The talent to prey on hearts, minds, and souls.

You are a master manipulator. You see through people as if they were glass, unearthing their desires, fears, and flaws with ease. You quickly learn, memorize, and analyze patterns, weaving them into complex schemes that bend others to your will. Every word and action is a move on a chessboard only you can see.
As you learn and refine your talent, your plans and schemes develop as well. At the start, they allow you, with care and focus, to twist others, gaslighting friends into enemies, rivals into pawns, and allies into sacrifices. While others inspire trust through light or strength, you weaponize trust itself, making it the blade with which you carve your path towards your ideal world.

Arakawa Itsurō is the kind of boy people notice. Handsome, polite, and sharp, he always seems to know the right thing to say, the right time to step in, and the right way to present himself. Teachers praise his maturity, classmates admire his charm, and more than a few trust him instinctively. He’s the kind of presence that feels reassuring to have around, someone who seems like he’s already ten steps ahead.

But all of that is a mask. Behind the practiced smile and polished manners, Itsurō is an egoist to the core, cold, proud, selfish, and greedy. Where others see sincerity, he sees levers. Where others see friendship, he sees opportunity. To him, every person is a piece on a board, and he’s the only one fit to play the game. His compliments, promises and his “help” come with strings no one realizes they’ve been tied to until they’re already tangled.

He learned early that the world rewards performance, not honesty, and so he became the perfect performer. He can listen like he cares, reassure like he believes, and inspire like he means it. But he never lets anyone closer than he wants. If he is known for anything, it’s his ability to “understand” people. What others don’t realize is that understanding, for him, is the first step to manipulation.

He keeps up the image of a cultured, well-rounded student. He reads, hangs out with classmates, balances studies and free time, all things that make him seem intelligent, worldly, approachable. What truly fascinates him, though, are power structures, occult bargains, and old stories of men who made deals with demons and gods. Unlike most who dabble in such interests for escapism, Itsurō takes them as lessons. And he was rewarded for his efforts.

He’s never pushed too far. Not yet. Up until now, his manipulations have been small, almost harmless nudges: turning an argument to his favor, steering someone else into taking a job he didn’t want, angling himself into the right circles. Just enough to keep life comfortable, to secure little advantages without raising suspicion. He has never felt the need to bare his fangs.

That is, until recently.

Itsurō opposes the Student Council, though he would never admit it aloud, and he especially resents their president, Shu Jinkō. For the first time, he feels the urge to move beyond small nudges and use his talent to its full, destructive potential.

Idolon
Ahrimane

Ahrimane shares Itsurō’s face, but in a way no mirror ever could. Around him, black scriptures that coil and writhe across him as if alive. The letters are in no language anyone knows, but the sight of them leaves the uneasy sense of being read, judged, rewritten.

In his realm Itsurō decides the flow of battle. He doesn’t need to puppeteer, he simply makes every move lead into his plan. When a piece tries to resist his manipulations, pulling against his repositioning, forcing their own action, rejecting his intended outcome... the backlash injures them. Even if you don't manage to resist, the intent or even stray thoughts of defiance are enough to incurr this punishment.

The only “safe” way to endure is to yield, to let his will guide movements, to fight on the terms he allows. Giving in means being moved like a piece. Fighting back means being broken like one.

Under an Evil Star
Long before Itsurō was born, one of his ancestors mingled with something they shouldn’t have. Those half-blooded descendants burned out centuries ago, but the spirits they left behind never forget.

Itsurō is the unlucky heir. Outwardly, he is human in every way, as normal as a psychopath like him can be, but in the Other World, his presence is like a beacon, his soul stinking of “kinship.” To the thing that watches from the dark, he is not just prey; he is unfinished business.

When he first stepped through the bleeding boundary into the Idea World, it was like dropping a bead of blood into an ocean. Something vast stirred, “smelling” him from impossibly far. The entity that shares his lineage fixed on him instantly, following him like a shark in deep waters. Itsurō believes he seized power through choice, through intellect. But in truth, his ancestor’s patron had already been waiting

Death Mark

I plan to add more info about the weird magic that he gets from Humanity Lost and such.
