Just reading the Pros and Cons section, Nyaru probably doesn't sound that bad. The important part is that you want to get her to UB as many times as possible for the fact that it stacks exponentially. No other unit in the game does this, which is why no unit in the game ever came close to the horrors of Nyaru's dominance in January 2020, in JP. She is so good that the devs were forced to introduce a soft damage cap of ~1.125m in CB, the month after her release and issue an apology.

The concept is simple - Every time Nyaru UBs, she buffs herself based on the damage that was dealt. So each following UB just continues to grow in numbers. If you can keep that going throughout an entire fight, it reaches ridiculous numbers and quickly spirals out of control compared to what the meta is currently. Even against T4 teams, her shield strength being based on her M.Atk means that she can shield weaker units (Like a level 72 X.Chika) to survive normally fatal hits when she's ramped up enough. To say that she changed the game forever doesn't really do it justice. The reality is that after her release, every part of the game was balanced around Nyaru. Arena aside, the devs would constantly attempt to find ways to stifle a potential Nyaru comp with boss-specific mechanics, only for the most dedicated TL makers to find ways to turn those mechanics against them and simply gain more TP to UB even more.

This also exacerbates the issue of feeding X.Chika faeries to bosses to force them to UB you, gaining TP for specific UB timings. This keeps the loop going, giving Nyaru and her supporting cast of usually Neneka/X.Chika/Maho 6 Star/ Kokkoro 6 Star and various others, constantly filling TP to reach dizzying heights for damage against bosses in T4.

EX3 wiped dungeon teams, most likely because they saw what she did to EX2 Jabberwock. EX4 has a buff wipe that felt targeted for Nyaru, but people figured out that by killing the front statue, you could force the buff wipe to miss due to unit positioning - This keeps Nyaru's UB buff going, dealing incredible damage. This was deemed a bug and anyone who cleared EX4 before this bug was fixed, had their furniture taken away and needed to clear EX4 again. This also resulted in the EX4 Dungeon being unavailable for 3-6 days (I don't remember exactly)

Countless CB bosses in T4/T5 have mechanics that are meant to slow Nyaru down, which have worked over time. Yet for all the efforts they've made to stop her, Nyaru is still present in JP CB. These days it's not as omnipresent due to power creep, increased stats and other units catching up to hitting the damage cap or (Or circumvent it by adding a 2nd damage calculation like Eriko 6 star or S.Kyaru 6 Star ) - But if you ask what the most important unit in the entire game to guarantee is, Nyaru is the answer. You might as well not even be playing the same game if you don't have her. Just Youtube it if you really want video reference, but watching these two might display it the best for CB damage comps.
