a moment's respite.

moments with ritsu like this was something hanzou secretly treasured. maybe it was because of the change of pace compared to UNDEAD, or it was just because he liked spending time with ritsu, but there was just something so nice about something as simple as tutoring.
hanzou turned the page of his notes over, poking ritsu's arm as he skimmed over the notes. the latter didn't move an inch, simply making a pained groan which was muffled by his arms.
"rikkun, you need to study.." he sighed, resting his face in his palm as he watched. ritsu's boredom was fully justified, yet he knew koga would be disappointed he isn't helping the way he said he would, then he'd tell rei, and what if rei-
"can't I just use these sessions as an excuse to talk with you, ha~chan..?" ritsu muttered sleepily, somehow shattering the web of thoughts hanzou was having.
hanzou giggled slightly, shaking his head. it wasn't that simple, and they both knew it.
"I assume this means you want yet another break for a little?" he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly. ritsu nodded in response, moving around the table to sit next to hanzou and rest his head on his shoulder. it was relaxing for both of them really, for ritsu knew hanzou was already internally stressing and he wanted to relieve that.
his hand slowly crept up hanzou's knee, then his thigh, only to grab his hand softly and smile. hanzou blushed slightly, trying to ignore the feeling of ritsu's hand holding his.
it could always be platonic or something, but actions like this always felt so.. intimate to him. maybe it was because kaoru and rei never showed him something so subtle. something like that, he guessed.
ritsu grinned as he held hanzou's hand just a little tighter, savouring the way he looked at him like a deer in headlights before relaxing slightly and sighing.
"I think the break's over, rikkun.."
