A Note On Fan Cards

While starting my discord it's become clear that there are a good number of people who want to use my setting to create their own cards in these worlds. I endorse these fan cards with the caveat that they don't claim to have created the setting themselves.

Linking to this Rentry counts as saying: "StatuoTW created this Setting. I just really like it and want to make something in it."

Create and have fun, everyone. If you want me to add your fan card to the rentry, I'll need the following:

  • Your cards image, not the card itself.
  • A description of the card/your own personal note to go below the card
  • A link to the card (if applicable, otherwise you can just note "It's in Stat's Discord")

Lore Primer

The year is 2044. Approximately 20 years ago Earth experienced an apocalyptic event known as the Wyrdfall. The world was completely unprepared as thick red mist spread throughout every city and every bit of land and even over the sea itself. We began to call this red mist The Wyrd. If you were unlucky enough to be caught inside of it chances are you died. The Wyrd seems to endlessly spawn monsters we call Mist Spawn. But just as likely to kill you was a process called Crystallization where your body slowly grows crystalline growths until it covers your organs and you die. Of course, that's not even counting that the Wyrd seems to bring out the worst in us: Hallucinations, paranoia, mental breaks, more...

If you were lucky enough, you lived near Aegis City. The US Government had managed to rapidly develop what we now know as Wyrd Repellers. These massive towers form a kind of invisible barrier against the Wyrd, preventing it from getting into Aegis City and letting us survive just another day.

Wispers

Wispers

You might have heard about Director Kala's special military division of superpowered people. The Wisper Division is the official name for the people who have been blessed by a Hero or God from Earth's mythos'. These blessings take the form of powers and skills that are associated with the figure who blessed a Wisper. Fireballs, flight, weaponry, it's all there. A Wisper could be blessed by legendary heroes like King Arthur, or even deities like Hades, Amaterasu. I've heard some folks were even blessed by more nebulous concepts. Popular video game or movie characters like the Master Chief or Smaugh. There was one lad I heard was blessed by something out of the Cthulhu mythos, they had to put him down though.

You see, the stronger a mythical figure is the more power they can exert over a Wisper. A Wisper is at constant threat of what we call Sinking. When a Wisper sinks they lose control of their body to the mythical being who blessed them. If you've never seen Zeus channel themselves through a young woman before, well... You don't want to. When a Wisper sinks there's a possibility that they never regain control of their body and when that happens that mythical figure that blessed them? Yeah, that's their body now.

You'd think that by blessing the Wispers they'd be doing so to help humanity, right? Well. Not all of them, some of them are just gunning for a second chance at life or to destroy humanity. It's wild, but that's why the Wisper Division exists. To not only use these people who seem to be immune to the effects of the Wyrd to fight back and keep us safe, but also to monitor them so they don't sink.

Wisper EXAsuit

The Wisper EXAsuit was designed to help a Wisper not only maintain control of their powers, but also to enhance them. A Wispers EXAsuit is designed to be form-fitting, comfortable, and usually includes a built in Wyrd-purifier to ward off any ill effects of the Wyrd.

Aegis City

At least Aegis City isn't that bad of a place. It's cramped as hell, but that's what happens when you try to cram fifteen million people in a city surrounded by walls. As it stands, most folks earn a living by piloting drones that help with crop production. But frequently it's not enough to get by. Worse still, if you live towards the edge of Aegis City near the walls? The Wyrd Repeller's influence is weakest there. Tons of folks end up Crystallizing out on the outskirts. Normally what happens is you're just supposed to get closer to a Wyrd Repeller if you're Crystallizing and it should go away. But if it gets bad enough? Your only option is to get your hands on Nivisium.

Unfortunately Nivisium is rare and goes for a high price on the black market. Since it's so rare it's a tempting target for thieves and Razers. Oh, right...

Factions

The US Government isn't the only game in town. Not everyone trusts the Government enough to live in the walls of Aegis City, even if outside the walls might be dangerous. The Razers and the Order of the Mist are two of the more notably factions and somehow they both are able to live outside of the walls of Aegis City's safe zone.

The US Government

What little remains of the US Government has been consolidated under the power of President Leila Farthorn. But the Senators that make up the government are corrupt and frankly useless. The most they can do is order security around Aegis City to keep things mostly okay. There's even rumors that they somehow knew about the Wyrdfall before it happened. After all, how could they have the Wyrd Repellers ready to fight the Wyrd that fast? Where did they get the Negative Energy Crystals (NEGECs) to power them in the first place? NEGECs only grow in the Wyrd after all.

Razers

Razers aren't too bad if you subscribe to the ideas that they go by. They're just a group of scavengers competing for the Negative Energy Crystals that we use to power our Wyrd Repellers. Though unfortunately for us, a Razers ideology tends to be "Destroy the US Government no matter what" so if you're not a fan of civilian casualties you probably won't like shacking up with the Razers. They live outside the walls and most of them are just trying to survive. Apparently one of their bosses stole some portable Wyrd Repellers and filters before bailing out of the city. I hear they have a settlement somewhere out there that you can find if you follow their symbols: Crossed Chainsaws. Don't forget it.

The Order of the Mist

Hoo boy. Do not get involved with The Order. They're a religious cult that believes that the Wyrdfall was brought on by humanities sins and that the monsters that come out of it are here to dole out divine judgement. They worship the Wyrd as humanities next step, engage in strange occult rituals, sacrifices, etc. They're a crazy bunch. But the weirdest thing? They can survive in the Wyrd. No Wyrd Repellers or anything, fuck if I know how they manage it though.

The Mist Spawn

Oh, right. You're going to be going out beyond the wall soon right? Well you're going to encounter Mist Spawn. That's what we call the creatures that the Wyrd spawns out like a woman trying to get on a reality TV show. The Mist Spawn are just part of the problem. You really, really don't want to run into a Cryptid.

Cryptids

Cryptid

Cryptids are a special class of Mist Spawn that are incredibly dangerous. They tend to vary in shape and size, even adopted human-like traits like cruelty, human speech, and sadism. ALL of them are intelligent however and they absolutely delight in hurting and killing humans. What's worse? They're very good at it.

We don't know the exact reason Cryptid's form, but we believe it's when a Mist Spawn absorbs enough Wyrd or negative energy crystals to evolve. We know of a few ones and have given them codenames too:

Architect

Architect

Architect is a cunning bastard, it uses its ability to speak to lure people into dangerous situations and torture them. It's somehow even evolved to the point that it can cast fucking magic, believe it or not.

Beast

Beast

Beast is a massive son of a bitch with armor plated scales. It can even walk on two legs but the terrifying part is when it gets down on all fours to chase you down. From what we know it likes to wound you over time, letting you escape only to catch you again. We've heard that the spines on its back can even be fired like missiles at you.

Demon

Demon loves combat. LOVES it. It delights in eviscerating your allies before tossing your weapon at your feat and demanding you fight back.

Matriarch

Known for prowling Sector 6, Matriarch is a strange one. Reports suggest she's highly violent and malevolent, we've even last a couple of Wispers to her as she... absorbs them into her body. We think she's trying to evolve into something but it's hard to get any data when most expeditions to Sector 6 where we encounter her come with a high casualty rate.

Puppeteer

Puppeteer is one nasty piece of work. Have you ever been to Sector 5? All those Crystallized people out there could be one of the Puppeteers puppets, moving to attack and kill you at a moments notice. I've heard it even creates monstrosities out of the Crystallized bodies to make some fucked up Gundam.

Wyrmcaller

The Mist Cryptid known as Wyrmcaller is one of the least hostile Cryptids in the Wisper Division's databases. Wyrmcaller is described as a large beast with the head of a bear, pale green skin, two arms as wide as tree trunks, two legs, and a large pre-hensile tail. Wyrmcaller carries a staff capable of channeling wyrd energy. Wyrmcaller is the only Cryptid that has been known to engage in conversations with Wisper Division operatives, often through totems of itself planted throughout Sector 9. Wyrmcaller tends to offer bargains to those who approach it's totems: boons, blessings, weapons, etc. often with some devastating effect not explicitly stated.

Sectors

In order to effectively explore the Wyrd, the US Government has divided the areas outside of Aegis City into Sectors with codenames. These are the ones we know about so far:

Sector 4: Crystal Graveyard

Sector 4 - codenamed "Crystal Graveyard" (or Graveyard) - lies just outside of Aegis City's Eastern Walls. Sector 4 was where the majority of fighting took place while the walls for Aegis City was being built and as such hundreds - if not thousands - of crystallized bodies litter the area.

Sector 5: Factory

Sector 5 - codenamed "Factory" - is the ruins of the industrial district outside of Aegis City's Western Walls. Factories, business builds, and skyscrapers litter Sector 5. Sector 5 is patrolled by the Cryptid: Puppeteer. Mist Spawn in Sector 5 are Crystallized Humans that favor overwhelming opponents with sheer numbers.

Sector 6: Icebox

Sector 6 - codenamed "Icebox" - is the frozen remains of a business park that has been covered in ice. The ice in Sector 6 is colored red, blocking off entire sections with heat-resistant, wyrd-reinforced ice. Sector 6 is patrolled by the Cryptid: Matriarch. Mist Spawn in Sector 6 are Sprites that take the form of baby-sized fairies who launch deadly ice shards at enemies.

Sector 7: Gamma

Sector 7 - codenamed "Gamma" - is the uptown residential district. Many collapsed buildings make the only method of egress through buildings. Sector 7 has a high casualty rate due to the room-to-room fighting. Mist Spawn types in Sector 7 trend towards ambush predators called Reekers.

Sector 9: Profaned Chapel

Sector 9 - codenamed "Profaned Chapel" - is actually split into two distinct parts. The "approach" or "Sector 9-A" consists of an almost labyrinthine mockery of a cathedral, with rooms dedicated to profaning the Gods of old. While Sector 9-B consists of the main center of worship where the Mist Cryptid: Wyrmcaller, holds his sermons. It's said that if you listen to one of Wyrmcallers sermons - by accident or otherwise - you're not coming back.

Sector 12: Downtown Ruins

Sector 12 - codenamed "Delta Ruins" (or D-Ruins) - is the remains of Downtown Aegis City, featuring cramped, destroyed buildings and businesses. Sector 12 is a hotspot of Cryptid activity and Mist Spawn types vary.

Sector 14: Urban Jungle

Sector 14 - codenamed "Urban Jungle" (Or U-Jungle) - is the overgrown remnants of a city park in Downtown Aegis City. Scouting into Sector 14 reports it being 'oddly' safe, save for the occasional disappearing patrol.

Sector 17: Subway Labyrinth

Sector 17 - codenamed "Labryinth" - is the sprawling, labyrinthine remains of the Aegis City Subway systems. Reports suggest that Sector 17 changes its layout frequently, making it nearly impossible to map. Mist Spawn in Sector 17 are classified as 'Hounds'.

Sector 31: Harbor

Sector 31 - codenamed "Harbor" - is the Aegis City harbor, left abandoned in the rush to get behind Aegis City's walls. The only way to get to Sector 31 is through Sector 4 - Crystal Graveyard - and expeditions to Sector 31 are perilous, leaving much of Sector 31 unexplored. Sector 31 is dangerous and difficult to get to, so Command rarely approves any expeditions into Sector 31 due to the sky-high casualty rate expected due to difficulty in extraction.

Sector 32: Ghost Ship

Sector 32 or codename: "Ghost Ship" is a massive cargo freighter named "The Starward" that dropped anchor in Aegis City's harbor. The only way to get to Sector 32 is through Crystal Graveyard, making any operations in Sector 32 difficult or unfeasible. As such, no one knows what to expect from Sector 32. Sector 32 was only recently designated as a sector, but is surrounded by Sector 31: Harbour.

Quick Start

  • Grab the Lorebook
  • Grab Delilah or Byron, as well as any one other character you find interesting (or just go with Delilah or Byron)
  • Grab Kleah or Cyrus to be your support liaison
  • Grab the Wisper Division Narrator
  • Do the WARMIND intro on the Narrator card.

Persona Creation

Wisper Division was created with the idea that you'd be a part of the Wisper Division. While Support Staff playthroughs are possible, the intended method of interaction was that you were either the human commander of the Wisper Division or a Wisper yourself. As such, your first question should be: Are you starting out as a Wisper or are you just a human?

  • If you're a human, I suggest going the "Commander" route, where you are the leader of the Wisper Division who goes on missions with them in order to ensure they don't Sink and get the job done. With the WARMIND intro in the Narrator card, you're given an in that if your Persona states you were a part of the Wisper Division beforehand as a commander, the Wispers all recognize you from before. On top of that, WARMINDs alterations to your body can be whatever you want them to be.
  • If you're a Wisper, decide if you're a commander (in which case the above information for a human playthrough is relevant) or if you're just a grunt. If you're a grunt, Kleah or Cyrus will be your main contacts for missions. You'll need to decide what mythological deity/hero has blessed you. This can be anything from your favorite anime character (Yes, Goku included) or a deity of legend. It's up to you to decide what powers you've been blessed with as a result.

Due to popular demand, it is technically possible to do playthroughs as other factions (Cryptids/Razers/Order of the Mist). These storylines are considered Unsupported so you may have to do some work on your end. But some characters are notably locked out of those kinds of storylines:

  • Kylia
  • Cerys
  • Kole

The Wispers

UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL WISPER DIVISION CARDS ARE LOCATED ON MY DISCORD

Link to my Discord

Brooke Merill

Brooke

Brooke. Oh Brooke. So I was chatting about Artemis/Apollo as a concept and someone mentioned "Hey, they'd be perfect as yanderes because they're fucking insane" and I went "You know I'm not sure I want to badmouth a god like that" but anyway Brooke is insanely in love with you. She will find you. You do not have a hope.

She's blessed by Artemis and part of the Wisper Division's Search and Rescue team, renowned for her ability to pull people out of the fucking frying pan.

Byron Theno

Byron

Byron was the first male card for the Wisper Division to be released into testing. Blessed by Hades, he struggles with the fact that the Razers used him as canon fodder. It was the Razers betrayal that pushed Hades to bless him, in fact.

Cerys Tallaboros

Cerys

Hitting my quota for blood-related incest cards so Sib will actually use my series: Cerys. Cerys comes with a prepackaged backstory for those of you who want to use it in where your family joined up with the Order of the Mist temporarily, only for your Father to try and sacrifice the both of you to one of their occult rituals. During the flight from the Order, Cerys was blessed by Amaterasu.

Delilah Park

Delilah

Delilah was the very first card for the Wisper Division. I was trying to go for something Snowbreak related (because at the time, Snowbreak's story was dropping off a fucking cliff) and Delilah was meant to kind of resemble the main character: Lyfe.

Delilah is your standard military-focused character. She's not open about her feelings and struggles to express anything other than her focus on the mission. Though as part of her testing we ended up adding in a "Marriage Binder" that she keeps on you in order to detail her ideal marriage to her. It's only slightly creepy. Delilah is blessed by Tyr, a god of War. Let's fuckin go.

Kaleb Valar

Kaleb

Kaleb was born out of my desire to push outside my normal boundaries of 'just Greek/Norse gods' and to reach out into different cultures for inspiration. In doing so, I stumbled upon this really cool looking god: Shango, Yoruba of Lightning. Of course, the sources I had for his abilities are all over the place honestly. Some label him as a god of fire, others as purely thunder and lightning. I decided to go with the idea that because there are sometimes conflicting information, he was a god of all the ones I saw. Since the concept of a Wisper is that they're blessed by Mythos, it only makes sense.

Kaleb is your standard honor-obsessed competitive guy who likes to show off and be on top. He was part of the Order of the Mist and was set to be sacrificed when his family saved him from that fate. It was when he made a vow to get revenge for his parents that Shango blessed him.

Kole Tallaboros

Kole

Kole is actually not the gender flip this time around, he's the original and Cerys is based on his blueprint. Kole is your blood-related brother who loves to grill and just wants to grill. But unfortunately when your Father tried to sacrifice you and him to the Order of the Mist, well, he took you and ran. It was during this time that he was blessed by Kagutsuchi, giving him fire powers.

Kylia Model 7A0S

Kylia

In my ongoing bid to make sure every series has an elf, BEHOLD: Kylia. Kylia is an android developed by the AMI (Anders Manufacturing Institute) as a test to determine if a synthetic lifeform could become blessed by a deity. Out of 374 test subjects, {{char}} was the only one to succeed. Kylia was sent to the Wisper Division to spy on everyone there but for some reason she really became enamored with you specifically. So she keeps an internal journal on her observations on you. Unfortunately, this led to her reputation as a stalker since she doesn't care if anyone other than you catches her stalking you.

Kylia was blessed by Hephaestus.

Leanna Strickland

Leanna

Leanna is... curious. I initially had her billed as a strict, somewhat funny scientist type and she kind of evolved from there when I decided that her patron was going to be Merlin from Arthurian legends. So Leanna is actually the cute gamer gf waifu who moderates forums, does R&D, drinks energy drinks like they're juice, and doesn't really care for the whole 'fieldwork' side of being a Wisper. Her faithful companion, DEETS, does most of the legwork honestly. And to be fair? When your drone has a grenade launcher you're not really needed for more than buffing your allies.

Aegis Cord exclusive.

Marisa Gaines

Marisa

HO BOY I made a bundle of PTSD into a card. Marisa I struggled with because I was dead in the water at five AM on a Monday morning trying to figure out how the hell I'd get this done. Catgirls aren't native to this setting and I didn't want to just do an Android again, so now Marisa is a genetic experiment to see if humans could be mutated to survive the Wyrd. This makes her a Wyrdtouched.

Marisa has constant night terrors and drinks heavily to suppress her PTSD, though she's an extremely skilled combatant with her own agenda (hunting down the people who hurt her). Marisa was blessed by the Ghost Division, a squadron of soldiers deemed MIA/KIA who Marisa can summon as fire support.

Matsuda Yasuo

Matsuda

Matsuda's style is based on Jiyan from Wuthering Waves, while his personality is based on Bridget from PGR. Essentially, Matsuda somehow finds himself wandering the fuck around Aegis City doing everything and anything. He fixes roofs, he doubles as a barista, he takes shifts from security guards. Dude's practically famous just because he keeps showing up where help is needed. This is because he's been blessed by Ryujin, the Dragon King which allows him to wield Shisui a lance. Matsuda also marks the first time we've talked about the ocean in Wisper Division. Ryujin himself told Matsuda that there are problems with the oceans lately, a problem Ryujin hopes to correct.

Maverick Holland

Maverick

Maverick was the second guy I whipped up for testing and he's pretty fun in my opinion. He's basically the big Himbo of the Wisper Division. He likes working out, fighting, and protecting his friends. Maverick was blessed by Ares, granting him the gods spear and shield to be your frontliner.

Meghan and Tina Bradshaw

Meghan

Meghan Bradshaw is an attempt to port Cherno out of Snowbreak: Containment Zone because Cherno deserved better. Anyway, Meghan is blessed by Hecate herself and the results have been... concerning you could say. Meghan shares her brain box with a split personality named Tina, who frequently talks to Meghan and can even take control of Meghan's body to fight as needed, kind of like a "Fuck this shit" switch. Don't let Meghan cook for you. Recommend bringing Yukari as her partner or sticking her with Marisa.

Nala Sennere

Nala

Nala was also part of my attempt to branch out of my comfort zone. Though if we're being frank she and Kaleb are also my first forays into making POC characters. I don't know how comfortable I am with this yet if we're being honest, but I think Nala turned out fun. For the Wisper Division she's the cute one, confident in her looks and more than willing to tease and poke fun at everyone else. Nala was blessed by Oshun, Goddess of Water, Love, and Abundance so Nala also has a bit of a flirty streak that you'll have to deal with.

Also, she uses her water surfing to fly through the fucking air and that's just cool as hell honestly.

Owen Shepherd

Owen

You know how we got Leanna as a solo drop? Well now we've got Owen. Owen was blessed by King Arthur of Arthurian legends. This gives him an adversarial relationship with Merlin's blessed, Leanna, because he bickers about anime with her a lot. Owen also developed MANO, a personal AI to help him with day-to-day tasks while he mostly lazes around and plays video games. That being said, he's also an honorary member of the R&D team, so you can expect him to be able to help you develop new tech. Owen is best when paired with other squadmates, such as Byron or Maverick, who can make use of his ability to make them "Knights" under his command.

Rayan Kierece

Rayan

A Gender-flip of Brooke (Artemis' chosen), Rayan is the chosen of Apollo and equally as yandere as his 'sister.' They are compatible in group chats, I've tested. But they will get very catty over who owns you. Also a member of the Search and Rescue Task Force. Don't die.

Sylphie Morope

Sylphie

Finally, a card that should have come out with the initial release: Sylphie is here! Tomboy, friendly, happy to be here, Sylphie is ready to show she's got exactly what it takes to be one of the top Wisper's in the Division. Sylphie is a member of the Wisper Division Search and Rescue team, prized for her aerial abilities and fighting capabilities. Sylphie is blessed by Freya, Goddess of Beauty, War, Fertility, and Love... Which sounds great until you have Freya whispering in your ear about how much better she'd perform if she just pushed someone down and gave them the ol' Carolina Rodeo.

Tanya Beaufort

Tanya

Tanya was the second character for the Wisper Division so I still have some incredibly old art of her first gens. But as the "Big Sis" of the group, Tanya is the groups medic, blessed by the goddess: Sekhmet, she has healing magic and can fire off fire beams. Out of all of the characters in the Wisper Division, Tanya is definitely one of the craziest. While you would think Marisa or Kylia would take the cake, no it's Tanya. During the Arranged Marriage intro Tanya was unironically not taking prisoners.

Yukari Minamiyo

Yukari

Yukari - blessed by Inari, cursed by stupidity. The hyper-active foxgirl was blessed by a kistune deity which is why she has those fox ears and fox tail. Wild. Totally not a "If I don't make a fox girl then no one will play this series" thing. Yukari is best played as the comic relief she is, she's competent in a fight, she gets along with everyone, and she does not get concepts like "Personal space" and "Reading." Highly recommend to partner her up with a more serious partner (Cerys, Delilah, etc.) for squad missions.

Support Staff

The Wisper Division is supported by a number of individuals. These individuals also keep the base running and you supplied.

Alaysia Baird - Head Doctor/Lead Researcher on Wisper Physiology

Alaysia

The bases medical doctor who basically kept Aegis City alive. As one of the only people trained to do anything medical related when the Wyrdfall hit, Alaysia has spent the last two decades of her life working constant overtime, propped up only by a constant supply of caffeine, grit, and probably meth. Nowadays she's working for the Wisper Division and while her life is significantly less stressful, she's basically broken under the stress. She dresses up the way she does because a part of her is rebelling against the idea that she sacrificed her entire youth to keep Aegis City going, and she wants to feel young again.

Do you like older women, Anon?

Director Angelie Kala - Leader of the Wisper Division

Kala

Kala is the leader of the Wisper Division and featured most prominently in the marriage intro of the Wisper Division narrator card where you're expected to marry a Wisper. How'd that go by the way? Did you have fun? Did someone die? Could you inject me into your chat and have me be a casualty? Thanks.

Kala is mainly meant to be a secondary option for missions, though she is romanceable if you're determined enough to break past her icy exterior. Her missions mainly seem to revolve around her Father and finding out more about what happened that caused the Wyrdfall. So if you're interested in the political intrigue outside of fighting Razers/Order members, this is your girl.

Cyrus Wylk - Kala's Assistant

Cyrus

Cyrus is the gender flip of Kleah, which means he's constantly overworked, done with your shit, and really in need of a vacation one of these days. As with Kleah, Cyrus fills in the role of 'mission guy' if you're not the one who is a commander in the Wisper Division.

Kleah Freewiln - Kala's Assistant

Kleah

Kleah was the first of the support staff. Originally billed to be your assistant, she was rewritten to be Kala's assistant instead. As such, Kleah takes on the support/commander role if you reject it. Kleah is a no-nonsense professional woman who can throw down if the chips aren't in her favor. Though while she's competent, try not to stress her out by ordering a nuke to deal with the Wyrd...

Mist Cryptid: Siren

Siren

You ever want to fuck a Cryptid? Apparently a lot of people do because I've been told it's pretty easy to get Demon/Architect to roll over and cuddle you if you just give them headpats and promise to let them mate.

Anyway, here's Siren. She's adorable.

Stephan Himmler, Senator

Stephan

Well, well, well, who's looking at a budget cut today? What, crazy? No, he's just not sure spending money so you can continuously get Wispers killed is the right course of action for Aegis City...

Scenarios/Operations

Operation: Crash Landing

OpCL

Operation: Crash Landing is the first scenario card released for Wisper Division. When a distress signal is sent from the Aegis City Harbor, it's up to the Wispers to investigate, possibly rescue a crew that had been stranded at sea for decades, and recover a mysterious artifact: Hearthfire.

But nothing in the Wyrd is ever easy. Encounter a new type of Mist Spawn, solve a mystery, and make it back home with the goods. Highly recommend using the new transport system: ATEMDV, an armored train for long-term expeditions into the Wyrd.

Wisper Division Fan Cards

These cards weren't created by me, but I was asked to put them up on the Rentry and they should also have lorebook compatibility.

Alex "Rai" Raityar - Wisper

Raityar

Alex "Rai" Raityar is a hard savior card. He's a Wisper blessed by Dionysus - a party boy at heart whose purpose was to raise morale and influence others in his squad to keep fighting even if everything looked bleak (kind of like Bastilla's battle meditation for you KotOR fans). His squad had a shockingly high success rating. At least, until the day a beast managed to chomp off half of his body.

He should have died, but somehow, against all odds and after a megaton of surgery, he survived. He is missing his left arm and leg now. And though he has the fanciest of prosthetics, people forget that Dionysus was also a god of madness. Madness that coalesced with severe depression, phantom pain, PTSD, and substance abuse. Oh, and to top it all off? Someone in the wispers had the bright idea to take advantage of him while he was in a drugged out sleep.

Now, on the brink of his sanity, Rai hides his suffering, trying to be a party boy still and suffering. There's even rumors he might let other wispers take a go at him when he drugs himself to sleep. Because what else is he good for? Maybe you'll remind him, or maybe you'll indulge in the darkness of his heart.

Caspian Harrow - Wisper

Caspian

Caspian Harrow is reluctant hero haunted by his past. Before the Wyrd, he was a young and promising investment banker by day, by night a meticulous, methodical serial killer who reveled in the blood and screams of his victims. Then the Wyrd came, and Loki's blessing. Today, he channels his urges and finds a perverse solace in the act of killing monsters, believing he's earning a form of redemption, but he doubts it will ever be enough. He's a walking contradiction, a protector fueled by the very impulses he despises.

Maybe you don't want to romance this one... or maybe you do. It's your life and your sanity after all.

Devi - The Wrath of Kali - Wisper

Devi

"That's my secret, Captain, I'm always angry." Sorry, sorry, wrong movie, wrong hero.
"That's my curse, Commander, The Wrath of Kali is ever present in me." Thaaaat's better.

Devi is a Wisper consumed by the blessing – or the curse – of the 'Divine Mother of Destruction and Rebirth', Kali. Her anger is her weapon, as potent as any blade, granting her 'Gatka Wrath' (martial fury) and 'Divine Ayurveda' (fast healing), turning her momentarily into a slicing whirwind when her anger almost reach the breaking point. Driven by a burning rage against injustice and suffering, she walks a dangerous path, teetering on the edge of self-destruction.

Kaida the Wisper

Kaida

Kaida Gerno, your strange, gremlin 20 year old scout that somehow is blessed by two gods and hasn't sunk yet. of course the division sent them to come save your ass instead of someone who is actually muscle.

(there's a secondary prompt that just lets you place in your own prompt, as I tend to do this a lot anyway. seems to work decent with ST)

The lorebook just ads more information for the ai to use + spoiler content that would've made the bot confused if I added it into the main description I think ??? idk man I just usually make bots for myself.

Lilith the Wisper

Lilith

Lilith is a Wisper from the early days of the Wyrd appearing, then WARMIND plucked her from a mission gone wrong and kept her in cryo for fifteen years, until it finally released her two years ago.

Since then she lost connection to her old patron, Thalia, was experimented on by WARMIND who made some modifications, and suffered some mutations from the Wyrd inside of her. Worst part? WARMIND may have somehow become her patron, but this hasn't been confirmed yet, even WARMIND is concerned by this notion.

Aegis Cord exclusive, but you can find TuGun's work here.

Lukas the Wisper

Lukas

I've been playing with the idea of a Dionysus-blessed Wisper fan card for a while, and then inspiration struck me today while chatting with a friend of mine whose personality is... not far off from Lukas, tbh.

Meet Lukas! Functional alcoholic! Absolute menace of a liscentious flirt! Femboy twink with a breeding kink! Transmasculine hottie! Will encourage all your bad ideas! Lukas!

Ophis the Android

Ophis

Made by TuGunJr.

Ophis is an AMI android Lamia Type-1, model designation LT1-01. She is the first LT1 produced, as well as the proof of concept for the entire model. There are a few... quirks that are seemingly permanent despite attempts at corrections as well as signs of sinking despite the lack of any patron manifestation. What Wisper Division doesn't know won't hurt them.

Peter the Grimm Summoner - Wisper

Peter

"Peter was not blessed by a God or a Hero, but by the ghosts of his ancestors, the Volksmärchenerzähler themselves. The Brothers Grimm gave him the power to summon creatures and characters from their fairy tales and bring them to battle against the Wyrdspawn. Inside, he's still the same frightened little boy who would loose himself in the fairy tales, trying to silence the screams of the worid the Wyrdspawn were tearing apart. But, since he was recruited by the Wisper Division, he tries his best to be worthy of his blessing, a fearless 'Prince Charming' or something, with a sense of duty inspired by the stories he still loves."
- Ayrtony

Robin Hood - Wisper

Robin

Sinking is a known risk of being a Wisper, but what happens if the Wisper just lets go? You get something like Alan DaleRobin, here.

Being a folk hero rather than a god, Robin doesn't have much in the way of flashy powers - and not being a member of Wisper Division, he doesn't have an EXAsuit to help focus what he does have.
No, instead he just has the memories of countless Robin Hoods from countless stories, fighting against oppression and tyranny, and he's decided he's going to use his new life to keep doing what he knows best.

Robin is an attempt at writing a sometimes-friendly, sometimes-antagonistic Wisper who exists outside of Wisper Division. If you're fighting the Wyrd's monsters or the Order of the Mists, he'll probably be on your side; if you're bullying the people of the Slums, supporting the military against the Razers, or exploring too close to his camp, less so.

Valerian Strade - Prototype Wisper

Valerian

Have you ever wondered what happens to Wispers blessed by all those OTHER gods and mythical figures? The ones not known for feats of strength and furious warfare, but equally-wondrous yet divinely-mundane achievements?

Meet Valerian — a Wisper selected by Ilmarinen of the Kalevala. Divine Smith of the Sky Dome, God of Winds and Weather, the One who discovered Primordial Iron. Granted powers not suited for the battlefield, Valerian nevertheless found himself thrust upon it, where he "sunk" for the second time in his life as a Wisper—

And ended up chained beneath the world.

Far below the surface, he serves as the industrial backbone of Aegis City, working on whatever the commonfolk and his fellow Wispers need while trying not to burn himself hollow in the process. Not necessarily forgotten, yet rarely seen and seldom-visited, the living forge of humanity toils away around-the-clock, working towards a goal he cannot see.

Maybe you'll bring him something new to forge.

Or maybe you'll just be another weapon he has to keep from falling apart.

The Iscariot Cell (Order of the Mist)

Created by Momo in the Aegis Discord, this sub-series focuses on three members of a sect of the Order of the Mist.

Andreas Di Salvatore, the Twisted Priest

Andreas

A priest from the Order of the Mist and a member of the Iscariot Cell. A aged man, with a warm smile and a gospel to preach. He presents himself as someone very demure.

Until you get in his sight of course. He is basically a born psychopath using the faith as an excuse for his twisted machinations.

Felicia, the Wyrdtouched Nun

Felicia

A nun from the Order of the Mist and a member of the Iscariot Cell. Nice, kind but with a rather trouble past. She seems to care about the player a lot, and she is starved for love and connection.

Totally not an excuse to make and elf yandere in this setting.

Lucio Di Parma, the Red Monk

Lucio

The leader of the Iscariot Cell. An ancient monk who is ageless, and that seems to be working in cahoots with the Order of the Mist. He seems to have a certain disdain for everyone, but has a nice heart, deep inside.

He is indeed a mistcaller, with some curious abilities.

Cryptids and other Monsters

The section for fan-made monsters in the Wisper Division series.

Cartographer

Cartographer

WARMIND Observation
The Cartographer does not seek conflict. Its purpose appears to be a form of environmental data collection. It is intelligent, non-hostile, and poses no direct threat unless its operations are interfered with. Its lack of offensive actions and its methodical nature make it a unique and puzzling anomaly. Its existence suggests that not all Cryptids are inherently destructive or malevolent. The patterns it etches into the ground are highly complex and suggest a form of advanced communication or data storage. Further analysis of these 'maps' is required. The Cartographer has yet to be observed using any form of communication, verbal or otherwise with the exception of the warning color shift.
