Momotalk

R: Sensei, you remember our promise today?
S: We're going to a baseball game right?
R: Yeah! It's even more exciting going with you!
R: Today's match is going to be awesome
R: Please look forward to it!
R: Well then Sensei
R: I'll be looking forward to seeing you at Browns Sox Stadium
R: There'll be a penalty if you're late.

S: Everyone's fired up...
R: That's cuz we've got a match between a famous rival duo today!
R: The fans of both teams have no idea if they're supposed to be friends or enemies. They're pretty famous for that dynamic
R: There's even some people who call it a tradition of the game!
???:: Uuh.. Uwan...!
R: Eh? Is there someone crying?
Lost kid: Sis... where did you go...?
R: S-sensei! That kid...
S: It looks like she got separated due to the crowd.
R: Umm, in these times...
R: Right now, let's bring her to the stadium authorities.
R: Over here Sensei! I know where to go!
R: Hey, it's alright. We'll keep you safe while we look for your family!
Lost child: R-really?

We guided by the stadium staff to the break room
We decided to wait with the kid until her parents showed up.

R: Hey, you like baseball?
Lost child: Dunno... I just followed my sis here.
Lost child: But she's not here... will I ever see her again...?
R: Hey it's okay! I'm sure you'll find them here. They're probably fans of baseball too.

R: Hey, a foul ball's coming over here...
R: Hup!
R: Haha! I got it! I guess it's my lucky day Sensei!
Lost Child: ...
R: Oh? You want this ball?
Lost Child: No thanks. My sis told me to give lost things to police officers.
R: Ah, I see... thing is, this is a ball you can keep. Baseball's a bit different from finding a lost item.
Lost Child: Really?
R: In other ball games... I mean, sports that use balls, you score points using the ball, right? Like soccer or basketball.
R: In those games, you can't give the ball to spectators...
R: But baseball is different, it's the people who score points, not the ball. So if someone catches the ball, they can keep it!
R: The players rushing to home base as the ball flies through the air... what do you think? Doesn't it sound cool?
Lost Child: Hmm... I don't really get it...
R: I, I see... I guess it's not something a child can easily understand...
Robot Referee: That's three strikes! Out!
R: Look at that! Three strikes! The foul gave the batter an extra chance. That was nerve wracking.
R: He took the chance and shook up the batter with a downward curveball...
R: And the ball went straight down the middle and hit the batter out! Now that was a battle!
Lost Child: I don't get it... it's boring!
Lost Child: Big sis still isn't here... I guess she likes baseball more than me.
Lost Child: I don't like baseball at all!
Lost Child: You're just standing and hitting a ball...
Lost Child: It's not cool at all! I hate my sis! I hate baseball!
R: ...
R: (Baseball, isn't cool...?)
R: (Now that I think about it, I was like this when I was younger, wasn't I...)
R: Y'know, baseball is a sport that's meant to be [boring]
S: Wait, really?
R: Y-you thought it was boring too, Sensei?
R: Well, what baseball's all about is pining down an opponent for one inning.
R: Three batters hit grounders or flies on the first ball, resulting in three outs.
R: It's not flashy, so it is kinda boring. But nonetheless, you need to be precise with your throws.
R: Baseball is a sport where you need to draw attention despite it's inherent dullness.
R: Of course, focusing on high tension moments is important, but you also need to put in effort in the more boring parts of the game.
R: That's why I like it.
R: Ever heard of a swan? They look like they're just floating gracefully, but their kicking their legs out under the water.
R: In order to maintain a beautiful appearence, they work hard behind the scenes.
R: Don't you think that's pretty cool?
Lost Child: I, I guess...?
R: Isn't it?
R: Yeah...
Lost Child: Maybe, baseball isn't so bad...?
R: See?
Announcer: Batter number 6 had an iron grip on the curveball!
Ancouncer: The ball soars over center field! He runs and runs! Kicking off first base, he aims for second base!
R: HE FINALLY GOT IT! GO GO GO! GET TO SECOND BASE!
Lost Child: Ah, the ball's coming back!
R: It's alright, he can still slide to the base... what's the verdict!?
Announcer: Safe! It's a safe! What an excellent slide! He turned a single into a double!
R: YES!
Lost Child: Wow!
R: Well? Are you having fun after all?
Lost Child: Yeah! I dunno why, but that was fun! I loved it!
R: Hehe, it's only gonna get better from here!

(The match only got more heated)
(We found the kid's sister too)
(She looked to be panicking and desperately searching for someone)

Big Sis: I can't thank you enough for this...
Big Sis: Are you okay? I was so worried about you... thank God nothing happened.
Lost Child: I'm fine! We watched baseball together so it wasn't lonely!
Lost Child: Bye bye! I had fun today! Thank you!
R: I'm glad. That kid's going home with a smile today... hehe.
S: I was impressed by your baseball explanation too.
R: Eh!? My explanation...?
R: ...
R: D'ough! Quit teasing me, Sensei!
S: I wasn't, though.
R: In that case, just quit saying embarrassing things in public...

(Rei pulled her hat down a little)
(But her ears were clearly red)
