CHONNY JASH
this artist will satify ur insane music taste sooooo well esp if ur a little sad queer.. maybe even if ur a system..
VERY TECH-ROCK TYPE BEAT!!
i reccomend starting out with the before as its his spotify debut and i feel as its a great starting point for his music since it shows most of his style in a way thats easier to get into!
JUVON DARKSIDE
inspired by tyler the creators style of rapping and samples juvons music is the PERFECT mix of chill rap and rhythmic hip hop pop that gets me movin my head side to side!!!!! deffo reccomend Magic Marker Pencil Flow and Round n Round
JAVI VERA
funky jazz rock type beat fr!!! another tiktok find and hes AWESOME his style is super upbeat and reminds me alot of 80's glam type music !! a few recs are his single JUSTAPIECE and STILL TALKIN :3
TAME IMPALA
autistic and lonely w a bunch of exs you resent alot? me too so listen to this other austrailian white guy w cool voice effects sing w really trippy synths in the bg!!!
Start out w his most popular stuff and work your way down to his oldest work! currents to slow rush to lonerism to innerspeaker is the best way to start because currents and slow rush are very similar in their pop vibe w amazing synths while lonerism has a bit of the pop style but is more rock heavy which will ease you into innerspeaker his most psychadelic rock album! (bonus if u listen to the myspace songs on youtube bc serpentine is SO GOOD.)
OS MUTANTES
ok getting obscure here..
DO U LIKE LOUD SOUNDS? me too!!!! listen to this brazilian psych rock band from the 80's i think
start out with the artist titled album "os mutantes" i think my fav is probably "A minha menina" ("my girl") but deffo check em out..
YONLU
another portuguese artist? more likely than u think (i literally found him today n his music is great)
brazilian bedroom pop/rock!! he only has one album "a society in which no tear is shed" and my fav off it is "i know what its like" !!
HALFnHALF
a 4 member los angeles based band!! they mix the best parts of R&B, soul, hip hop, pop, and jazz to create an incredibly unique and recognizable sound!! their melodies sway perfectly with the music and is perfect for a relaxing upbeat sound! Reminds me of 'WILLOW's style of vocals. i reccomend LADY , Bad News , and We Just Talk stay tuned to their music too! they have an upcoming single release this june!
COSMO SHELDRAKE
are you a little forest creature? no? well i wish so cosmos music is the next best thing i guess
"The much much how how and i" album captures the feeling u get looking at those cottagecore slideshow vids on tiktok i love it so much
a few stand outs are hocking, linger longer, solar waltz, and come along!
YOUNG THE GIANT
indian inspired rock band? oh my god sign me up
young the giant is probably one of my if not my fav band because of how they mix traditional indian music with modern rock and how effortless it feels !!! an album where this is most prominent is "american bollywood" some of my fav stand outs are "the walk home" "i bite" and "wake up"
one of my other fav albums by them is the self titled "young the giant" album, some stand outs.. "cough syrup" "islands" "apartment" "islands" and "guns out" (trust me i can go on abt that album so ill cut myself off there)
LINCOLN
depressed midwest emo at its peak idgaf !!1!!
u want some sad as shit songs to scream at the top of ur lungs one rlly bad night? listen to the "everything is wrong" album!! my personal favs are "oh lord" "baby take my acid" and "everything" another good one (and his only other project) is his "A constant state of ohio" EP stand outs rrr "downhill" and "how i survived bobby mackey's personal hell" (this is very hard bc the whole ep is so fire but my favs will always win)
DOVE PHOTOS
MORE BEDROOM POP!1!!!
silly band.. pretty schmall w only two singles but i love them very dearly!!! "Cinema" is their first single and their only one w more than one song on it! my favs are "dove" and "homer" sadly its a three song single so "should be" is gonna be demoted outside my fav catagory ://
MAGIC CITY HIPPIES
it would be a crime to exclude my fav miami based band wtfff
their first ep is the only bit of their stuff ive listened to but its so peak.. "Hippie castle EP" some of my top favs r "limestone" "fanfare" and "four of a kind"
RUBY LEFTSTEP
garage rock w sick drums,,,, its so fire and they have a really close sound to cage the elephant !!!!
ive listened to a little of their "The Ground up EP" a few of my favs so far are "Halcyon" and "For thr record" :3
HOMESTYLE DINNER ROLLS grunge rock w two hot frontmen what else do u need!!! their new release Take is a bop and their single Honey Almond Blues is actual heat totally check em out :33!
DEAN
korean r&b artist!!! his vocals and production flow so nicely its actually so nice.. i literally fall asleep to his single Instagram every night and it works like a charm!!! his music is like music to my ears fr... a few other recs r a few songs off his 130 Mood: TRBL album are "What to do" and "풀어" :3
WAITRESS
Las vegas based alt band! very reminicent of 'the garden' and 'mooks' sound!! super funky and great lyrics! currently they only have two releases, Applauding god and Trust me, im lying both are incredible tracks!!!
APOLLO FLOWERCHILD
take a little bit of every genre and sprinkle a little jazz/blues influences to it and you get this!! Their music is reminds me a little of 'Teddy hyde' if you enjoy his music im sure you'll LOVE apollo flowerchild! Their singing style is also reminicent of jhariahs style of over dramaticism within vocals! Id recommend to start out with Homomorphism , I THINK I KNOW!? , and Palavras No Osso :)
Theres more to come... :3
