⟡﹕HOST - The host is an alter in the system who is drawn to front the most. The host typically fronts the most, or manages and deals with the every day life of the system. This may or may not be an alter thst identifies with the body. (also called a co-host)

⟡﹕GATEKEEPER - A gatekeeper is an alter in the system that for the most part, can control when other alters front. This alter may be able to prevent some alters from fonting, drag alters into and out of front or control how many alters can be in front at one time.

⟡﹕PROTECTOR - A protector is an alter whose aim is to protect the body. There is many types of protectors but generally most split to deal with physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse. They may front during stressful times, stay inside headspace to help calm alters down. Each protector has a different approach, but the end goal is to protect the system as a whole.

⟡﹕TRAUMA HOLDER - A trauma holder is an alter in the system that holds traumatic memories or feelings that the body has gone through. They hold these memories so other alters do not have to.

⟡﹕ARCHIVIST - An archivist is an alter that keeps track of things in the system and keep note on headmates and other things happening in the system. They write down and log things about different alters, like their roles, what memories they hold, new alters etc etc. They work directly with other alters in the system to give them infomation for their own roles such as updating gatekeepers on what alters would be best to front in certain occasions for example.

⟡﹕CAREGIVER - A caregiver is an alter in the system who 'gives care'. They have multiple purposes, some caregivers care for littles, some care for the emotional needs of the system and some may prioritize looking after the needs of the body.

⟡﹕MEDIC - A medic is an alter in the system that takes care of the systems health. They front when the body is hurt, or sick to take care of the body and the system's headmates health.

⟡﹕HOLDERS - A holder in the system is similar to a trauma holder. They are an alter that holds onto certain memories or feelings that the body has gone through. They hold onto these memories/feelings so other alters do not have to experience them. These memories/feelings can be bad or good.

⟡﹕SOCIALIZER - A socializer is a system member that acts on the desires of their headmates, or seeks out positive, satisfying or rewarding things because other members are unable to. These members may have something stopping them or holding them back, such as trauma or anxiety, but the socializer is not as affected by these barriers. as a result, the headmates experiences the acted-upon desires vicariously.

⟡﹕EMOTIONALIST - An emotionalist is an alter who is generally good at expressing those emotions to others. They are good at advocating their emotions to others as well as advocating for other as other headmates. They may also do this for alters who cannot communicate their emotions.

⟡﹕MOODBOOSTER - A moodbooster is an alter in the system whose job is to boost the mood, and or energy of the system. They generally front to cheer up other alters in front or to boost the mood in general. They tend to, but not always, be very cheerful and or a jokester.

⟡﹕SCOUT - A scout is a headmate that looks around the headspace for others headmates that are lost or hidden, or new alters and locations.

⟡﹕MULTIC - A multic is an who performs a wide range of roles or has an frequently fluctuating role.

⟡﹕PERSECUTOR - A persecutor is another form of a protector that has a twisted or misguided view on their role. They are typically, but not all the time, seen as aggressive or toxic. They do this either because of a misguided idea of what protection should be like, or because of interalized feelings through abuse. Persecutors are not inherently dangerous or evil, do not treat perscutors as such. Through work and help, they can learn and reform.
