I and others are currently having an issue with the YouTube for Televisions app.

Like many times in the past, people respond thinking that I am talking about the YouTube TV app. If I point out that YouTube TV and YouTube for Televisions are two different apps, they seem to use language that suggests almost a feigning of ignorance of this fact, and continue to say that I should come here to the YouTube TV Help Community to post about issues regarding the YouTube for Televisions app.

The problem is, this help community seems to be exclusively for the YouTube TV app.

In the YouTube Help Community, when you post a question or issue, it asks which version of YouTube that you are using - iOS, Android, or Web. There is no option for the YouTube for Televisions app. That would seem to suggest that the YouTube for Televisions app is unsupported! Is that in fact true? If it is not true, and neither this community nor the YouTube Help Community are the place to post about issues relating to the YouTube for Televisions app, then, what is the correct avenue for a user to get support for it?

I am posting the below just to clarify the fact that YouTube for Televisions and YouTube TV are two different apps.

The YouTube TV app is not the same as the YouTube for Televisions app (sometimes called the YouTube on Televisions app). YouTube TV is an app that replaces cable TV. YouTube for Televisions, on the other hand, is for streaming regular YouTube content on streaming devices like Roku and Amazon Fire, video game consoles like the Playstation and Xbox, and smart TV's.

This confusion seems to arise nearly every time an issue is posted to the YouTube Help Community regarding the YouTube for Televisions app.

People mistakenly thinking that YouTube for Televisions = YouTube TV is understandable because these two different apps sound so similar. This problem could be resolved if Google would simply come up with an official name for the YouTube for Televisions app that does not sound like "YouTube TV", and include an option for it in the YouTube Help Community, in addition to iOS, Android, and Web. (Or make a separate community for it; since there seems to be no "official" option or community for problems with the YouTube for Televisions app, it seems to imply that it is unsupported... unless that's actually true?)

So, to be clear: In the below image, the YouTube for Televisions app is on the left. This support community seems to be exclusively for the YouTube TV app, which appears to the right of the YouTube for Televisions app in the below image:

In the YouTube for Televisions app, there is a  menu option in the lower left that has a button that will take the user out of the YouTube for Televisions app and into the YouTube TV app:

Hopefully my question is clear for anyone and everyone to understand... I tried my best! :
