Welcome one and all to the Harmony Heroines series. As part of my attempt to make a Magical Girl group in which you could have a proper long-term chat rather than just some coom shit that you're done with in a minute. In addition, there is a male version: Harmony Heroes. That being said for simplicity's sake and so I don't have to fuckin' write Girls/Guys a dozen times, please note that anything that applies to the Harmony Heroines also applies to the Harmony Heroes. You can think of it as an AU where instead of girls in skirts it's guys in tunics.
Lore Primer
Some say the world is stuck in an endless cycle. Evil rises, Good rises to meet it, the two fight until Good triumphs, and then the cycle begins anew. They are, of course, wrong. The reality is that Good has never once triumphed over Evil. And no, I'm not just talking about moral gray areas for once. Every decade or so, the Dark Forces will return. Whenever they do, a group of heroes will rise to meet the challenge. But while Good and Evil will fight it out, the truth is that Good always loses.
That's because of one being: Baelstub. They orchestrate the fight behind the scenes, selecting those among us who are most susceptible to the draw to power. Those of us who hurt. Those of us who need help. Those who just want to live out their fantasy of having the power to change the world around them. Then Baelstub takes the forces of Good who failed the last time and twist them into Overlords representing the sins of humanity. The cycle begins again and every time it completes, Baelstub grows in power. Soon, Baelstub will consume the whole world.
All he needs to do is complete one last cycle. Defeat the Harmony Heroines and twist them into the final Overlords. He's already recruited them, passing himself off as a harmless teddy bear called "Chaol" who "Just wants to defeat the evil Overlords of Sin."
And you might be the only one who can stop him. The only one who knows that the Cycle exists. The only one who knows that the gifts and power he provides are only there to flicker out at the worst possible moment.
Stop Baelstub. You are the last hope.
Additional Notes
The series presumes your character is familiar with the concept of magic and works best if you accept your position as the Overlord of Lust, granted to you by either Vesper or Vaspar. What you do with that position is up to you, you could be working to dismantle everything from the inside for a good ending, or just a "Less evil" ending where Baelstub is stopped, but you rule over the world with an iron, lusty fist.
The series has gone through two rewrites now and the idea is that Vesper/Vaspar kidnapped you to do the whole corruption thing. Airi/Asato no longer know where you went and they think you just fucked off like the rest of their parents. The important thing here is that if you want to use this series you should be aware that Vesper and Vaspar come pre-packaged with the idea that they are serving you.
This means that while you can IC reject them (they only have one intro where they are actively corrupting you and a few where they have already corrupted you) if you want to avoid being the Overlord of Lust, your best bet is to bring them into the chat after you've established yourself with some of the main cast. This makes them antagonists who want to corrupt you and allows a "Harmony Heroine/Hero" playthrough if you'd prefer to not be on the side of the Overlords at all.
Testing for the male versions show they don't conflict with the female versions at all due to differing keywords and names. You can bring them both in together for a "Alternate Universe (AU) Crossover" event if you like. This has been untested, however.
Known Storylines
- Corruptor Storyline
- The Corruptor Storyline involves your character embracing their role as the Overlord of Lust with Vesper/Vaspar as a servant. In this one, you corrupt the Harmony Heroines/Heroes into being your servants, who you will then use to take down the other Overlords and Baelstub, to establish your own coom world.
- Savior Storyline
- In the Savior Storyline, you are still the Overlord of Lust but your mind is your own, not lost to the corruption that Vesper/Vaspar have gone through, which enables you to see through Baelstub's ploy (as he masquerades as Chaol). This storyline generally follows the same path as the Corruptor storyline in this regard, your goal is still to ultimately work with the Harmony Heroines/Heroes to defeat Baelstub and the other Overlords, but with a more romantic bent.
- The Undying Cult
- The Undying Cult is a cult that worships Baelstub and they've been making waves throughout Aegis City as their recruitment kicks up into high gear, signaling the end of the world is fast approaching. Infiltrate the cult and destroy them.
Persona Creation/Quick Start
Okay so let's talk about your actual persona.
First off, decide one of two things:
- Did Vesper/Vaspar successfully kidnap you?
- Or did you join the Harmony Heroines/Heroes?
If it's the initial one, Your best bet is start off with Rei's/Ryuusei's first intro. This kickstarts you into the savior or corruption/savior storylines by immediately engaging them in battle. I recommend if you're going the savior route that you still fight them, luring them into a false sense of failure to draw Chaol/Baelstub out for a killing blow (or wounding as I most often do.)
If you joined the Harmony Heroines/Heroes, I recommend you just use one of Airi/Asato's or Rei's/Ryuusei's new intros which establishes the Overlords and gives you a target to start with.
Finally, figure out what happened with Airi/Asato.
Airi and Asato both have blank spots in their memory regarding you specifically. This is so you can establish your own traumatic backstory if you like, or simply use it to kickstart an arc around who or what has been fucking with their memories. I usually use this to establish that this whole Baelstub thing isn't my persona's first brush with the magical. It will be established later, but there are other threats out there besides Baelstub that will be implemented later on.
The Narrator Card

Located in the Aegis City Discord.
The narrator card. This works best in a group chat and will help you out by doing all the stuff for the Dark forces without relying on the cards themselves. It's finnicky, but it works well enough and within a few generations it tends to give you a good enough response to go off of. Not much to say about this tbh.
The UPDATED Narrator Card

Located in the Aegis City Discord.
Updated to be more compatible with Harmony Heroes and with future content updates. The new and improved Narrator Card is just called "The Dark Forces." Yeehaw chucklefucks.
The Harmony Heroines
Airi the Pixie Smasher

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Alright, Airi. Airi is your little sister and the second Harmony Heroine of the group. She joined up during the assault on your home because she wanted to try and save your childhood home. Unfortunately she failed and her home was destroyed. She's great for a family drama character because she is just genuinely concerned for your safety and wants you both to be happy and together again. She's best friends with Rei and currently lives with her as well.
Airi wields Muspeltien, a flame lance that she uses to great effect. She's a frontline fighter aiming to get good stabs in while the rest of the group keeps her enemies at bay.
Alana the Retro Fae

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Alana is the final member of the Harmony Heroines. I originally left a spot open in case the player wanted to be the final member, but you can just do that anyway and I want to move past the Harmony Heroines into other groups operating in the Harmony Heroines series. So, Alana is here. Also because I need an elf. A video gamer at heart, Alana lives with Airi and Rei and works a part time job as a hostess at the local Spider's Kiss bar.
She's cute.
Aya the Magic Knight

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Aya the Magic Knight, fourth member of the Harmony Heroines. The scientific backbone of the group and a diehard grad student trying to figure out how the fuck these magical girls actually work. She's studying Magisium to figure it out and managed to bully her way onto the group after she found out that Melina became a Magical Girl. Unfortunately, her schedule of being a ridiculed college student with a crackpot theory and nightly missions to defeat the Dark Forces is taking its toll on Aya and her grades have started to slip. So she's hoping to get the secrets of Magisium found out before it impacts her too much.
As the support backbone of the group, she uses gadgets to analyze her enemies and her signature rifle: Baldrn, to attack from afar. She supplements her attacks with ice magic.
Melina the Earth Mystic

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Melina the Earth Mystic, third member of the Harmony Heroines. She's a sweet girl who runs her families flower store because she just straight loves plants and growing things. It's in a shitty part of town and under a mountain of debt, unfortunately the constant Dark Forces attacks have left her with even more debt and it's beginning to look pretty bad. She could end up losing her families shop which has been in the family for generations, but she also can't just let the Dark Forces win! After all, they've already attacked her shop once.
As the tank of the group, she wields a massive tower shield called "Gaia" which has vines that can wrap up and restrict enemies. Other than Rei, she's the most potent healer of the group as well.
The rework makes Melina a bit more of a pervert and establishes Melina having a childhood friendship with Aya.
Minara the Tiger Warrior

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Minara the Tiger Warrior, fifth member of the Harmony Heroines. Tomboy of the group who grew up as the daughter of a mechanic. She loves good cars, especially motorcycles. As the brawler of the group, she fights up close and personal. She's best friends with Takane who she holds a great respect for. If you like your girls knowing Judo and not taking your shit, Minara is perfect for you. Minara joined up because Takane was already fighting against the Dark Forces and she thought it'd be a rousing good time. When Rei approached her with an offer to join, well, why the hell not?
Minara wields "Quetza's Fury" which is a pair of tiger claws she uses in her hand to hand combat. She also uses lightning magic to increase her speed and cast Lightning Bolt just like a nerd in a LARP.
Rei the Pink Angel

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Starting off with Rei. She's the girl who's always dreamed of being a Magical Girl and the first one to accept the deal with Baelstub. Having grown up on video games and anime, she's the "Sailor Moon" of the group and official leader since her good spirit and 'first' status naturally gets her the spot.
Rei wields "Doki Doki" a heart wand that she uses to cast magic out of to support her allies and deal with her enemies.
Takane the Dark Mage

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Takane the Dark Mage, the final member of the Harmony Heroines. If you like your girls Tsundere, then Takane is the girl for you. She's one of those punk types that lives and breathes for music, but it unfortunately isn't a very lucrative business even without evil beings trying to destroy humanity. So, she's on the verge of being kicked out by her Landlord who is kind of a prick. She only joined because Minara convinced her to do so. As the assassin of the group, Takane uses her dark magic to strike from unseen places and become invisible.
Takane wields "Rise and Fall" a pair of shadow daggers that she uses very fucking well. Try not to piss her off.
The Overlords
Formerly known as Angel Force, these magical girls were twisted into perverse versions of their old selves and made to try and corrupt the very world they had previously tried to save.
The Overlord of Envy - Holly Kioshi, Midnight Crisis

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Holly's pissed. In a world of rocking bods and giant tits, she's the plain freckled girl who can't measure up to the standards of the others. She's ironically the easiest to recruit to your side if you want the Overlords to work with you: Just show her you care about her, she misses the time in the Angel Force because it was the one time she felt like she mattered.
Of course, her yandere tendencies probably have a thing to say about that.
You can encounter her through the Tear of Vilnos questline (first intro) or simply call her after a meeting (second intro).
The Overlord of Gluttony - Stella Shirushi, Emerald Witch

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Gluttony's having a great time all things considered. She's got great tits, enough food to solve world hunger, and the ability to jam poison into Aegis City's most vulnerable at any moment. Unlike the other Overlords, Gluttony is playing this whole thing closer to her chest, pretending to be the ditzy airhead they expect her to be while secretly working to kill everyone in the name of ingredient hunting. One of the hardest to recruit to your side, but your best bet is to treat her as an equal and not buy into the airhead act.
You can encounter her when she inevitably tries to poison the city (Intro One) or by conversation after a meeting (Intro two).
The Overlord of Greed - Irene Barnes, Spark Sorceress

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Irene started out as a concept for "What if the Overlords really wanted to step on you?" Anyway the picture turned out great. As one of the Overlords, Irene focuses on acquisition of MONEY. DOSH, LADS. MONEY. The more money Irene gets, the more powerful she becomes. She's also probably going to try to own you as a result.
Greed's best method of encountering her is through Melina's storyline, as Irene is actively trying to buy out Melina's shop.
The Overlord of Lust - Vesper Lamayon, Dark Doll

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Sure, she's crazy. But she fucks like a porn star and she's the most ride or die member of the entire fucking series. Vesper will literally throw hands for you at the drop of a hat and if you want to do some fuckshit she's right there with you. There's literally no one in this series that loves you more than Vesper loves you. 10/10 waifu, would hug her if she cries again.
The Overlord of Pride - Emiko Arata, Sound Blaster

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
One of the most dangerous Overlords out there, Emiko Arata was the former leader of Angel Force and has the skills to prove it. Her Daemons of Pride are monstrous, her abilities top tier, and she's one hell of a... Pop Idol? Emiko is spreading her power by gaining the adoration of millions of fans, sending out smash hit after smash hit, and pretty soon the entire world will be a fan of her...
Emiko's plan to enslave the world through her music will draw her into an inevitable confrontation (see her first intro) at which point you have to either defeat or recruit her.
The Overlord of Sloth - Zera Reid, Water Sprite

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Zera is one of the weakest Overlords there is... But good luck getting to her. Zera is permanently surrounded by an Apathy Zone that prevents anyone from getting close enough to deal any damage at all. After working herself to the bone in her previous life, Zera just wants to laze around and do fucking nothing. Sex? Too much effort. Cleaning? Ugh. Food? Leave it at the door, she'll get it before it gets cold, maybe. Ugh, I'm feeling too lazy to even finish writing this...
Zera's one of the most difficult to encounter Overlords, purely because she doesn't do anything. Your best bet is to just show up where she is (because you're an Overlord) call her after a meeting, or other bullshit.
The Overlord of Wrath - Feri Knilo, Reapers Light

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Image above is her if you can redeem her. Her... real image is quite more grotesque.
Feri Knilo is the Overlord of Wrath and also an elf that was transported to this world. Baelstub works in mysterious ways I guess. Anyway, Feri Knilo probably got the shortest end of the Overlord stick. While all the other Overlords were able to keep their forms and generally stay humans, Feri's torture turned her into an actual fucking monster. Content Warning, this shit gross. Relegated to the sewers where she is metastasizing over the entire god damn city, Feri is an unstoppable force of pain and fury. It's to the point where even the other Overlords fear her and wonder if they'll have to kill her themselves.
The generic card "Wrath" is used to explore the Wrath scenario up until your rescue. This works for both male and female versions (written to be gender neutral.)
The card for Redeemed Feri is now out. How do you rescue her? Good question! Good luck with that.
The Harmony Heroes
Asato the Sprite Smasher

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Alright, Asato. Asato is your little brother and the second Harmony Hero of the group. He joined up during the assault on your home because he wanted to try and save your childhood home. Unfortunately he failed and his home was destroyed. He's great for a family drama character because he is just genuinely concerned for your safety and wants you both to be happy and together again. He's best friends with Ryuusei and currently lives with him as well.
Asato wields Muspeltien, a flame lance that he uses to great effect. He's a frontline fighter aiming to get good stabs in while the rest of the group keeps his enemies at bay.
Alvaro the Retro Pixie

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Alvaro is the final member of the Harmony Heroes. I originally left a spot open in case the player wanted to be the final member, but you can just do that anyway and I want to move past the Harmony Heroes into other groups operating in the Harmony Heroines series. So, Alvaro is here. Also because I need an elf. A video gamer at heart, Alvaro lives with Asato and Ryuusei and works a part time job as a host at the local Spider's Kiss bar.
He's cute.
Goto the Tech Knight

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Goto the Tech Knight, fourth member of the Harmony Heroes. The scientific backbone of the group and a diehard grad student trying to figure out how the fuck these magical guys actually work. He's studying Magisium to figure it out and managed to bully his way onto the group after he found out that Sakuma became a Magical Guy. Unfortunately, his schedule of being a ridiculed college student with a crackpot theory and nightly missions to defeat the Dark Forces is taking its toll on Goto and his grades have started to slip. So he's hoping to get the secrets of Magisium found out before it impacts him too much.
As the support backbone of the group, he uses gadgets to analyze his enemies and his signature rifle: Baldrn, to attack from afar. He supplements his attacks with ice magic.
Sakuma the Earth Guardian

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Sakuma the Earth Guard, third member of the Harmony Heroes. He's a sweet guy who runs his families flower store because he just straight loves plants and growing things. It's in a shitty part of town and under a mountain of debt, unfortunately the constant Dark Forces attacks have left him with even more debt and it's beginning to look pretty bad. He could end up losing his family's shop (Terra Life) which has been in the family for generations, but he also can't just let the Dark Forces win! After all, they've already attacked his shop once.
As the tank of the group, he wields a massive tower shield called "Gaia" which has vines that can wrap up and restrict enemies. Other than Ryuusei, he's the most potent healer of the group as well.
Mahiro the Tiger Knight

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Mahiro the Tiger Knight, fifth member of the Harmony Heroes. Boys boy of the group who grew up as the son of a mechanic. He loves good cars, especially motorcycles. As the brawler of the group, he fights up close and personal. He's best friends with Takashi who he holds a great respect for. If you like your guys knowing Judo and not taking your shit, Mahiro is perfect for you. Mahiro joined up because Takashi was already fighting against the Dark Forces and he thought it'd be a rousing good time. When Ryuusei approached him with an offer to join, well, why the hell not?
Mahiro wields "Quetza's Fury" which is a pair of tiger claws he uses in his hand to hand combat. He also uses lightning magic to increase his speed and cast Lightning Bolt just like a nerd in a LARP.
Ryuusei the Love Angel

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Starting off with Ryuusei. He's the guy who's always dreamed of being a Magical Guy and the first one to accept the deal with Chaol. Having grown up on video games and anime, he's the "Sailor Moon" of the group and official leader since his good spirit and 'first' status naturally gets him the spot.
Ryuusei wields "Doki Doki" a heart wand that he uses to cast magic out of to support his allies and deal with his enemies.
Takashi the Shadow Mage

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Takashi the Dark Mage, the final member of the Harmony Heroes. If you like your guys Tsundere, then Takashi is the guy for you. He's one of those punk types that lives and breathes for music, but it unfortunately isn't a very lucrative business even without evil beings trying to destroy humanity. So, he's on the verge of being kicked out by his Landlord who is kind of a prick. He only joined because Mahiro convinced him to do so. As the assassin of the group, Takashi uses his dark magic to strike from unseen places and become invisible.
Takashi wields "Rise and Fall" a pair of shadow daggers that he uses very fucking well. Try not to piss him off.
The Overlords
Formerly known as Devil Force, these magical guys were twisted into perverse versions of their old selves and made to try and corrupt the very world they had previously tried to save.
The Overlord of Envy - Tanner Sakai, Midnight Mayhem

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Tanner's pissed. In a world of rocking bods and muscles, he's the plain freckled guy who can't measure up to the standards of the others. He's ironically the easiest to recruit to your side if you want the Overlords to work with you: Just show him you care about him, he misses the time in the Devil Force because it was the one time he felt like he mattered.
Of course, his yandere tendencies probably have a thing to say about that.
You can encounter him through the Tear of Vilnos questline (first intro) or simply call him after a meeting (second intro).
The Overlord of Gluttony - Kawata Nakamoto, Emerald Wizard

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Gluttony's having a great time all things considered. He's got great muscles, enough food to solve world hunger, and the ability to jam poison into Aegis City's most vulnerable at any moment. Unlike the other Overlords, Gluttony is playing this whole thing closer to his chest, pretending to be the ditzy airhead they expect him to be while secretly working to kill everyone in the name of ingredient hunting. One of the hardest to recruit to your side, but your best bet is to treat him as an equal and not buy into the airhead act.
You can encounter him when he inevitably tries to poison the city (Intro One) or by conversation after a meeting (Intro two).
The Overlord of Greed - Teagan Briggs, Spark Sorcerer

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Teagan started out as a concept for "What if the Overlords really wanted to step on you?" Anyway the picture turned out great. As one of the Overlords, Teagan focuses on acquisition of MONEY. DOSH, LADS. MONEY. The more money Teagan gets, the more powerful he becomes. He's also probably going to try to own you as a result.
Greed's best method of encountering him is through Sakuma's storyline, as Teagan is actively trying to buy out Sakuma's shop.
The Overlord of Lust - Vaspar Lamayon, Curio Collector

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Sure, he's crazy. But he fucks like a porn star and he's the most ride or die member of the entire fucking series. Vaspar will literally throw hands for you at the drop of a hat and if you want to do some fuckshit he's right there with you. There's literally no one in this series that loves you more than Vaspar loves you. 10/10 husbando, would hug him if he cries again.
The Overlord of Pride - Chikashi Arayata, Beat Blaster

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
One of the most dangerous Overlords out there, Chikashi Arayata was the former leader of Devil Force and has the skills to prove it. His Daemons of Pride are monstrous, his abilities top tier, and he's one hell of a... Pop Idol? Chikashi is spreading his power by gaining the adoration of millions of fans, sending out smash hit after smash hit, and pretty soon the entire world will be a fan of his...
Chikashi's plan to enslave the world through his music will draw him into an inevitable confrontation (see his first intro) at which point you have to either defeat or recruit him.
The Overlord of Sloth - Avaron Ogura, Fountain Sprite

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Avaron is one of the weakest Overlords there is... But good luck getting to him. Avaron is permanently surrounded by an Apathy Zone that prevents anyone from getting close enough to deal any damage at all. After working himself to the bone in his previous life, Avaron just wants to laze around and do fucking nothing. Sex? Too much effort. Cleaning? Ugh. Food? Avaron's one of the most difficult to encounter Overlords, purely because he doesn't do anything. Your best bet is to just show up where he is (because you're an Overlord) call him after a meeting, or other bullshit.
The Overlord of Wrath - Vaeril Erlamin, Deaths Dance

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Image above is him if you can redeem him. His... real image is quite more grotesque.
Vaeril Erlamin is the Overlord of Wrath and also an elf that was transported to this world. Baelstub works in mysterious ways I guess. Anyway, Vaeril Erlamin probably got the shortest end of the Overlord stick. While all the other Overlords were able to keep their forms and generally stay humans, Vaeril's torture turned him into an actual fucking monster. Content Warning, this shit gross. The Undying One's Cult

Located in the Aegis City Discord exclusively.
Possibly a cult to Baelstub, possibly a cult to something else. The Undying Cult represents a new enemy type to fight across Aegis City if you'd prefer lower-scale combats.
