General Rules

  • Anyone can play! No MMR or regional restrictions.
  • Main server: Americas

  • All participants must submit replays at the end of the event. Failure to do so may result in a ban from future events.

Replays

  • SEL is funded largely by the mod developers, mod contributors, and content creators.
    • They depend on these replays to make balance decisions, create videos, etc.
  • Players are responsible for sending all replay files to the #player-replays channel on the Discord server, or directly to HyperONE (Discord username: randomhyperone) within 48 hours of the conclusion of the event.
    • In the event the organizer cannot complete a replay pack, the players who failed to submit all the correct replays may be subject to a ban from future events.
    • Players should contact an admin in advance if they foresee being unable to share replays.

Format

  • Varies. Please consult the rules for each event.
  • Seeding:
    • Seeding is based roughly on performance in previous SC: Evo Complete tournaments, SEL points, Aligulac rating, and MMR.
    • Seeding will vary each week, in order to prevent certain player matchups from repeating too often.

Map Pool

Varies. Please consult the rules for each event. You must use the SEL versions of maps, if they exist.

Prize Pool

Varies. Please consult the rules for each event. Prizes are paid out via Matcherino. If you cannot accept Matcherino payments, please consult an admin before participating.

Other Rules

  • When in doubt, ask an admin!
  • Be kind and respectful to others. No cheating, hacking, or excessive BM or toxicity. Violators and troublemakers may be removed from the bracket and banned from future events.
  • Check-in begins 1 hour before the event. Players who do not check-in will be removed from the bracket before the event begins.
  • Walkover timer is 15 minutes. Please contact an admin if you have been waiting for more than 15 minutes after your match has been made available on Challonge.
    • You may be asked to present evidence to support your walkover claim, so please be ready to do so.
  • No unauthorized casters and observers.
  • Barcode accounts are strongly discouraged. Barcodes who cannot be identified may be disqualified.
  • Players may stream their own games, but they do so at their own risk.
  • Admins will interpret and enforce these rules, and have the final say in all situations.
