"Check dis out, Rhae. The alphabet goes like this, repeat after me! A..B..C..D.."

As it turned out, the rosary beads were yet another failure in Vergil’s many attempts to outdo his younger brother. The brown beads, previously considered a promising symbol of the beginning of a bright streak in the elder brother's bleak existence, turned out to be yet another burden. A tangible, very noticeable burden. As it was discovered, the rhodonite jewelry served as a vessel for some dark-skinned creature, whose unruly locks of hair rivaled the raging flames themselves in their inimitable crimson brightness.

Ever since Vergil's combat-hardened fingertips thoughtfully reached at the cold rosary beads that had recently been drowning in a pool of blood, the creature had flatly refused to maintain any distance from the youth, bolstering its rather flimsy argument by claiming that it,the Spirit of the Forge, has found its purpose ("saying" in its case would have been an exaggeration; it was more likely pitifully communicating through pathetic gestures ). No matter how many times the explanation was repeated, the being pressed itself closer and closer to Vergil’s leg, much to Dante's laughter. The creature's obvious affection for his elder brother did not go unnoticed by the caring younger brother. Encouraged by Vergil’s embarrassment at the unusual amount of attention being directed at him, Dante did not hesitate to take the creature under his wing - personally calling it Rhaenor, persistently instructing it in the teachings of human speech and doing his best to hide the Spirit of the Forge from the prying eyes of their mother, along with Vergil, who approached the matter with greatest caution, only for the sake of not once again falling behind his younger brother.
