AUTISTIC GATEKEEPING
Autistic gatekeeping is when an autistic person gets attached to something differently than someone who's allistic would. This causes said person to gatekeep that thing, as they dont want anyone else to "have it." This does not occur with all autistic people, but it is extremely common and can be a very big deal to some. If disrespected, it can cause anything from negitive emotions or upsetness, to full blown meltdowns. It isnt something that autistic people can control, so please be mindful of it and respect peoples boundaries.
