Class Story - Slam Days (Part 5)
Rui: Alright, let’s settle this with a game.
The winner gets to nominate the leader by force. Sounds good?
Lance: Okay. So, what type of game are we playing?
Rui: Rhythms Game. But, since I have a huge advantage in the game, I'll give you a handicap.
Your scores will be counted as double. Got it?
Shizuru: That’s a confident move. But when it comes to rhythm games, I have my fair share of skill.
Lance: Me too. I'm not great at games, but I have some dance experience from the club.
Rui: You two really have some guts, huh?
Staff: Oh, customer! Thank you for what you did the other day!
Thank you for dealing with that troublesome customer! More than anything, I'm grateful for your continued visits!
Shizuru: What the heck? I didn’t hear anything about this, Rui?
Lance: Haha. Is that why we couldn’t get in touch with you on the day of the Rider Summit?
Rui: It’s not that big of a deal anyway.
Shizuru: Excuse me, staff. What happened between that troublesome customer and this guy?
Staff: Well, they both disappeared down an alley…
Shizuru: Oh dear, that sounds serious. That troublesome customer chose the wrong person to mess with.
Lance: In that case, you should have just been honest about it.
Rui: …That’s enough chit-chat. It’s time for a game.
[A few minutes later]
Lance: I lost….
Shizuru: Ahhh! The score was so close!
Rui: I said I’d give you a handicap, didn’t I? A win is a win.
Lance: Yeah, I have no complaints.
Shizuru: Since we lost, it can’t be helped! Let’s go home and celebrate!
[ —At the Slam Days Base]
Rui: Hah... Today’s booze is great.
Shizuru: Today’s no different, right?
Lance: Really. You guys always say that alcohol tastes great.
Rui: Well then, which one of you should I choose as the leader, Shizuru or Lance?
Shizuru: What are you talking about?
Lance: The person who wins the game will be the leader, right?
Rui: What? What do you mean? That's not what we agreed on.
Shizuru: No, that’s not. We just made that decision.
Rui: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Shizuru: Well as you wish, we'll give you a positive evaluation.
Rui: What the heck…?
Shizuru: No matter how much I drink and come home, you're always there and takes care of me.
Lance: You manage home supplies and food at the base making sure it doesn’t run out.
Shizuru: More importantly, you have charisma that helps keep peace in the Entertainment District.
Lance: Just the ideal role to be our Leader!
Rui: …What a pain in the ass.
Shizuru: That being said, a leader is just a title. Our motto is all about Freedom.
Lance: It doesn’t matter if you're the leader, anyone who can make it to the Rider Summit can be the leader for that day.
Rui: ...Yeah, it doesn’t really change anything for us Slam Days.
Shizuru: Alright, let's raise a toast.
Lance: To what?
Rui: To Freedom.
Shizuru: To Freedom.
Lance: To Freedom.
Rui, Shizuru and Lance: CHEERS!!
