PENUMBRITE EITRITE

"you drip with venom, coating your very existence; creating something out of nothing with mere gestures."

Í Herská Hilmis Ríki; In The Ruler’s War-torn Realm
(a/n: imagine a Norse-only Gate of Babylon with some restrictions.)
Unless stated otherwise, every evocation only results in one weapon.

Skáldskaparmál has the ability to reproduce a replication of object related to certain myths or history and by extension, their magical properties. By writing a rune (words related to the property of the object) be it through vocal words or mere gestures, he can invoke the object of his choice into materialization. However, in EQS since there is a restriction in his ability given by Severus, he is only able to invoke myths correlating to Norse Mythology.

Skáld is capable of manipulating the items telekinetically without having to actually touch the objects, as well as replicating only partially (as in putting their magical properties into different object or calling different form of the object with retained magical properties).

List of objects that appeared/will appear:

  • FORSETI
    • The water-bearer, evoked using the rune vatnið, meaning water.
      • The original myth: when Forseti's axe is thrown to the ground, spring water would come forth.
      • Skáld is capable of manipulating the water, as long as the axe's blade is stuck to the ground/surface.
  • DRAUPNIR
    • The self-multiplying, evoked using the rune æxla, meaning to multiply.
      • The original myth: Draupnir is capable of replicating its form (originally a ring), producing 9 rings of exact shape and quality.
      • Draupnir enables Skáld to multiply the object bound to it (for example, multiplying a Draupnir-infused bullet).
  • HRÆSVELGR
    • The corpse-swallower, evoked using the rune fúna, meaning to rot.
      • The original myth: Hræsvelgr is an eagle, said to be the originator of wind who remains perched on top of the heaven's end.
      • Hræsvelgr enables Skáld to manipulate wind but due to its original myth being a living creature, the property Skáld can give is only to repel incoming projectiles or to surround himself with wind. As Hræsvelgr is a mythical creature (not created by man), it is very volatile and hard to control. Hræsvelgr cannot be summoned as a weapon.
  • GUNGNIR
    • The never-miss, evoked using the rune konungr, meaning king.
      • The original myth: Gungnir is Odin's spear created by Sons of Ivaldi; it will always hit its target, regardless of skill.
      • Skáld is capable of manipulating creating weapons that has high amount of accuracy, however it is still be able to be blocked (it is not a homing weapon) and if the form is not a lance, then the accuracy will go down. Skáld cannot use it as a close-quarter weapon, only as a thrown object.
  • REGINNAGLAR
    • The sacred nails, evoked using the rune heilagr, meaning sacred.
      • The original myth: Reginnaglar is a set of sacred nails, used for religious ceremony.
      • Reginnaglar enables Skáld to conjure light elemental objects. The objects themselves have less damage compared to other weapons Skáld capable of evoking, but Reginnaglar wins in terms of quantity. Reginnaglar's default form is nails and Skáld cannot call Reginnaglar only in its singular form, however it can be called into something else with lesser effect. Reginnaglar cannot be passed down to other users as it will instantly disappear once used.
