Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

The design is also better than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to know whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have many additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do very well at cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.

If you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. budget robot vacuum guides you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The main aspect that makes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
