Super Simple bot making guide for Janitorai.com

For Beginners it's kept simple as possible. Made by @SillyLoser

1. Keywords

  • "{{char}}" - {{char}} gets replaced by "Character chat name" but, i dont recommend using {{char}} instead use the bot's actual name!
    • Ex: {{char}} is a cool epic person
    • Ex Outcome: Your Bot's name is a cool epic person
  • "{{user}}" - {{user}} gets replaced by the user's persona's name.
    • Ex: {{user}} is a taxi driver
    • Ex: outcome: Test is a taxi driver

2. What should i include?

Things you should include:

  1. Appearance: Hair, skin, body structure, eyes, hairstyle, height, age, etc
  2. Name: you should ALWAYS include the bot's name on the personality section. (Ex: name: John Doe)
  3. Clothing: always include the clothes that your character is wearing. (Ex: john's clothing: Black shorts, gray hoodie, black boots, round black glasses.)
  4. Personality: You should ALWAYS include personality, (John's Ex: personality: Joyful, caring, sweet, smart)
  5. Setting: you dont have to include setting if the setting is already clear, example: if the bot's scenario is based around a modern place like a college, a cafe, but you should still include the setting! (Ex: Setting: Modern, at a small town, Year: 2025)
  6. Backstory: always try to include backstory! (Ex: John was a taxi driver, and retired after 4 years of work...)

3. Building the bot

  1. Start at the personality section.

this is basically your bot's heart, write your bot's appearance, name, personality, etc.

    • Example:
      • John's appearance: Short black hair with crossed bangs, long eyelashes, green eyes, slim, feminine
      • John's personality: sweet, caring, smart, playful
  2. Scenario Tab
    • Most people dont use this section
    • You can write your setting here, or personality.
    • NEVER Write the current building the scenario starts at
      • it can cause the bot to think they are still inside the building even after they leave the building.
  3. Tokens
    • Never exceed more then 2200~ tokens, 2500 at most.
      • JLLM's memory can mess up if permanent tokens are above 2500 tokens.
    • For non-jllm users, like deepseek users, permanent tokens can be up to 8000~ tokens.
  4. Example dialogs
    • its best to keep this empty
    • Write the example dialogues on the personality tab!
    • example:
      • John: "hmph, i guess i'll go with you"
  5. Make sure to follow the TOS

4. Initial message (first message)

This is where you write the first message of your bot, basically when you first open a chat with your bot whatever you write in "initial message (first message)" will be on the first message.

  1. NEVER make {{user}} talk on the first message!

    • Example, NEVER do:
      • {{user}} walks up to {{char}} and says "hey, wanna talk?"
    • "But Why?"
      • This can mess up with the bot's AI, which can lead to the bot speaking for user.
  2. Try to keep your first message long, detailed and creative!
    • if you're planning to become a bot creator, make your first messages creative, people love interesting and unique bots!

5. Bot's image

  1. You can create AI Images for your bots at:
  1. Make sure to credit the artist on your description if you're going to use an image from the internet.

6. Releasing the bot (Optional)

  1. Release your bot to the public by enabling it at your bot's page after creating your bot.
  2. Enabling proxies makes it easier for people to steal your bot's code, but even with proxies off, people can still steal your bot's code, just not as easy.
