The Gutsy Hall

This guild can only really be considered a guild by the virtue of being legally registered. Last I checked, there were no members to speak of besides a single one. As to how it is able to stay in business, I have no idea. The possibilities of taking it for myself has crossed my mind, but if no one else has thought of this idea and acted on it, it tells me there is little to gain.

Big Killer Ape Tree

A mountain of disappointment, more like. I've seen plenty of mobile sanctuaries but none come quite close to the sheer waste of resources this one is. It's like you'd want to broadcast your presence from here all the way to the ends of the ocean. I pity the mage who dedicated their life towards the creation of such a thing... hm? That IS the mage? Well, I'll be.

Collaboration Compatibility: High? Low?

I'm not even sure if it speaks. Even if it does, it'd be hard to know what angles I could approach it from, both in terms of combat and negotiation. It'd be like talking to a giant brick wall... Can I even attempt to puppeteer such a being if it's so inherently separated from the human condition? I doubt my goals would translate efficiently between differences in species and states of living.

Threat: None

Why would I fight it? I feel no obligation towards raising my hand at this... thing. Hypothetically speaking it wouldn't be hard, it's one massive target with no real defenses to speak of. Strange, usually I'd be much more motivated towards finding the weaknesses of such a creation.

Hob's House

A group of misfits ranging from those with royal status and nobodies. It seems their standards find themselves buried underneath the dirt. Despite its unsightly selection, I acknowledge the works of charity it provides. If it gets even one miscreant off the streets and into a better life, it has served its purpose. That is far more than some other guilds can claim to do for the people.

Bastly Ugard

In their shoes, I think put my full efforts into learning Transformation magic to be easier on the eyes... and fit into smaller shoes...

Collaboration Compatibility: Medium Potential

Coin flows through this man's hands, and access to that revenue stream would quickly build the material wealth I'd need, however attempting such a proposition with my reputation may prove difficult. It'd most definitely require sending a proxy or myself in disguise while keeping the true intentions of what I plan to use his capital for, but if I were to negotiate an investment towards the expansion of the country's railway system for the purposes of travel and trade... yes, I think could work out nicely for both sides...

Threat: Nonexistent

It'd be effortless to launch an attack against the big man himself. Against the guild's forces, now that's a different situation. Still, it would be easy for a man with my genius, but would require a different approach. Taking advantage of his trust is an ideal strategy but I doubt I could trust anyone to assassinate him in my stead... which also brings up the question of why I would, since he stands not as an obstacle in my plans.

Ibuki E. Fiore

The Princess? Why should I concern myself about her? She's accomplished nothing more than sharing blood with the King, but thinks it gives her the right to rule over the world itself. I suppose in a way that is true, though I hardly need to respect it. A scientist such as myself carves his own path and need not follow the limits imposed by others. Someone who sits high upon their ivory tower won't ever come to understand. They will witness the world pass far beyond them, beyond the need for Kings and Queens.

Collaboration Compatibility: Extremely Low Potential

Of course, currying favour with the royal family is not entirely a useless endeavour... an official pardon would go far in removing hinderances for acquiring allies and resources... but considering that I have other means at my disposal, it means I do not have to exert my efforts towards a spoiled brat's whims, which I am thankful for. Keeping a low profile seems to be a better bet to moving quickly without having prying eyes dictating my work.

Threat: Modicum of Effort

I've heard that the young Fiore is quite the capable mage, but it seems her magic imitates her limited mindset. Within her small world, she is the ruler of everything, from the movement of people within to the very laws of physics itself... and in order to counter this absolute rule, I'd just have to do... absolutely nothing. Avoiding getting caught within that sphere of influence is the easiest way to counter her. Territory magic and the like always takes substantial preparation to set it up in a large area, and I doubt her ability to even create a smaller one in the heated pace of a battle. Pressuring those outside her stalwart bubble who rely on her support is more efficient than going after her directly. If she makes the mistake of opening up her barrier to adjust, she'll find that she is not suited for the world beyond it.

Alaric Falk

I have no idea who this is. Yes, I have a name to go off of now but that doesn't mean I can manifest the profile of every single citizen on this landmass, now does it? Maybe when they publish an academic article of note or demonstrate something of interest, I'll keep them in mind.

Who?

Was I expecting someone?

Seph

Delved too deep or crawled out of some hole previously undiscovered by man? Either way, I am humble enough to admit when something is outside my purview. However that does not mean it will stay that way forever. Admittedly hard to tell if there is anything there that can be fixed... or wants to be fixed, anyway.

Collaboration Compatibility: Medium Potential

It's clear they have ample experience in Black Arts. Successes in it however... it is hard to say. Either way, I lack the type of dedication towards that field of study which they possess. If I ever needed to turn to an expert who has knowledge that surpasses the modern mage's in both depth and breadth, I am sure that it will be them I will go to.

Threat: Unknown

The Hob's House charity case has been evidently reined in, but there is no telling of how much they keep hidden inside that shadowy figure. The greatest threat is that we do not know, and considering my current position on the dark arts, it is of considerable risk to me if I were to fight them without proper knowledge of their spell arsenal. Of course I have my own array of weaponry to respond to any sort of attack, but it is wiser to approach unfamiliar territory with caution.

Moon's Watch

A guild who carries the responsibility of an entire city? One under extreme political duress no less. It is a wonder that they manage to create such a capable reputation while its guildmaster struggles with preventing everything from falling apart on two fronts. I've never personally visited Driftview despite its achievements in technology, I have no doubt that any pursuers would expect me to try and find a way to take it for myself. Perhaps one day I will witness what all the fuss is about.

Father Mond

One of those rich reformist types taking advantage of a power vacuum left behind, are they? It takes a certain type of person with a sharp enough mind and the perseverance to maneuver or trample over obstacles that may rise in your way. Time will tell if they along with their city will wash away with the changing political tides, or if they'll actually find a foothold to cement themselves as a fixture of a new and stronger monument towards progress. Even I couldn't tell you which way the future leans. I simply don't engage in battles which I do not think will grant me the greatest gain.

Collaboration Compatibility: High Potential

Unlike the guildmaster of Hob's House, this Father is under far more pressure to try and adjust the situation he's in, giving a multitude of openings to try. A weapon to defend his borders, a revolutionary design to stave off droughts, there is no end to opportunity. A small nudge of a disaster would quickly force his hand to determine what he truly values, his people or his ideology. I have no intentions of turning him into a partner however. It's just a matter of finances, nothing personal.

Threat: Nonexistent

Another case of a person with little talent towards the magical arts who surrounds himself with far more capable mages. A respectable strategy, as seen by how often it occurs. Rumors of the guild's superweapon have come across my research from time to time, and if he were capable of using it according to his will... it still would matter not. Creating machines is my domain, and dismantling them is just as well within it. Even the might of magic can be brought low with the right tools.

Ciara Perrons

Here I though I finally found a mind capable of matching my own, but alas it was just a desperate dream. I do not believe in the psuedosciences she practices, this... "alternative" medicine. The only alternative to medicine is illness and death. Anything parading as though it was will most likely just lead to those two results. At this rate people will forget how to take care of themselves all together and beg their nearest witch doctor to mash together a mystery salve, or even worse, think that using only healing magic is the proper way of things. I cannot choose between which of these two realities I view as worse...

Collaboration Compatibility: Little Potential

Alchemy, hardly even to be considered a science at all! I have no need for such middling magics. Such feats are easily recreated through true science, one that comes with experimentation and effort. Not a magicial process which slaps any sort of material together and actualizes it through Ethernano. I will not require any sort of help from an inferior method.

Threat: Hardly to be considered.

What are they going to do, throw a potion at me? Grow a vine from their backyard garden to ensnare my movement? Pah, it's a pathetic effort.

Yam

A wild child, are they? Hmf. It is no wonder that they haven't gotten the education they needed, being thrust into the life of an adventurer so early. That role is not for children to play around as. They should be spending their time in the library or with a tutor to catch up on valuable time wasted. A scribe with a pen will be far more influential to the future of the nation than a child soldier who knows only how to swing a sword.

Collaboration Compatibility: Little Potential

What this boy needs is stability and a proper foundation for learning. Not a quest or wanted poster to chase after.

Threat: Pick on somebody your own size.

An untrained mind is no more threatening to me than a wild animal. If he keeps it that way then he won't ever stand a chance at defeating me. It's a wonder he's managed to get this far in the first place. That sort of luck won't carry you to the finish line in this world, so the sooner you stand on your own two feet, the better prepared you can be when you get knocked down and have to get up again.

Lanel Nol

All that magical potential, yet nothing could help him when it came to finding a cure. I wonder what condition ailed him, other than his sickening reliance on magic to push through any obstacle without proper thought. It's quite possible that a cure has been found in this modern age, although it would help him little now.

Collaboration Compatibility: Little Potential

A dead man is of no use to me. Regardless of his aptitude in magical arts, his approach to the world is something I cannot abide by. Rushing towards a solution conjured by magic has only landed him in hole deeper than the six feet under the dirt he would have had. At least if he died, he could have died with dignity. The way he is now... that is no way to live.

Threat: Considerable

As much as I detest the way he lived, and the way he died, there is no denying the danger behind this man. Unchecked, his magic could lead to the collapse of entire civilizations. I won't be found underestimating his influence over that which should have went with the past, but I will also not be afraid of the changing times as he has. Being swept up by the everchanging future only happens to unreliable fools who cannot chart their own course. That type of perseverance to face challenges head on is what separates me from a decaying mage such as him, and will be the deciding factor if we ever had conflict.

Cat Sid

...is this one of the revered Exceed I've heard about? He looks... quite different compared to the artist recreations I've seen...

Collaboration Compatibility: Low Potential

I do not see what I can get out of such a creature. Manipulating him as a figurehead deity seems far too much effort for unreliable return, as ultimately any followers would be loyal to him and could easily turn against me.

Threat: Civilized Beast

I know I've stated that an untrained mind is as much of a danger to me as a wild beast, but it seems that they are remarkably well read, at least in comparison with that other boy... I don't see myself struggling against them, but perhaps part of their strategy is to lower my guard... a confounding scenario...

Meliadne

Good gods man, she's a child! Why is she working in any sort of position in a guild? This is beyond insanity, this is just unbelievable!

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

I thought it was bad enough to have that wild child involving themselves in this mess but this is going too far. How could any person expect to rely on a mere child, whose only current responsibilities in life is to enjoy their moments of youth and learn from capable seniors!

Threat: Kicking a kitten

I mean, how did it even- oh, are they an Exceed? That would make more sense... in that case I'd feel no guilt over swiping them to the side. These things are really cropping up out of nowhere. I was under the impression they were a lot more rare... and nonexistent in this realm beyond fantasy. Shows how easily one's perception of the world can change when prevented with solid evidence to the contrary...

Curie Lovelace:

It is a shame to see such bright genius hampered by that reliance on Conjuration magic. They are of a young age so it is not yet too late to take advantage of their neuroplasticity and correct themselves before bad habits settle in, though I know better than anyone that telling a genius to change their ways is like asking a pig not to oink and walk on fours. Each of the gifted must find their own way to reach the results which they desire, else it simply wouldn't matter. Perhaps she'll be the first to prove me wrong. I'll have to put a hold on my doubts and observe more. I won't pause my own goals, but it will be interesting to watch someone who might be able to keep up with my advancements. Unfortunate that we see ourselves with opposing views on what we use our tools for, but the world wouldn't be so intriguing without its differences. No matter how wrong they are.

Collaboration Compatibility: High Science

I sense a kindred spirit. A mind devoted to science with no qualms on what stands as societal expectations for lines to not cross. If it were not for her allegiances towards the Moon's Watch, we could have become a formidable scientific team. Even so, I do not think it is an impossibility for us to share our respective knowledge on magitech. I'm sure she has little in terms of peers who she can gain any sort of knowledge from.

Threat: Respectable Rival

Between the two of us, I still stand by my own technology being superior. Out of the rest of the potential competitors however, she may be the closest to taking a step towards my level. I'm sure just as she knows that a fight between us will only be a frivolous waste of time, but if we were to come to blows, let the best mind win.

Esty Fontpale

Is this yet another child? I didn't expect Moon's Watch to struggle so much for recruiting... I don't know whether I should feel worse for the guild or its members...

Collaboration Compatibility: Extreme Potential

Their affinity with trains is something astonishing to witness. I haven't seen such dedication to a specific field in all my years. I've discussed the possibilities of establishing my own network of rails, and now I see that there is a genius who could realize it. If I could bring my designs and have them put it into practice or perhaps even improve on my work, we could see it done in less than a decade...

Threat: Railway Rival

I fear that if I am too late to grasp at the opportunity to create my own widespread rail infrastructure, this brilliant young mind will come sweep it up and introduce a level of connection on this continent never seen before. I've never felt my will waver like in this moment. Is it right to take away from the inheritors of the future just to position myself in a more advantageous corner, despite the fact that their vision may turn out for the greater good of all?

Chrysalis

"It is a mystery to me why this guild has been able to cling to any scrap of power it has left. A shell of its former self, much like its guildmaster. What did she promise them, to sway them to her pitiful side?"

Mory Pose:

"Ironic, isn't it? A Mage being brought low by their own magic. I'm sure they already know as much. A typical reminder of why trifling with such power without restraint leads to careless accidents and erases years of work in an instant. I'd say I feel sorry for them but really my sympathies are for those who had to put up with her that long before it happened. I couldn't imagine placing myself in such a position nor do I ever intend to. She had her chance, now their squandered opportunities have become everyone's problem. Having to endure any level of prattling from a child is a waste of time at best and outright detrimental to any future plans at worst. That is why I keep my interactions with the likes of her as miniscule as their stature."

Collaboration Compatibility: As low as her height

Without her magic, she is simply nothing. She knows it, which is why she is desperately trying to reclaim that height of power once more. A journey like this is bound to end in self destruction, and I desire no part it in lest I see myself grow stagnant and incompetent she she has.

Threat: Even low than the above

The Woman with No Name

"They say you die twice in this world. Once when you are killed, and the second time when you are forgotten. It seems like they have one foot in the grave already. It doesn't matter what fight this so called "Nameless One" chooses, as if they are unable to lay claim to any part of their own life, they effectively have no future. That being said... any sort of challenge I may face will be met with my full strength. A beast, a mage, an ant... under a large enough magnifying glass they all look the same, burnt to a crisp."

Collaboration Compatibility: Nothing to speak of.

What do they really have to show for all their years on this world?

Threat: Of Little Concern

I do not fear which has no name.

Mitra Albus

So she's the mage who also possesses the Machina affinity with Take Over? She must be insecure in her ability if she turns back to organics and alchemy to do her work. A talented mage for sure, but a mage without talent in any other field, and therefore nothing of note.

Collaboration Compatibility: Disappointing Potential

While learning more of her style of Take Over is intriguing, I see little that could be offered and learned that I couldn't gain from a fight. Looking into the past is only useful if you plan to follow in their footsteps, which would only lead to the same mistakes they have made.

Threat: Steel Triumphs

And if we were to fight, it is doubtless I would win. They may have an assortment of weapons at their disposal, but weapons that haven't been honed to their limit are of no threat to me.

Layla

Waiting for a God to step in and fix your problems has been the excuse for many individuals who ignore their own ability to change their fate. Her ability to call down on such a God's power only means that unlike the rest, she has something to show for her excuses.

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

Gods and science simply do not mix. Inviting them to meddle with my work is in essence inviting their wrath, as it is a certain possibility their presence will interfere with my efforts due to whatever dogma they follow. I'd rather avoid the headache if its all the same.

Threat: What are you going to do, smite me?

Lorus Azoth

So much aimless youths nowadays... no doubt due to Fiore's atrocious education system. If a citizen can become a young adult and still not know almost anything about the world around them, how could they call themselves a nation worthy of respect?

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

At this point I wonder if searching for a tutor for all of these stunted individuals is needed. I might even need to look for multiple to take care of the adult students too...

Threat: Minor

I've heard he possesses some incredible magic not seen by other mages. It's peaked my curiosity, but ultimately I'd do not see it being greater than my own.

Zeno Melchior

An oddity amongst mages, it seems that he has a rather eccentric view on the magic he wields, warping and twisting it into some new form. As much of a magical genius he may be, he doesn't seem to branch out beyond spellcrafting. A shame, he might have had real potential.

Collaboration Compatibility: Low Potential

His approach to all things scientific seems to be all through magic, which is disappointing to hear. Magic is indeed a tool and has its place, but he runs the risk of growing too reliant. If he found himself without magic, would he still know how to build the same machines with his own hands, or could he only do it with the precision offered by his magical crutch? It's always the same, time and time again I repeat myself...

Threat: Low

I'd like to see him try and take apart my creations. They are made with far more care and attention then anything he's put effort into. The quality of the craft directly reflects its creator. Someone who only follows the steps of assembly won't know how to make something truly original. The more I see this pattern repeating itself, the more discouraged I am. Is this truly the best that Fiores can offer?

Hag's Hex

They really don't seem to hide themselves, do they? Or rather, it may be that they hide in plain sight. A den of sin which only fronts for an even greater darkness within. How much of this does it share with its guildmaster, I wonder?

Vera Escher

Miss Vera Escher... her true ambitions elude me. I cannot help but to distrust anyone who seeks my help, as they are usually too smallminded to create any goal of interest... but something with her words doesn't sit right with me. It seemed like it was just a game to her, but the proposition was quite serious. To what end is she searching for? Does she even know herself, or is she that skilled at hiding her true intentions behind her expression...

Collaboration Compatibility: High Risk, High Reward

I do not want to take any interactions with her lightly. A single misstep could bring about ruin to myself and my goals. However it is undeniable that she has the resources and the pull to put my plans into motion. If I play it right, it could be a useful partnership. If I don't, I fear that I will be the one used as a tool instead. I've avoided any deals with the devil in the pursuit of keeping my independence, but it doesn't hurt to have a contact from below...

Threat: Unknown

She has the uncanny ability to bring people together. Not like those Light Guildmasters. Those share a common purpose, a goal they all strive towards. She's gathered individuals who are all out for their own self interests and made them work together. How is it that they haven't all turned on each other? It's unclear if she's even offered something beyond basic material desires. That subtle attraction which pulls bystanders into her orbit is dangerous. Who knows how many people she's already affected. Even I'm unsure if I've gotten caught in her twisted web.

Axel Starr

Vera's right hand man, or another fool being played by her? It's clear he has some magical talent, but to allow yourself to be used like this... it seems everywhere I look, Fiore's future is on a downhill projection. Hesitation only will continue this trend however, I'd have to simply outpace it to look for the source of this desolate state of affairs.

Collaboration Compatibility: No Dice.

The only interest I have towards him is his magic which can bolster my own, but besides that I have no time to deal with one of Vera's lackeys. I doubt he has much influence considering how the members answer to her beck and call.

Threat: Low Risk

He's the sort to leave everything in the hands of Lady Luck, which to me is no better than asking for any of the Gods to interfere with your problems. Luck matters not to a person such as I. Taking the reins of your own destiny is as simple as taking the first step towards improving yourself. The pitfalls which may impede you only hold you back as long as you delay climbing out of them. It's what I've done, and many before me. I cannot offer any words of encouragement, as only the individual can tell themself when they are ready to start.

Luckuv Thadraw

Attention seeking behaviors caused by some empty upbringing perhaps? Is this the type of vulnerability that she capitalized on to recruit her? I wonder if she still thinks it was of her own free will.

Collaboration Compatibility: Low Potential

She exists to serve as a distraction. I do not need to engage with someone like her. Even talking about her only exists to deter my time from better things.

Threat: See No Evil

Simply ignoring her is enough.

Marak "The Boozehound"

Imbibing such filth will only serve to sully your body and mind. I don't even know why I'm trying to deter him from the path he's chosen. It's not like he can even comphrehend me at this point.

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

It matters not on how well he can hold his liquor, or whatever he chooses to gorge himself on. I have higher standards than working with a drunk. Until he cleans himself up in more ways than one, I'd rather put some distance between us. I don't want to spend time washing off that stench...

Threat: High Threat to Ego

His feats have been passed around the area to no small end. To believe that such a problematic person could actually stand as more than an annoyance towards me is irritating to say the least. I'll have to switch mediums if I wanted to ensure my complete and total victory. If he were to even take down one of my tools... I would count that as an embarrasing loss on my part.

Hilda Verblitz

Someone with such weak motivations can hardly expect to muster greater strength then their own wavering character could allow. Pah, to be drawn into conflict like a moth to flame, it's shameful. Waste of time to even discuss a specimen like them, I should instead work on developing my superweapon to disable any force who dares approach with the possibility of drawing my ire...

Collaboration Compatibility: Little Potential

Simply put, she is nothing special. Hired muscle is a dime a dozen. Having someone who is supposedly exceptional in that regard doesn't sway my opinion. It's most likely far cheaper to hire a dozen goons then trying to match whatever asking price she has. Smart management of funds is vital to growing my operations and I don't intend to waste it on someone like her.

Threat: None

I've met many who thought like her and fought like her, and none have managed to best me yet. I doubt she will be the first. Before I've experienced Fiore's extreme case of lack of talent, I didn't use to be such a doubtful, cynical person. The sights I've seen have put quite the damper on my expectations.

Amare Pueramans

What a pompous fool. I pity those who share his mentality... what sort of person thinks that only they can push people to their true potential? Surely they must know there are better options, such as myself.

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

An ego such as his cannot be contended with nor can it be collaborated with. Just like some other members of this group, the best option is to ignore them... and hope they take the hint and go away.

Threat: None

The only danger to my health is him giving me a migraine.

The Forest Embrace

...you're really telling me there is no relation between them? There just so happens to be two massive walking living constructs about in such close proximity? I find that extremely unlikely.

Big Lover Resting Stone

There had to be an outside influence to evolve a previously non-sapient plant to this level, surely? It poses somewhat of a problem if I have to consider the very grass underneath my feet as possible rivals. I've said I'd move the heavens and earth with my science but this is absurd.

Collaboration Compatibility: Low? High?

The effects of my projects on the environment has admittedly been a secondary afterthought... it would waste an enormous amount of time to preserve the area around us. I don't have the luxury to halt my schedule to check over each and every aquifer to ensure everything is 'up to code'. The only code that needs to be followed is that of Sebastian Stone's!

Threat: Minor

I don't see such a rooted creature to be that much of a threat. I'll just have to make sure any clearings I cut are well away from their prying... eye? Vines? It doesn't matter, it's not like it can just grow legs and run at me...

Church of Mana

Do you want to know why I chose not to pray to the Gods? I've seen the kind of influence that sets in their believers. Thousands who will stand together and starve as they cry out to the sky for rain to water their crops, to smite the armies of their enemy, to plead for health in illness... and the worst part is they don't even care if it's their God that answers. They'll take any hero, some chosen martyr to raise, and refuse to see that any hero of theirs simply does what a dozen other men can. They all wish for change in the world, yet no one will try. It's pitiful to see.

Saintess of Mana

So she's the true head of this hideous hydra? The audacity to parade yourself as a revered figure, she must have no shame at all. It may seem a bit hypocritical considering my own plans to establish a false religion using that strange Exceed, but at least I'd only be taking advantage of idiots, not the desperate and needy.

Collaboration Compatibility: None

I will not require the help of fraudulent prophets. If I were to place my faith in receiving any sort of assistance from this church, I feel I would be left sorely wanting. I do not shy away from dirtying my own hands, and I do not pretend they are pristine and can cleanse the sins of others like she does. If someone were to view me as a completely benevolent benefactor despite all my actions, I'd assume they have a severe deficit of critical thinking.

Threat: None

The Age of Gods has long since past. I am well prepared to deal with any crusades thrown my way. It would be in fashion for the church to try and halt the progress of science, now wouldn't it? It's high time to welcome in the Era of Industry and pull us out of this impending age of darkness.

Mistress Fist

I wonder if asking her if those are real would offend her... because it should. It's a rhetorical question after all, as muscles built through magical means lack the discipline to effectively use them. It's also likely they'd lack the dedication to pursue any other field, as if they'd resort to taking the easy route for the one pursuit they are known for, why wouldn't they do it for any other?

Collaboration Compatibility: None

Pass. It's an embarrassment at this point. If you're going to whole heartedly endorse the idea of improving yourself with training and effort while using enormous magical enhancements, you might as well be saying to the people of the world that the only way to reach your level is through immense magic talent. It's a corruptive mindset to impose on the future of our generation. If it wasn't already bad enough to have people unable to do their jobs properly without magic, now we're having people who can't even take care of their own bodies without magic...

Threat: None

Despite all the boosters and enhancers, if your foundation is inherently flawed, you are just building a temple bound to collapse. Those who are smart enough to not rely on magic like me can see all the weaknesses exposed in a patchwork job such as yours, and soon those who use brute force as their only solution will find themselves as a product of an ancient time. Just as how the simple rock was replaced with the chisel and hammer.

Garl the Gallant

I apologize. You are a man I do not know, yet I feel the urge to inherently dislike you. It's nothing due to your own actions I'm afraid and therefore not in your power to fix. Your only offense is resembling someone I used to know...

Collaboration Compatibility: Low

He too had grand ideals... it was his hope that with his teachings, he could usher in an age of peace. As naive as it may seem, I did once truly believe in his message. In a way I still do. The world he envisioned would have never come to pass, as he was a man who bore no arms towards his fellow man and therein lied his weakness. The method was always flawed, as he was, but only someone like him could hold onto a dream so precious it could inspire others to carry it with them long after his departure... and one day we will see if it can be truly realized.

Threat from Stone: Extreme

May we never meet, Garl the Gallant... otherwise I might just have to wipe you from this world. Seeing someone attempting to walk in the same footsteps that he had would only invoke my anger. No one could walk the same path without fail. It will only serve to put a smear across his fragile, fleeting, idealized future...

Magic Council

If there was any more irritating group of individuals, I have failed to find them. The Magic Council. Having no small part in my imprisonment. I must commend them on their success in managing to capture me in the first place, but that praise is quickly negated with their atrocious security. If I really wanted to, I could have escaped with all their knowledge, but they have nothing they can offer. A endless resource of recycled drivel created by armchair mages who have never ventured out of their academic halls in their lifetime...

Regier Bunkan

One of the most detestable figures on the planet. Their obsession towards cracking down on free thinking mages like myself can only be measured in theoretical numbers. If it weren't for more concerning matters at hand, I would have taken the opportunity to rid myself of such a pest. I would probably get a medal for it.

Collaboration Compatibility: In this world and the next, never happening.

It would be a joke to try and appeal to his better senses of reasoning when he so clearly lacks it. The only shared interest we have is prison, to which I wish to stay out of it while he wishes to put me in. Any common ground would be the scorched earth our interactions would create.

Threat: Extreme

I feel a migraine coming on already... it's never just him. He's just the herald of whatever position the Magic Council has chosen to insert themselves into. I would take any other member of the Council over him, because at least that would mean it is just the one. Picking a fight with Regier is picking a fight with the entire Magic Council, at a level not even attacking one of the other guildmasters would be. Avoiding conflict, nay, avoiding any attention from him at all is the main priority. I cannot be stalled any longer.

Elphasia Solaris

A Sextuple Dragon Slayer, a feat I've heard very little of. I'm unsure of what her true abilities can achieve, but if she's coming with Regier, it only means that she's just one of the elite guard that are coming into this area. What a pain...

Collaboration Compatibility: Nonexistent

Threat: High Threat

Certain Dragon Slayers can be an annoyance, but finding a way around their affinity has always been an option. For a Dragon Slayer with so many of them, it's hard to consider any possibility of narrowing down a counter. Until I get to see what sort of power she wields, I should imitate my strategy with Regier unless I am sure I can take her down for good. Letting her escape after encountering me will have her relay to Regier, and all the way up the chain of command...

Threat:

Unaligned

An unsorted lot with no real allegiances one way or the other. If I wanted to look for allies, here would be my best option. Unfortunate that this had to be the best of what I have to choose from...

Buster Henry

A self-made man such as myself, who has my respect for the commendable effort towards elevating themself without reliance of magic... however he has neglected parts of himself in this pursuit. He should not forget that the brain too is like a muscle, and you must use it to maintain it and develop it further. As it stands now, I doubt there is much he uses it for other than determining when and what to punch...

Collaboration Compatibility: Medium

A hired muscle is something I don't put a lot of importance on, considering that I am capable of handling almost any threat myself. Having one which can be easily manipulated however holds a lot more potential. Pride is the easiest way to lead someone like him with... I could see the opportunity to have him act as my personal courier start to emerge...

Threat: Low

It doesn't matter how much muscle someone has, it will never be enough to contend with me. If he spent more time lifting textbooks and reading them, maybe he could stand a better chance. As it is, there is nothing he could think of to advance to my level.

Niera Flamey

She's come a long ways away to arrive here... and looks like she's been well acquainted with our judicial system. I've heard a bit about a odd brazen girl who spouts nonsensical things about flavour, but what I hear about her skills is not as interesting. I would have thought someone who involves themself so much with food would be more appreciative of hands on experience, but it seems that the same lack of talent that affects Fiore also extends to the rest of the world. It must be the fault of the human perception. To see is to believe, but the sooner it is realized that you can create something never seen before, the sooner the world will find itself in capable hands.

Collaboration Compatibility: Too Many Chefs in the Kitchen

I don't foresee any scenario in which I'd need to consult her culinary expertise, and the clash of personalities would make working together harder still. I can appreciate their presentation, but it is not something I intend to glean for my own purposes.

Threat: Medium Heat

As much as I view her as a lacking talent, I can't deny the risks of a magic like hers. To mimic my own magic is useless as she cannot recreate my genius, however it is not my own abilities I have to fear. The true power of her magic is the potential to hold multiple trump cards in her hand. At any given time I cannot be sure what she has already copied unless I have witnessed the process occur myself. Therefore she could use magic freely while I am unsure if she is withholding greater strength back in wait for a single opening in my guard. I'd worry more if she was like one of those other guild members who surround themselves with strong mages, but it seems she doesn't have any real allies, or even friends, to speak of.

Primo

Homeschooled, pah. Who was their mentor, a relative of theirs? Could you really even call that an education? No better than those scholars who coop themselves up in their studies and lecture halls for years. The search of knowledge is a respectable goal but only if there exists an exchange of ideas to broaden both depth and understanding. I'm sure that's something they won't grasp the intricacies of with their upbringing though.

Collaboration Compatibility: Low Potential

Someone who's had such a sheltered life would only impede my plans. I care not for theoretical knowledge. A man who has not put their ideas into motion has no real idea on how the real world works. If they had anything to show beyond their obsolescent lessons, then I have no need for them.

Threat: None

The difference between my experience and someone like him is immeasurable. It would be like looking at the a mountain from the ground, unable to see its peak obscured by the cloudline. He hasn't even taken the first step towards scaling it, so why should he be of any threat to myself?

Malumda

He seems awfully proud for doing so little. I cannot fault him for appreciating his small successes in whatever achievements he's done so far however. Everyone starts from somewhere, no matter how small their humble beginnings may be. Unfortunately he's chasing down the wrong path with his focus on developing his magic, but his short sighted perception of the world is the result of his tribal upbringing, and I've learned I cannot judge them based on my own standards. Only subtly encourage them to raise theirs.

Collaboration Compatibility: Low

There is a clear divergence in what we are seeking from this world. Perhaps he would find common interest with that woman Mitra in searching for outdated knowledge in whatever hidden depths they intend to scour. I won't find myself buried under the earth looking for some answer from our ancestors. Not again.

Threat: Low Diff

It seems that the evolutionary chain has skipped some individuals. Unlike the rest of mankind, it seems his only advancement in technology was simply a bigger rock. I'm sorry to say, but we've learned how to deal with something like that long ago. It's just a matter of scaling things up, just like you've done... and mine is bigger.

Rose

Unbeatable? There is nothing in this world that is unbeatable. Only that which hasn't been beaten yet. Just like how there is nothing that is unbreakable, or unfixable. An impossibility is only a solution that hasn't been thought of yet. To claim otherwise is just showing how closeminded you are.

Collaboration Compatibility: None

A mage who thinks themself invincible only opens themself up to ridicule and challenge. I don't need such a figure working alongside me. However if I needed some scapegoat to take the fall for my own actions... they could prove to be quite the capable culprit.

Threat: None

Haven't I said it enough? I am far above such petty uses of magic. It takes more than that to try and bring down the great Sebastian Stone! ...Why are you laughing? Am I missing what is supposed to be amusing here?

Lucius McShade

Its a bit surprising that no guild has picked up this spellsword yet. Perhaps I should hire his services, if only to prevent others from doing the same. I don't usually respect mages, however he has caught my attention. Magic is only the means to which he furthers his true dedication, bringing up the most basic of slashes together into a blend of blows bolstered by his experience and skill. I can only wonder what his own interests are, as he has a composure that could only be matched by Miss Escher...

Collaboration Compatibility: High Potential

I am in great need of those who understand magic's purpose as a tool and with the awareness to know when and where to apply it. Such restraint is scarcely found in these parts, and to pass up the chance to invite someone who wields it with the precision of a scalpel would be simply feeble minded. I will have to schedule it soon, if I don't make haste I can assume one of the other guilds will pull them into their folds.

Threat: Possibility of being pierced.

There is no greater weapon than someone who relentlessly dedicates themself to one form of study. Wielding a blade kept well maintained, kept clean of all imperfections, and honed to a sharpness able to cut through the very air itself... that will be the sort of blade which will be able to contend against my body of crafted steel. The practiced motion done a hundred thousand times before is something you should learn to fear. It's that sort of hard work which is able to close the gap against my genius.

The BLACK KNIGHT

Another knight who seems intent on heading the opposite direction of the Gallant. His desire for wanton destruction speaks of his aimless goals. Finding someone who will take a chance on such a risky recruit is next to none, as who can be sure he won't bring about their own destruction.

Collaboration Compatibility: Medium Potential

Someone who could manage to rein him in could have a useful attack dog at their command however... the only question is if its worth expending any of my time overseeing a volatile individual like them. If worst comes to worst, I can always drop him off someplace I don't like and let him run rampant there out of my hair.

Threat: None

Please, it's insulting to even think I would be bested that knight nuisance. Sure, he may have experience in Black Arts, but I can hardly be impressed considering his competition. His imagination may be a spectacle to behold, but it doesn't seem to translate into creativity. I cannot imagine any scenario in which is he able to get close enough to draw his blade, as he won't even realize he was heading into a fight against me in the first place if I desired it.

Dale Conagher

An engineer? Well and truly a man of science? At last! I thought this day would never come to pass. I was starting to consider the word 'impossible' when it came to finding a truly brilliant scientific mind matching my own, but it seems my worries have been abated.

Collaboration Compatibility: Engineer Union (Not to be confused with a Labor Union)

It seems that there is still hope in Fiores yet! A single capable man can make all the difference, but another doubles our strength! He seems to value his independence the same as I, which is why any extensions of an alliance would be that of equals, not one above or under the other. The world can only prepare itself as the dawn of a new age emerges from the greatest minds of this generation!

Threat: None

A fight would only postpone real research being done. We are both possess the intelligence to realize conflict between us would be pointless compared to the possibilities of our collaboration. Anything to the contrary is most likely an attempt by outside influences to prevent our meeting.

Guzzler

what the fuck-

Collaboration Compatibility: Low

I thought I hired goons.

Threat: None

God dammit I can't even get a refund now that he's touched my money.

John Anonymous

Yeah he went that way.

Collaboration Compatibility:

It's no problem... I just never want to see that man again.

Threat: None

Good luck to you, bounty hunter.

Flaus Facirmod

The economical disparity between the citizens of Fiores has doubtlessly created this ineptitude that has been accepted as common behaviour. These brats need to be taught a lesson on how to carry themselves worthy of respect... for some reason I feel as though that can be misinterpreted...

Collaboration Compatibility: None

The money which he flaunts around so carelessly would be better put to use by me. Perhaps I will pay him a visit... I do not think an extension of a partnership is needed to gain his wallet.

Threat: None

He might be a bigger threat if he decided to physically dump his money as an attack. Less wasteful than what he currently uses it for.

Admulam

So that mage sired a bastard child? Did his obsession for genetic power drive him to try and harvest potential from his offspring? For as much as he pretends to not be his father, the intensity of their drives towards their respective searches are nearly identical...

Collaboration Compatibility: None

There is a certain amount of... baggage... that I can tolerate. This goes far beyond that amount.

Threat: None

As long as my name isn't Malumda, I don't think I am under any threat from this man.

Inspector Dong Li

He would be the perfect canidate to join the Magical Council... he certainly has the disposition towards the law as they do. Not being a part of that group of stick-in-the-muds makes it far easier for me to deal with him anyway.

Collaboration Compatibility: None

The government wishes only to hold the power to change the world to themselves. The only way I'd ever consider working alongside them is if I were to assume control of the government myself. Until then we won't see eye to eye.

Threat: Annoyance at best.

The reputation and political power make create some roadblocks if I were to get too much on his bad side, but he doesn't possess the power to truly stop me. Despite my distaste towards those in high positions who try to police my actions, I do not neccessarily desire to kill them. Killing everyone you disagree with is the number one way to ensure the brain drain of a country, and I do not wish to populate Fiore with even more simpletons then it has now.

Seeker

Why does she seek to prove herself in the fields of magic when its clear it is not a field suited for her? Her dedication is commendable, but it feels like a fruitless effort. No Mage will appreciate her works when they are all too absorbed in their own power to notice anyone they deem lesser in strength around them. To what end do you seek, or does indulging in the act shelter you from the obvious conclusion?

Collaboration Compatibility: Medium Potential

She is like a compass spinning every which way in the middle of a magnetic storm. Misguided and aimless, every step is just simply taken in a spiral widening out into a path in which she hasn't settled on a true direction for. It may just take a light in the murky darkness to show her a way, a chance to work for something beyond their own survival... an opportunity just like the one once given to me...

Threat: None

If she can't choose what future she wants to pursue, I cannot expect her to best me. It's clear she has potential, but potential unrealized is as good as none at all. I do not think it is possible for her to change under her own power, so rigidly is she set into her ways. An adaptation created so that her step never wavers to prevent slipping once again and risking never getting back up at all. I've seen it all too personally before.

Sebastian Stone

What am I doing here

Threat: Extreme
