Principles Of Self Criticism

January 06, 2020

  1. When discussions begin and when discussions occur, do keep in mind that there will be no malicious, sarcastic, or dishonest attitude behind and within the text.
  2. Give disagreement a chance to disagree. Discourage negativity in forms of dogpiling, dismissive responses, and constant memeing.
  3. Keep a critical stance on everything. From yourself, from others, and from sources. Keep in mind, this does not mean discourage or dismiss any disagreements you see as never having any ground to hold. This does not mean disregard any critical stances from others. This does not mean you are always right and others are wrong.
  4. Do your best to keep emojis, /s, and other extensions to messages out of discussion, just to keep a level head and avoid misinterpretation.
  5. Avoid semantics as best you can. At any chance, ask questions about definitions, about what is what.
  6. Keep an open mind and don't overwhelm anyone who is learning or doesn't understand concepts as well as you and other principled communists do.
  7. Self Deprecation Is Not Self Criticism. If you are "self criticizing" just to avoid punishment then you are not self criticizing
