❝ I burn, and in my heart, hitherto disengaged, does Love hold sway. ❞

divider ao3 - tumblr - pinterest - twitter - strawpage hello, you can just call me azuio. i am a painter of worlds half-decayed and half-divine. poet and ao3 author, my works focus around religion and sin, the heavy breath of the american south, the endless dust of western rural living, and the politics that rule this region.
i write almost exclusively write men loving men pairings. in those, i adore themes of love that is both bruise and benediction. love that eats itself alive and still returns. love that brings you to your knees. i also write nsfw on my ao3, so please read the tags accordingly before you click on any works of mine. as for details about myself, i am nineteen, and my pronouns are he him. you can find all of my links above.

dni: i don't have a dni minus being below 15. but this is the internet so people will interact anyway. so long as you don't post traumatizing stuff that i somehow see on my tl then idgaf!

likes: dogs, writing, metal, rock, rap, hip & hop, country, black coffee, unsweet tea, high fantasy, chocolate, anything peanut butter, the okc thunder, my glorious king russell westbrook, ou sooners (sometimes, it's hard), earthy tones

dislikes: centrists, republicans, overly sweet drinks, pizza, pasta, & most italian food, most sad/mellow songs, the kansas city chiefs, the dallas cowboys (minus ceedee lamb), the golden state warriors

as you can probably tell from glancing at my twittee or reading this, i love sports. my father indoctrinated me with basketball at a young age. i grew up watching michael jordan's chicago bulls videos on youtube, especially that video of their intro to the game 6 of the 1997 nba finals. i'm the fan of the okc thunder since their conception due to my father. my cradle had a thunder and an ou sooners flag next to it.

i am the "i listen to everything" final boss. i always have something playing so i can concentrate. my favorite genres were listed already, but i'm also very open-minded towards everything. i listen to quite literally anything. i love country, i've dabbled in kpop, and i even listen to classical and orchestra music. gregorian chants. anything. but if i had to round it down to two, i'd say i listen to metal and hip hop/rap the most. please please please if you love a tribe called quest, nas, metallica, pantera, crowbar, sevendust, project pat, rakim, future, gojira... most likely any artists from those genres i've listened to.

divider bookshelf my bookshelf consists of the authors and their works that haunt me. i siphon from them like a moth sipping from light; their diction and tone is what made me the author i am today. if you find something magnetic in my own writing, you’ll probably trace its themes back to them. if you’re ever in need of a spark of inspiration or simply a book to read, these are works of literature that i press into your palms.
