Rose's Boundaries & Triggers

This list is meant to help everyone understand my boundaries and triggers better. Please read through it to respect my personal space and comfort.

Improvements I’ve Made

I’m more patient with myself and others than I used to be.

I’ve gotten better at expressing my feelings without shutting down.

I can handle stress better now, even if it still gets to me sometimes.

I’ve learned to walk away instead of escalating when I feel overwhelmed.

I’m more open to communication instead of bottling things up.

1. Boundaries

Don’t raise your voice at me — yelling still triggers me.

Don’t mock, dismiss, or joke about my autism, or emotions.

Don’t try to control my choices or pressure me into things.

Don’t bring up sensitive topics (like family trauma or past mistakes) unless I open up about them.

Physical boundaries matter: ask before touching, hugging, or grabbing me.

2. Triggers

Loud, sudden arguments or aggressive tones.

Feeling ignored, dismissed, or talked over.

Being compared to others, especially in a negative way.

Manipulation, gaslighting, or guilt-tripping.

Overcrowded, overstimulating environments.

I’m not perfect, but I’m trying every day to be better. If I mess up, I want to know so I can grow from it. Respecting these boundaries helps me feel safe, heard, and able to give back the same respect in return.
