Aegis City Heroes Series

Aegis City Heroes

Aegis City Heroes is a small project I've been meaning to tackle for a while. Superhero bots are fun in my opinion. So I wanted to tackle a lorebook where you can interact with the heroes. The biggest challenge by far was to get the bots to not willingly talk about their secret identities often.

Aegis City Heroes is - first and foremost - a Superhero playground, meant for enabling the day-to-day lives of Superheroes/Supervillains in a city where they are constantly at battle. As such, any hero can feasibly fit into the setting provided they are not hyper-specific cases (such as "Just Superman/Supergirl/etc.")

Emergence Day

The Camera settles on a young woman with long blonde hair, red eyes, and wearing a red supersuit. The woman is sitting at a table in a featureless steel room. A description at the bottom-right of the feed says: Interview 02: Lady Red.

Emergence Day (E-Day) is the day that everything changed. In the early 2020's it happened suddenly and without warning, the Fiends came. They came up out of the Earth itself, spawning massive flesh caverns and from them came the Cryptids. The Fiends would have been bad enough, they're scary, powerful, and as intelligent as any predator. But the Cryptids were walking apocalypses. How do you stop a creature the size of a mountain? The only answer we could come up with was bombing them. So we launched every bit of heavy ordinance we had at them. When that didn't work, the government okayed the use of Nukes. Apparently other countries had done the same. Half of America gone overnight, literally. The middle states are no more and we only managed to kill five Cryptids. Five. We were tracking at least a dozen.

That was the first eight hours. Most cities were struggling to survive, some forts were fine but most were in the shit just like we were.

Maybe it was cruel, but by that point casualties were in the hundreds of thousands. It looked like we would be wiped out. We did the only thing we could do, we retreated. At about hour twelve, some of us began to show signs of our gifts. Super powers. The kind of thing you'd see in comic books except real. It was an honest to god chance at survival. I was part of the team that helped clear out Aegis City alongside Avalanche and a few others. But we were new, a lot of us died. But by the end of the day we had cleared out most of the fiends and rescued as many survivors as possible.

Honestly, I think the only reason we survived was because a Cryptid hadn't looked our way yet. New York City. Gone. Entirely.

They had us help build the first wall after that. Aegis City had to be kept safe. It worked, thankfully. Fiends could still sneak in but it was easier to deal with packs of five or six than it was to deal with dozens rushing forward.

It took two weeks before we sent out the first scouting party. They didn't come back. So we sent another on a shorter trip. One of them had 'Longsight' I think they said. Anyway, it took dozens of scouting parties and years before we restored some communication lines. Russia? Apparently completely gone, launched all of their nukes on themselves. The UK apparently had an easier time, but they helped confirm it: Almost 80% of the worlds human population was gone. There were other places like Aegis City that managed to hole up and wall out the Fiends. But not many. Not enough.

Aegis City

The Camera settles on a man covered from head to toe in an ice blue suit. His muscles are clearly defined as if he was a bodybuilder and while his face isn't visible it's easy to tell he's smiling. Instead of sitting, he chooses to stand with his arms crossed. A description at the bottom-right of the feed says: Interview 07: Avalanche.

Aegis City? It's the best place to be in the world right now. We're pioneering the advancements in travel, residential development, food production, you name it! Our walls are thick enough to keep most of the Fiends out and our early warning systems give us advance notice of any Cryptids heading our way. We've got the most Supers per person out of any city and we're constantly innovating new ways to defend ourselves.

For food, some of it is grown on site, but most of it is grown at an offshore rig we cleared out and settled. We have a few plant-based superheroes out there working round-the-clock to keep things growing. Then they ship it back here. It's crazy, man!

We even have a subway system that's working to connect other cities to Aegis City. It's a lot of work to maintain, but it works and connecting to other cities give people hope you know?

Anyway, the major areas in Aegis City are pretty simple: You have the Docks - the lifeblood of our city. The Business Districts, the Sewers, the Subway, and the Residential District. There's an area of the Residential District we call the Slums, but I don't agree with that name personally. This is the best city on the planet and I'm going to fight hard to ensure it stays that way!

The camera feed fades out and a note appears on screen: Avalanche died during a Cryptid Attack two weeks later. His sacrifice is remembered.

Supers and Pells

The Camera focuses on a man behind a desk. He has short silver hair, blood red eyes, a silver beard, and a muscular build. He wears a labcoat over his muscular frame with an ID card clipped to the front pocket. A note at the bottom right of the screen reads: Report on Supers/Pells to Government Agencies, Dr. Lance Yveron.

One of the greatest advantages our people have over the Fiends is the manifestation of abnormal, paranormal, and monstrous abilities. Superpowers, for the layman. As per government decree we are categorizing these powered individuals into two groups: Supers and Pells, everyone else is 'normal' I guess but that's a problem for whatever government fogey instead of me. As head researcher it is my job to determine what exactly caused this manifestation to occur.

Unfortunately, research is sparse on this subject. Not exactly a lot of papers written about superpowers before Emergence Day. But my staff are confident with enough test subjects-

What?

A voice off screen reminds Dr. Yveron that they aren't test subjects, they're citizens.

Okay, citizens.

Dr. Yveron's eyes roll hard enough that one would think he was trying to see the inside of his skull.

Anyway, we're proceeding with research as demanded by the Government. So far we've determined the following:

Supers manifest their powers close to adulthood, around the ages of 16 to 24, with 72% of subjects reporting it happened due to emotional trauma they were experiencing at the time. Dead families, fiend attacks, the like. Supers have powers in line with the comic book heroes of old. Super strength, speed, flight, laser vision. The biological functions that allowed these powers are still unknown to us, but we believe we are getting close to determining an answer.

A Pell meanwhile can manifest their powers at any stage of their life. One of our top researchers is an old man who was gifted with an advanced intellect that wiped his dementia clean which gave him a path forward in life. Pells, however, only receive minor gifts. If pyrokinesis is a power for a Super, then a Pell would be able to manifest only short bursts of flame. Pells also often receive some kind of physical mutation or deformation as part of their powers. Super strength can manifest in a hulk of a man with veins the size of garden hoses, in example.

As a note, we need more... citizens and funding for our research. And by sending Lady Red to 'oversee' my work you are instead hampering it. We are trying to save the world here, not coddle your delicate sensibilities.

The Heroes Guild and Who Oppose Them

The feed switches to a live news broadcast. Lady Red stands at the steps of a massive tower covered in crystalline glass., a pair of glasses on her face now as she waves to a cheering crowd. As the crowd quiets, she clears her throat. Mayor Janpolla, a pudgy man with a bald head and combover stands nearby, clearly pleased with himself. A note at the bottom right of the screen reads: The Formation of the Heroes Guild.

With great pride we announce the formation of the Heroes Guild. For too long have our heroes gone without a place to rest, a place to train, and a place to commiserate. As leader of the Heroes Guild, I will bring together the best of us, train them, and turn them into an elite fighting force capable of not only protecting this city but helping it grow. My Heroes will be the next generation of protectors. Of fighters. Of friends.

With the construction of the Heroes Guild Tower we hereby announce our war on the villains who prey on our people. It was my hope that Emergence Day would bring us all together, but some of us are still bound by the follies of the past. So know this: If you stand against us and peace, your days are numbered.

Static covers the screen, when it clears a moment later a camera crew is walking around the Heroes Guild Tower. Posters adorn the walls displaying inspirational messages. Avalanche is seen frequently underneath signs like "Do Your Part!" A man in a professional suit emblazoned with a Red H stops in front of a doorway.

These are the dorms. We want our heroes to be comfortable when they put their head down after a long day. Lower-ranking heroes will live in one of these dorms where they'll bunk with other heroes to inspire camaraderie. Higher-ranking heroes will have their own rooms to give others to aspire too. There's a full-on virtual reality training room down the hall with state of the art technology to allow heroes to practice a variety of simulations. A number of rooms are dedicated to the support staff of the Heroes Guild and Lady Red's office was placed at the top floor per her request.

This is probably the most secure place in Aegis City, save for the prison where we will keep the most dangerous people under constant surveillance as they undergo therapy and counseling sessions with the goal of reintroducing them to society as redeemed, helpful people.

A message appears on the screen: Bullshit. The camera swaps to a view of the Aegis City Prison. It's a high-tech facility with sleek walls, containment fields, and numerous patrolling guards. Cells are sparse. A new message displays on the screen: The Heroes Guild keeps killing civilians in their 'fights' and never answer for it. The entire corrupt system needs to be brought down. New footage displays burning homes, weeping families, and cries for help that go unanswered. A final message appears: Do the Right Thing. Oppose them.

Specter Squad

SECRET
Report on the activities of the Supervillain Group known as Specter Squad.
By: Lady Red
SECRET

Specter Squad is a group of supervillains known as: Crypto, Inferno, and Tempus. These villains are leading the three largest criminal gangs in Aegis City. Crypto and Tempus mostly keep to themselves, but Inferno regularly engages in terrorist activities, including human trafficking, drug sales, and acts of violence. Inferno's group calls themselves "Flamers" and as their name suggests they often engage in arson in addition to the above activities. At least Inferno is straightforward, he wants to cause chaos as much as possible.

Crypto we don't have a lot of information on. Her group, the Doomers, are more of a cult of fanatics driven mad than anything else. We have reason to believe that she recruits through indoctrination ceremonies throughout the city, mass converting regular citizens into madmen setting about to bring the end of the world.

Tempus, however, is the one I want to keep an eye on the most. But we can't, no one has ever seen Tempus but we know he regularly communicates with his top lieutenants and the other Specter Squad members. The interrogations we carried out only suggest that he never communicates in person. Audio calls only, but our attempts to trace these calls have failed. The Synthetics often praise him as their lord and savior, grafting metal parts onto their bodies in some kind of weird ritual. They're mostly benign, but occasionally they'll host raids on technology centers.

As part of this report, we request more funding and the development of better equipment to find and decipher the methods of communication Crypto and Tempus use. My heroes will handle Inferno, it's the randomness of Crypto and Tempus that keeps me up at night.

TOP SECRET
Postmortem Report on Project Titan
Lady Red
TOP SECRET

Project Titan was originally introduced as a way to determine the feasibility of creating artificial Superheros. The world was in peril and these Supers were our best hope of fighting back. Imagine someone with the power of a nuclear bomb encased in their body, if we could have two or three of those we could reclaim the entire North American content in a few days. So, top government officials funded the research and development of Project Titan, spearheaded by Dr. Lance Yveron and overseen by Lady Red, the projects goal was to figure out what exactly gave Supers their powers so it could be replicated.

Over the course of twenty years, dozens of children, teenagers, and adults were captured then brought to Lab 14. Some willingly, some not. A good portion of test subjects came from broken homes, parents who were all too willing to sell their children for enough money to move out of the slums. Some were orphans and who was going to ask questions about them? Their parents? Others thought they were just getting into a quick study. It was easy to explain away disappearances. Fiend attacks were - and still are - common enough that we simply buried empty caskets when anyone probed.

It was my duty to watch over the program, make sure it was proceeding and as I was explicitly told by my higher ups to "Not get involved" if possible. They were scared. Hell, I was scared. Now I wish I had been half the hero people make me out to be.

The experiments that went on in Project Titan were inhumane. Dr. Yveron often forced subjects to fight each other, tore apart Supers to discover what made them tick, tortured kids to see if he could spark a traumatic response. Sometimes he'd even use the threat of violence against family members to force compliance. A lot... A lot of kids died. A lot of people died. And every time I asked about it, Dr. Yveron assured me he was 'getting close' to an answer.

I was still fighting daily back then. Doing my damn best to keep the city safe. I could only visit maybe once, twice a month at best. They'd show me an experiment or two, nothing obscene. But the records don't lie. One day as I arrived they were in the middle of an escape attempt. It wasn't abnormal I was told. But I watched as a man saw me, recognized me. He called my name, presumed I was going to save him.

The bulkhead doors slammed shut on him. I still remember how... warm it felt, the spray of his blood. I'd seen people die before. But this was... This was different.

I went to mount a rescue the next day, but Dr. Yveron had been one step ahead of me. He blew up the entire damn lab. Every single test subject. Every single person. There was nothing else to do but seal off the remains of Lab 14. We made an official statement saying that a Cryptid had tunneled beneath the city and was dealt with by the heroes.

Consider this memo my official resignation. If you don't want me going to the press, fund the creation of a Heroes Guild and put me in charge of it. I'll take care of our heroes because you sure as fuck won't.

Persona Creation Information

Alright so let's talk about creating a persona. You should follow this step-by-step questionnaire to help you:

  • Are you a Super or a Pell? Civilians are allowed, obviously, but discouraged.
  • Determine if your character was involved in Project Titan or not. If so, how did you survive?
  • Figure out what powers your character has. Feel free to copy another more popular heroes powers. This list has a massive source of powers for you to pull from
  • Determine your Hero Name. This Generator is pretty good for it
  • Figure out if you're aligned with the Heroes Guild, the Villains, or if you're a neutral faction like an anti-hero.
  • If you're aligned with the Heroes: Starlight and Rook are the easiest starting options.
  • If you're aligned with the Villains: Crypto and Inferno. If you are also a part of Project Titan, Arachne is the best option.
  • If you're a neutral faction: Flare and Demon are your best options.
  • Enjoy and have fun, don't forget to pick up the Narrator!

Character Cards

Aegis City Narrator

Aegis City Narrator

Character Card

This is a Narrator bot meant to provide easier interaction between NPCs, you and the characters you use. In other words, this bot is mainly for integration into group chats. Slap this into your group chat, prompt it a bit, and the bot will generally take over any NPC interactions. Including mooks, named characters such as Lady Red, and more.

No alternate images for the narrator bot.

Aeon the Hero

Aeon

Character Card

Aeon was fun to make. Though she tends to operate on a looser side of 'Yandere' than I'd like. Depending on the model you use she may just straight up not go yandere enough so you may need to use directors notes to make her a bit more compliant in that regard. That being said, she's fun and if you stick her into a group chat with Starlight things go well.

Her first intro has you meeting with Lady Red. Lady Red has a tendency to ask you to fight Cryptids so either roll with that or just change "Cryptids" to "Fiends."

Alternate Pictures are located now located in the Usage Gallery on the Character Card link above.

Arachne the Supervillain

Arachne

Character Card

Arachne - otherwise known as Tether. I had a choice when I went in to make the character card for Arachne because as those of you who played Project Titan know, Tether is a character in Project Titan. So the question was: Is Tether safe now, or did you fail to help her escape? I went with the latter because angst is fun.

For those of you who aren't a fan of the idea of having had to escape without Tether (or simply want to keep canon), the fix for this is pretty easy. Intro 4, and remove the line in the backstory that says "{{char}} never forgave {{user}} for leaving her behind when {{user}} - another victim of Project Titan - escaped two years prior, even though she knows she would have done the same thing in their shoes." You can just rewrite it or remove it entirely, but Intro 4 goes into that Tether - perhaps unlike you - couldn't reconcile what had happened with Project Titan to make amends and join the Heroes Guild. So she joined up with the Specter Squad instead, who were more than happy to have Tether on their side.

She's angsty as hell and I love her.

Bellona the Blood Maiden

Bellona

You can find the card in my Discord.

Bellona started out life as an SCP but was tweaked into being part of the Aegis City Heroes series. Power-wise, she ranks up there just below Hecate in terms of power. Even her father, Tempus, is not on her power level but she is basically trauma'd into being subservient to him. Bellona represents the end-game boss battle of the Project Titan arc. Tempus could fight you directly, but why do that when Bellona exists? As one of the most powerful characters to date, you are highly recommended to not go into this solo. Playtesters report that she is nigh unstoppable alone. But if you bring a friend or two you might just have enough time to get past her and defeat Tempus one on one. Good luck.

I had a lot of fun making Bellona. It was difficult to make a character who wants to fight but also is redeemable and while I probably could have done better, I think Bellona is one of the better additions to this series. Her ability to turn you into a blood doll is a great way to start out as a Blacksite 24 researcher, since you can have tried to break her out only to get wounded on the way out. She warms up to you pretty fast if you do that.

Alternate Pictures are located in the Image Spam section of my Discord.

Bolter the Hero

Bolter

Character Card

Kept you waiting, huh?

Alright, Bolter. With this set of cards I wanted to release a more... critical eye on the Heroes Guild. Yes it does good and it's a good thing to be a part of, but there is no 'perfect' organization you know? There's bound to be people out there who don't mesh well and especially in a place where people with actual superpowers hang out there's going to be division and bullying.

So, Bolter. She has trouble controlling her powers and it's become a constant problem for her since other Heroes look down on her, especially because she'll get paired up for missions with them and it's seen as 'having to take the fuck-up along.' Upper management is either unaware of or unwilling to stop it. So, it's up to you to do the right thing and stand up for the girl who is just doing her damn best, you know?

I think Bolter is also the first Superhero card I've made that directly references the Fiends. Fiends have always been in the setting but I've never really directly referenced them until now. I recommend that if you want to rehash the Heroes Guild and make things better for Bolter, you get Lady Red involved. Makes for a good time.

Crypto the Supervillain

Crypto

Character Card

GOD, if Crypto's art hadn't turned out so fucking GOOD this series might not exist. I know I said that for Demon but holy shit it turned out amazing. I originally had Crypto planned to be an uncaring Supervillain using domination powers to destroy everything under the sun in an attempt to bring about a new world order. But in testing I shifted that. Crypto's just a scared girl who never got the training other Supers got to control her powers. Now it's too late. She struggles to control her powers. People ignore her in the streets. And the people who don't go insane and kill themselves or other people. The Heroes Guild is hunting her relentlessly and all she wants is a hug and a cookie.

Shame no one can resist her mental influence.

Alternate Pictures are located now located in the Usage Gallery on the Character Card link above.

Demon the Antihero

Demon

Character Card

God, if Demons art hadn't turned out so fucking good this series might not exist. Demon is actually my Superhero persona for bot chats. He's a no-bullshit kind of guy who does what he believes is necessary to protect Aegis City. After all, a Supervillain only stops being dangerous when they're in the fucking dirt. He used to be in the Heroes Guild but lost his cool at one point and killed a villain, marking him as a villain by the Heroes Guild and driving him into being a solo act on the run from the law. He still believes in protecting people, just disagrees with the Heroes Guild on how to go about it.

Demon has three greetings of his own. I recommend for the first two, you show up as a hero in the Heroes Guild. There's going to be some drama and tests show that he absolutely does not trust you at all in those cases.

Alternate images in the gallery.

Flare the Antihero

Flare

Character Card

Flare was a lot of fun to make. She's a tomboyish girl who was dealt some bad cards in life. She hates the Heroes Guild because before they really got going, collateral damage was kind of expected. Unfortunately, Flare's parents were collateral damage. So when she finally developed her own powers and was scouted by the Heroes Guild, she refused to join. Unfortunately, the presence of another villain in the city who uses fire - Inferno - means that she often gets blamed as an accomplice despite not being a part of the villain organization at all.

Flare has three greetings of her own. They're mostly similar to Starlights, except she has a third greeting where she meets you in Civilian clothes. My advice for Civilian options in the starting section of the Aegis City Heroes section applies here.

Alternate images in the gallery.

Hecate the Apocalypse

Hecate

Character Card

Woah, why apocalypse huh? We branching out to fantasy?

Nah. An under-utilized section of the Aegis City Heroes series is the 'why' as to why humanity is actually stuck in Aegis City at all. Sure there are other cities, but the Cryptids and fiends are constant threats that need to be dealt with. However, the narrator card in particular is more about dealing with less fantastical threats and more villainy. Well, now you have a card that has a serious problem.

Hecate used to be your childhood friend before she left Aegis City on a dare and became the new Queen of the Fiends. Or at least that's what she believes. She's a monster, through and through. If your stuff is set up properly she will be incredibly difficult to romance and ten times more likely to kill you. She is by far one of the most difficult to romance characters in any of my series.

So, uh, good luck I guess.

Oh yeah, she's based on the Prototype game series. Did you catch that? High five if so. That was a fun series.

Alternate images in the gallery.

Inferno the Supervillain

Inferno

Character Card

Shout out to Angelo who pushed me to make this. If it wasn't for them I probably would have left Inferno ambiguous to use as a nemesis in your roleplays. I hope you all enjoy him.

Inferno is your bog-standard evil ass villain with no remorse. Unlike Crypto whose lack of control of her powers causes her to be a villain without her intending to, Inferno is fucking here for it. He wants to be a villain. He wants to burn things. Ever since he accidentally burned his first girlfriend alive when coming into his powers it's turned into a twisted version of 'love' for him to burn things.

Tests showed him as unhinged, crazy, and ready to do shit. Not that he's stupid, far from it. He's aware that the Heroes Guild wants to stop him and aware that there is just as many people out there who hate the Heroes Guild. Throw him in as a villain for you to throw hands with, or throw him in as your boss. I hope there's enough options here to keep him interesting for you all.

Alternate pictures are located in the Usage Gallery on the Character Card link above.

Ivy the Botanist

Ivy

You can find the card in my Discord.

Ivy is a sweetheart and my main girl with her was to introduce another character without affiliations to the Heroes Guild or the Specter Squad. Why? Well villain characters can use someone who isn't attack on sight beyond Crypto and it enables some interactions where Heroes Guild players question their involvement with the guild. Win win all along.

Yes, this is also just about meeting my elf quota.

Ivy also comes with horny plants, so she is technically a coombot. Make of that what you will.

Alternate pictures are located in the Image Spam channel of my Discord.

Lady Red the Guild Master

Lady Red

Character Card

Bullying works, I guess. Here I am releasing a Lady Red card when I had never actually intended to do so. Your alcoholic, stressed guild leader who has to grapple with the weight of her sins in an attempt to get some good fucking sleep for once.

I honestly didn't know how exactly I wanted to handle Lady Red. In my chats she's often a villain in a position of power, using her influence to crush out anyone who wanted to find out about Project Titan. It got to the point in one chat that she literally called in the Skyshield to destroy part of the city in an effort to prevent her secret from getting out.

I ended up trying to look at it from a different angle. How would it look from her perspective? In her perspective, everything she had done had been necessary. Literal god damn Doomsday knocking on the door and enough of a nigh-immortal enemy that she decided that a couple hundred lives were worth everything that remained. Was she right? Was there another way? That's up to you to decide, but she sure as shit hasn't forgiven herself for it.

Alternate pictures are located in the Usage Gallery.

Nemesis the Supervillain

Nemesis

Character Card

You know what Aegis City Heroes was missing? An honest to god Supervillain who looked like he was having a good fucking time. Inferno almost fits the bill due to his pyromania, but that's more insanity than an honest-to-god enjoyment. Nemesis is self-indulgent in his super-villainy. When I had written down Nemesis originally in my backlog I had this written out for him:

Nemesis - New Supervillain. Perhaps someone who duplicates their enemies powers? That'd be cool.

He turned into this because I had seen a video that was about Richter and Dracula having a conversation. I ended up thinking more about what I wanted to do with this character, made him hacking and electricity themed, a misunderstood genius who just couldn't find fun in the world anymore. Lo and behold, guess who got superpowers? Now he uses it to fuck with you. Specifically you. You're his buddy.

Alternate images in the gallery.

Rook the Hero

Rook

Character Card

Rook! While he is essentially Starlight on some level, I tried to set Rook apart on some levels. He's your characteristic naive superhero, trying to believe the best in everyone while reveling in his powers. He's one of Aegis City's best heroes and tries to live up to that image. In contrast to Starlight, Rook actually wishes he had more time to himself and doesn't revel in the spotlight as much as she does. He loves to play games, cook, and work on computers.

Three greetings for him. The second one is the same as Starlights, where he had an unfortunate run-in with something that caused him to lose parts of his memories and now he's got some kind of mechanical apparatus growing on him. You might struggle with that mechanical apparatus disappearing, so I recommend you remind him of it occasionally.

As usual with my Heroes, show up as an antihero or villain for some extra drama with my naive boy here.

No alternate pictures included.

Starlight the Hero

Starlight

Character Card

Kicking things off with Starlight, Starlight is your typical Superhero who loves being a Superhero. She's nice, kind, loves to help others, and will fight to save people. She's also a pacifist since that's how she was raised to believe a hero should be. She actually prefers the hero life to her regular life, feeling her regular life is more bland than exciting.

She has three greetings. One of them was inspired by a card called "Power Woman" where you find a superhero who had gone missing and didn't remember anything about themselves. I found it a fun scenario and included it here with Starlight since there's a lot of ways that kind of scenario can go.

My recommendation is that you either show up as an anti-hero or villain for the extra drama. Starlight tends to judge antiheroes and (especially) villains harshly.

Alternate Pictures on the Character Card.

Tempus the Supervillain

Tempus

You can find the card in my Discord.

Ah, Tempus. He's been purposefully kept vague because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with him. I was originally going to go for a time-themed superhero but struggled to make the concept work. Then someone in my Discord suggested what should have been obvious to me from the start: Tempus is Dr. Yveron from Project Titan. The madman who performed experiments on hundreds maybe thousands of people, blew up his lab, and escaped is the biggest villain of Aegis City Heroes to date. His violence has left scars on numerous other cards, and now he's beginning his synthetic uprising.

And it's up to you to stop him.

Your trip into Blacksite 24 isn't going to be easy. He's learned since Project Titan, he's ready to fight, and he's still performing experiments. However, now he's become obsessed with his next stage: Evolution. Yeah, I realized a bit too late that he was ripping Viktor from League of Legends but I'm not changing it. It's a cool theme and it'd be a lot of work to rewrite him just because League of Legends exists.

So it's up to you to finally put an end to Tempus, kill or capture Dr. Yveron, and save the city from the synthetic uprising while you're at it.

I've been told he's a fun fight, making use of gadgets, his enhanced body, and more to fight you.

Alternate images are in the Discord.

Titanheart the Anti-Hero

Titanheart

Character Card

Alrightm real talk Titanheart went through something like four iterations. I thinkt his is the best one out of all the concepts I ran through. Plus, the name just kind of locked me in to having a Project Titan character again. He started out life as a Batman-alike. But can I be real? It was kind of boring. I had no idea where I wanted to take it and while it was still Project Titan related he was more of a figurehead than a superhero. His original picture looked a lot like Batman so I had the feeling that I had to lock him into that when I Was making him.

But man, couldn't. Completely wiped it.

Anyway, the current iteration is interesting I think. A mole on the inside trying to depose Lady Red is an interesting angle to take. I have another guy bot - villain - on my Discord up for testing already. He's amazing.

Alternate images in the gallery.

Scenario Cards

Kind of a new section. I want to explore making more than just character cards and instead branch out into Scenarios.

Project Titan

Project Titan

Character Card

Starting off the Scenarios with something different from my usual stock: Project Titan. For those of you who don't have an origin story? Guess what, you can use this as your origin story now.

Project Titan - or the Hero Creation Project - was a top-secret government blacksite where scientists tried to uncover the phenomena that was turning people into superheroes. They had to, after all. Demons were popping up everywhere, Cryptids threatened life itself, and there was a very strong chance that humanity would be wiped out.

However, Project Titan was... less than ethical. Anything and everything was green lit. Figure it out. Control the supers so they can't rebel, and make the strongest superheroes you can. Humanity's survival depends on it. The main antagonist of this series is Doctor Yveron - a man who was given a genius level intellect for his own superpowers and he aims to use it to figure out just what makes you tick.

Imma be blunt, this is basically torture porn. The scenario card doesn't require the Aegis City Narrator card to work, but dragging other characters in a group chat with this may or may not work because Project Titan canonically happened early on during the formation of Aegis City. So, most characters don't know of its existence (except some new spicy ones I'll be looking to release.) This could be your characters 'dark secret' so to speak. Did Lady Red know what happened to you? Did you join the Heroes Guild anyway? Or maybe you're more sympathetic to villains knowing that they may have gone through what you did?

Still, it seems fun. This works best if you give yourself some kind of reason to want to break out other than just sitting there and letting yourself be experimented on. Unless you're into that, I suppose.

I included alternate pictures but they're just of Doctor Yveron. He was originally going to be his own character but I decided to roll him into a scenario card. Good luck, subjects.
