Interested in harassing me (including but not limited to: insulting me, calling me slurs, and sending me death wishes)? You can send me a message at my Atabook.
My name is Serenity, but you can call me Seren for short. I've also been given the nicknames Solène/Solé/Sol, Serena/Serenidade, and Luzia from someone. Certain people call me Sana, but this is preferably reserved for people within that circle.
I'm 17 years-old, but usually don't mind interaction with people of other ages if you don't make things weird. I'm Asian and, to be more specific, Turkish.
I'm a female using she/her and they/them; I prefer androgynous terms being used for me, but may like or not mind specific masculine or feminine terms. I begrudgingly identify as an "aroace lesbian" (and to be more specific, Aegoromantic, Aegosexual, and Cupioromantic). My typology is open to change, but my current typing is IFS SO4 EFLV.
If I come across as awkward, stiff, formal, or robotic, it's presumably due to my probable autism. I'm not medically diagnosed, but two professionals have told me it's likely from observation. I've also been recognized to have low empathy. I've personally speculated that I possibly have a depressive disorder, either PDD and/or MDD, and will have low energy most of the time.
My interests are Limbus Company, typology, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, Among Us (this is entirely serious), and Madoka Magica. I self-ship with Outis from Limbus Company.
If you'd like to be friends, here are some things you should know about me:
- We are not compatible if you're inclined toward selfishness, vengefulness, betrayal, dishonesty, condemnation, ledger-keeping, etc. or are otherwise ill-intentioned. Such people will be kept at arm's length. If this applies to you, I'd appreciate if you avoided becoming friends with me.
- I recommend Interacting With Caution, especially within conflict. I typically have no serious ill will toward people, but my emotional dysregulation (commonly manifesting in ways such as: acting in an impulsive manner, being short-tempered, showing passive-aggression, having frequent mood swings, being unable to relax when upset, etc.) may make interactions more difficult.
- Due to my low empathy, I often either don't consider or lack understanding of how other people feel. This tends to lead to insensitive behavior.
- I don't typically have energy to hold extensive conversation if it doesn't relate to one of my interests or isn't engaging for me. It's to the point that I've been assumed to be similar to SzPD; as much as I believe that assessment is heavily inaccurate, it should give an idea of how extreme this can be. This is why my responses will often be short and slow, but I'll do my best to be a good listener. If I can't respond, I'll react to your message with an emoji.
- I prefer people who can both easily give me distance when necessary and quickly respond to me when I feel up to talking. I can get clingy, jealous, or lonely if I go too long without interaction.
- If I did something wrong, it's more efficient to address it with me in a kind way. While I'm trying to get better at apologizing to people, it's easier for me to take accountability (as opposed to getting defensive) when it doesn't feel like I'm being judged or blamed.
I have no strict DNI criteria beyond basic ones (racists, homophobes, transphobes, etc.), but I'd rather not interact with people that: participate in cancel culture, are prone to being morally offended for minor reasons or none, refuse to listen to logic, can't critically consume media, and don't have common sense.
