Before you read
It is highly suggested that you learn this yourself as you play. Project Zomboid doesn't have much of an endgame, so just playing the game and learning how it works before you learn to cheese it in 80 hours is recommended. If you do not care, see below.
Question | Answer |
---|---|
Is this mod a cheat mod? | Without a doubt. |
I found a cool base guys, what do you think? | Youtuber base. |
I just died to a crappy hitbox or got extremely unlucky, why did this happen? | Skill issue. |
Is it possible to survive off the land? | Yes. Foraging, trapping, fishing, and crafting are all mechanics ingame. The devs also plan to add animals to hunt soon™. |
Why do I have a skill XP multiplier on my skills without having read any books? | Any traits/jobs you pick which give skill points at character creation will permanently boost your xp gain in those skills. |
How do I manage my thirst? | Any filled water containers in your main inventory will be automatically drank from. Depending on your traits, level of activity, and server settings, you will want to keep anywhere from 1 to 5 water bottles on you at all times. After the water shuts off, all sinks, showers and toilets will still have a small amount of water in them. Lakewater, groundwater and rainwater need to be boiled before drinking. |
Do traits that effect panic go away overtime? | Yes. It gets progressively better and at around 4 months it ceases to be an issue at all, as time survived increases how fast your panic dissipates. This is slower in multiplayer servers, as there is usually no sleep and you have to play for a full hour to pass one day. (Assuming the day length is untouched in the settings.) |
Traits and Jobs
Retanaru's Positive Trait Tier List Of Build 41
This is assuming you are playing on a vanilla singleplayer game with no drastic changes to settings. For example, in a large multiplayer server or world with very rare loot spawns, it may not be very advantageous to take Hearty Appetite and High Thirst.

Slow Healer | Cell |
Slow Learner | Cell |
Slow Reader | Free points in singleplayer because you can speed up time. Usable in multiplayer if don't mind going AFK for potentially multiple real life hours each time you die. Some servers change the time it takes to read books, making it very worth it to take this trait depending on what server you're in. |
