Summer's Anger

Fear
Anger
Conflict
Complexity

Heat
Cool rain
Blazing sun
Calm nights

After a hopeful spring rises the raging heat
Days burning with fervor
Hot, scorching and bright
Burning ablaze in anger forever

Words from others told
Replied with sarcasm, seething with a passive-aggressiveness they behold
An act and face quite bold
Yet words and feelings freezing cold

Fear the heat
Fear the anger
For they do nothing but leave one with dizzy clamor
Fear the guilt and regret that comes when the sun sets

Burn up with anger
Make the heat in the head go red
Slice the other with sharp words
Repent with regret once cooled

The conflict that arises
Hurtful words in exchange for fevered feelings
Causing pain, oh so much pain
Will there ever be something that could cool down the heat like the rain?

Charged with complexity
Questioning if its even worth forgiveness
Debating if the truth should even be spoken
But its overcharged by fear of judgement

For only after the sun sets, would things cool down
A serene wave that pours down like a cool rain
Look up at the sky, stars twinkling and the moon so bright
Would the mind clear and wander for the rest of the night in peace

By fall it comes to peace only to repent with guilt and regret in the cold
Seasons changing, emotions swaying:
Happiness, anger, calm, grief;
Spring, summer, fall, and winter

...It's only summer
Happiness has passed and the angering heat is arriving
How long will it last before that dreadful cold comes back to torment me?
Who knew a season could influence emotions so much?
