I. INTRODUCTION
Jace Tavariah Carnell (/jays/ /tav-a-ri-ah/ /kar-nell/) is a name that carries a heartfelt meaning. Jace, rooted in the name Jason, a name I carry as a reminder to be a healer, someone who mends more than they break. Tavariah, inspired by the Hebrew's name Tavia, adds a gentle layer of faith, meaning God is good, softening the name with quiet grace. Carnell, drawn from the carnation, my birth flower, a symbol of blooming even in ordinary seasons.
I believe God’s goodness placed me here to heal something. I may not fully know what it is yet. It might be a heart, a memory, a space, or simply the silence between people. But I know it lives in the way I move through the world. Like flowers blooming in their own time, I’m still growing into that purpose.
I go by they/them, and I’m 25+, legal, grown, and admittedly busy with life. Because of that, I don’t take connection lightly. Even one or two genuine interactions can ease the weight of my day and make everything feel a little softer.
II. A SMALL NOTE TO SHARE
I don’t say much unless it feels honest. Even if that honesty sometimes sounds a bit raw. So now and then, you might come across a few rough edges in the way I speak. When calm begins to fade, the eyes leave the page to follow a badminton match, or scenes unfolding on a screen, a film, a series, a story told in motion.
