How to Decode an Atmos File to get the stems

  1. Get Dolby Reference Player for windows and install it trought the .msi file
  2. Launch "CMD" and paste this command : cd "C:\Program Files\Dolby\Dolby Reference Player"
  3. Then paste this next command : gst-launch-1.0 --gst-plugin-path="C:\Program Files\Dolby\Dolby Reference Player\gst-plugins" ^ filesrc location="Your\\Original\\AtmosFile\\Path.m4a" ! ^ qtdemux ! ^ dlbac3parse ! ^ dlbac3dec drop-delay=true drc-mode=rf out-ch-config=21 ! ^ dlboar drop-delay=true out-ch-config=20 ! ^ wavenc ! ^ filesink location="Wanted\\Path\\ToYour\\Output\\MusicFile.wav"
  4. Normaly you should recieve a .wav file at the output path you choosed
  5. Then open your DAW such as Audacity and place it your new .wav file. Normaly you should see multiple tracks, these are the splitted stems of your original Atmos file !
