The Day I Met You. | Thank You poem for Heaven

The day I met you, was a day I can't remember.
The day I met you, was when we were just kids.
The day I met you, I knew you were going to be the best friend I can rely on, and will ever have.
The day I met you, I knew you were the one I can talk with.
The one I can simply lay my back against yours and have deep talks with.
The one I can laugh and joke around with... Without a care in the world.

Memory blurry, I sit back and sigh
staring at you with a soft smile.
Your smile... Warmer than the sun, fills my heart with a feeling I can't comprehend.
I can't help but smile back, and go towards you, hoping you'd stay with me,
At least, for some time.

The day I met you, was such a blur
A blurry mess that my memory cannot bring back.
All I remember is some drama, and then we got to get to know each other.
The day I met you, I knew that we would be sticking together, just like friends do.

Memories fade away,
I grow old and tired
I'm only yet a teen.. Yet my memory rivals that of an old person with severe memory problems.

The day I met you, is a day I can barely remember.
The day I met you, is the day that passed so fast.
The day I met you.. Is the day I knew... that I would..

Everything's a blur.
I have forgotten my words for this poem.
Everything's a blur.
But all I remember is you,
And how much of a dear you are, someone I care for and love.

If I ever forget you, please at least remember me.
You are one of the people I will find hard to forget.
But... My memory fades away with each growing day.
All I remember is how much I care for you and love you dearly.

You are the best person I can rely on.

Thank you, my dear friend.
