¹ ⠀〜⇰ ⠀I go by Jeremy, though some people simply call me Uncle. Those are the only names I answer to outside of friends. Masculine terms are preferred, though I use he/any pronouns and genuinely do not mind whichever you choose. I am nineteen years old, bisexual, and, for lack of a better word, a cowboy at heart. I like to believe I can be a good man, even if I often feel incompetent, strange, or unjustly put together. My life largely revolves around the things I love most; my interests are not fleeting hobbies but pieces of myself.
² ⠀〜⇰ ⠀Socially, I am inept. I rarely initiate conversations and generally only speak to those I already know well. If I disappear for days or weeks without responding, understand it is almost never personal. I have an unfortunate habit of ghosting people despite every intention of replying. Ironically, this makes me appear far more introverted than I truly am. Once I am comfortable with someone, I become loud, expressive, and impossible to shut up.
³ ⠀〜⇰ ⠀By nature I am detached, blunt, apathetic, and often unintentionally abrasive. I lack social awareness in ways that cause me to come across as dismissive, rude, or uncaring when no offense was intended. I have little interest in softening myself for the comfort of strangers or making my personality more digestible. If my demeanor, worldview, or behavior bothers you, you are entirely free to block me. I hold no resentment toward those who choose to do so, and I encourage it over unnecessary conflict.
⁴ ⠀〜⇰ ⠀Since boundaries inevitably become a topic of discussion, I should clarify my own. I operate with very few personal boundaries unless I explicitly communicate otherwise. If something makes me uncomfortable, I will simply say so. Likewise, I block people freely and without hesitation if I believe it is necessary. I am perfectly comfortable engaging with profiction, dead dove media, and other forms of fictional content. Fiction remains fiction. I do not support, condone, or romanticize these subjects outside of fictional spaces, and I find those who cannot distinguish between the two to be profoundly strange.
⁵ ⠀〜⇰ ⠀The things closest to me are, unsurprisingly, rather consistent. I adore Brokeback Mountain more than I could reasonably explain. I spend an unreasonable amount of time listening to Ethel Cain and Sewerslvt, collecting inspiration from the melancholy both seem to capture so effortlessly. I have an enduring fascination with late-2000s fashion, especially the era of Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle, and the metrosexual aesthetics that defined it. I enjoy thrifting, traveling, K-pop, and games such as Identity V and Dead by Daylight. Outside of that, I spend far too much time absorbed in media like Sweet Pool, Outer Banks, Teen Wolf, The Walking Dead, and whatever else manages to occupy my attention for the month.
⁶ ⠀〜⇰ ⠀Lastly, understand that the way I write is simply the way I choose to express myself. There is no persona, no performance, and no attempt to appear mysterious or inaccessible. This is how I think, how I speak, and how I present myself. I have no desire to be universally likable, nor do I expect everyone to understand me. Those who do are welcome to stay; those who do not lose nothing by leaving.
