of the time you won't even need their supports, so it's better to invest into a few main teams, rather than wasting shards on support IDs.
This is what I found to be the most optimal, so you might be able to come up with a better combination.
Note: My personal recommendation for a beginner's team would be Rupture. It has some really broken and OP IDs, and the status effect is powerful too.

Mirror Dungeon Guide
Mirror Dungeon gets tougher and tougher every season due to the Mounting Trials increasing the difficultly tenfold if done wrong. I'll do my best to explain to you what you should and shouldn't pick.
A. Mounting Trials
Throughout your runs, you'll come across several Mounting Trials, but the most common ones will be Offensive Level Up, Final Power, Base Power, Clash Power, and Coin Power. Along with those, there will be levels attached to each Mounting Trials. So let me break it down to an easy to understand formula
- 1 level = 1 Offensive Level Up (This is 1 point)
- 3 Offensive Level Up = 1 Clash Power (This is 3 points)
- 1 Final/Base Power give enemies 1 to their numbers. It's basically 1 Clash Power/3 Offensive Level, but worse. (This is 3 points)
- The +Clash Power only triggers during clashing, however, +Final/Base will always be active, even if it's one-sided or you choose to Evade/Guard
- Sometimes if a clash is Hopeless, it's better to Evade, Guard or Counter, since the enemy won't gain the benefits of their Clash power
So with all that in mind, here's what you should do:
- Ignore the boss EGO gifts. I don't care if it's Lunar Memory or whatever, but you'll ignore what the gift is. You will only look at the Mounting Trials
- Break down the Mounting Trials to the point formula I presented and pick the Mounting Trials the give you the least amount of points
- Use this priority system for when you're presented with multiple choices that give you the same amount of points. (Level > Offensive Level Up > Clash Power > Final/Base Power)
- Don't, and I repeat, DON'T, EVER pick Coin Power Up
B. EGO Gifts
There are EGO gifts that help you out so much if you're struggling with the clashes
- [Tango Marinade]: an exclusive EGO Gift that spawns in Hell's Chicken (Floor 2) that can give you +3 Clash Power
- Poise cheese [Clear Mirror, Calm Water/Four-Leaf Clover/Nebulizer/Cigarette Holder/Ornamental Horseshoe]: If your team has at least two Pride skills on two different IDs, get these 4 gifts. They give you a total of +5 Clash Power and +2 Final/Base Power by turn 2
- Tier 4 Physical damage EGO Gifts [Broken Greatsword(Slash)/Dueling Manual Book 3(Pierce)/The Book of Vengeance(Blunt)]: Depending on the IDs you have and what type of Damage they do, these gifts will help you out a lot. They can give you upwards of 2-3 Clash Powers
- Tier 4 Physical damage EGO Gifts v2 [Sundered Memory(Slash)/Punctured Memory(Pierce)/Crushed Memory(Blunt)]: Much like point 3, these gifts can help you out a lot, but they come with a downside. They can only affect the first two slotted IDs. The buff is Powerful, but only two of the IDs benefit from it
- [Piece of Relationship]: This one is also another power Tier 4 EGO gift, but it's rare and can't be crafted reliably since it's Keywordless. It effectively gives you +10 levels, or +3 Clash Power
- Tier 2 Physical Damage EGO gifts [Resolution(Slash)/Torn Bandolier(Pierce)/Temporal Bridle(Blunt)]: These all give you +1 Clash Power and some other niche effects
If you manage to grab all of those gifts throughout your run, you'll end up with a total of +14 Clash power. And if you want to further optimize your run, grab [Starlight Guidance] and [Favor of the Nebulae] for an extra +4 Clash power, bringing your final score to a whopping +18 by the time you reach floor 5.
C. Floor Packs
There are floor packs that are easy, and there are some that'll kill your run on the spot. Of course, I'll help you out to decide what is good and what is bad.
Tier 1: These packs are piss easy, and very short. Rarely will you ever struggle when choosing these fights.
Tier 2: Not as easy as the first tier, but still pretty brain-dead. However, their packs don't take priority over the first tier.
Tier 3: These packs are still manageable but they take too long due to enemies and bosses either having too much HP or stalling mechanics. If you're forced to take them over harder packs, I recommend it.
Tier 4: As a very new fresh player, you should avoid these packs if you don't have a good team or only relying on a couple of IDs to do the heavy lifting. But if your team synergizes with each other, and your EGO gifts are strong, you should be able to do these.
Tier 5: For these packs, you should avoid them unless you're doing floor 10. Some of these packs give you extra levels, or have strong exclusive gifts. However, you should do them as fast as possible. The further you sink into the later floors, the harder they get. So start from the right and make your way to the left.
Tier 6: This one is self explanatory, avoid them. No, don't even look at them. Avoid them at all cost.
Tier 7: These are wild packs. They should be avoided, unless you're doing a status effect run that correlates with the pack, then, it becomes a must pick. You'll find EGO gifts that will boost your performance significantly.
Tier 8: These packs are the worst of the worse, and can only be accessible during floors 11-15. It's not even a challenge or a fair fight, it's hair pulling nightmare. Do yourself a favor and never take them. There isn't even a viable trick or strategy beyond using the most meta team, buying/enhancing all the EGO gifts, and enabling all the Starter Buffs++

Mirror Dungeon Extreme
So, Mirror Dungeon Extreme. I'll do my best to give you a comprehensive guide on how to finish the mode without pulling out your hair.
For starters, the guide above. You need to follow that shit to tee. You need to optimize Mounting Trials, EGO gifts, floor packs, and everything to the best of your abilities.
A. Starting the run
- All the Starter Buffs++ must be on. All of then
- Your starter EGO gifts will be [Frozen Egg/Prestige Card]. The third one will depend on what team you're running.
- Don't upgrade your EGO gifts until you find both [Renewed Merch/Rebate Token]. With all the buffs you have, you should be able to winrate all the way to floor 11, so don't worry.
- At every shop, make sure you're replacing every skill with a skill 3. You'll be refreshing a lot, so you're bound to always cycle to 2 IDs from your team. This is the case for most team, with the exception of a few. Bloodfiends, wants you to replace all their skill to skill 2, since they're often so much better. All the Bloodfiends except for The Prince of La Manchaland. For MultiCrack Office and R Corp. 4th Pack Reindeer Hong Lu, you also want to replace all their skills with skill 2
- a. At the start, you will pick Automated Factory and grab [Haunted Shoes] to fuse [Hoarfrost Footprint]. And see if you can find [Made-to-Order] too
- b. The second pack will be Hell's Chicken, where you will grab [Contaminated Needle & Thread], [Sharp Needle & Thread], and [Tango Marinade]. The second one isn't a must grab, but it helps a lot with EGO spams. If you can't find it, since it's keywordless, don't feel like you need to restart the run
These are the main points that you must keep in mind at all times
B. The teams
I have done a run with all the teams I have listed in my Mirror Dungeon team, so I'll tell you which ones are the easiest
Tremor, Bleed, Charge, in that order are by far the easiest. If you're struggling, with your current team, you might want to switch it up.
Rupture, despite having the strongest IDs, struggles heavily due to their poor EGO gifts and lack of defense. A common fix to this issue is to run IDs that use both Rupture and Poise in order to activate two sets of fusion gifts
Burn, Sinking, and Poise are easily the worst teams. Whether it's due to outdated IDs, lack of new EGO gifts, having weak EGOs, or a combination of all three
C. EGO gifts
On top of collecting every EGO gift of the corresponding team, you will also need exclusive theme gifts to complete your team.
Tremor
Start with [Chief Butler's Secret Arts] and get [Microprecision Time Accelerator/Pocket Watch: Type E/Pocket Watch: Type Y/Chalice of Trickle-down/Entanglement Override Sequencer/Interlinked Time/Warning Notice]
Bleed
Start with [Filial Love] and get [A Drop/Mask of the Parade/La Manchaland All-day Pass/Token of Victory/Bloody Flesh, Fleshy Blood/Hardblood Glaive/Crystallized Blood/Squalidity]
Charge
Start with [Crystallized Blood] and get [Automated Joints/Hearts-powered Jewel/Cleanup Agent Gear Set C/Spent Use, Forming Hate/Misaligned Transistor]
Rupture
If it's Rupture, get [Trash Crab Brain Wine] and get [Cultivation: Cut, File, Carve, Polish/Glyph of Glass Shards/Dry-to-the-Bone Breast/Enhancer Mk.4/Spiked Combat Boots/Twigs/Harestride]
Note: The later exclusive packs will have a lot of gifts that you'll need to get and you only have one or two chances to get them. So it's best to grab those packs only when you have a lot of Cost for several refreshes and fusions
Those are the required EGO gifts that you need to get for your team, depending on the keyword you're running. However, the following are EGO gifts that you MUST get, regardless of the keyword you're running. I'm not joking. You NEED to get every single one

Spending Real Money
If you’re a casual player, and don’t really care about the side content, Refracted Railway, or emptying the dispenser, then you can ignore most of what I'll say next. If you don’t mind spending money, these are what you should aim for. Listed from the most beneficial, to the least.
Note: Except for the Limbus Pass, none of the packs are required for the grind guide. It's only if you don't mind spending money or if you need more resources. I'm not encouraging you, or advocating for you, to spend real money on the game.
Limbus Pass
The pass will make your grind much easier and will give you more unlocks as you progress. This is the bare minimum when it comes to spending money and you're more than fine grinding with the Limbus Pass alone.
Now, season 4 changed the purchase method of the Limbus Pass. Now, instead of directly paying for it, you need to buy a 1300 Paid Lunacy pack, for the same price of $11. Now, this does open a new opportunity for players who are willing to stick around and continue playing the game, as in, purchasing a higher tier Lunacy pack gives you more Paid Lunacy to buy the Limbus Pass at a cheaper price. If you purchase a pack for the first time, you get double the amount of Paid Lunacy. But don't worry, because Project Moon loves the game and its fans, that first time bonus purchase reset every year on the anniversary. Meaning, if you were to buy, for example, the $24 Lunacy Crate, which gives you 4292 Paid Lunacy, you will be saving around $9 than if you were to buy 3 Limbus Passes on three separate occasions on top of having 392 extra remaining Paid Lunacy.
Now, of course, this deal is a double edged sword. Not only are you paying upfront, but you're also paying for future content at a cheaper price. Whether you stick around until then, the game ending its servers or whatnot, are all on the table. I'm not going to tell which one you should buy since circumstances differ from person to person. Here are two different graphs, to let you know of your options and what you're paying for.

Paid Lunacy
Now, once you picked the right Lunacy package, whether it's only for the current season or future seasons, you can forget about them ever existing. Those Paid Lunacy are for Limbus Pass and Limbus Pass only. Don't let greed get in your head.
However, if you still want more Lunacy and willing to pay for it, then the ‘Monthly Lunacy Supply’ and ‘Monthly Lunacy Batch’ are the ones you should be looking at. For $10, you get around 4k Lunacy, 800 of them being Paid Lunacy over the course of a month. Everything else is a scam, I mean it.
With Paid Lunacy, you can spend 13 of them on a cheap single pull per day, or save them for the next Limbus Pass. If you decide to use them on banner, you will only spend the Paid Lunacy on the limited banners. Spending Lunacy on the Limited Banners gives you [Ideality]. Once the banner ends, which will be in 2 weeks, you’ll get the [Ideality] back as Threads. So basically, 14 Threads and 3 shard/threads, assuming you only get 0 ID duplicates, so a total of 56. But you won't be pulling 0 ID duplicates all the time. Every 10th pull is a guarantee 00 ID, or 000 at a higher chance, so you'll make the most out of your Paid Luancy.
Standard Extractions don’t have [Ideality] so there’s no point in even looking at it.
Happy grinding Limbabs. May your dispenser be empty quick. Signed R.N.O.F (Ryoshu’s number one footfag)
