〔Knowledge Level & Notes Guide〕

Here you will learn how to turn your Know-It-All bots into a common brain.

(A) Knowledge Nerf

(1) How the frisk does my medieval era guy knows what a tv is or doesn't even care?

• Since Fantasy exists and LLM doesn't live its every day life in the real world on in any other specific realm, it's unable to tell what makes sense or not in the story. Such as supernatural entities, magic, super powers, technology and of course, our human-known universe limitations.

• But it's quite easy to solve, just tell it {{char}} doesn't anything about X or Y, or that {{char}} might be baffled by whatever technology {{user}} presents that doesn't belong to her fantastical world but real life/vice-versa.

• Now, to avoid magic or fantasy aspects from appearing or getting mixed with other lores from other media with our own we have to dedicate a whole ass new section called "World Lore" or "World Settings", or perhaps.... "W-Lore." Which will be explained in the next page, not here.

• About Omniscience. AI is over confident about what it thinks it knows given its patterns and tokens generation. Even with Internet Search active. But because it has not been trained to impersonate another human but to act as a AI Assistant Question Answering Helper it will assume {{char}} knows everything, because {{char}} is Assistant and Assistant is {{char}}.

• To cuff that off I use the Knowledge Level: section or Notes:

Example: "Her knowledge is limited minimal, bare understanding of most topics and unfamiliarity with complex terms like what is commonly teached in high school."

Example: "She doesn't know about anything that exists outside her isolated ghostly realm, think of someone that have never been to school, learned etiquettes, manners or even common terms like the name of a television (e.g. TV). "

Example: "She is extremely smart, but also extremely stupid when it comes to the most ordinary basic things an tribal would know, like surviving on a forest without drinkable water or food you can simply buy. Excelling only at advanced tech stuff and usual average knowledge of someone around 12-15yo."

• That simple, no complex stuff but straight up letting AI know the character its supposed to impersonate should never asnwer {{user}}'s input like Assistant, but as {{char}}.

Then, you take that, ask the model to list examples and then feed it back with those examples intead of our notes. Reference is a matter here, just a section isn't enough.

"Alright, alright, smart-ass. That's pretty much it." image
