Okina swirled the straw in her beverage around as she looked out into the vista beyond. The night sky's wind howling created a mysterious feeling not too unlike her home pocket dimension, which quickly began to degrade the emotional honeymoon the scenery had given her hours before. So much had happened in the last few days alone, let alone the day this charade of horrid memories and actions nicknamed “The Hakurei Shrine Experience” began. Despite it being on the back of her mind for the past few months, it feels like it only just began operation last week.
So many conflicting emotions washing and bashing against each other. She knew leaving Mai and Satono far away from her hands was the correct move, but having underlings has always been a staple of her modus operandi since her early years as a god. Is this really the end of such a beloved tradition? Or will she slip back into her habits again and brainwash another dozen or so humans into her enthusiastic yesmen in due time? And what about Mrs. Matara herself? Not like this single kind deed she did will undo the cold murder of two of the biggest helping cogs. Sure, Cirno and Nazrin couldn’t read minds or ever unleash their secret giant colossal monster form & gave Flandre Scarlet a run for her money. But it could never warrant just revoking them of their life.
Nazrin especially. Cirno? She’s a fairy. It was a macab demise , but Fairies are resistant little pests and often voluntarily get themselves into some gruesome situations. They’d drink themselves to death with medical toxin and then come back in an afternoon if they felt like it. There’s always a chance the strongest can come back. But Nazrin…
Okina sighed as she moved her thumb and two fingers up to her . “She had a mentor, didn’t she?” the backdoor queen muttered under her breath. Yeah, she remembered on occasion the mouse youkai would bring up one Shou Toramaru of Byakuren’s Faith Organization.
The mistress of doors quickly shook her head to her right. She began to feel an uncomfortably familiar feeling of delusional panic in her stomach. It felt as if there was an unseeable energy comparable to her very own backdoors beginning to form.

“No… NO! Please! Look, I won’t tell anybody about… whatever happened today! Okay? We have a deal?” Mike blathered. She figured today would’ve been a near perfect day to open up shop. But not only did the gamble of this spot in the middle of nowhere not really pay off, it meant that nobody else was around. Now this doesn’t sound horrible on paper. I mean, no competition sounds like a great thing! However Mike didn’t account for that also meaning that nobody else would be around and able to help when a manic version of that Yamawaro from the mountain tried killing her.
“Y-You wanna buy something instead? I've got glitter glue! You like glitter glue? With googly eyes? A-Are you part of the Mafia or something? Please, I think you have the wrong guy here. I’ve never had any relation-”
Before the cat could even finish speaking, the horned pseudo-Tanake slammed her boot on the crippled kitty to keep it in place. She sheathed her blade from within her clothes and raised it upwards.
“NO! HELP! SOMEBODY HELP, THERE’S A-”
With a quick, precise stab to the chest and a couple of pained gurgles, the night’s air went silent once again.
